I haven't had many of the food items yet, but did enjoy a good normal cheesesteak here before. I'm impressed with the bottle shop. My husband and I go there fairly often for the "Mix and Match" six packs. It's nice to able to try a variety of microbrews without having to purchase a six pack of the same thing. At this point, we have had quite a few of the selections and would like to see a rotation. I'm not sure when the bottles are restocked but I'd like to find out so we can try even more! I enjoy cider and mostly darker beers (stouts and porters), and there are always lots of options to choose from in the bottle shop. Love the gift sets! I purchased a Mad Elf set for my husband for Christmas and he was beyond happy.

After hearing positive feedback from friends we tried The Friendly Greek. They have a great selection of beer. I was not impressed by the food. I ordered the chicken cheesesteak. The layer of meat didn't even fill the roll or cover one side of the bread. It was so sparse I only tasted the cheese. My husband ordered the meatball parmesan sub. It was so soggy he couldn't pick it up to eat it. He needed a fork and knife. Get your beer there but pick somewhere else to eat.

This is a review for the bottle shop only, I haven't had any of their food yet. My wife stopped in to get me a few gifts. Great selection of craft and specialty beer and the best prices I've seen around here. The staff was very nice and took the time to help her find some of the things I like. I'll be buying all of my 6 packs and singles here from now on.

This is the place to come for a mix & match 6 pack in Lancaster! Fantastic selection of crafts as well as big beers, and their prices blow pretty much everyone else around out of the water! $14 Mix & Match, you can't beat it! Food wise, I've only had their pizza, but it was quite delicious.

Been past this place hundreds of times but only lately noticed that had opened a bottle shop. A bottle shop! In Pennsylvania??? Wow, we've embraced the 20th century! Never mind the 21st. Anyway, the employee was very friendly and helpful. The offerings tended to be on the uber hop-heavy side, and a you-pick six pack costs $14.00 [+.50 if you whip out a card, as I did.] I attribute this to PA's dumba$$ regulations. As I was checking out, I noticed that they sell growlers, and had a decent selection of craft beers on tap to fill them. I had to check my drivers license to make sure what state I was in. If you are in the Lancaster County area, pass the buggy and check it out.

A fine establishment for hard-to-find craft beer and an incredible Philly Cheesesteak! The FG is a great 1-stop shop. They have a great deli / hot sandwich menu and hands down the best micro / craft beer assortment in Lancaster area. Been here several times and always find something new to try.

You deal with some sketchy people buying 40s and drinking Natty Ice while arguing politics in the seated section, but seriously this place know how to stock a great selection of brews. Great selection on tap as well and offer growler fills. Food is okay and staff if friendly.

This place is awesome. Pick up some brews , eat while you shop and while your at it, enjoy a brew on tap! surprisingly great selection of craft beer!

Friendly Greek Bottle Shop? More like Unfriendly Greek Bottle Shop. I went in around 3 or 4 times and every single time it was the same experience. I asked around to see what others had to say and it was sort of the general consensus; the people who work here are kind of rude. If that doesn't bother you, they have a decent craft beer selection and I'm always happy with what I bring home. Just... maybe y'all should change your name...

Fantastic beer selection and a knowledgable staff. Good prices per bottle that allows you to satisfy the taste buds. Everything from hop-head freaks to big porters and stouts is here.....Ummmmm Beeeeerrrrrr!

I love this place! They have great prices and the best gyros around. Seating is limited so I usually call and order ahead. If you're a fan of gyros, stop by and treat yourself.

What a great find! Their beer selection (both by the bottle and six-pack) is amazing! I was seeking out a hard-to-find brew and they had it. I will keep coming back for it, too.

This place is amazing. Tip: When you purchase your $14 6pack mix, you cant drink them here. Only the beers on tap can you enjoy at the restaurant. The two men behind the counter were very friendly and knowledgeable. Got the food to go and all I can say on that right now is it smells delicious!!!!

good bottle shop. lots of beer, new stuff arrives regularly. they have a solid draft list and fill growlers both 64 and 32 oz. which is nice. can't really comment on the food

We went for the first time recently. I like to grab pick-6's for my father who loves trying different craft beers. The domestic selection was very good, I was hoping to find more imports, but I made do. The guy behind the counter actually thanked me for asking whether I could grab any bottle out of any carton or if I had to stick to the 2-fridge doors closest to the counter. Every place is different. At the FG, you gotta keep your pick-6 to the bottles in the first 2-fridge doors. Which is fine...there's a great selection. They also had a really nice selection of drafts for your growler. About 10-12 taps if I remember correctly.

I've been back a few times, most recently to check out their expanded craft beer selection. They have added many more beers and have a bottle selection to rival those of their competitors across town. Still not impressed with the service or staff, still rude. But for just stopping in to get a mixed 6 pack it'll do.

  • Chris N.

I can't speak for the food as I've yet to try it (though it looks and smells wonderful) As for the beer? Ridiculous selection. Make sure you check the secret stash in the back, sometimes there are stragglers.. Nabbed myself some Lost Abbey goods a few months back.

Great selection of craft bottles. I'm a fan of Cider and I always find a six pack to take home. They make a really great chicken cheesesteak... but what's with that really sexually inappropriate guy at the register?

I used to live about a block away from the Friendly Greek a couple years ago. The wife's favorites were the cheesesteak with sauce and onions and the gyro on a pita. When she talks about a cheesesteak or gyro, the Friendly Greek is one of her favorite places. She still talks about getting one of those delicious sandwiches. On the other hand, I really liked the cheeseburger grinder. It was a cheeseburger sub that was toasted with lettuce, tomatoes and onion. Sometimes if I didn't eat it right away, I would take it to work the next day. I would sometimes even eat it cold the next day. So delicious! I'm not a fan of onions but it adds flavor to the grinder. I think they had (and still have) the best cheeseburger sub/grinder. I think you can't go wrong!
