Outstanding food. Great Service. Only been here 1 time but thoroughly impressed. Had the Turkey/Pesto Paninni and the Tomato Basil soup. Food came quick and hot. I tried to resist dessert but caved and tried their Lemon Bar... just great stuff. Going back to try their breakfast in the AM. 2 for 2. Just finished my breakfast of Chicken/Fennel sausage and Butternut Squash Hash with 2 Eggs Up and it was outstanding. My previous grade of 4 is now a perfect 5 stars. I believe this is the beginning of an American Love story. Lol! Seriously though if your nearby stop in you will not be disappointed.

Tomato Pie Cafe had the worst service we've ever experienced in the 'coolest small town in America'. We were the only people inside the cafe when we ordered ONE cafe mocha. (There were people sitting outside on the patio--maybe 6 tables?) 5-8 mins later we ordered our meals. We were over halfway through with our meal when the coffee was brought out....Exactly 1/2 hour after placing the order! And on top of that.....NO APOLOGIES WHATSOEVER!!!!!! Not from the young man who prepared it and delivered it OR from our waitress!!! Even though the food was good it's going to be a VERY LONG time until we go back!!!!! We're so disappointed!!!!!

The hubs and I came to check out the Tomato Pie Cafe for an early breakfast while we were in the area. Owned by the Fisher Family, the menu offers breakfast plates/sandwiches, salads, lunch/dinner platters, specials of the month, as well as beverages (coffees, lattes, soda, milk shakes, smoothies, teas, etc.). I started off with a cup of their Maple Spice Latte, made with cream (comes in 2 sizes) - this was absolutely delicious! A great balance of the maple spice flavor infused within, even with a latte art on top. It comes in a generous mug and it was a great hot beverage to start off in the morning. For my entree, I had their Tomato Pie (this came with a slice of their warm signature pie, served with your choice of rosemary potatoes, Parmesan grit cake, or fresh fruit). I opted for the Parmesan grit cake; the pie reminded me slightly of a quiche, but no egg involved - it contained shredded cheese with a heavenly crust on top. I'm wondering if the cheese should have been melted more or if it was going for the 'fresh tomato filling' type of a thing; either way, it was an interesting take on pie, but still a delicious slice (I probably would request it to be warmed a bit longer). The Parmesan grit cake was a little underwhelming, as it didn't taste like cheese, but it was cooked well. There was a small amount of fresh diced fruit (watermelon and cantaloupe). The hubs had their Maple & Spice French Toast, which were slices of brioche bread, dipped in their maple and spice batter. This came with a side of cinnamon honey butter (a cup of their pure maple syrup is at an additional charge, so keep that in mind)! This was pretty tasty with the maple and the spice concoction, and both the hubs and I thought it was one of the best french toast we've had in a restaurant! :D Our server was Mandi N., and she was attentive and pretty efficient. Wonderful food! Tomato pie and salmon artichoke panini were delish! Slight problem with service until they discovered we hadn't been waited on. The server definite made up for it by getting our food to us quickly though.

Judging by the rest of the reviews and the number of people dining here, I'm convinced my visit today was a fluke. The visit started with a 5 minute wait that was closer to 30. We were sat outside rather than our indoor preference. The other hostess gave us a bit of attitude as well. The other negatives were that our drinks took awhile to come out. One of the guests didn't get a coffee until after entrees came out. Water cups smelled like bleach. Again server had a bit of attitude. I figured they may just have not been used to the volume of customers this Saturday morning. I had an egg shell in the first bite of my tomato pie omelette but I looked beyond that and the rest of the potatoes and sourdough toast was good. I really wanted to like TPC but today was just not their day. I recommend the tomato pie. I'd definitely try it again.

Beautiful patio, great friendly service, and the signature tomato pie was delicious! A lovely lunch! Planning to return to sample salads and sandwiches, the menu looks wonderful.

This is a popular spot for lunch. We felt the service was good and the food was good as well. My main criticism is on my chicken curry sandwich the croissant seemed really dense and a little dry. I prefer croissants to me buttery and fluffy. The chicken salad was a little bland and could have used more seasoning. However my sisters salmon and artichoke panini was great, as was the tomato bisque soup my mom had. She said several times it tastes amazingly fresh. We would come back again to try more of their pressed sandwiches which seems to be their forte. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy and very welcoming. Parking is limited though so you may have to park a block or two down the road.

Excellent food and service. Had the Grilled Peach Arugula Salad, was heavenly. Tomato Bisque with the Herbed Scone. Incredible place I come back again and again.

Just Loved this Cafe! The food was awesome, and the service was great! If your in Lititz for the day give this place a try!!!

Very nice. We arrived relatively early (11:30) were seated promptly, and we're enjoying our food within 10 minutes. The salads were the best. I had a chicken curry and my wife a pear gorganzaga delight. The sandwiches were good, but not great. The ham and Brie was particularly 'ehh' with the bread overwhelming the meat and cheese. The menu was superb and we're hoping to explore more of it.

I would probably give 3.5 stars if I could but I'll round up to 4. We had a nice lunch today, though we did have to wait 25 solid minutes before a seat was available. Lunch was nice, but the mutual opinion was that it is a little kitschy. I had a November special, the stuffed acorn squash. It was good, though (and I don't usually say this kind of thing) it would have been better with some sausage in it. Hubby had the spinach, artichoke tomato pie which was nice, but probably not the best we've ever had. Kiddo had a pb&j on rainbow bread and a nice side of fresh fruit Overall it is a good lunch spot, though I don't know if it was worth the nearly 30 min wait. It is super tight in there too. Overall not a bad spot, just be forewarned and I find that always makes it more enjoyable.

