They refused to honor my Restaurant.com coupon. I thought they were obligated to do so. We went there hoping to save some money, but we certainly didn't. I won't be going back. I'm not sure they can be trusted if they don't honor their agreements.

I can't understand why this place isn't packed all the time. They have some of the most authentic Napolese Italian food I've eaten this side of the Atlantic. It was a big family dinner and we told Peppi to give us an assortment of appetizers. They brought out roasted asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, shrimp sautéed in lemon and capers, bruschetta, calamari, and sliced mozzarella covered with lump crab meat and smoked salmon. All of their food is excellent, they have a full bar and a family pizzeria next door. I would advise you to give this place a try. It's well worth the drive to Lititz.

Been here since I was a kid and I'be loved every cheesy experience, they have excellent pizza, especially their stuffed pizza! They also have a a pretty decent beer selection!

This place is good. I've been for lunch twice, and both times I got the Stromboli. The reason I haven't gotten anything else is that, so far, I haven't found a better Stromboli anywhere else. My wife had a pizza with mozzarella, basil, olive oil and tomatoes and thought it was excellent. Service is fine, seems like just the right amount of attention. All told I really like this place.

We tried this place out for dinner. The lettuce in the salad still was still wet from sitting in water (hello salad spinner). The soup de jour was bland. The.spaghetti and meatballs were good although a little too much sauce. Service was good. Overall, very average.

I'm a tough judge of good Italian, but this place is great. Homemade pasta, great sauce. Fantastic meatballs.

Based on the number of patrons I see in the dining room during any given visit, I don't know how the restaurant stays open. Based on the food, I don't know why they're not packed all of the time. Authentic Italian dishes and I've never had a bad meal here. We are generally the only couple when we dine here, which totally baffles me, but it makes for a nice, quiet meal where we don't have to raise our voices to be heard at the same table as you would in some of the trendier restaurants. Great restaurant for a romantic dinner. If you have not tried Capriccio's, I suggest you do. You will not be disappointed. *I have never been on the other side (fast food, pizza). I recommend their dinner menu. Although everything I've ever tried was delicious, the Fettuccine with Mushrooms is the best I've ever had - anywhere.

A pleasant, comfortable place to eat really well at a price that lets you return often. It's a trattoria. It's comfortable. The food comes first. The service a close second. If you understand "Italian" as a culture and not just a cuisine, then you already know this place. Your family (of all ages) is welcome and comfortable here. You're not rushed in or out. It may be a few minutes till they get to you, but what's your hurry? The table space is generous. The chairs are sturdy. The tablecloths are vinyl. The mood and vibe are very good. The food: When the complimentary bread has a light, shatteringly-crisp crust...oh that's a good sign. (and the inside was just as light and moist but with great wheat flavor). And they know how to create a great sauce. My Calamari Luciano was spicy and tangy, and freshly sweet with the tomatoes and salty with the Kalamata olives. Generous with the calamari. The meal was exceptional on a sub-zero evening. If you want to look a gift horse in the mouth... -In the middle of winter, the salad was as white as the Polar Vortex left me. But even then, there were olives and red onion and grape tomatoes to make it less so. -If you're a pasta snob, I'm not sure you'd find the pasta "al dente", but it wasn't too far over, and many people don't want to work hard for their pasta. I've read the reviews that were more critical and, while every diner and cook can have a bad day, I think those more critical miss the point of Cafe Capriccio. It's not pretentious. It doesn't have a diner menu. They make really good southern Italian comfort food. In that, they are bellisimo in my eyes. Ciao.

Have eaten here several times. The ambiance leaves a lot to be desired but the food is good. A bit overpriced in my opinion but a solid meal.

Worst restaurant experience in awhile. My chicken parm tasted like it was frozen and then fried with way too much sauce on the pasta. My husband's Alfredo sauce was so watery it would barely stay on the noodles, and the "grilled chicken" he added was overcooked, tasteless slabs. My friend's lasagna was more like soup. There were four of us and two of us got our meals, the third person got their meal 3-5 minutes later, and the last person got their cheese steak about 7 minutes after that. I've never seen food come out so far apart. When we finally paid it took at least 5 to 10 minutes to get our cards back to sign. And we were one of about 3 or 4 tables in the whole place. Also, too pricey for the quality. If you're over this side of town go to Family Cupboard instead--you won't regret that. Ps--our server was very nice.

