Was this a Panera Bread last week? Ok, I'm being snarky but there are many similarities between this and Panera, and that's NOT a good thing. I had the entree-sized Cobb salad. The small amount of chicken was dry and poorly seasoned. It was all iceberg lettuce which means an unflattering watery crunch. Bacon had decent flavor but was cooked so long it was hard as a rock. Dressing was nothing special. The small piece of focaccia was warm and a welcome accompaniment.

It's clean and well lit, definitely a good venue to meet up for brunch and lunch. However, food wise there is nothing super impressive about this place. They have your typical sandwiches and wraps. I had the apple sausage Panini and it was tasty enough. There was a hint of sweetness from the apple and the Panini was nicely toasted. My friend got the well-advertised Anaheim scrambler with bacon and avocado. The eggs were a tad too dry and bland. Overall, this is a great venue, but the food is nothing I crave about at night.

Although I'm not usually into franchise food, the corner bakery cafe is great! They have a great selection of salads, sandwiches and drinks, and all that I've sampled this far have been great. Prices are a bit high, but I'm willing to pay a bit extra for quality food.

It's pretty good but nothing out of this world. I like the breakfast and salads.

The staff and manager are super friendly and service-oriented at this particular store in Horsham. You dont get that much nowadays so I was pleasantly surprised. We went towards closing time so they even offered complimentary bagels and pastries. The hot tea selection is great.

I like it here and will definitely go back. The food is always fresh, the service is great and they don't make you feel rushed. You can stay as long as you like. The manager checks on you.

I stop in here on occasion for lunch. The food, to me, is in line with Panera Bread or Cosi. It gets quite busy at lunch time so plan to wait in line if your stopping in. The food is good and they do make it seem like a local place with pictures and art from the area on the walls. Indoor and outdoor seating, tables, booths. Volume can get loud as it is one big room. Free refills on drinks. Food is served reasonably fast. I haven't tried any of the desserts but they do look pretty good.

I ordered the 'Morning Rush' which is a bagel and coffee. The title of the item makes it seems like it's something this store can whip up fast--very fast. It's simply a bagel that needs to be toasted w/ cream cheese on the side. If I went to Manhattan Bagel, I'd be in and out in 3 minutes. Meanwhile, at CB, I waited 14 minutes from the time I placed my order until I received it. Granted, it was definitely a 'rush' in there, but how can they not get the simple orders taken care of quickly? Unfortunately, insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting different results--I've been here before, at the same store, and gotten similar service. CB is an ideal place for me to stop by for breakfast or lunch, but I've lost confidence in this particular store.

We ordered two simple things. Both the same salad, one with double chicken. We asked for only one variance and that was the dressing on the side. Not only did they mix it in and mix A LOT in, they didn't include the Granny Smith apples that were supposed to come with it. Did they even bother to tell us? No. When I went to the counter and asked "so you didn't have the apples and you just didn't bother to tell us, nor did you put the dressing on the side?", "oh, well I guess we can remake it".. That was the extent of our conversation. If we ONLY asked for one thing, where lied the difficulty? Why couldn't you simply tell is you didn't have apples. Too many kids behind the counter laughing and joking and the customer service is failing miserably... -J

I was going to have lunch here but found it a little to loud for me. The sound echos and found the set up of the tables a little uninviting. I will say that it was pretty clean, which is a big thing for me, and found the coffee tasty. It was hot and fresh, the coffee station was neat and clean with not sugar mess to make the station sticky. If the set up was a little different, wasn't so loud and a little cramped I would have stayed.

It's okay here. I really kind of expected more. The food tastes like something I whipped up at home, and there's always a massive line. It certainly isn't bad, and works well for a quick bite on a lunch break, but I wouldn't say it's any better than Panera-- probably worse, if I'm being honest. There are better options for the money.

Stay away. After a lengthy wait... I was served half of my sandwich on a very dirty plate (see pic). The server was laughing as he brought it to me (was obviously embarrassed). He told me the other half will be out when it's made. When I asked to speak to the manager she came from behind the line and didn't find an issue with my order. She sharply said she would remake the sandwich. After a short wait it came out ... Drenched in butter. Will never return. Sad because it is very nice inside.

Our family enjoys the food here. Friendly staff. Good iced tea. Excellent soups. Occasionally I feel the sandwiches are a bit skimpy, but other times they are not, so they could work s bit in consistency there. I love the Sante Fe Chicken Salad and the loaded potato soup. Chicken pomodori sandwich is good when it is made well.

Our family loves the corner bakery. It's an easy place to take the kids. You get a lot of food for your money and it tastes great.

