My husband and I had been trying to get into this place since it opened, and every time we went the line was out the door. We finally decided to try again on a Sunday afternoon. Perfect - no wait. Since we hadn't been there before we took a little extra time to look over the menu. However, we didn't need the 20 minutes the waiter ended up giving us because of "issues" he had with another table's order. The food also took quite some time to come to the table. When it did, it went to another table first. The waitress told that table she didn't know where she was going, and scooted off to the back before we had the chance to flag her down, then came to us a minute or two later. I ordered the Salmon Avocado BLT, fries and a side of the Onion Gravy. The sandwich was so poorly put together that as soon as I picked up each half, I had to put it back together so I could even eat it. It was alright, nothing amazing. The Onion Gravy, we both thought, was certainly nothing special. It was thick and lumpy and over-seasoned. The fries weren't bad - fresh cut, seasoned. The seasoning brought back memories of Dingbats fries. My husband got the Shroom N Swiss Burger. His patty was half off the bun, and he said he couldn't really taste the mushrooms at all, despite there being a semi-decent amount on the burger. Our waiter was MIA the whole time we ate. Never came back to ask how everything was or to refill our drinks. The bartender actually saw that my husband needed a refill and ended up coming over to get it for him. It comes time to pay, we get our receipt and our waiter told us he was going to bring drinks to another table and he'd be right back. I assume that other table was at the South Side location because that took another 10-15 minutes. When he did come back he apologized for the wait and once again said there were some "issues" and he didn't know what was going on. We were in there for almost 2 hours, which to me is an awfully long time for two people who just ordered a sandwich and a burger. Needless to say, we won't be going back.

I sat at bar. The steak was cooked to perfection. I had the brisket before and was also good. Band was setting up to play so that was a bonus. They sounded great in warm up. Had a couple of bourbons which were good. But I just don't feel comfortable here. A lot of young guys drinking beer which are ok, but got a lot of other regulars that stare at you like what are you doing here? I would be back for food and bourbons if I felt more comfortable too much on a 'in croud'.

This place is so good! Popped in with my ma to grab a little lunch, we split the pulled porky with sweet potato fries and creamy cherry coleslaw. Everything was delicious and the selection of beer was divine!

I have been to the Double Wide Grill three times now and the third time is the charm. I have been completely underwhelmed every time I have dined at this establishment. The food has either been mediocre or the serving staff have been unattentive and/or wrong about our orders or it has been some combination of the two. I really tried to give this place a chance but it just keeps disappointing me so I think it's time to mark this place off of the list of potential dining options.

This was a fun place to go for lunch! The decor was an eclectic bunch of car parts or related items. It has a huge bar with lots of stools. Our waitress was very sweet, and tried to make it an enjoyable experience. There was a fairly wide selection of beer, hailing from far and near. I got a chicken burrito which was pretty typical, and quite large. The show-stopper was the sweet potato fries and dipping sauce. They were just the right amount of crispy, salty, and sweet! We got red velvet cake for dessert. While it didn't appear to be homemade, it was enjoyable enough. All in all, I would definitely go back!

Starting with only positive part of the visit: The entrée food was not too bad. That's it. My appetizer was served cold. Even though we dined indoors, there were flies EVERYWHERE. Just like eating at the park. Unfortunately we could not even kill one fly, so we had to endure them for the whole meal. The restaurant is filthy, with dirty dried barbecue and ketchup spatter all over the walls. Also I wanted to try their special spicy beef chili, but was told that it wasn't ready yet, which I found puzzling since we were there several hours after they had opened for the day. And finally, the restaurant environment was LOUDER THAN HELL. I had to scream just to have a simple conversation. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.

I have dined at both locations multiple times and I have discovered 2 items that are excellent each and every time: the tilapia tacos and the BBQ pulled porky sandwich. I always skip the rice and beans with the tacos and have veggies as my side and add them to my tacos. The BBQ pulled porky is a huge sandwich-so much so that I usually ditch half the bun and finish off the pork. I like the carolina style sauce-not too vinegary either. They always have a wide selection of good craft beers as well. The patio is great to sit on when it is a nice day outside!

Tonight was my first visit here. It was nice of my mom and sis to go out of their way and take me to a local spot that accommodates vegetarians and vegans alike. They have a large menu with lots to choose from. 2 pages of vegetarian and vegan options like burgers, sandwiches, salads and more. I had the "Tv dinner" which features 2 entree/"meats" and 3 sides+ cornbread (non-vegan) I had the bbq pulled seitan, and the coconut tofu as the entrees and the red rice, the garlic and vinegar coleslaw and the white bean mash as the sides. I also ordered a side of the vegan gravy to go on the mash and race. BBQ pulled seitan was delicious. Very flavorful. The coconut crusted tofu was ok, but the sauce was a little syrupy sweet. The coleslaw and the cornbread were great. Rice and gravy I thought were a little too peppery. Mashed beans were so so. My sister had the bacon, onion burger and my mom had a steak. They both liked their meals. All and all, portion sizes were good. Definitely on the generous side. I could probably have made 2 meals out of my meal on another day. My sister took 1/2 her burger home. Pros: -portion size -variety in the menu-vegan, vegetarian, gluten free options -variety of beers and drinks -cool decor Cons: -Noise, near the bar area -Waiting time, we had a 20 min wait of a Friday night, lesser wait time to sit at bar tops -Spicy flavors, I was ok with this but my mom was not a fan of the dishes with peppers, mushrooms in them. I would definitely visit again.

Everything here tastes horrible. That's all you need to know. Honestly there are 500 other cranberry restaurants that serve frozen food to pick from...choose any of them and it's guaranteed to be better than DWG. Oh, and if you go after like 10pm be prepared to be in a singles bar full of drunken tarts and tards.