This place easily earned 5-stars! The food is delicious and absolutely wonderful! I decided to be adventurous and order the Smoked Salmon Benedict. It was egg, smoked salmon, arugula & tomato on a Parmesan grit cake & topped with mornay sauce and pumpernickel toast! O-M-G it was amazing! I doubted any breakfast could be better until I had a few bites of the Tomato Pie!!! Best breakfast/tomato pie hands down. The Spiced Pumpkin Latte didn't disappoint either! We were seated upstairs and it was so quaint. Yet the menu had a real urban feel. I loved it. The service was great and the servers had real cool style. We plan on coming back on our next trip to Lancaster and probably every trip to Lancaster until the end of time. Yes, it's that good!

The Tomato Pie Cafe is among of the top MUST SEE attractions in Lititz. Its a snazzy little cafe with sharply dress staff, a captivating menu and a killer signature dish of Tomato Pie. If you haven't tried it do, and if you don't like tomatoes just order something else instead. Its all good. I love everything about this place. The location; just outside of Lititz Spring park, making it a perfect pit stop while you're out enjoying the weather. The atmosphere; bubbly staff and cozy seating arrangements. Not to mention the fabulous outdoor seating area where you are surrounded by the tomato plants they turn into pies. The menu is vast and never displeasing. There are always new drinks to try including hot teas, iced teas, coffee blends, and my personal favorite: Hot Caramel Apple Cider! A fall favorite. My only complaint is that they do not sell whole pies to go. Nevertheless I now make my own, but I still come back and order theirs. Bottom line: EAT HERE!

What an amazing gem to find! We stopped briefly in Lititz for Wilbur's chocolates and popped across the street for a snack, discovered patio seating out back and had a spectacularly lovely meal! We started with watermelon and serrano soup and then I had grilled peaches on arugula salad with goat cheese and peach pie for dessert. Wonderful staff and location on a beautiful day. The child's grilled cheese sandwich my friend's daughter enjoyed was made with very colorful bread! Fun place and a delightful visit. We will be back.

I'm very glad that we stopped here on our short trip to Lititz. For food, order the namesake tomato pie. It's both savory and sweet, with a perfectly textured crust that provides a buttery balance to the tomato. I suggest that you also order the greens as a side instead of the chips, as you'll be able to sprinkle some of the table's lemon vinaigrette on them. This dressing is a combination of smooth and tart, and very refreshing for a hot day. I also tried some of my friends' dishes, and out of those, I recommend the grilled cheese and the blueberry mint smoothie if it is being served that day. The ambience is very cute, which matches the neighborhood that it's located in. You can budget some time before or after the meal to walk around and explore some of the small shops that are within walking distance. To that end, when using the street-metered parking, I would add a few extra coins to account for any extra meandering.

The Tomato Pie Cafe has 4.5 Yelp stars with good reason. They offer something for everyone, the menu changes regularly and the food (and beverage) is delicious. They are located in a big historic, cozy, inn-type space, at the center of town; easy to find with lots of parking nearby. I did something I never do; I started with a shot of espresso :::yowsah::: it was good, and just about knocked me off my chair. The caramel cider is amazing too. (-: For lunch, I had the pumpkin hummus platter, and my friend had the autumn squash dish, both were excellent.

Had the most pleasant experience dining here last night. The atmosphere is so lively and the servers were very pleasant. My mocha was served warm and our waitress quickly had them remake it. Came out 2 min later with a new mocha. I enjoyed 1/2 pesto turkey with a cup of tomato soup. Soup was very hot and paired well why my sandwich. My grandma sent her infamous tomato pie back to be reheated and the cook insisted on giving her a fresh hot slice instead. Overall a wonderfully experience and love coming here be it a cold snowy day or in the summer when it's hot and sunny!wonderful food.

The signature tomato pie is awesome. I was very full with the double serving. I'd also reccomend the herb lemonade - very tasty and unique. Friendly service and affordable pricing. Knocks it out of the park!

Not much selection in Lancaster county especially outside the city... This is a nice find with great food and comfortable atmosphere. There isn't a ton to choose from but I almost always end up getting their tomato bisque and a artisan style grilled cheese. Not even a huge grilled cheese fan but the two are just awesome! I'm not sure it's on the menu but it should be! Also their bakery items are awesome too!

What a great find!! We came across this treasure on our food tour of the area (Sturgis Pretzels and Wilbur Chocolate Co. - both also must-see places). It's small but very friendly. The food is excellent - I had the chilled tomato- avocado soup - amazing!! I highly recommend stopping here if you are anywhere in the area.

Normally I would not eat anything in someone else's pie crust because I am always disappointed. As far as I'm concerned I make to best pie crust...been doing it for thirty years, but this crust was right on! Three outta four snaps for this one. Most of the time it's store bought, but not here. Stop in and try the tomato pie very, very good.

Great place to stop for lunch or a good cup of coffee. Beware they have lots of hipsters wearing fedoras working here!!! So if you can look past that and enjoy some great food you have a good time! My husband hates tomatoes and loved the tomato pie!