Not a big fan. The mac and cheese was pretty watery with little to no cheese flavor. The lemon bar was way way too sweet, I couldn't even finish it (and I have a major sweet tooth). And the tomato mozzarella sandwich was really disappointing. Their egg scramblers are pretty good. Major points off for customer service. The last time I went in the cashier barely looked at me, didn't smile at all and acted like I was inconveniencing her by placing an order.

I haven't been to this franchise in a few years, but I do like it every time I come. I've had salads, paninis, sandwiches, and I have to say that I don't recall a time that I was let down. I like the way this place is setup. It's kind of like chipotle but with american food. There's a self serve fountain drink station, and the food (if you're eating there) is brought to you by the number ticket they give you (which you put on a card holder so the server can find your) Though it's not gourmet or anything like that, it IS a decent place to grab breakfast or lunch.

I eat here often. Great for a quick cup of coffee, lunch or a dinner. The food is consistent, as is the coffee. Staff is friendly, too. This is not an elegant restaurant, and it is not meant to be. Every time that I have been there, I've been satisfied with my meal. Service is usually quick, they bring out your food, you eat and away you go. You even have the latitude to linger, chit chat - it's a great place to chill out with a friend, colleague, partner, etc.

I ordered to-go from Corner Bakery this morning. I placed my order online for pick up at this location and approved a charge for $14.80 to my credit card. When I got the confirmation email and went to pick up my meals, I was told the total was $17.99 because some locations have higher charges for certain items - despite the fact that I selected my location before ordering. So, they have now illegally charged my credit card for an amount I didn't authorize because they decided to tack on undisclosed charges. The food was clearly microwaved and poor quality - frankly I think even Denny's can make better scrambled eggs.

Went for lunch and I asked waitress if dressing had any seafood or anchovies and she said no. I asked her to verify and she said OK. She never returned, I then saw manager and asked him to do the same. He came back and said it indeed had anchovies in the dressing. There was an apology and offer for another salad. Too late, i had a few forkfuls, I then took 2 Benadryl ruined my day......... This Restsuramt should be aware of food allergies. It could have ended me in hospital.

I enjoy their food. It's not bad. RANT: The only thing I didn't like is that they send out a birthday email where apparently you have to click a separate link to get to the actual coupon for a free baked good coupon. Now, I should of looked over the email closely, but let's get real, no one has time for that when it comes to typical coupon emails. It should be right in front of you and printable immediately in its original format, without going to another separate link. I gave the email to this guy, and he basically was like nope, you ain't getting your free birthday treat and continued on his way with whatever he had to do. C'mon! I knew that someone at that place could of easily override the register to plug in the correct coupon code, that would of been good customer service, because hello it's my birthday? (unless every email coupon has a different code, which doesn't make sense because it's not like I'm the only one with a birthday on that particular month, so why do more unnecessary work by sending birthday email coupons with separate register codes?) I don't know, I'm thinking way too much into this, but I'm just saying it would of been nice if the guy just let it slide since obviously I printed the original email out and showed it to him before he rejected it. WHATEVER. I'll still come here again whenever I'm near the area meeting with friend's, but don't expect anybody to go the extra mile in customer service. This place is just not that sort of place, even though the anterior and interior feel like it should be.

The food here is delicious! I have only eaten breakfast and salads (for lunch) here, so I can't comment on the pastas/sandwiches. However, the salads are delicious and the swiss chilled oatmeal is AMAZING!!!!! The baked goods look divine, too, but I've never indulged in them. During breakfast and lunchtime, they tend to be very crowded, but they are really speedy in delivering food to you. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the prices are slightly high for the area.

This place is to Starbucks what Five Guys is to Wendy's. The coffee is cheap, rich, and the cups bottomless. There are no trendy baristas, just professional, unpretentious, cheerful staff who could've been hired for looks alone, except they actually know what they're doing too. I'm on a no-carb diet so I had to swear off the muffins as big as a baby's head (the banana ones had slices of banana baked into the top!), the cinnamon buns the size of catcher's mitts, or the lemon bars whose perky little sign will grab you by the collar from across the airy-yet-cozy room that will hold a good crowd without feeling crowded. The lunches looked equally oversized and homemade, and everyone was saying "Mmm. Mmm, mmm mmm." I felt deprived, but happy for them. Later I discovered their scrambled-egg selections. Avocado? Bacon? I'll be back. Music is sophisticated, fun, and unobtrusive enough to carry on a conversation without shouting. Bonus girl points: it's next door to a swanky waxing studio and the cosmetics playland called Ulta. This is the perfect date. Once you've reassured her that she is such a toothpick she *deserves* that sticky bun, send her off on a caffeine and sugar buzz to Ulta while you nurse another cup of Corner coffee, listen to Diana Krall, surf their superfast internet, and gaze at the lovely young things behind the counter. Sounds like mutual bliss to me.