We were traveling thought town and we found this place which was vegetarian friendly! I ordered a side of veggies and the were covered in oil! I should have just ordered the fries! The salmon however was delicious!

Great atmosphere. Amazing vegan wings. Especially with Cletus' hot sauce. Be careful during happy hour, they seem to bait-and-switch with prices. I have had most of the items on the vegan menu - the wings are the most memorable.

We thought we'd try out Double Wide as we were looking for a new place to eat. We were excited when we got there. On entry to the restaurant, we first noticed the noise. The acoustics are awful and we found ourselves shouting to one another to be heard. I did not mind that, but if you're looking for a quiet dining spot, this may not be it. We sat at the bar because the wait was 35 minutes, however, after a few minutes at the bar, the after work crowd began to thin out. We ordered the crab corn fritters and bacon, date, bleu cheese bites. Both were marginal at best. The fritters were cooked too fast in oil that was too hot so they were over fried on the outside and under cooked if not raw on the inside. The bacon, date and bleu cheese bites were lacking bleu cheese so it was a bacon date bite with a hint of bleu cheese. I would not order these two apps again if we ever go back. For our mains, I ordered the Git Er Done BBQ plate because the images on the menu suggested it would be awesome. My wife ordered the salmon avocado sandwich, built as a wrap. My plate was just bland and the 4 rib bones I got were from the end of the rack which looked nothing like the picture on the menu. If I was the chef, I'd have not let that plate of food leave the kitchen. The brisket was bland and lacking smoke as was the pulled pork. The ribs were unimpressive.. At best, my wife's wrap was cafeteria quality. There were three servers at the bar so you'd think the hospitality would be above grade. It wasn't. We had to ask for things. Can we get another beer? Can we get some napkins? Can we get some condiments? Can you take away our empty plates that have been sitting here for 15 minutes? We drove 45 minutes to get there. We will not drive 45 minutes to get there again. Between the lackluster food, the noise, and the awful hospitality, I would not return nor would I recommend Double Wide to my friends. My overall impression is that this place is struggling to find its identity and position among the hundreds of restaurants in the Mars/Cranberry area. In order to be successful, they need to place a higher focus on food quality and hospitality. My total bill was 75 dollars. I don't feel like we got value from the experience.

Ok so no matter which doublewide I go to I always order the same thing I get a California salad and seitan wings with honey garlic and a side of tearjerker. Let me just say that the California salad has been going downhill for years. I think that if they would just use a more expensive salad mix it would be much better but they use generic head lettuce mix that you can get from any grocery store. The toppings on the salad are good but the lettuce is always watery so it makes it kind of gross. However I keep ordering it so what does that say about me? Maybe it's just that there's not a better salad on the menu. I tried the brie salad once and it was a really bad. :( The seitan wings however are amazing! For someone who doesn't actually eat meat they are the closest thing to chicken wings I have found in my 16 years of vegetarianism. Okay so here is what's different between the cranberry double wide and the Southside double wide. The cranberry doublewide has really really really good service. They are nice, they are friendly, they come and check on you, and they are not under staffed. If this doublewide wasn't so far out of my way I would go there all the time.

Stopped in on a cold Monday night. They run an awesome happy hour, half price on all well drinks, draft and bottle beers, and house wines. Plus half price on select appetizers. They weren't very busy, but it was early and super cold out. Our server Julee was awesome! She made several recommendations, including a beer that my husband really enjoyed! Service was very fast and super friendly. The food is good, their seitan gyro is super good but the taziki sauce was strange. It was very sweet and didn't taste at all of cucumbers or garlic or anything that was remotely familiar to me. No big deal since the seitan was deliciously seasoned and didn't need a ton of sauce. The arborio rice balls were good, the chipotle ranch made them better for sure. Chris had the brisket sandwich and he said it was super tender and good. Their onion rings were also fantastic. I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews as we had a great experience, seems like they are working on the complaints my fellow yelpers have voiced, which is fantastic! I would definitely go back!

Crappy bloody Mary, very very gritty and chunky. Complained about drinks but were still charged for them. Brunch was good though and server was nice however we should not have been charged for the drinks. I basically had to make my own bloody Mary.

My husband and I went to the Mars location with our kids yesterday for lunch and this will be the first and only time we will ever go to Double Wide again. It certainly lived up to its name...trashy. We were greeted by a very friendly host upon entry and seated right away (of course there were no other patrons eating as far as we could see). Our waitress greeted us quickly and served us well during our time there. Aside from our food menus being left at the table after we ordered and no waters ended up being brought to the table as requested, our server was prompt and friendly. The food and drinks are another story... My husband had ordered a Manhattan which took a while because the sever said she had noticed a bunch of fruit flies in the drink as she was bringing it to the table. She said the bartender had to open a new bottle of vermouth...thank God! The drink was served warm (not traditional for Manhattans) and with a brown lime...I can only assume the bartender is blind at this point. How, when there are no patrons to serve, do you not notice pouring a bottle of fruit flies or think it's acceptable to serve a brown lime! The tilapia taco can only be described as a flavorless sponge, and def not a portion expected for the price (1 taco). My daughters pizza was just plain gross (even for a $4.95 kids portion). My jalapeño burger was grissley (which I didn't even know was possible). The fries were good, as was the ranch dressing, (which covered up the taste of the bitter, brown lettuce on our side salads). Our experience wouldn't be complete without the view we had of one of their kitchen staff standing outside with a friend of his checking out the engine of what I assumed to be his friend's car....with his hands literally down his pants (to keep them warm, I guess). In summary...EPIC FAIL!!!!