  • Amanda C.

This is our favorite breakfast spot. Fun pastries, delicious entrees and they use local ingredients when they can! Their hot chocolate can't be beat. Call ahead, if it's a busy time of day or the weekend!

Absolutely love the food at Tomato Pie. Definitely one of my favorite cafes in central PA. I had the pear and bleu salad and the ham and Brie panini and just loved it. Simple, organic, delicious food to be enjoyed in a unique and comfortable atmosphere. I've dined at Tomato Pie four times and each time I've been seated a different location of the cafe, but each section has been very pleasant. I've tried the classic inside seating, the outside seating under a patio umbrella, the upstairs bed/breakfast style seating, and the terrace seating with a view of the park. I love the location and always eat here if I'm in the Lititz area. I love their baked oatmeal for breakfast, as well as their paninis and salads for lunch. Their seasonal drinks have been very good. I always get their herb lemonade or whatever tea they are featuring. The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did have one experience where a quick 5 minute wait turned into a 30 minute wait. Another tiny complaint is their room temperature water just tastes a little funny, but other than that. I love everything from the location to the atmosphere to the menu. Definitely worth a stop, and maybe a nice walk through the park to top off the Lititz experience.

The eggs are awesome. I love the fresh fruit. Me and my group all got the same thing. I would recommend it for breakfast. The lattes are great. It wasnt a long wait.

I love this place! I always order the tomato pie, it is wonderful. We live in California and only get to Lititz occasionally to visit family, but we always make it a point to eat here. They briefly ran out of their regular tomato pie one night, so I had the gluten free version and it was still just as good! The kids grilled cheese is great and comes on rainbow bread, which my daughter thought was hilarious!

I was biking through Southeast PA last summer, and before the trip with my friend, I stumbled across this place on Yelp. This cafe was so hyped, I insisted this was to be our lunch stop during that day's ride from Lancaster to Pine Grove. I wanted one thing, and one thing only, Tomato Pie. I'm just amazed that something I had already hyped up for days leading up to this portion of our ride, had actually SURPASSED my expectations! I wish I lived near your Cafe, as I would definitely be a frequent customer!

  • Nick O.

I had a blended caramel latte and a peanut butter Nutella and banana panini, and it was one of the best meals I've ever had!! Very creative foods and reasonable prices. It's right across the street from Wilber's chocolate too, so you can get some good chocolate after a great meal!

  • Vickie F.

I've been here twice and enjoyed the food both times. The second time I left room for dessert-a wise strategy! The staff is friendly and the prices reasonable. The tomato pie is really tasty--a must try. There is always something unique to try--coffee with milk and honey or a strawberry and Brie sandwich.

We stopped by for a late lunch after walking around town for hours and are so happy we did. This is certainly a very popular lunch spot in town. Earlier we had noticed a massive line for lunch and also read all the great reviews on line. Thankfully by the time we decided to eat, most of the crowd had gone away. My husband had the tomato pie which he said was amazing! I had a chicken and asparagus quiche which was very very good. We also shared a strawberry lemonade which was cool and refreshing. When walking in, one couldn't help but notice all the delicious baked goods. So after lunch we decided we had just enough space to share a slice of orange cake. It was good! If you are in downtown Lititz looking for a great spot to grab a bite to eat, we certainly recommend checking out this cafe. Just time yourself to avoid the lunchtime crowd.

I ordered the signature menu item and enjoyed it immensely. My husband ordered a Panini sandwich and was pleased, although not overly. The apple dumpling dessert was to-die-for. Overall, I would come back for the food. The decor is charming, the menus urban. Very nice. The staff was professional, helpful and proficient. The downside to this cafe is the long wait, (I'd have to really want another piece of tomato pie to endure the thirty-minute wait again) and the cramped seating. Fortunately, we had just finished eating when a man at a neighboring table sneezed. Rather than sneeze into his own plate, he turned his head in our direction and both my husband and myself felt the spray from his sneeze. My husband became angry and couldn't get out of there fast enough, I became disgusted. Although one ignorant man's actions shouldn't reflect on the cafe as whole, if it wasn't so cramped, I wouldn't have worn his sneeze. I realize they are trying to serve more people at once, but the cramped corners aren't exactly customer friendly.

I love this place. perfect breakfast or lunch while in lititz. but *boo it's closed on sundays (as is most of lititz... those are the days to go to the chocolate cafe on main street.) Not a huge tomato fan, their namesake dish is AWESOME!! it's like a cheesy lasagna w/out the pasta... but it's surprisingly light and cheesy without being heavy! And their coffee drinks?!?! Omg amazing again! with dessert! They have awesome desserts. I especially like their rasberry bar, or pecan pie or shoofly pie. Place is very charming. very yummy, and i like it way better than the hbg location. :o))

Tomato Pie Cafe's tomato pie is EXCELLENT! Husband and I decided to have a pig-out lunch and split the double portion tomato pie option, and also split a grilled cheese, just because it sounded so good. Both were very good, but the tomato pie was memorable and leaves me craving it every so often. Grilled cheese was typical of the new gourmet versions trending on menus these days. No complaints food-wise. Location was not the best for parking. We went a few months ago when it was warm out, and ate in the park across the street. The restaurant was so crowded at lunch between local business people and tourists, it would not have been pleasant to try to eat there. Had we gone in foul or colder weather, we probably would have eaten in the car (we had our doggies with us). The staff was neither overtly friendly, nor anything else. Kind of aloof because they were busy. Would have liked more engaging people, but not required.

