Shrimp tacos are really tasty. The mustard sauce on it is out of the world. The taco shells are flaky. And there is $2 taco Sunday.

The meat in the Burrito was tasteless and the rice was funky, Sour cream was free which was great cause I had to drown the Burrito in it. It just wasn't very good at all.

Rex-Mex like my grandmother would have made...she was Polish. My wife and I are huge fans of Tex-Mex and we were disappointed to say the least. Their burritos lacked variety and were almost tasteless. Their "mild" rojo sauce tasted like tomato purée with diced onions. Save the anguish and go to El Cactus 5 minutes down the street. Quote of the evening, "I can't tell if this is really crappy beef or really overcooked chicken."

Every time I go to Becky's Drive-in (from Philadelphia, PA), I stop at Santa Fe Taco. Their Mexican food is top-notch. They always have a specialty salsa and at least two other ones to eat with your chips - all you want. I love their buffalo chicken and fish tacos. I do not know how they flavor their fish tacos so well, but it is really special. Santa Fe Taco is pretty inexpensive. You do not even have to tip a waiter. If you want more tacos, you buy more at the counter. If you want more salsa, you walk up to the salsa station. Great prices, great food, and pretty much self-service. It's a great combo to me. I wish they would open one here in Philadelphia.

Santa Fe Taco is awesome! We recently moved to the next town over and discovered Santa Fe Taco- so glad we did! Has not disappointed us yet! I usually get one of the Taco Combos- love that you can substitute their boardwalk style fries for Rice & Beans! Very Fresh and Very Yummy! Great Guacamole!

Great BBQ chicken quesadilla, very large. The fish taco was also good. Corn salsa is a nice touch. Clean fun atmosphere and friendly employees.

Quick, cheap and delicious place to grab a bite of authentic Mexican food. You wouldn't expect it to be as good as it is. Definitely worth a try for any Lehigh Valley foodies

Cool little Mexican joint. Tacos are great. The enchiladas were sub-par. I ordered the number 3 combination which included 2 enchiladas and 1 taco along with a side of whole black beans covered in cheese and some rice. The tacos are really good. The rest not so much. I will go back again and order the tacos or a burrito. The service is non existent which keeps the the bill down. I like this. It's mostly self serve except for the main meal. Seems to have a friendly atmosphere.

Great idea; needs work. I love the idea of a Buffalo chicken, scallop, or fire roasted vegetable taco. Unfortunately, none really delivered on their promise. The star was probably the scallop taco -- deep fried and crispy with a tasty creamy chipotle sauce. The Buffalo chicken tacos were close, but needed something like blue cheese or ranch and some chopped celery to really be called Buffalo chicken. But the clear worst was the fire roasted vegetables, which seemed more steamer tray than fire roasted -- mushy and completely devoid of flavor, lacking anything close to the expected sweetness of real roasted veggies. Otherwise a very clean and pleasant stop if you are going to the D&L trail nearby.

Salsa and guacamole were both delicious. Taco was tasty and I liked that the beef wasn't greasy. The place was very clean. Good value for the money. My only wish was that the hard taco shell was a little more crispy. Overall, very pleased!

Love love love their tacos!!! If you want taco Tuesday definitely get there before noon or after 1:30 to beat the lines. If your adventurous try their hot sauce I forget the name in a bottle made with habanero sad really really good. It's not for the light hearted. Just a fair warning. I also had their green chili rice. Excellent! Next time it's a burrito and guacamole. all items are prepared and made fresh daily. You can tell its in the taste!

Very cool place with affordable and tasty food! Liked the overall atmosphere. Staff could have been a bit more cheerful but it wasn't the worst. Service was quick and efficient. Get as little or as much food as you can handle. Free wifi too!

Really good food!! First time here and I would definitely go back! Tried the steak tacos with fries (boardwalk style), both were very fresh. Love the portions of fries and the size of the tacos were huge. Also tried the fried pickles with our meal, the southwestern ranch dip was superb. While your there, try the pineapple salsa that you can grab yourself on the side. This place would have more traffic if advertised better I feel.

