I absolutely love Baja Fresh!!! Every bite is a reminder of my youth in California. The quality of the meat and simplicity of the Baja burrito creates the quintessential burrito in my opinion. When stumbling upon this location here in PA, I was concerned it would be a poor representation. But it wasn't!!! Was just as good as I remember!

Love going here but stopped by for lunch today and is "closed until further notice will reopen as soon as possible"?

It gets the job done when I am craving Mexican. It's actually quite authentic for "Baja" style. Burritos, tacos, quesadillas - all just fine here. This is the only Mexican restaurant in PA that also exists in Southern California...so that tells you something at least.

I placed an online order for fried fish tacos and chicken fajitas. When I opened my order at first the fish tacos where grilled, not really a big deal to me they where still ok. My fajitas on the other hand where completely vacant of chicken. I calmed just to kind of give them a heads up and let them know that my order was wrong because I had no time to go back, well then it gets good because they started passing me around the restaurant and then ultimately blamed it on me. I wasn't yelling, I wasn't even asking for anything. I only wanted to let them know that they messed up my order. I have an email confirmation on the order I placed so I know it wasn't my fault. so I plan on taking my business elsewhere.

I got shrimp tacos, Baja style. Didn't enjoy it portion was small and un appetizing for the price. I personally prefer Chipotle which is right up the street.

This is on par with Moe's. It'll do in a pinch. The service was great and the food was huge. I'd definitely go again when I'm looking for a quick meal on the road!

I used to go here a lot and I wish i did more absolutely love it! The food is so yum and the people are super nice. If you ever go definitely try the enchiladas style burritos definitely amazing!! They have an awesome menu and it's fresh tasting and a really fun environment too! The portions are huge and the prices are definitely good for the amount and quality of food you are getting!

I love this place!!!!!! Dang they really turned themselves around as a business -- once a jank, ambiguously Mexican restaurant, Baja Fresh is now super trendy, delicious, and actually fresh! Yay for them! I definitely recommend stopping by one of their locations and giving them a chance. They spruced up their menu and now offer many unique options -- all of which are super healthy and come in HUGE portions for CHEAP. I recommend the salads and the burritos enchilada style (omg so good). I repeat, the portions are HUGE. Like 2x the size of Chipotle and still cheaper! The besttt part of your Baja experience will be the salsa bar. So many options! A variety of spice level and unique options like mango salsa and adobo sauce mix in with the norm tomato based salsas. They also have jalapeno and yellow peppers. It's almost never super full at this location so it's easy to get your food. It's also veryyy clean. I wish they'd get rid of the hideous black and white tiling and maybe just all-around redecorate lol but whatevs, 5 stars!

The food is good and the salsa bar choices are nice but they are stingy on what they put in your Baja bowls or burritos. I order the Nacho burrito every time and I always tell them that I can never taste the queso but they never fix it. The burrito is very DRY which means they put a small drop of queso and no salsa. I've been going to Baja Fresh for 15 years and the quality hasn't been maintained. They staff at this location used to be more generous or even fair with the quantity but management seems to have changed. But they do still have the best napkins at any fast food place :-)

Second visit to this location. Why did I subject myself to this? Well, somehow I thought it wouldn't be so bad this time. Service and food were still good but the restaurant itself had not improved. This time, there was some kind of foul odor somewhere in the dining area. Then I saw one of the staff using a floor broom, after sweeping the floor, to dust the seats. This is not as bad as what I saw on my previous visit, when they used the toilet plunger to fix the salsa bar, but if they're taking shortcuts like this, I can't imagine what atrocities they commit back in the kitchen.

I lovvvved Baja Fresh when I was in L.A.. This one was dirty and they told me that the mango salads was thawing right below the sign that said no freezers! WTF? Get your game up!

We love Baja Fresh... there's nothing not to love, really... The food is always fresh and hot... they make things to order.. and the salsa is delicious. I'd like a broader selection of food... more like Qdoba but that's not really a critcism...

Great service, food is fresh and served quickly. The place is always kept clean. There is an outdoor patio for nights when the weather is good. Th menu includes fantastic fish tacos for a very good price.

Definitely one of the better pseudo-mexican spots in our area. Leaps and bounds better than Chipotle. Service has always been very good and I enjoy the salsa bar where I can get as much as I want--I like to load up on the pico de gallo and peppers. Flavorwise they are better than the other spots, the food is cooked to order, not made up prior to your arrival and served in a subway type line. Their menu is much larger than chipotle also, and everything is not loaded up with cilantro lime rice (thank god!). I usually get their cobb burrito... but all are very good. Loved the fish tacos they had...

It's my first time going there and the food is good for what it is worth. I like their quesadilla which is loaded with cheese! Their mild salsa is very fresh. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it a great option for a sit-out lunch on a nice day. They also have a large selection of different salsa and peppers you can try out. According to my coworker, those little yellow peppers are super spicy and addictive.