Overall, a fun little hole in the wall with delicious, homemade food. We got the tomato pie when we went, which did not disappoint. Along with plenty of veg options, homemade quiches and soups, this place also had a full coffee menu, from which I got a macchiato. Everything was awesome and service was impeccable. The place was packed so we sat at the bar; I would recommend trying to go during a non-peak time. On an unrelated note, I think they have the world's smallest bathrooms.

  • Beth S.

Passed through Lititz and decided to stop here on a whim. SO glad we did. Though it was super packed we didn't have to wait long. Their menu is large and has lots to choose from. We ordered a pesto chicken panini, and the classic tomato pie (which came with a savory herb scone). Both were delicious and served with a bed of greens, dressed with lemon white balsamic from a local business down the road called Olio. The food was mouth watering, the decor was charming, and the staff was kind and snazzily dressed. Would definitely return when I come to Lititz again!

I wasn't sure about the whole tomato pie thing at first seeing as how I never liked tomatoes anyway but since I tried it, I can officially say I love their tomato pie! :-)

Very cute and cozy. We sat on the patio and loved it! They bring you the first little bottle of water when you sit down. The tomato pie was excellent!!! They also have choices for vegetarians and gluten free options

You must get the tomato pie for breakfast lunch or dinner. Its so good. Everything there is super good. Well at least what I've had before. I highly recommend this to anyone. Prices are great. Especially for the quality and the charming atmosphere. If you love fresh coffee then this is the place to get your lattes espressos and all those other special coffee drinks. Oh and you have to try there chai milkshake. Wooahhh. Super good.

  • Deborah R.

Had lunch here based on the previous Yelp reviews and it was awesome! I had the Ham & Brie Pannini which was delicious. The "Adult Grilled Cheese" was scrumptious! It was a perfect combo of cheese, bacon and habanero peppers. The kids baked Mac n cheese comes in muffin tin shapes and my kids didn't think it was as awesome as I did, but they are huge fans of the box Mac n cheese from the grocery store so, on this case, their opinion doesn't count. If I ever find myself back in Litiz again, I will be sure to stop at the Tomato Pie Cafe.

  • Todd And Annie S.

The blueberry quinoa oatmeal is out of this world and their coffee selection and taste is the best Lititz has to offer and that includes some pretty steep competition. The service is trendy with a hip kind 50's/60's nostalgia feel nestled in a shaded cozy corner in the heart of Lititz, Pa. It is a must stop if you're in town for the weekend or just driving through looking for something tasteful and filling. Either way you are guaranteed to get your monies worth!

  • Sarah S.

Great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The "tomato pie" is a must-have if you've never tried it before... You won't be disappointed. Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable but it does get quite busy. Great place for a coffee or latte!

  • Margaret K.

We had a great lunch today. The service was perfect, the just-changed menu delicious, and the desserts were all so tempting I was little stressed out when choosing. The coffee comes from Square One in Lancaster, so they obviously have good taste and the good sense to source it locally. I do believe I'll be looking for excuses to go to Lititz, although going to Tomato Pie is a fine excuse all by itself.

While on a business trip in Lititz, PA, my boss suggested that I have breakfast at the Tomato Pie Cafe - I got into town late and was driving around and happened to drive past, so I went in for dinner. I just had a cup of tomato basil soup - it was very good. The next morning I drove down to have breakfast on their patio - french toast was wonderful and their outdoor dining was so relaxing. They have the tables decorated with small cherry tomato plants as the center piece - Very charming - fit the personality of the little town.

A true gem by the road! If you have trouble finding good coffee on this side of the Atlantic, this place will not disappoint you - their espresso alone is worth five stars. However, this cafe also has a real authentic, quirky character, attentive staff and great food! The signature tomato pie was delicious, and make sure you try their 'raw cappuccino'. After you've relaxed a bit, take a stroll through the cold springs park just across the road! This cafe made our day!

Tomato pie is very unique and delicious, but it really tastes more like cheese and pie crust than tomato, which is probably a good thing. Staff was courteous and accommodating. Food was good. I would go here on a regular basis, and I would probably get tomato pie every time, simply because you can't get it anywhere else.

  • Nick D.

I really like Tomato Pie. It is a really cool little cafe with a nice outdoor seating area and a very cool, old indoor dining room. I have been here several times and have had a pretty wide range of items. First, the Tomato Pie. Being from the Philadelphia area, I only know tomato pie to essentially be a variety of pizza. Here, the tomato pie is literally a pie made from tomatoes. The tomatoes are cut up, seasoned and put in a pie crust, then topped with cheese (a LOT of cheese) and baked. It took me about four visits before I ordered it. The result is good, really good. With that much cheese, it's hard not to be. Give it a shot, really tasty. The panini are solid too. I like the multigrain bread they use. Not all the sandwiches come on that bread, so I would highly recommend asking for that change. I've had an omelet here too, unfortunately it is the dreaded "egg taco" (ingredients placed inside the cooked egg rather than mixed into the egg before cooking. Still don't know why so many places do this). Other than that minor annoyance, everything I've had has been good. I really like their coffee too (Square One Coffee, never heard of it before but I have quickly become a fan). Definitely a go-to spot in Lititz.

