Best pizza and wings in the area. The wing sauce is simply amazing. Sweet and hot, great for dipping your pizza as well! I only recommend take-out though. Parking stinks, limited seating, and poor service.

Great place for food and friends. Warm comfortable atmosphere for family meals or a night out. Fresh baked bread makes any meal exquisite. Highly recommend.

I'll make this short. I do business in the area and chose this place to order from for lunch. I ordered four large pizzas and two 2-liter sodas. Beside the fact that they couldn't have the pizzas ready when I needed them to be even after calling an hour in advance, they wanted to charge me $.70 for each of the 15 paper plates I asked for. Are you joking?? Spent over $70 on food and they can't just give paper plates that cost pennies on a dollar? Makes sense though, the place is completely dead and they have about 10 people working. Guess they need to make money somehow. Oh, and the food is mediocre at best. Won't be bringing my business here again.

The service is spotty. Sometimes good, sometimes so-so. I think this is due to the younger average age of the waitresses. The older ones are great. The parking is bad during the weekend supper hours. Other than that, it isn't that bad. The menu has some of the best variety in Mifflin County. The wings are also the best in the county. The atmosphere is great for families. The owners are some of the best in Mifflin County. Try the ribs and chicken for a change from the typical OIP food. One of my favorite dishes in the county.

I've eaten here several times over the years, on visits home to see the folks. They do a hell of a great barbecue rib dinner. Recently, they annexed the storefront next door and expanded their dining room, doubling their seating area and also adding a coffee and pastry counter. Their pizza isn't QUITE as good as the Original OIP, and their bread isn't QUITE as good, and their subs aren't QUITE as good, and their dinners and salads aren't QUITE as good, but still pretty good. Tonight I had a southwestern chicken sandwich that was really tasty, with a seasoned chicken breast and mushrooms, onions, and peppers, plus a little cheese. My dad devoured the stromboli in less than ten minutes. Parking stinks? I parked right in front of the restaurant. There were three spots on the half-block. Where else does that happen but in small-town America?

Great ribs. Their ribs have a great slightly sweet sauce that I love. I use to go to a place in State College for ribs until I tried these. They have been the ribs of choice since although there is competition from a new local place. The Friday night party pack of Ribs, Pizza and Wings are at least a frequent must. I'm not a big fan Italian food and in a area over flowing with Italian restaurants this is one of the best according to my family.

Look, if you want a great sandwich then you need to go to the downtownOIP. Simply the best Pittsburgh sandwich outside of Pittsburgh and maybe the best if we were in Pittsburgh! Try it with egg! Best sandwiches in Central PA.

I'm going to go ahead and give this place a 4 star review. We stopped in here on a whim while passing through the forgotten downtown of Lewistown, and it looked like the most happening place around. One thing that separates this OIP from the others that dot the state of Pennsylvania is the fact that they are also a grille and serve a much more extensive menu such as sandwiches and appetizers not normally found at an OIP. On our visit we stuck with the OIP staple which is Pizza. This Pizza was pretty decent I'd say middle of the road as far as NY style Pizza go's. Overall it did not disappoint. The standout at this OIP is the great waitress we had. She was very helpful, and overall pushed this review to the 4 stars. Another standout is the fact that they give you 10% off your bill if you are a AAA member. I rarely see this at a non-chain restaurant, and hardly ever get to use that AAA card that sits in my wallet craving attention. Overall I would stop in again if in the Downtown Lewistown area.

Another Go to place....groups meet there all the time. Don't even question if it's good....if it's on the menu it's worth eating. Strombolis are HUGE here (seriously I at 265lbs order a MEDIUM if I'm REALLY hungry and want to take some home). Ribs, wings, pasta, pizza, subs, they're all good. They've also added the dessert display (which I've never had but they all LOOK seriously awesome I just never have room). Wait staff is prompt and professional refills happen without asking. Multiple stages of seating allow you to pick from a slightly dim lit bench seating to high bistro seating to large family style tables to a shaded indoor porch almost picnic style. This leaves a little bit of anything for everyone. The ONLY thing that hurts this place is Location Location Location. Downtown metered parking SUCKS! Overall though this place brings a degree of Honor to the OIP name.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