So we have been to this restaurant three times now. The first two times were stellar! Awesome food and very attentive staff. But tonight was kind of a disappointment. We ordered a regular and vegetarian chili each which were both good but my favorite part, the homemade corn bread was a joke. We didn't even get a half a slice each. More like mini quarters. Total bummer. Our waitress was nice enough but seemed overwhelmed because they triple sat her. Anyways we also ordered the BBQ Pulled Porkey (a pulled pork sandwich) and the BBQ Seitan (a vegan version of the same. This is where it went really downhill. The pulled pork was dry as a bone and had hardly any sauce on it. When we asked her for more it smelled terrible. Pungent instead of sweet or tangy. My Seitan was pretty gross as well so I had to order a grilled cheese instead so I didn't leave hungry. Overall impression: good place to grab drinks with friends but stick to what you know when ordering and expect it to take awhile.

Great spot in Pittsburgh area. Stopped here for lunch today - had the cheesy meatloaf - very good. I never order meatloaf in a restaurant - why this time? Cheesy meatloaf! I cam back with a friend for dinner. Great atmosphere & good food. Service is great too. I love it when servers like to joke around and have a good time! I will come back & you should too.

Stopped in at the Double Wide for a Saturday afternoon lunch. Atmosphere was funny and good, but too bad the food was not. Between the four of us our bill was nearly 60 dollars. Service wasn't much of a problem for us, he was a little quiet and slow, but was good and prompt. Some in our party enjoyed their meals, the chicken salad with tortilla chips and a vegan gyro, but they weren't impressed enough to consider coming back. The other two in our party were left mighty hungry, feeling empty in their bellies and wallets. For $11 the tilapia tacos were drowned in sauce, hard to eat and contained only what appeared to be one fillet divided between two tacos. With red-peppered rice and beans that tasted like paste it was hardly worth the expensive price tag. The avocado sandwich was mere rabbit food. For $9 the slices were thin, placed on a tiny piece of bread with sprouts, a tomato split in half and some sauce. It seemed a bit much for something that came with so little. We will not be going back, leaving hungry and dissatisfied we nearly headed across the street to the Dairy Queen, but we were already too deep in food money spent.

Great Menu with a large vegan section. I had the Seitan Chicken Wings with the Cajun Rub. They are a wonderful appetizer and come with carrots, celery and cucumbers. For my main dish I had the Seitan Gyros. It was really good. I opted for the sweet potato fries. The food was delicious! The decor of the restaurant is fun. I especially like the airstream trailer play room for kids and the roll-up glass industrial garage doors. There are lots of cool things hanging from the ceiling to grab your attention. Our waitress was very nice and the food was prepared quickly. It if a fun place to go that has excellent food. Give it a try when you are up in Cranberry!

I tried this place out looking for some good BBQ and a mimosa. The Tijauna rice balls were great- loved the spice and they were exactly what I expected. The BBQ pulled pork wrap was tasty- very sweet, but I like that. The mimosas we got were served in those tiny little champagne flutes but they weren't shy about giving us a bigger glass when we requested a more "grown-up" sized beverage! The small uncharge was worth it. We sat on the patios and were being stalked by a crazed bumble bee, so while I can't fault the restaurant for that, it did make the out-door dining experience a little less enjoyable. This place was good for what it was- I'd probably be back if I'll still in town when I get a hankering for this kind of food. The prices were a little high for the experience, but not a deal breaker. I liked the down-home feel.

I like the Double Wide. Sometimes I wonder if it's because I could walk home from there (if needed) or because the atmosphere is conducive to a good time and a good meal. The jury is still out on that. I've been there probably 6-7 times including the week before they officially opened and they were still getting the kitchen and service staff up to speed. It didn't start out well but they've shaken those early jitters and have settled into a respectable place with decent service, good food, and a pretty good bar. Inside the atmosphere is reminiscent of Quaker Steak so you have that kind of feel. The high top tables in the bar area are always my choice for seating- the service is better plus you have the open air breeze when they open all the doors. The menu is diverse enough to accommodate most people's appetites - from BBQ lovers to vegetarians. Something for everyone - even if nothing is "spectacular" or a must have. Good bar food in a good atmosphere. When someone suggests going to the Double Wide, I say sure - not "let's try someplace else". It's one of those kind of places. I like it, I don't love it. Because its a new place in the Cranberry area which is so desperate for decent places to eat, it's packed most times. Waits to get a table in the evenings are commonplace. That detracts from its appeal to me. I tend to go for lunch, late afternoon for an early dinner, or other off peak hours. I love the beer selection. Always a good number of choices and with that, I really don't care that they have a few light beers. With a lot of available tap space and a constant influx of new and seasonal brews I can always find something I want to drink. The popularity has one downside - their happy hour sucks. They don't need to attract people with a good happy hour so they don't offer much. Dollar off drafts at the bar only? Not even close to a good happy hour. Once the crowds die down, I'm hoping they'll reconsider ways to bring the people back. Happy hours really work for me!

Great happy hour and a really nice craft beer selection. The evening started off a bit slow but the server was actually awesome. I would tell anyone to try the seitan wings. Wasn't sure I would like them but they were great and at happy hour prices they were a bargain. Don't get burgers from here, they are nasty but everything else is great. Huge vegetarian menu and great BBQ. Oh did I mention the beer????