When in Lititz, this is THE place to grab a latte to go or enjoy a tasty bite to eat! The sandwiches are excellent and come with a choice of greens or chips. The price is very reasonable for a cafe - 2 cafe sandwiches, a single latte, and an iced chai latte all for $20!

A quaint eatery in the Coolest Small Town in America with table and counter space to have a nibble on quiche or soup of the day. Daily specials and unique beverage choices make this spot a must-stop. And don't forget the tomato pie! As other reviewers have indicated, a European feel in the charming town of Lititz, PA.

Diners looking for a mix of traditional and unique breakfast and lunch dining options will be pleased with the offerings at Tomato Pie Café. Since the name of the place is Tomato Pie, I had to order a slice of "tomato pie", and it was delicious! A pie crust filled with roasted/seasoned tomatoes covered with a top crust of crisp cheese/dough. I was surprised how much I liked this. It was served with a side of mixed greens and a slice of herbed scone (a little confusing, but good). The other entrée tried was the salmon artichoke Panini, which was filled with cool salmon, artichokes, and olive tapenade. My wife enjoyed the Panini and all the ingredients were very fresh. The herbed lemonade was unique, but enjoyable, but the mocha coffee missed the mark. The restaurant is small and there was a wait, but our food arrived in a timely manner once we were seated.

My wife and I love the little town of Lititz, and we loved our experience at the Tomato Pie Cafe. They have some unique offerings, so make sure you branch out. We ate dinner there one night and then stopped in the morning for coffee. The coffee is pretty good, but not necessarily the best I have had. The dinner was amazing. My wife and I shared the tomato bisque soup and the stuffed acorn squash. The soup was good, but the acorn squash was maybe best non-meat dish (I am an avid carnivore) I have ever eaten. Tomato Pie Cafe has a nice atmosphere in the heart of a beautiful and quaint downtown area.

We decided to stop in the Tomato Pie restaurant on our 1st trip to charming Lititz. The special, tomatoe pie, was savory, full of oregano and topped with quiche/custard is amuse have. The cold peach ginger dish was a zesty surprise. The lemon vinegrette on the salad was such a surprise, we sought out the store down the street , Olio, and bought a bottle. The wait staff were all charming and attentive, all donning funky hats.

After reading some of the reviews I was expecting a regular size, full service restaurant, but it's more like a tiny and cozy coffee shop that seats like 30 and has 2 awesome waitresses serving really good food. I think we were really lucky to get here at 5:30 pm and find seating right away. The place got crowded in minutes and I could see some folks waiting for some time. Totally expected being, again, that cozy and small coffee shop we'd all love to have near our homes. I ordered the kisch of the day and a turkey panini and I'm super happy with my choice. The portions are generous but not too big and the dressing for the greens is amazing. My girlfriend ordered their trademark tomato pie and boy it is good! We didn't order desserts (even though they have like 10 different cakes and pies) and instead got a couple of their signature coffees and they were just the right choice. I'd gladly recommend this to anybody passing by Lititz and I'm definitely coming back.

1-14-2013: Update to add one more thing the Tomato Pie must fix. The bathrooms are laughably small. You have to see them to believe them. The Men's room is almost too small for me to close the door behind me. No, I'm not THAT big! This is an issue, because not only are they far too small for able bodied customers, but they are simply not handicapped accessible. On a weekday around 3pm last week, I watched a woman with a walker attempt to use the Ladies room. Long story short, she couldn't get in. Imagine the problems this brings up. They must fix this issue. I'm actually lowering my revue by one star because of this and the continued lack of service on the part of the wait staff.

The food was delicious, until I found myself throwing it up for the majority of the night. Can't even think about that tomato pie without getting queasy... Augh.

The salads and coffee were good. But the ham and brie pannini was particularly good along with the apple dumpling for dessert. The service was a bit confusing with drinks and food coming from different places.

Nice little place. My wife and I had lunch there on the patio which was nice. Not a lot of room inside so the patio is a nice way to add some space. Had the turkey pesto panini which was delicious and nicely done. I look forward to going back.

This place is one of my new favorites! The first time I came it was on a hot summer day and they had a Mint Basil smoothie on special. It was so cool and delicious we ordered another right away! My grilled peach goat cheese and arugula salad was very delicious. I had brunch there recently and had the Fried Eggs & Raspberry Brie on toasted sunflower bread and it was perfect. Such a lovely location and friendly staff, too.

Quirky low key cafe where the fedora sporting waitresses need both hands to deliver your giant latte. Our stop here for breakfast was a hit. Tomato Pie Flipper is excellent. Makes for a very savory breakfast, and causes the Greek flipper to look mediocre by comparison. I'd easily come back here for lunch.

Oh my word! I can't say enough about this place. Soooooo goooood! What we tried today: * egg and ham panini -- crunchy, warm, cheesy. Set off with pesto mayo for dipping -- I almost fell off of my stool. * ham and cheese panini -- flavorful combination of ham, basil, cheese, and a touch of fruit jam. * tomato bisque -- piping hot and loaded with tomato flavor. One cute little basil leaf was floating on the top. * loaded baked potato soup -- just a perfectly rich and warming soup on a cold, rainy day. * coffee -- I hope you like dark roast. We didn't think to ask what the coffee was like so after about 5 sugars and all of the cream they put before us we had coffee more to our liking. The restaurant was well staffed and service was attentive, the food arrived in good time, and the place was quite busy for a weekday. The wonderful woman behind the bar was working on a hot apple cider drink to go with the fall season. She had cider mixed with cream which was going to be steamed with caramel syrup and topped with fresh cinnamon. We will be back soon!!!