First time I tried Baja Fresh was here. Liked it, and still do. This Baja Fresh has lots of parking, and it's clean. No surprise, as it's in a suburban shopping center. Had no problems hearing my name when my order was called. I might not know any better, but I still generally prefer Baja over Taco Hell (which is a totally different level than anyway) and Qdoba.

Fresh. Reasonably healthy. Love the salsa bar... make things as hot as you'd like. Fast service. When we need a quick family meal --carry out or eat-in-- we regularly stop here with minimal guilt.

I have always loved this place. Being one of the first to enjoy real nongreasy non fried mexy street food in vegas no less. In 2001. Get the catered assortment for ur office. 80$ for 10-12 people and its outstanding. Do not go when really crowded. Especially with kids. That's all. Stick to tacos. Can't go wrong. Guac is great. They do chicken. Shrimp and fish right. Get a shrimp taco. Yum.

Love Baja Fresh! It's great for what it is - quick, fresh Mexican food. I always get the Americano Soft Tacos (chicken or shrimp) and an order of guacamole. Every time I've ordered it's always been fresh and tasted great. Complimentary chips and salsa bar is also nice. If you walk in expecting family style authentic Mexican restaurant food, you might be disappointed, but that's not what this place is.

BAJA is fast-food Mexican king! This location is very clean and the staff is friendly and efficient! The manager had once made an off-menu recommendation for me as I desired a solid Vegan/Gluten-Free option and I was thrilled! He was very helpful and certainly represented Baja Fresh positively. I will return as often as I feel up for making a 20 minute drive across town.

Tasty food for this caucasian guy. Friendly service, fast service, fresh tasting. I like that nothing is canned or microwaved. A little pricey, but the serving sizes are large and last me for more than one sitting. Nice tortilla chips too.

Every time i go down to Montgomeryville, this is where i eat. I agree with the previous reviewer Way way better than the bland Chipolte. Good pork tacos and the tostada salad is super good, even without meat. Nice slasa bar where you can load up on pico de gallo, salsas, cilantro, jalapenos.

Baja Fresh is OK in my book. I like Qdoba/Chipotle a bit more flavorwise, but i really like the concept of Baja's salsa bar. You can load up on the different types of Salsa. This location wasn't nearly as gross as Rafael made it seem on the days we came in. They did announce order numbers over a loudspeaker, though - but I could discern ours. I like the fish tacos at Baja - that is something that neither Qdoba nor Chipotle offer. Reminds me a bit of the Maui Tacos chain. They also do a decent salad in a bowl. Baja Fresh is a good fast food alternative (watch the calorie counts of what you order) if you don't feel like a burger.

After looking for a quick place to have lunch given my Lenten constraints, I settled up one Baja Fresh. I ordered their taco combo online with one fried fish taco and one grilled fish taco which comes with beans and rice as well as some chips. The order was not ready when I got there, but was ready soon thereafter. Both fish were fine, though I preferred the grilled fish which had a nice char on it. The double corn taco was overstuffed with cabbage. The fish salsa on top did complement the fish very well. Good value and good food.

Delicious! Quesadillas are excellent! Smokey queso fundido is really awesome! Food is made to order fresh and hot. Would recommend if in the mood for Mexican food! And that's why I happily give it 5 star rating!

As a chain, Baja Fresh's best features are usually the freshness of the food and the cleanliness of the restaurants. My single experience at this location though left me with the impression of inexcusable filthiness. Detritus from multiple past meals on the tables, nasty windows that badly needed washing, and finally, my in laws had something drip on them from the ceiling (it wasn't even raining that day). The Disney pop playing over PA, interrupted once a minute by "NUMBER 43? NUMBER 43? YOUR GARBLE IS GARBLE", didn't enhance our experience.

This was the best (and only) quick Mexican restaurant in town several years ago. Since then, Moes' and Chipotle have moved in. I don't think I've eaten here since the Chipotle opened up in 2009. After having eaten at a Baja Fresh in Miami, I was excited to try this place. It turned out to be only middling quality, with a very national-fast-food-chain feel to it. The only similarity between this and the place in Miami was the restaurant's name. In retrospect, they may not even be part of the same organization. I was disappointed. The food is unremarkable, but I did eat there a few more times when I was jonesing for something Mexican-ish. If you are already there, it will probably be fine..

Is it me or is it twice as expensive as it should be? It's ok but for $25 for 2 people I'll have sushi boxes not cheap Mexican.

We came in late (8:30pm) and though this location closes at 9, we were welcomed by an enthusiastic staff. A number of nearby establishments say they're open until 9pm, but lock their doors for dining by 8:30, so we were a little worried dropping in so close to closing. Our food was fresh, made on the spot, and really tasty. We got a burrito, chicken tortilla soup, and two of their new soft shell tacos with beans and rice. Everything was really good and upped my impression of this Mexican food chain! The store is clean and even the self-serve salsa station was tidy. Big bonus points in my book!

I'm very much a big fan of Baja Fresh. I wish there was one closer to my house. I've frequented many times. The burritos are amazing and the churros are even better. The guacamole is pretty good as well. It's always clean and the service is always very nice. I also like the salsa bar. One of my favorite fast sit and eat places

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