Welcome to the north, Double Wide...pull up a chair and stay a while! The casual, laid back atmosphere here along with the gritty (it's a good thing!), real antique garage accoutrements that decorate the Double Wide make for a comfortable dining experience...and the food makes it a delicious experience as well! The atmosphere: similar to Quaker Steak, but real-er. By that I mean everything isn't spit-shined up and/or seems be made-to-look-authentic, that's real mud and rust on the truck overhead! Everything you see is authentic. I like that. The booths are spacious, the chairs and tables sturdy. Everything makes you want to sit and stay a while. The food: What I also like is real food and there's nothing we had that wasn't damned good cooking here! Yeah, we had to wait quite a while for our meals to come out of the kitchen, but it was worth the wait. I had a TV tray - yep, real metal sectioned tray - piled with my choice of 1/2 a rack of spice-rubbed,tender as could be, glazed ribs, a huge mound of pulled pork with a perfect vinegar and red pepper BBQ sauce to use as much or as little as you wish, FRESH vegggies - white asparagus and tri-colored carrots, garlic mashed potatoes (the only disappointment of the bunch) and a garlicky, vinegar coleslaw that was a crunchy counterpoint to the pulled pork. And all for only $16.95. The plate would have had a square of cornbread, but the gluten-issue prevented that in my case. The hubby enjoyed a basic bleu cheese burger with bacon - he's a simple guy, and fries. The only downside here was the thin patty wasn't cooked medium-rare as requested. That's difficult to do when the patty is thin....but it was big, (double wide?) don't get me wrong. There's an extensive selection of draft beers - many local craft ones - the hubster enjoyed fully! The service was friendly and efficient. The wait for food, as mentioned above, is slow...that's not a bad thing...that just gives you time to sit back, relax, make yourself at home and enjoy a drink or two and some good conversation. It's worth the wait....I'm just glad our wait is over and the Double Wide is our brand new and very welcome neighbor!

We have been here at least 20 times now and only go back for the beer selection. Bloody Mary's, Rueben Egg rolls and dog friendly patio are also a plus, but the food is bad, most of the staff is rude, service is slow.

Trying really hard to like you double wide really hard. The food is terrible. Absolutely terrible. They must have kids back there behind the grill because thats who usually runs it out when your at the bar. It's really expensive too. They have a great beer selection but extremely over priced. Honestly the only reason worth coming is on the 2 for 1 happy hour beers (5-7) Basically my advice is to just show up at 5 drink like a fish and then just get the hell out of there.

Well, I had the all-you-can-eat ribs. They were arguably some of the best ribs that I've had in a while. They were cooked well, but maybe too well along the edges. The sauce was tasty and really added to the taste. The french fries were average - nothing to write home about. The Death by Chocolate dessert was too much. One slice was about 3 inches tall and pure saturation. Although it was good, I can't see myself ordering it again. The atmosphere was unique, but didn't really stand out that much. Service is friendly and not overbearing. The food is good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.

Reasonably priced lunch, great back patio ... Had lunch here with a co-worker today and ordered off the vegetarian menu. The potato taco was delicious and a perfect lunch portion. My co-worker ordered the California salad but didn't really enjoy the dressing - the salad also came sans avocado even though the ingredient was mentioned in the menu description. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning. Service was great even though we were the only people dining outside. Usually, proximity to other customers weighs on the frequency of table visits but not in this case. I guess it also helped that the server was super attractive and personable. All in all, a great lunch experience. I will definitely be back.

My husband noted that this establishment had a ton of vegetarian food on the menu so we decided to stop by one Sunday night. The place was dead. About ten cars in the parking lot. They do not serve Pepsi or Coke here but they do make their own pop. Made of pure cane sugar. They had their own version of Mountain Dew and root beer too. The waitress noted that if we didn't like the cola that she would get us something different which was nice. The menu is quite large here. Vegetarian, vegan, and stuff for the meat lovers out there. I ordered the coconut tofu. Too bad when my order arrived 30 minutes later (the place was dead who knows why it took so long) the waitress brought out coconut fish instead. After fixing my meal and waiting another 20 minutes, I got to eat some of the most delicious tofu ever. Although there was a mixup in the kitchen my waitress ate the cost of the meal and we only paid for my husbands dinner. My only gripe about this place is the service. It is slow. We were told the seasonal veggie of the day was brussel sprouts and after ordering a double order we were instead served broccoli and the waitress said that they changed the veggie without her knowing.

My wife and I have eaten here many times and we love it! The food is delicious - especially the ribs which are super tasty. We also love the appetizers which are enough to fill us up. During Happy Hour from 5 - 7 on weekdays the drinks and appetizers are half price which is great. We try stop by at least once a week. And the service is great and prompt. Our favorite server is Julee who knows are wants and needs. She is always so attentive and helpful. Manager, Cari always stops by our table to check on things. We love this place and always recommend it to our friends. Try their new "muscles" appetizer - it is wonderful.

I am so torn about the Double Wide. On one hand, I'm desperate to love this place because they pride themselves on catering to vegetarians. It's close to my parents house so it's convenient to pop in for lunch when spending time in the suburbs. They also serve brunch and I've been told the beer selection is great (I don't drink beer, so this is not a factor for me). But the service...oh the service! It's always been downright awful. Slow to acknowledge you, slow to take your order, food so slow coming out you'd wish you packed a snack. And when it finally does arrive, who knows if it will even be correct! I, like some other reviewers, have found the food to be decent, but inconsistent. You never know what kind of mood the kitchen is in until your food is in front of you. I've found the service to be bad both in the dining room and in the bar area, regardless if it's a hopping Saturday night or a sleepy Tuesday mid afternoon. I wish the Double Wide would get it's act together. This had potential to be a decent spot.