I was very impressed with this quaint yet hip play on a little cafe in Lititz! The tomato bisque is my favorite and I've had my fair share of tomato bisques but none compare! It's a little cramped that's why I couldn't give a 5/5 rating! Will be back!

The best restaurant I have been to all year! This place has over the top food at fantastic pricing. Get the signature tomato pie. Enjoy!

I'm a little sad because the weather is getting colder because I love sitting outside at Tomato Pie in their great outdoor seating. This place is within walking distance and we go there often and bring our dog. They give our dog fresh water and we usually order a couple of great cappuccinos or lattes... Which they won an award from Fine Living Lancaster Magazine. So I love the food, love the service and would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I can't give this place enough stars. The food was outrageously perfect. Nice quaint place with great atmosphere and super friendly staff. We both had the Tomato pie which is not a pizza. It's a pie with nice delicious chunks of tomato and this kind of light fluffy cheese on top all baked in a pie crust and served with either greens or chips. The desert selection was fantastic and tasted even better than it looked. We had Pecan pie and Red Velvet Cupcakes. Don't hesitate to visit by this restaurant. There is even patio seating in what I call the Tomato Garden. This is a must experience place.

Very cute setting in a converted house right in the center in Lititz. It's cramped and quirky, but totally worth a visit. The food is very good, tasty and fresh. Reasonable prices. Even the drinks like herb lemonade and moroccan tea were fantastic. And the savory herb scone that came as a side with our lunch was light and moist - not too crumbly. Wouldn't hesitate to come back again. I'll have to have the tomato pie next time!

  • David V.

In case you live in Philly, like we do, the tomato pie is not a pizza with tomato sauce. It's an actual pie... with tomatoes in it. It is a very good pie with tomatoes, but it's an important distinction. Having said that: get the tomato pie, it's very good. Also had some kind of thick green tea shake that was awesome. There's something about this place that's just really good. I think it's how they season the food.

Driving towards the town of Lititz is nothing short of entering God's country with it's spectacular and breathtaking countryside. For miles you will see nothing more than huge and immaculate farms, cars and horse drawn carriages. I was starving as we were hoping to find a local restaurant to have a good hearty breakfast in, but nothing was in sight as we passed farm, after farm, after farm. I began to envision coffee being brewed in the kitchens of the farm house, while the bacon was frying, the home fries were browning and young children were out gathering fresh eggs and I wanted in on it all... Hubby refused to knock on any of their doors and insisted there would be a good place to stop soon. Lo and behold we were entering Lititz, which is just a speck on the map and if you blink twice you will miss it, but oh my heavens there is so much to take in that trying to see a place for breakfast became a thing of the past. Hubby is saying are you looking for a place while I am saying oh look at the beautiful fountains and there is the chocolate factory and look there is the pretzel factory... Before we knew it we were at the end of Main Street, I would have been happy with chocolate or a pretzel or a chocolate covered pretzel, oh yeah!! We ventured over a street or two and ran right into Glassmyer's Restaurant, which is a very large and old yet well maintained building which used to be a Bed & Breakfast. Glassmyer's is located directly across the street from the Lititz Springs Park. It is the second oldest restaurant in Lititz and has one of the oldest soda fountains in Lancaster County, it is the only one left to still serve egg creams. I do believe the requirements for working there is to be very young or to be very elderly, I witnessed no one in between. The front of the restaurant has a large window with floor space that holds a table and chairs and scattered chairs with life sized collectible dolls enjoying treats from the ice cream fountain and bar. Once you enter from the covered porch you are greeted and asked to seat yourself in one of the two open dining rooms. We chose the back dining room which had lace curtained tall windows with vintage molding and afforded a great people watching spot. We each had an omelet, hubbies was of bacon, cheese, onion and peppers, mine was a spinach, mushroom, onion, tomato, peppers and Swiss cheese omelet. Each came with toast, I substituted an English muffin which they buttered and seared on the grill and now I will always want them this way as it was so good. Home fries were an extra dollar and we shared one order with peppers and onions and it was more than enough for the two of us. Glassmyer's is only open for breakfast and lunch and they are closed on Sundays, their prices are very low.. Many locals dine here as they all seemed familiar with each other. In all honesty it was one of the best omelets I have ever had, the spinach was fresh as were the mushrooms and the Swiss cheese was a good quality cheese, my belly was full and I was more than ready to go check out the town of Lititz.

I've dined here a few times, mostly on 2nd Friday Lititz mainly because it's casual and a step up from the Friz and Freeze. Overall the food was good although the menu was limited. The atmosphere is quant but cramped and their ordering procedure is a bit confusing....still haven't decided if it has waitress service or self order because it seems to be a little of both. Which leaves the timeless question to tip or not to tip? They're known for their tomato pie but not being a fan of tomatoes can't really say if it lives up to all the hype. On one occasion they had brought in live music but I don't feel this is the venue for that and limited the space and increased the noise level even more. If you're looking for a comfortable place to have a conversation and linger I would say keep looking. If you're in the mood for a quick cup of coffee or salad this hits the spot.