I think four stars is optimistically fair for this location. My wife and I have visited multiple times and have always enjoyed our food. The atmosphere is nice and the outside seating can be pleasant in the spring or fall. It's a hybrid fast food/service restaurant. You order and fill your own drinks but the food is delivered to your table and when you are finished you can leave your food on the table. Minus one star for price. We usually are close to $20 for the two of us which seems a bit high for a sandwich with chips.

    (4)
  • Dena B.

My 5 year old and I go here every Tuesday after we run some errands. Good place. Similar to Panera Bread, but way better. Minus one star for the price. We usually hit the $20 mark for an adult sandwich combo and childs combo. Plus, I rarely give 5 stars:)

Stopped in with coworkers prior to a business meeting. Great lunch time service, fast and quick food from the grill. I got a panini of some sort that I remember was delicious. Only observation of something I think they need to do a little better at is not trying to have their dining area folks trying to swipe your plates every time you take a breath. It seemed to me that if you were not actively shoveling food into your pie-hole as fast as they liked, they wanted to clean up for you even if you had lots of food remaining. You cannot rush people like that and expect them to be happy and want to return. Anyways, they deserve four stars due to good food, and efficient service, but that crazy clean-up thing needs some improvement.

This place is as good, if not better, than Panera or Atlanta Bread. Great lunch stop, but they also do breakfast and lunch. Bakery doesn't seem as big as the others, but the cookies and cakes do look yummy. I got a bread bowl of chili. Bread bowls are never as big as I expect, but it was really tasty. I had break with every single scoop of my chili, which is exactly what I was looking for. Bread was super fluffy and flavorful. Chili was solid in its own rite. My wife got a mixed green salad, which she enjoyed. Had some crazy big croutons. We split a Chicken Pomodori panini, which has basil, spinach, tomatoes, cheese, and a pesto mayo. I absolutely loved it. One of those times when I was upset that I had to share with my wife. Would love to go back if I was in the area again, or try another location. All that with two fountain drinks for $22. Not too bad. One negative note, the hibiscus lemonade is not as good as it sounds. Basically flowery bitterness. Weird haha. Get the lemonade or one of the teas.

Nothing special but a good alternative to Panera. And they have pasta! We had: Chicken Carbonara pasta and the Smoked Turkey Cobb on Brioche Flatbread. I had the pasta and it was pretty good for $8. Served with a panini'd garlic bread, there was tons of chicken, bacon and peas. I also had a bite of the flatbread sandwich and it was delish. Fresh bread and lots of turkey. After dinner we brought home little treats, red velvet whoopie pie for me, macadamia nut cookie for T. The red velvet cake on the whoopie pie was a little dry around the edges but the icing was SO good and rich and cream cheese-y. I didn't try the cookie but there were only crumbs left so I'm thinking it was a success. A great lunch spot!

Been here twice, was disappointed both times. First time had the Anaheim breakfast sandwich which was about as "Anaheim" as Toledo, Ohio. Next tried the steel-cut oatmeal. It was glop. I asked for it dry, which seemed to confuse the girl taking the order. It came runny and disgusting. Air-pot coffee is weak. Back to Panera or Cosi, I think.

My mom and I come here whenever we shop at Willow Grove Mall instead of eating in their food court. I was told this place was "kind of" like Panera Bread, which I've never liked. So I had low expectations for Corner Bakery. But I was pleasantly surprised. I like this place quite a lot. I'm honestly not interested in any of the items on their breakfast menu, but I've really liked all the paninis, sandwiches, and little bakery cakes I've had. It's a fun little atmosphere, as others have said. Servers bring your food over and come around to ask if you need anything, but other than that you're on your own, which I like. I've never been let down by the food, atmosphere, or the service. I look forward to coming here. It is pretty overpriced, though. That's the only problem I have with this place.

Great spot to go for a nice quite breakfast or lunch. The sandwhiches are tasty, the pasta was great and the breakfast is very good too. They are quick and conviently located. I may have to try their coffee.

I stop in here often to pick up some pumpkin muffins for my mom she is a big fan of these moist delicious muffin or the crumb cake I will usually grab a power panini which is great calorie wise because I usually add a cinnamon pecan rugalach which totally offsets the lower calorie panini. At any rate they have a great selection baked goods in addition to the various breakfast, lunch and dinner menu items. Great place for a quick bite if you are out shopping or doing errands and just want to unwind for a bit. It also has WI-FI. Baked items are always nice to take to someone's house over the holidays etc.

I was really craving a salad with grilled chicken this Saturday so I figured I would stop into the Corner Bakery. I ordered the pick two and got the Caesar salad and the Pesto Chicken on Ciabbata. Both were yummy. I would definitely come here again for a quick lunch

Great place to meet someone for lunch. Nothing fancy, but the sandwiches are a-ok! Soups are just eh. And it is a bit pricey for what it is. But, I understand that because you are after all, not tipping the wait staff that serves and cleans up the tables. Modeled after Panera breads, this place does a kick ass lunch biz for work folks. The desserts look good, but I have never tried them. Also, the breads look good too.