We got off to a good start with Double Wide. But our experiences since then have been all downhill. Most recently, we ordered pulled pork sandwiches with fries. The sandwiches were cold and were sent back. When they returned, they were still cold. Even the fries were awful. How do you screw up fries? The manager offered to get us something else. But why bother? I will not miss DWG.

Very slow service on a not-so-busy night, so-so food. If it wasn't for the beer selection, we'd be at 1 star. The wife liked the bbq sauce on the wings but not the cajun seasoning. And she ordered bone-in and was served boneless. So she sent those back and waited while I ate my Coconut Chicken which was dry and had only a wee hint of coconut in the sauce. Of course, being drowned in onions, it was hard to taste much of anything. But oh, well. I'd go back on a nice Sunday afternoon when they have the garage doors up, and just drink beer at the bar. Their beer selection is hard to beat.

Stopped in today for a mid-afternoon lunch. Our server was helpful and seemed to know most of the menu fairly well. We went with the vegetarian Philly and the pulled pork sammach. The Philly was delicious, the lentil patty was cooked well but could have been a touch warmer. The hot cheese sauce helped bring up the temperature and the flavor. Yummy. My shoestring fries were piping hot and I suspect the rest of the food was made to wait for them to come out. The pork sammach and fries were only warm as well but the BBQ sauce was really excellent. **Even with the lower temperatures the food was really delicious. We are suspect on the deserts. The claim home made but the coconut cream pie had some freezer taste and unfortunately did not have a meringue top. The scoop of ice cream was really tasty though.

Not bad!?! Food was ok although it's not the type of resturant I'd go out of my way to eat there again. If your in the area and want some BBQ this is probably the place for you.

Second visit to the Double a Wide Mars location. After the first visit, my wife and I said we would never visit again. But I received a gift card and decided to get some take out for lunch for my family and I. Let me just say, if I ever get a gift card for this place again, I will be re-gifting it to my worst enemy. Absolutely terrible meal. We had a full rack of ribs, fries, cole slaw, corn bread and boneless wings. There is not one positive thing I can say about the food. It didn't even smell good. I should have realized that the food at this place was no good since it was empty at noon on a Saturday. My daughter said it best, "this is one of the worst meals I have ever had" and she loves ribs. How can this place mess up one of its signature dishes. Very disappointed. Just glad I didn't have to pay for it.

My 4 yr old and I stopped here after a doctors appt.. My son ordered pizza ( because you can only get pancakes on Saturday and Sunday ). I ordered their feta beets salad with chicken. And we both ordered soda. My salad was missing the oranges that were suppose to be on it ( my favorite part), and the ranch dressing was the se consistency of milk not ranch . Then the bill came and my lunch with my toddler cost me 25.00$. Are you kidding that's crazy. Also the kids meal only comes with ice cream or cookie on Saturday and Sunday . I will say our waiter was very nice and prompt ( so of course I left a tip ). So really my lunch cost 30$ . If in cranberry twp. Go somewhere else tons of restaurants in that area and of course I pick the worst . I will never be back even on a Saturday or Sunday which seems to be the only time kids get a real kids meal. Only reason I gave it one star was because our waiter was nice.

I ate here the other day with 2 coworkers for lunch. The feel of this place is much the one on the South Side with the vintage gas station and old cars type of motif. For my lunch entree I decided on having the BBQ Pulled Seitan with a side of fresh cut fries. The fries came out hot and were both crispy and seasoned nicely. My sandwich had a ton of BBQ sauce on it which made it somewhat messy to eat but it still tasted very good. The sauce had a ton of sweetness up front with a little bit of spice at the tail end. The seitan had a great consistency to it and since it was smothered in the BBQ sauce, ended up tasting like it. Neither of my co-workers had ever tried seitan before and both were surprised by the meaty taste of it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again. They had a long list of interesting lunch items including many different vegetarian items which I look forward to trying in the future.

Had read some of the reviews and was a little reluctant to give it a try. Went with a party of 7 on a Saturday evening. Waited about 15 minutes to get a table. They have a great beer menu, My wife and I ordered the Build your own TV dinner. We both got the ribs, salad and 3 sides for $16.99. Our daughter got a grilled chicken wrap and fries. We were all pleased with the quality and taste of the food. The ribs were excellent. Also liked the atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

Just ate here for lunch. This place is modeled after an old gas station. The food is on par with what you would expect from a modern gas station. Here is the description of what I ordered AVOCADO CLUB (Vegan) Thick sliced avocado, sweet tarragon mustard sauce, jalapenos, cucumber, lettuce, tomato and onion between sliced vegan multigrain bread What I received. Thin slices of avocado, some kind of neon yellow (honey?) mustard Fist full of bagged Iceberg lettuce and shredded carrots, 3 overly hot dried up jalapenos, whole and halved grape tomatoes Two tiny slices of stale bread that might have tasted good at one point. No cucumbers, No onion I choose green beans as the side. Didn't touch them. They were glistening with oil and were laying in a puddle of something yellow and oily. Might have been butter on my "vegan" green beans. My total before tip was almost $9.50... $9.50 for 1/5th of an avocado, stale bread and a fist full of bagged iceberg "salad" The hipsters and kids can have this place. They'll fit in with the emo, tattoo covered staff. Never again. Only good part was our waitress. She was handling multiple tables while everyone else stood around looking like they might cry.

The food here is really good and the service is also. The bar staff knows their drinks and is friendly, the wait staff can be hit or miss but you can get that anywhere. They hold lots of community events and have a wonderful happy hour along with some of the best burghers I've ever had.

I liked the vegetarian options. The waitstaff was exceptionally friendly and the service was quick and responsive. It's a nice clean place with good food. Not too loud and the trailer theme was interesting. Reminded me of shady grove in Austin.