I really like this place, food and service are always good. My favorite sandwich is the smoked salmon and artichoke panini. When ordering the French toast be sure to ask for the "real maple syrup". The coffee and iced tea are also very good. All in all a much better experience than the corporate coffee places nearby.

We'd been trying to get to this place for a while (not open on Sundays) and finally made it. SO worth the trip! Their tomato pie is TO.DIE.FOR!!! They mix up a great hummus too. All the dishes were delish. Didn't get to try dessert, with all the other yummy food we had, but we'll be back! Definitely worth checking out!

Visited on a Friday afternoon 3/30/12. One table left when we arrived. Had two different soups (chicken something-or-other and sausage lentil)--both were WONDERFUL (wish I could get the recipes) This was a little midday repast for the wife and me. Service was good. Nice little eclectic place and we hope to return when again in the area. P.S. Found a dry mix for sausage lentil soup at the Intercourse Canning Company

I am a huge fan of this restaurant! My favorite meal is the ham and brie panini. It is a great place for a good, gourmet, scratch made sandwich, soup or salad for not a whole lot of money. I eat here on a regular basis with friends and family. Their drinks are also quite enjoyable and range from smoothies to coffee drinks. The service has always been great in my experience. As for complaints listed by other Yelpers - yes, the restrooms are small and yes, Tomato Pie is in the process of improving this. As to the comments on the size: This restaurant has plenty of seating (three rooms worth) but is often filled to the brim because it is very popular with the locals. They do not accept reservations for groups of fewer than 6 so your best bet for choice of seating is to arrive before 11 am or after 1:30 pm for lunch.

Try the tomato pie, there's a reason they named their cafe after it! This was a popular place, with good reason, and there was a short wait, but it's worth it. Our waiter was lovely, attentive and the food came very promptly. Lovely healthy options and everything was very fresh. The little town of Lititz is beautiful and this is a great place to stop for lunch while walking around. Good coffee too.

i've been here for breakfast and lunch and have never had a bad meal. everything tastes fresh and well seasoned. there's rosemary on the potatoes, interesting salad dressings and herbs in the lemonade. and the basil. the basil, the basil, the basil in that tomato pie. i suggest trying everything else on the menu before you eat their signature dish; once you've had the tomato pie, you'll never stray. parking is what parking is in lititz: metered street spaces and the occasional rare find. i don't think most of the shops in the area have a private lot. your amazing meal is going to be less than $10 so just throw some change in your pocket before you head out and everything will be easy breezy. if you're from out of town, the wilbur chocolate factory is just across the street, as is the park. most of the cute shops are a block or two away. have a lovely breakfast, take a stroll or tour and come back for lunch.

The food is excellent - the staff was attentive without being annoying. The server accommodated my special order ( fruit instead of apple sauce for my granddaughter). The kids menu is great - kid appropriate without going to processed food - the mac and cheese was 'home-made' not blue box. I had the eggs/tomato pie entree - awesome. Where they get fresh tomatoes in December is beyond me but they were flavorful not winter bland. My friend had the oatmeal pancakes - I stole a bite and would have stolen more if my own meal hadn't been excellent. Can't wait to go back and try the desserts.

this is place that women will love and men, real men, will think is a little too quaint. Place has a real feminine aura about it. Women who love crafts and scrapbooking go here. Located in an old house with creaky floors, the food was pretty good, not great, and a tad pricey given the serving amounts. Service was excellent once they remembered we were seated upstairs. Bathroom was incredibly tight. You could literally sit on the toilet and rest your chin on the sink, without leaning forward. At 6'1" and 210 lbs. I could barely squeeze into the bathroom. Anyone larger than me weight wise might have to be pried out.

Stopped in for brunch on a Wednesday and boy, were they busy! Its a quaint, little place that has tons of charm and an easy atmosphere. It reminded us of many of the cafes in Portland, Oregon. My little one was infatuated with his rainbow french toast. And my tomato pie was as yummy as many of the reviewers claimed. The only downside is the wait for food was more than expected. But that also could be because of how busy the place was at the time. Looking forward to our next visit!

For Lititz, this is a step in the right direction. Finally a sit down coffeeshop with real meals. Tomato Pie only has one problem, they're service is TERRIBLE. They have forgotten I was there mulitple times, they're incredibly slow, and their wait staff needs improvement with basics like drink refills and when to give you your check. Foods great, but the service needs work.

Wow. Everything. And I do mean everything is amazing. Herb Lemonade. Chilled Peach Soup. Carrot Fritters. Tomato Pie. Sweet Potato sandwich (sweet potato & mascarpone on grilled brioche bread).

It's always very busy here. Don't be surprised if there's a wait. The food is high quality. I've had the grilled cheese (vermont cheddar & muenster) and their ham & brie pannini. Excellent! The quiche of the day is always very good and they have excellent soups, too. Someday I've gotta try the Tomato Pie. Love the building. Very Victorian.

We stopped at that busy little restaurant on Dec 31. It was mid-afternoon and they were pretty crowded / we had to wait a while for a table. The building is really old and decorated nicely. The wait staff definitely does not look like they come from Lititz. They all wore hats / berets. The menu was limited, but there's enough on it to find something that looks good. We ordered various breakfast and lunch dishes. The food was served in a reasonable amount of time. We had the sweet potato with mascarpone on grilled brioche. The first few bites were delicious, but overall, the dish was really heavy. Same for the signature tomato pie. It was tasty, but extremely heavy. The breakfast sliced salmon on bagel was excellent. We had coffee with the meal and it was good, served hot with refills coming without being asked.