The people who posted reviews to this store are "class A" D-bags. These idiots think that they since they are shelling out $2 for a muffin it should be the best muffin ever created. (Incidentally, the CB Chocolate muffin is crazy good.) Corner Bakery is an upscale casual dining option, ie better than a McDonalds and on par with a Panera Bread. The CB's DC Chicken Salad, all pasta options, salads and their Chocolate Crumb muffin (again, simply out of this world) rock. Sure, it's not some fancy French patisserie, but for upscale casual it more than fits the bill.

  • Colleen M.

I've been to this chain in the past, and I remembered I liked the Corner Bakery I ate at in Chicago. So when I saw one popped up in Willow Grove, I thought I would give it a try. The food was eh. I got eggs scrambled with peppers and potatoes and I felt like there was more peppers than actual egg in my meal. But it was ok. On the way out I grabbed a brownie, which was good once I let it thaw for a bit. It was obviously taken right from the freezer and put out for purchase. My grandma was especially confused by this place, as she was expecting a bakery, which I thought was funny. With a Baja Fresh and a Peace a Pizza right there in the same shopping center, I feel like there are better options out there for a quick bite.

Was here on saturday for a lunch with my BFF, i had never been it was her idea to stop there, i had passed it a bunch of times before seeing as i live like 5 mins away. They have good soup and i got the santa fe salad and loved it, i like that you can mix and match salads and soup or sandwiches, and get half a sandwich or salad, i got a bowl of soup and it was huge, next time ill just get the cup. Its a comfy quite place and we got to catch up and talk seeing as we stayed for a little over 3 hours! Time flys , and it wasnt really too busy so i didnt feel bad sitting there Free refills on drink! or i might just have stolen some dr pepper : )

Bracing for a cloudy day I headed into Corner Bakery for a cafeine fix and some warm breakfast. I let the crowded parking lot tell me I had made a good choice and was pleasantly surprised to walk into the warm dining room. I ordered their commuter croissant which was egg, cheese and tomato minus the bacon, a pastry and a large cup of coffee. My sandwich was piping hot, my coffee was nice and strong and the pastry was sweet and delicious. I took my time, hopped onto the free wi-fi for a few and left feeling a bit more prepared to face my day.

Went to the Corner Bakery Cafe for the first time today. Overall it was very good with an interesting concept. Stand in line. Order your food and drinks. Go to the counter that has numerous tea, coffee, and beverage selections. And don't forget your condiments. Find a seat. Put your number in the holder on the table. And the server brings your food. Wifie did one of the Mom's sandwiches. The tuna salad on harvest bread with swiss cheese (choices of cheese) which comes with leaf lettuce, plum tomatoes, shredded carrots. They give you a generous side of chips (kettle type which I love) and a pickle. I chose the meatball panini with provolone on sour dough (a new addition) that also comes with the chips and a pickle. Very good. Very courteous servers and counter help. And what I was most impressed with was how clean the place was. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner my wife and I are looking forward to our next visit.

Today I had breakfast at corner bakery, and it was pretty good. I had the ham and Swiss panini and it was overall very good. The ham was very moist and I didn't get any feeling that it was frozen. The eggs were very well cooked and the cheese melted perfectly. I also got a chocolate muffin and the top was a little crummy (breadcrumbs) for my taste but the bottom, fantastic! I would also like to recommend the iced cookie. It was very soft, and the icing was amazing.

I really like corner bakery cafe! They have a ton of veg friendly options and they are all delicious! My fav is the lentil soup but it's only available wed-sat. Bummer! The soup is also the quickest option if you're in a hurry. They also have veg friendly sandwiches and salads, but there salads have yet to impress me! Overall a good little lunch place but don't expect to be wowed.

I'm disappointed. I was looking for a local coffee shop and ended up purchasing breakfast and espresso from a corporate chain. On top of that, the espresso tasted burnt.

Have not visited in quite some time, stopped by for a quick lunch a few weeks ago. Lots of new sandwich choices and combo meals. Looks like lots of new bakery selections too, but I did my best to stay away, because I am easil swayed by sweets! Loved my sandwich choice, which was chicken on a nice fresh baguette with buffalo mozzarella and tomatoe with a pesto aoili. Dining companian had the same buffalo mozarella on the baguette, except it came with arugula and tomato. I we each shared our sandwiches and we loved both of them. Corner Bakery is a consistent winner for me in terms of freshness, quality and value. Restaurants are also well maintained, and wait staff is helpful and pleasant. My only question/comment -- they seem to have SO many people working there, and it always appears like a frantic chaotic scene behind the counter, even if the restarant is empty. What's up with that?