Nice place for dinner. Excellent selection of beers! Started with nachos and they were wonderful. Chicken, black beans, cheese, jalapeños and great cheese sauce for dipping. I had the git er done combo barbecue platter. Brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Both Carolina and Memphis barbecue sauces were spot on. Corn bread was some of the best around. Service was quick and efficient. Desserts were good as well. Peanut butter pie! We will be back for sure!

Had an appetizer that was basically three hot pockets warmed up and served on a piece of lettuce...I know it's a bar but I could've made a better presentation with a toothpick and a box of Legos. Service also sucked. Food was cold. Not a good pick

Been here a few times since it opened for lunch,1 time after a pens game for drinks. Had a chicken burrito that was so dry it needed ranch dressing to get it down,BBQ was tasteless and the help is not much better. After a Pens game we stopped and got a drink and the bartender was a ass, only was worried about his buddies and the waitresses that where off duty getting there free drinks. Bar tender was even was have a few shots also on duty. After that I will never be back.

Double wide is a bit of a conundrum for me. Just by the name you assume affordable yet compared to other similar things I the area, it is definitely higher priced. I think they took their downtown pricing and didn't change or adjust it all. That being said, the place is very cool inside. Great atmosphere and with me being a big fan of trying different beers, I was happy to see 36 options on draft. The beer is overpriced. Plain and simple. 6 bucks for a pint is way too much when your name is double wide grill. We have been twice. The first time I got the BBQ burger. It is awesome. The second time I got the tilapia tacos. It is not awesome. They were land, messy, had very poor presentation just flopped on a plate and the lug nuts were hard. We will go back as we live close but we may wait a while. Certainly to a bargain neighborhood place like I was counting on when I saw it going in.

Really enjoy the Southside location, but this one has really bad service. It's not always easy to find good vegan/vegetarian options, but when no one greets you at the door, it's dead but yet still it takes 10 minutes for someone to appear and seat us with the most annoyed expression, then had a waitress who was very sweet but not very attentive at all...not worth going back.

Thursday night @ 5:30 we were able to get seated right away, interesting atmosphere - I could see where it could be quite loud if the place was packed. Was impressed to see all the Vegetarian choices. Appetizer: Grilled Vegetables - nice assortment. We should have left after these! (Although one sweet potato was HARD as rock, how does that happen?) 2 Beef Brisket Platters - (they had a sandwich choice as well, it was cheaper and came with same items?!?) About 3-4oz of brisket. Tried one of each kind of slaw - both tasted identical - DRY! 1 Tortilla salad, it was small with small piece of chicken, value was quite poor for $10.+ The person who ordered this is vomiting today, seriously! 1 Grilled Veggie and Brie Salad, again small and unimpressive. 1 Tilapia Tacos - one word - DON'T! No flavor and the sauce stains EVERYTHING. We informed the waitress, she was nice. When we told her that the overall presentation from the kitchen was sloppy at best and the cornbread portions were way off, (2 got slight little corners, 1 person got a whole piece and one got 2 pieces) she apologized and said the wait staff had previously informed the kitchen of the sloppiness. We didn't have the option of dessert as our check was just dumped before we were done. I used the ladies room prior to leaving and it was a disgrace. That's when I decided to ask for the manager. After much looking - the host found a manager on the floor, waiting tables. I waited for some time, I ended up approaching him and asked how he thought he could be efficient running the restaurant if he was serving. He got a bit defensive - something about he's from California and this is Pittsburgh and he's stuck doing every job. I told him the experience was less than positive as was the quality of the food, the sloppiness, staining of everything from the tacos and the ladies room. He excused themselves by stating that they were only 3 weeks old and they're working out the kinks. He even offered to wait on us the next time. (it'll be a while before there's a next time Nick, sorry!) $120 bucks later, we too left hungry and popped on over to DQ for dessert - it was lovely! No BS and no excuses. P.S. Nick - the handi-wipes don't remove the tumeric stains from the tacos either. BTW, apparently the GM was cooking the mess we got. Gospel according to Nick.

Very much a fan of the South Side location so imagine my disappointment when I ate lunch here and it was bad. I blame the chef. The beef brisket was prepared wrong and served even worse. They chopped it up! Ugh... And the lug nuts where overdone and greasy. I took a group of us there and we were sick afterwards. I was so embarrassed and upset that I called the SS location. The manager of Mars did call me back and ask for my opinions, so I am willing to give them another shot....maybe. I really prefer the city.

Great beer selection and fun to drink at but that's where it stops. I have been there several times for food and they have been out of something. BBQ is what the are known for and I'd rather eat Smokey Bones. Tired a burger and meh. Lug Nuts are truly disgusting, taste like deep friend garlic. BARF. Flies all over the corner table near the large curved window in the front. They have a long way to go to get this place to be anymore than 2 stars.

