I went there for the first time yesterday. I didn't sit in the rest. side, only the bar side. The bartender was very sweet and the capt and cokes are only $3.75. There were football games on the tv's and nascar, and the special was Mussels for $1.75. We ordered them expecting not so much do to the price, but they were EXCELLENT!!!!! I'll def be going back there. I saw the menu and yes the food seems a little pricey, but if it's worth it to find something clever and unusual to eat, I'm in!!!

my wife and i had a wonderful experience. we came not knowing what to expect. we went in the bar entrance and quickly realized that we were not in the dining part of the inn. we went back out and found the front door, which i don't think you are really suppose to use but we got in and got a table. we sat on the sun porch. it was very bright and warm for a mid april day. our waiter was great! we felt very welcomed and he did a great job throughout the meal. the prices are on the high side but you really do get good portions. we weren't in the mood for a huge meal so we ordered three different appetizers and dessert. we tried their wings, crab dip, and fresh made deep fried mozzarella. they also brought out some rolls with their house made black raspberry chocolate butter. the wings were very good. they made their own blue cheese but i didn't really care for it. the flavor reminded me of tarter sauce. the crab dip was outstanding. there was a large pile of crab meat setting right on top of the dip. the rolls that came with it were soft and warm and very but i don't remember if they said they made them fresh. the mozzarella was probably the thing we enjoyed the most. you can't beat fresh made mozzarella. when it came time for dessert they brought the ones they had available to the table. once they informed us that they made them all in house we were sold. my wife got the creme brulee and i had the peanut butter pie. both were out of this world. at one point during the night one of the owners came to our table to greet us and talk to us. she was very pleasant and friendly. while enjoying our dinner we suddenly heard some singing over to our left. the owners were singing to someone for their birthday. it was so light hearted and fun. it really made the past feel homey and like everyone knew one another. we will keep this place in our mind for our next special night

Went here for the first time last Sunday for an early dinner. We were one of three tables in the dining area. I appreciated how quiet it was and how nicely spaced out the tables were. I hate when I feel like other diners are sitting right on top of you. The menu was great, lots to choose from. My husband got a steak and I did a burger. Both were perfectly done and we got them with fries which were delicious! The wait staff was friendly and quick with drinks and refills. They weren't overwhelming with questions and pushiness. There was music playing lightly, it was a nice touch and the right volume. It was also a great playlist or whatever it was... Classic rock! We will definitely return and look forward to trying more off of the menu!

Brought my wife here for her birthday. We were seated immediately but then sat for close to 10 minutes before we're greeted by our server. The place was somewhat louder than I expected, but the environment was friendly and cheerful. My wife ordered the Steak and Voodoo shrimp I order the seafood platter. The steak was done well, and the voodoo shrimp was very good. The seafood platter did not impress unfortunately. The scallops were broiled, but we're a pale white with virtually no flavor. The fish was slightly overcooked but flavor was good. The lobster still had the blood vein running down the back, which is unacceptable in any seafood dish. The one redeeming item was the crab cake, which was large, fresh and had excellent flavor. Overall, would probably come back, but would avoid the seafood selections.

I heartedly recommend this place for the atmosphere. Get away from the hustle and bustle and head up North George Street. Keep going past downtown Manchester until you pass a bridge and it will be there on the side of the road with a bright sign. You can't miss it. Great bloody mary. Excellent menu but a bit pricey so if you on a date, add a few bills to your wallet. I want to go back for the brunch though. Will let you know how that goes.

Four of us went for dinner on a Saturday evening. Everyone was really happy with their food except for some cold potatoes. Was getting really busy when we left around 8PM. Been a few years since I was there last, only downside is its on the other side of the county.

Another one of these places that should advertise more for its own good. I know there are many people between Harrisburg and York who have no idea about this gem, lying along Route 181 about two miles north of Manchester. Outstanding Sunday buffet with two rooms full of food when we went there. Always-changing menu. The requisite omelet chef. Won't break the bank ($19.95). It's worth coming here just to sample the Cream of Crab & Asparagus Soup, made with sherry. Unbelievable. Plenty of great seafood, chicken and steak options. Definitely above average.

Had lunch here today for the second time within a month. The place is sprawling. First time was in the bar, which was a little smokey but not too bad. Second time in a different area where there was a fireplace. The atmosphere was nice for a large group for lunch and the fireplace warmed us up on a cold afternoon. Service was perfect. I ordered the soup of the day both times, and I'm sorry to say, they both tasted like the same base was used to prepare them and they couldn't have been more different! The first was a ham, bean and pumpkin and the second time a seafood gumbo, which was not at all what I expected. Both were kind of glumpy like too much thickner was added to the broth. The oyster sandwich I ordered the first time was good and served on a hearty bread. I had the Turkey Pannini today, which was huge and could have been shared with another. Once opened up, the insides revealed a thin layer of lunchmeat turkey breast with cheese, bacon and tomato served on Ciabatta and was okay. Both times I ordered the handcut fries, which were good but not hot enough. Personally I think the prices were in line with what to expect for lunch.

Took my wife and son for brunch on Sunday 9/28. We all liked it. Nice selection of food. Custom made omelets to prime rib. Got there at 11am and filled up for the day. Food was fresh and tasty. We will be back.

Tried this place out last night and was pleasantly surprised. There was a nice ambiance with the enclosed patio seating and candles. Wine was reasonably priced and the menu had a lot to choose from. They had a lobster florentine filet special that night and it was amazing. Worth every penny the $26 price. I'm definitely going to have to try that recipe myself.

I'll keep it short. Best in York hands down as far as seafood goes. Some have complained about prices but come on. You want the best you'll have to pay for it. Love this place. All you can eat wings and tacos on certain nights as well on bar side.

Would recommend this place with only one side note...food is excellent, price isn't. Searched and searched for their menu online and after finally locating it I place a to go order. Ordered a Cobb salad, chicken phoenix, and steak and shrimp wasabi. Like I said, good was excellent. Mine came with the veggy of the day which was Asian green beans, very good! The dinning area is small so I'm glad we went with take out. Info on this place says attire is casual, but when I went to pick up my order I noticed everyone was dressed up. Got some looks when came in there wearing jeans, lol! The only reason I won't give this place 5 stars is due to prices. Quality and quantity are good here, but lets get real...this is located in the middle of nowhere, the demand for this place doesn't meet the prices charged.