We liked everything about this place except of their "bed of greens" or " LIGHTLY TOSSED GREENS "( whatever that means) choice present with every sandwich or pie or in our case Curry Chicken Salad dish. It's basically just plain washed greens which don't have any dressing or salt or anything done to it, and though they are fresh, don't add any taste value to otherwise quite tasty main parts of the dish. The taste could be much better if the dish would be served with real mixed greens salad in stead of plain leaves. But otherwise it's a cute and yummy place and attracts a lot of patrons.

Great service and even better food. My mom had the Tomato Pie, which is not like the Philly tomato pie - this one was similar to a quiche with hearty stewed tomatoes and cheese. I had the pesto chicken panini and it was delicious. We were lucky enough to grab one of the outside tables, but the patio was closed for a priate function. I would definitely go back to this place anytime!

Wonderful food and atmosphere! I haven't tried any of the drinks yet (other than iced tea which is made from English Breakfast). The pesto chicken panini is the best! The pesto doesn't overpower the entire sandwich like most others I've had. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area.

My favorite cafe in Lititz. You need to try the tomato pie. It is not the pizza type pie that some of you might be accustomed to. It is an actual pie crust filled with fresh tomatoes and cheese. Delish! They also have a refreshing herbal lemonade and fresh brewed iced tea. They now have a kids menu. My daughter loved her grilled cheese in rainbow bread. Great desserts and coffees too!

Cute cafe with light fare at reasonable prices. Homey atmosphere, like you're dining in a little cottage. We got the tomato pie (of course) and the daily quiche - good though not stellar, with nice accompaniments of scone and salad. I also enjoyed a good pot of rooibos tea.

If you want food that abounds with freshness, flavor and uniqueness, this is your place. Sweet find in Lititz, PA. Where can two friends eat such dreamy food for under $20? I had the tomato pie and my friend had the sweet potato and mascarpone grilled panini which we shared so we could each try something different on the menu. The tomato pie was filled with red-ripe tomatoes in a crust topped with the best cheese combo flavors; rich and smooth. The panini was a nice break from boring grilled cheese and much better for you. Good selection of hot and cold teas among all the other options for refreshments. The dessert options were plentiful and we choose a lemon bar and a raspberry one. Again so perfect! The waitress was very cheerful, friendly and interested in how we came about stopping there which we were happy to share our story. She checked backed with us often but not intrusively which is a big plus. Contrary to the man-review that stated "women who love crafts and scrap booking go here" which I am neither! Not sure how he figured that one. The bathrooms are small but I didn't find I needed any more room. Plan to definitely return here every time I am in the area!

I think their cafe and concept is amazing. The food was fabulous. Try the tomato pie, I'm dying to go back just to get it again. Their mascarpone and sweet potato pannini was so creamy. They make wonderful coffee drinks, I had a hazelnut peach latte! There is usually a brief wait because they are so popular and they are actually very inexpensive!

My sister and I came across this place a few weeks ago. Each shop owner was recommending it as we shopped so we went. It was incredible! We had the tomato bisque and we wanted to lick the cup. The tomato pie was unbelievably delicious! I would love the recipe and I will expect to see this place featured on Food Network someday!

Tomato pie was a hit! We shared it as an appetizer. Quiche and salads were also very good- savory herb scones were delish...when they remembered to bring it. Had the service been a little quicker, we would given 5 stars.

The tomato pie is pure perfection. They did a great job modernizing the historic establishment. The staff were very friendly and attentive and they were very kind to squeeze my family in the small space even with my big stroller and sleeping newborn. I took my 2 yr old and she LOVED the menu options. Who needs a kids menu? Feed your children their delicious (and real) food. Share something if the portion is too big. Can't wait to return the next time we are visiting family!

Wooahhh. Super good.

A second patio lunch 48 hours later. Service not quite as peppy, food still excellent. Seasonal special of Maple Turkey Panini with apples and brie was super tasty, but unless the brie was that little bit of creamy dressing on the bread, it was invisible. I must get some lemon and white balsamic from Olio and make this same house dressing for my own salads!

The tomato pie is amazing! The staff is great as well. The seating is a little crowded but not a big deal. A revisit is in order.

The eggs are awesome. I love the fresh fruit. Me and my group all got the same thing. I would recommend it for breakfast. The lattes are great. It wasnt a long wait.

Wonderfully creative and delicious menu but it's so popular that it's often hard to get a table. Good service, charming atmosphere.

I had a blended caramel latte and a peanut butter Nutella and banana panini, and it was one of the best meals I've ever had!! Very creative foods and reasonable prices. It's right across the street from Wilber's chocolate too, so you can get some good chocolate after a great meal!

Great place to stop for lunch or a good cup of coffee. Beware they have lots of hipsters wearing fedoras working here!!! So if you can look past that and enjoy some great food you have a good time! My husband hates tomatoes and loved the tomato pie!

This is our favorite breakfast spot. Fun pastries, delicious entrees and they use local ingredients when they can! Their hot chocolate can't be beat. Call ahead, if it's a busy time of day or the weekend!

We stopped on for breakfast and had the tomato pie flipper and the maple-daise benedict ... we will definitely be back