Seven Fields welcomes its newest resident: Double Wide Grill. This location was built from the ground up over the past few months, so we've been looking forward to trying them out. This is their first week being open, so naturally you'll find it to be rather busy. All of the parking spaces were taken in their parking lot so we had to park in the adjacent lot in Adams Shoppes. They did well getting us a seat in reasonable time. There was no need to wait in the restaurant as they offered to call us when our table was ready. Atmosphere: Very casual. That's probably the most unnecessary statement ever considering that it's called the Double Wide Grill. Still it was much noisier than I had hoped it would be. It was difficult to carry on a conversation, which took away from the experience. You could tell there was music playing somewhere around the bar, but all I heard was shouting. There is a patio with extra seating that faces to the west so you could catch a nice sunset on the right day if you time it well. Cajun Dry Rub Wings: Great flavor on the wings, but some of them had very little meat on the bones. Maybe the blame here lies with the chickens more than the restaurant. I won't hold it against them this time. BBQ Pulled Porky: Pulled pork sandwich served on a "toasted buttered onion roll." Seemed to me it could have been a bit more toasted. The flavor of the sandwich was good, but didn't wow me. The pulled pork was dry, but was served with a side of sauce. I guess this allowed the bun to stay dry until it was served - at least that's what I assume. The sandwich itself was small for the price. For my side I chose the garlic vinegar slaw and the first word that came to mind again was "dry." Hot and Sweet Pineapple Chicken: My wife had this but I stole a sample. This had a good flavor - the pineapple and jalapeños blended well giving it a flavorful kick. The side of green beans tasted fresh, but the mashed potatoes were dry. (this seemed to be a theme) We chose not to get dessert. According to our server nothing is made in house, and at $5.99 for a slice of chocolate cake the price seemed high. As our dinner portions were smaller than expected, we were left hungry. Overall our bill with tip came to over $40 for the two of us. For the same price we could have gone to Ichiban and had much more food. I think we'll give them another try down the road, but in the future I'll probably just stick to basics like wings and a burger.

Since I don't eat meat, I was so happy that the new double wide was opening up right next to my work. I've gone to the southside location for years and knew I would be able to get tofu and seitan and pumped about it! The problem though, and I think this is a problem with the southside location too, is that they're inconsistent. One day you'll have something really good and the next day you order the same thing and it'll have gross brown avocado and just be crappy. I also seriously wish they used something other than white iceberg lettuce in salads...it might as well just not be on the plate. That being said, it is the best option for lunch by work so we go pretty often...you just have to find the things on the menu that are good and stick to those. The seitan wings are pretty delicious!

Was excited to finally go here because of the breadth of the menu and their gluten free selection. Went with a party of 5 and i'll just say that each and every aspect of our meals was pretty blah. I was not impressed with my meal, and my drink was super watered down. Will not be returning here, save your money.

The food was average. The waitress said they were known for their BBQ, but I've heard that quite a few times at different places and it usually means nothing. The BBQ was tasty, but nothing out of this world. The pulled pork was decent and they gave me a lot of it. They gave me two sauces for my BBQ, which were both really good. They had a slight spice to them, but nothing overpowering. I felt that the sauce should have been applied to the ribs in the kitchen, as I only got a little cup of the BBQ sauce with my meal. Next time I will ask for a double portion of the sauce. The atmosphere was very much the same as Quaker Steak and Lube. Even the food selection and menu style. I would go back, but it would on a night that I was looking for a place to eat such as Applebee's, Chilies, or something on that level. Definitely not fine dining.

Can you give someone a negative star rating?? Met a friend for dinner yesterday and had HORRIBLE service and food. I ordered a Bloody Mary that was very watered down, bland in taste even though I ordered it with Pepper Vodka. Personally, I doubt that there was any vodka in the drink. I had to ask for more horseradish to hopefully make it taste better. Instead of making a new drink, they attempted to doctor up the original one. Needless to say, I ordered only one drink and didn't even come close to finishing that one. My dining partner stated that the Marguaritas were also very weak. We ordered a grilled veggie plate to start, however, I did not have a fork, asked for one twice and when it finally arrived, my dining partner had completed over half of the veggies. The server then muttered under her breath as she walked away, as it I were asking for something special. Veggie platter was ok except that the sweet potato slices were very dry, leathery in texture. Of course, I didn't get to taste anything on that plate hot or even warm by the time my fork arrived at the table. We both ordered burgers, mine was ordered medium rare, arrived well-done. After the meal, service didn't improve, with the server initially not offering us dessert, failure to provide the same services as were offered to those around us. All in all, you won't see me there ever again . . .

we needed a venue to host a small, early dinner for one of our nurses who was retiring. after calling a number of places (all telling me they would NOT accept reservations for a friday at 4:00 PM-in addition to telling me we had to have a buffet-EW!)-someone suggested the Double Wide in Cranberry. andrew was wonderful to work with and the service and food were very good. we all had a great time and are so happy to have stumbled onto the Double Wide. the menu had something to offer even the pickiest of our group, ME :-) i will return when i am in that neck of the woods. thank you!

I will explain why Double Wide lost my service. I went there for brunch with some friends and we decided to split the check with our debit cards. Our waiter, Theo, comes back and tells me my card has been declined. I checked my account on my phone and see that Double Wide charged me the whole entire bill and the reason my card was declined was because I had no more money left! I inform Theo of this, who tells me that he did charge me the bill but then voided it. How nice of him to NOT tell me what he was doing with my card. A day later, I still have that transaction on hold in my account. I will never go back and a heads up to others, do not use your card there.

I couldn't wait for the Double Wide to open because this type of bar is exactly what our area sorely needed. Judging by the packed parking lot every single day since their opening in May, many others felt the same. The menu has pretty good bar fare & the beer selection is plentiful. I really wish this place was worthy of drawing me in every week, which is what happened at first but has faded to about once a month trips. The wait times and service have been less than stellar. We've had great service a couple of times and some servers we couldn't find again when we got a table. The best way to guarantee no wait & good service is to sit at the bar although it still often takes too long to see your food. There is no real happy hour ($1 off a beer doesn't cut it) but the selections of IPAs & brown ales keep my hubby & me pretty happy. The brisket sandwich is delicious and full of nice barbeque flavor, the burgers have plentiful selections and you can choose to order beef, chicken, or turkey with any option, vegetarian choices abound which made other members of our family happy. I've also had the fish tacos and they were nice & light because the fish was broiled and the sauce didn't feel calorie laden. The food overall has been good, not great and the experience has been likewise. Hopefully both of those kinks can be ironed out over the next couple of months because I'm really hopeful for a great bar this close to my house.

