Whispering Pines offers 18-holes of golf during the summer and a snow tubing park known as Avalanche Xpress during the winter. This review will focus on the snow tubing park as I am not a golfer. Accommodations: 1. Club House for Golfers with a snack bar and dining area. 2. An indoor snack bar with a few arcade games for children/teens. 3. Small restrooms Pros: 1. Convenient location for those living south of Meadville. 2. Long Hill 3. Cable pulls you back up the hill Cons: 1. Must drag your feet for at least the last 100 feet to slow down to keep out of pond. Rude older employee standing in the middle to slow people down. 2. In 2014-2015, they took the uphill slope away from the people that was used to slow people down. 3. Very busy on nice days - only have 4 lanes open and unable to move in line. 4. Prices are slightly higher than nearest competitors. Bottom Line: Consider all your options before choosing Avalance Xpress. For a family, I would go elsewhere.
