The best Italian food period. From the steaks & hoagies, to their veal parmesan & Steaks. Take out to full menu. Place is the cleanest in the area.

Well this place is decent. Here is what we had and how we felt about it. 1. Margherita Pizza : Real Brick oven pizza and this tasted very good. The crust was just right and crispy. 2.Fried Calamari: Cook just right and very fresh. Very good. 3. House Salad- Came with my meal- Very basic salad and store bought dressing. Could be better. 4. Chicken Piccata: Really disappointed with this one. Wasn't breaded like it should be. came out cold. Didn't taste very good and wasn't as discribed in the menu. 5. Clams: Very small and not worth the $8.95 price. Service: It was decent. Price: The pizza was inexpensive and worth the price. The rest of the items a little over priced for the quality.

Excellent food & service overall. The only thing I wouldn't recommend are the Baltimore Fries. Hardly any OldBay seasoning and the little cup of cheddar they give you tastes weird. Not really sure why, but it just doesn't taste like a cheese sauce should. The $5 price isn't worth it. On the plus side, 90% of the time the owner will personally go to each table and ask how everything is. This is truly a place that cares about customer service & quality. They'll be opening a hookah bar down the street in a few weeks where Maniaci's used to be. Not sure how this will work out in the Mohnton area but if anyone can make it work, it would be this guy.

Though we were unaware that Mangia! is closed on Tuesday, and were disappointed when we pulled in to the empty parking lot - we were undaunted and returned on Wednesday. Their Garlic Bread is that good. Warm, soft and flavorful! I had a hankering for their Italian Wedge Salad - which is honestly a mammoth portion - so I did get my Gnocci to go. My Husband loves that the Veal Parmigiana is made with real veal and he devoured every last morsel. Our waitress, Annie, was a treat too. She was very warm and welcoming. Can't wait to return. Just not on a Tuesday.

Your typical Italian restaurant, nothing too unique. I've only been there once, so I only have 1 experience to draw from, but I would try it again. I ordered the shrimp scampi with broccoli. It was a nice generous portion with lots of shrimp, but it lacked flavor and "oomph". I had to add tons of salt and parmesan cheese. I was disappointed that the house salad was iceburg because I really hate iceburg, so then again I'm always disappointed when this is what I'm served in what is supposed to be a "nicer" sit down kinda place. If you're gonna charge $15.99 for a pasta entree, at least give us a nice romaine salad. I thought the sandwiches and pizza were a decent price, but the entrees were a little too steep (although they do come with said salad and garlic bread, which was yummy). The place was packed, so service was a little slow, but not overly so and the waiter was attentive. The atmosphere is comfy, and even though I sat inside it's nice that they have some outdoor seating. The bathroom was nice n' clean, which is always very important to my first impression of a restaurant. I will definitely have to try the pizza next time since they use a real wood-fired pizza oven.

I really really dislike this place! Their food was terrible! My boyfriend and I got spinach dip as an appetizer which was either canned or cooked so long that all the flavor cooked out. Not good. My dinner was lobster mac and cheese... Sounds delicious right? It's not. It was so salty I couldn't eat it. The lobster was overcooked and rubberized. It obviously came from a can or freezer. My boyfriend had some kind of peppers with pasta sort of dish... He couldn't eat it. And he finishes everything. The service staff were rude, inattentive, and sloppily dressed. When we got home from from eating here, I got physically ill, and my boyfriend needed to go to bed early from feeling nauseated. The table bread was good. The floor was clean. I hear they have good pizza and strombolis. I'll never know, though. I won't be returning.

We got to try the wood oven pizza. And were amazed that it turned out awesome. We definitely plan on coming back with our parents to show them good Italian food.

I have been to Mangia several times. I have always been very impressed with the customer service and quality of food. Every time I go,I order the tableside pasta Parmigana Reggiano pasta in the cheese wheel. I first had this dish in Aruba, and was excited to try it again. They have certainly not disappointed. The owner is very friendly, and makes the meal with a very entertaining flambe. The quality is always high, the dish is consistent. Tonight was no different. Great service and a nice atmosphere. Always a favorite of mine.

Went there for the sunday breakfast & $3 bloody marys. Food was good, nothing specatular but decent breakfast food & a good price. The bloody mary was obviously not properly mixed & was 75% ice. Our server though was horrible. Probably the worse service I've had in years. It seemed like waiting on us was an inconvenience. Never introduced herself, never came back to see how our food or drinks were. We actually had to flag someone else down to get our check. If it's wasn't for the fact that the service was so bad I would have called this a solid 3.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