You'll be skeptical when you pull into this restaurant - it looks like a cheap dive bar, and there was no one else there when we parked. But trust me, it's worth it. We split a shrimp appetizer, and it was divine. The bread that came with the salads was some of the best bread I've ever eaten. The tomatoes on the salad were beautiful, fresh, and lively - unexpected in late September. And all of our entrees were cooked beautifully - special requests were accommodated, pasta wasn't overcooked. You wouldn't expect to find authentic Italian in the middle of Pennsylvania, but this place totally knows what they're doing. Highly recommend.

Ok, so this listing is totally incorrect. This location has a dining room and a pizza shop style booth section. View their website for pictures capricciopizzarestaurant… The food is excellent. The atmosphere is not loud. You could have a great Italian dinner with a glass of wine. They do have table service in the restaurant. I have been eating here for years - the pizza shop and the restaurant. I highly recommend both. They have a great selection of carry-out beer as well.

You cannot leave without trying, or taking home, the Veggie Pizza. Amazing. Must love garlic. The dinning room area is nice. Tuna salad is very good. Never disappointed.

Cafe Cappricio is two restaurants in one. The casual counter service is popular for lunch business and offers a decent selection of pizza slices, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. Carry out beer is also available. The issue here is that the TV is usually blaring Italian soccer games, so if you get a slice of pizza to eat in, you can't hear yourself think! And in cold weather, the dining area is really COLD! Bring a jacket! The more upscale dining room features a menu of Italian favorites but I would not return because the prices are high considering that the food comes from the same kitchen as the carry out side, the service was slow the couple of times I went there, and it too is really cold in there! In warm weather, outdoor seating is available but it is adjacent to the parking not, soon real ambience there.

Came in for just pizza and beer and we loved the brick oven pizza. Tasty thin crust that was super good. Reminded us of the great pizza you get in Italy!! Super nice staff. Great Italian choice in the Lancaster County area.

I suspect the people who rated this place as 5 star have never eaten real Italian food. I grew up in an Italian neighborhood and every mom there would never serve anything like this. My sister-in-law ordered a calzone and it was quite good. However, I ordered spaghetti and my wife ordered lasagna and both tasted like they came out of a can - noodles overcooked and sauce bland. When my wife mentioned that the noodles were mushy, the waitress said the cook (can't call him a chief) said some people like it, others don't. I would suggest that they stick to pizza, calzone and other pizza like items. It's a pizza joint, not a restaurant.

I find the meal prices a bit salty. Food is decent but if I had a choice I would go to La Piazza instead. If you are a woman the staff can make you feel uncomfortable by staring at you. Most people I know ask their husbands or boyfriends to pick up their order because of it.

To start with, I have only had the stuffed pizza and the Stromboli here. Can't speak of anything else. I mount no defense on the menu in general. The Stromboli was so-so. Nothing special. HOWEVER, the stuffed pizza freaking rocks. I have high standards in Stromboli being that I was raised as a college lad on Sugar Bowl Stromboli which are the best in the land. I have found that places will rarely ever be really good at both pizza and Stromboli. I have a theory that it starts with the dough. One type of dough can't be used for both. Stromboli dough should be thin and crisp, not bready and chewy. I hypothesize that joints try to use the same dough for both and that is a no-no. Greeks do Stromboli dough better. Must be the baklava. Italians do pizza dough better because it is more bready. Back to the stuffed pizza. It has a moderately thick amount of dough encasing, womb-like, a creation of cheesy and meaty wonder. Bathed in tomato sauce, and marinated in herbs and spices, it is delivered to the plate. OK, the baby analogy breaks down when the eating starts. I used to eat at fancy restaurants with my super-foodie former wife. Like, NYC, Boston, LA, Philly, or Aspen restaurants where dinner for two could easily exceed &150. One time, after eating a good but ludicrously expensive meal at a place in Minneapolis, I made the offhand comment that I would have been just as happy with a good pizza. I was being truthful but it deducted some serious points from the marital account. I just found the food, the ambience, and the bill, terribly pretentious. I know what I like, and I'd put two slices of this culinary delight for 8 bucks against that odious $ 50 bone marrow sandwich. I might eat on a dare if you paid me $ 50. Since my buddy stop by to eat after mountain biking in the area, Bruno (in the pic) has kind of gotten to know us. He comes out and we shoot the breeze. He's from Italy and he has his sweet niece working with him. He is really funny and his niece-something was really kind because they had to make our slices fresh and it took awhile. She sounds just off the plane from Italy which just added to the authenticity of the dining experience. Eat outside on the patio and gaze upon suburbia. It ain't Rome but with food this good, you are going to be staring at your food anyway. La Dolce Pizza!

When you come here, you are getting the real Italian food and hospitality, from appetizer to expresso after. You will not regret a bite

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