Went with my brother. We told the girl behind the counter we wanted to do the challenge and she said " you're both going to do it? Ok, Im not gonna look because its gross and I'll throw up". The girl was right, it was gross. I bet they have amazing food there but these burritos were disgusting. Chili was sweet, rice was terrible and beans were disgusting. The way they rolled the burritos were bad, more than half was rice and beans. The other end was a small amount of meat. I took the first bite and thought, should I just stop now or try to eat this. I figured we drove up there so I'd go for it. One burrito down I looked at my brother and said " seriously about to throw up " he said " dont talk about throwing up". So starting the second burrito I looked at him and started laughing, just thinking of projectile vomiting and ending the challenge. He knew why I was laughing. I want to go back and try other things on their menu.

My wife and I love this place. We eat here 2 - 3 times a month. The menu offers a nice variety of intriguing taco options. My wife is in love with the chicken club taco and I typically opt for the Burrito of the Month. You can also find a bunch of menu items on the chalkboard next to the register. If you have been driving by and thinking about stopping in, stop thinking about it and do yourself a favor!

August 16, 2011 - Update: I've just been informed that Santa Fe Taco uses bacon fat, lard and chicken broth in otherwise vegetarian dishes. I should have checked this before writing the review I hope the management at Santa Fe chooses to create truely vegetarian dishes but until then I will have to leave this as a one star. ******************************************************************************* Original Review: Vegetarians rejoice! The Roasted Vegetable Burrito is a NOT the typical sprouts and wheat grass usually offered to those of us who don't eat meat. It is a gigantic, jam-packed, glorious feast that takes two days to eat. Seriously, I think it weighs over a pound! They have a condiment bar with various salsas and hot sauces to please every palette. You can replace meat with roasted vegetables in all of their dishes. They make everything fresh so you can have it any way you like it! Yum! PS This is by no means a "vegetarian" establishment. They just happen to offer something for everyone. Nice.

perfection on a tortilla. I don't even know where to begin. Taco Tuesday (buy three get one free)? yeah, i'm there almost every week. get the pulled pork tacos and thank me later. Cara fancies the baby scallop tacos quite a bit, can't say I'm a fan. if pork and scallops isn't your bag, there's also classic beef, ground sausage, chicken, greek style with gyro meat, and more... delicious chiles rellenos? yes, please. giant, deep fried apple burrito with vanilla ice cream? you got it. mouth watering cheese enchiladas with green chile sauce? yup. sweet chipotle chicken wings? bangin'. if there is a heaven, if im lucky enough to even be there, and if there are tacos being served, the good folks at Santa Fe should be doing the catering. only complaint, the tacos are so damn good, they have prevented my from trying some of the other menu items (like their burritos)!

Hubby & I really love this place. My hubby grew up in the area & he used to rave about a place called Take-A-Taco that had closed a dozen years ago. About 3-4 years ago we discovered that Take-A-Taco still existed & was tied to the Sante Fe Taco Co. in Northampton. Hubby says they're tacos are a smidge different than the original Take-A-Taco, but they're still yummy delicious. They offer a choice of seasoned meats (shredded chicken, ground beef, shredded pork or sausage) to choose from for their regular tacos, but they also offer "specialty" tacos, such as a cheese steak taco. For those wanting to skip the meat, SFTC offers "specialty" black bean tacos, grilled veggie tacos, &, my favorite, fish tacos. Most of their tacos are served in lightly grilled flour tortillas with shredded lettuce and cheese (the fish tacos come w/ guacamole instead of cheese). The black bean taco is also offered in a hard, corn taco shell. SFTC offers more than just tacos. They also serve burritos, enchiladas, tamales (very good), chile rellenos, soup, chili, etc. Their prices are very reasonable, the portions are satisfying, and the staff is pleasant. Give them a try for a very casual Beth-Mex 'fast-food' meal!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