My husband, kids and in-laws visited this place for the first time today at 1:30 for lunch. I was a little leery since there were not a lot of other cars in the parking lot during the peak hours of lunch. The inside is neat and they have a great patio, which was where we sat. Our food was great, our service was great. Food came out quickly and everything was fresh and delicious. My husband and I had the steak burrito with guacamole and we were shocked at the excellent quality of steak (and amount of it) that went into it. Father in-law had the Reuben and MIL had nachos that she added chicken to. Like I said, all of our food was incredibly fresh and well out together. Also, they have excellent sweet potato fries!! I'm shocked to see that this place had only 2.5 stars. They had a big menu with lots of things that I thought looked good, great prices and a surprisingly big vegan and vegetarian selection (which doesn't really apply to us, but was still neat to see). All in all, we had an excellent time and excellent lunch. We will definitely be back again.

A generous 2 stars only because the wings were very good. The rest of our meal was awful. Roasted vegetable and Brie salad was horrific. Cold bits of veggies with big chucks of cold Brie. Where is the "roasted" part? Expecting some warm fresh veggies on a crisp bed of lettuce maybe with some warmed Brie. Nope. Chicken sandwich was white shoe leather with rice that allegedly had cilantro and caramelized onions. Both absent. Don't bother - this place is not even worth stopping for a beer. Half the IPA's listed on the tap menu were not available. Sloppy tap list management = what else is sloppy? Stay away.

Just ate at Double Wide Grill in Adams TWP. Cool theme. Atmosphere was good and about what you would expect from a place called Double Wide Grill. Reminded me a lot of Quaker Steak & Lube except without the Wings. The service was a little slow. We probably waited a good 10-12 minutes before our waiter ever came over. The food was pretty good but not great. I had pork ribs which were good but not the best ever. Drinks were pricy. My wife had something called a strawberry cheesecake and the damn thing was $8.50 and came in a small juice glass. My beer was nearly $6. For three of us the tab was over $70 which I felt was way more pricy than it should have been for this type of restaurant. Only give it three stars.

Last night the boyfriend and I went to the Double Wide for a late-ish dinner, I hadn't eaten since breakfast, and was very hungry Told boyfriend I would buy- and he is a fan of craft beers, and they have a great selection, so we settled on dining there. Greeted by a sour hostess, she looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. It was a Wed. night, and not too many people were there. Service was still slow, however. It took our server almost 10 minutes before he took our drink order. They were out of brisket...which I almost expected. I have gone to the South Side location a few times, and each time they were out. (Even for lunch!) I settled on Coconut chicken and the boyfriend got chorizo. The chicken arrived smothered in peppers and onions and tasted like there was some sort of sugar sauce on the tough rubbery breast. There was not even a hint of coconut flavor anywhere, so I thought maybe I had gotten the wrong order. No, it was right. It was horrid. There was no way I could have stomached that. The rice looked like it had been left out too long, dry, hard and at the end of it's life. The server, who came by after another 10 minutes, clearly wasn't going to check on us so I flagged him down. I said this was not what I was expecting, I expected some coconut flavor and there was none...not even a trace.. so he took it back, and was gracious about it. No problem. Boyfriend had no complaints with his, but it was simply grilled chorizo, and you cant really mess that up. I got a BBQ burger done medium, and it arrived pretty much on the med-rare side It was pretty raw in the middle.I believe it was the manager that delivered it, and he made no comment or apology for the chicken. The lighting is pretty dim in there, but it was definitely med rare. Since the server wasn't around again for a while, I let the boyfriend eat most of it. The drinks are definitely pricey. Great selection, (at least on the menu) if you like beer, but you pay for it. Anyway, I will not go back. Too expensive, crappy service and less than average food. Too many factors put this restaurant in the "I can live without this place" category. Wish we would have went somewhere else.

Not bad!?! Food was ok although it's not the type of resturant I'd go out of my way to eat there again. If your in the area and want some BBQ this is probably the place for you.

All in all, you won't see me there ever again . . .

Stay away.

Only give it three stars.

we needed a venue to host a small, early dinner for one of our nurses who was retiring. after calling a number of places (all telling me they would NOT accept reservations for a friday at 4:00 PM-in addition to telling me we had to have a buffet-EW!)-someone suggested the Double Wide in Cranberry. andrew was wonderful to work with and the service and food were very good. we all had a great time and are so happy to have stumbled onto the Double Wide. the menu had something to offer even the pickiest of our group, ME :-) i will return when i am in that neck of the woods. thank you!

We have been here at least 20 times now and only go back for the beer selection. Bloody Mary's, Rueben Egg rolls and dog friendly patio are also a plus, but the food is bad, most of the staff is rude, service is slow.

We were really excited to find multiple vegan options at this place in Cranberry! The wings were especially delicious. Service was good and I liked the beer options!

The food here is really good and the service is also. The bar staff knows their drinks and is friendly, the wait staff can be hit or miss but you can get that anywhere. They hold lots of community events and have a wonderful happy hour along with some of the best burghers I've ever had.

Great atmosphere, and good selection of beers, bourbons, and mixed drinks. Live entertainment on Saturday nights, at least the night we were there. Great place to watch a sporting event

I liked the vegetarian options. The waitstaff was exceptionally friendly and the service was quick and responsive. It's a nice clean place with good food. Not too loud and the trailer theme was interesting. Reminded me of shady grove in Austin.
