Completely appalled by the food that was served. I usually assume yelp reviews are pretty accurate so seeing this BBQ place with so many stars I was very excited. The food that was served was disgusting. To the point where it was inedible. EVERYTHING they gave us was over salted. I mean over salted to the point where I was worried about my cholesterol after each bite. I would never go to this place again. You could not even pay me. To go to this place.

First off, being vegetarian, I wasn't sure I'd be able to find Anything to eat. However, I absolutely love the collard greens, baked beans (w/o bacon) Mac and cheese, corn on the cob and more! All my friends and family who do eat meat were in "heaven" with the brisket, pulled pork and ribs! We always visit anytime when in the area. Highly recommended!

The food was good but listening too the cook yell at a waitress is not what I like to hear when I'm ordering my food

New menu items like the paninis are amazing! The brisket is still the best, high quality bbq. (There HAS to be some fat in great bbq brisket, unless your bbq roots are based on McRibs) Even some of the sides (like the fries) are better now. (And who is complaining that there is pizza on the menu? Were you forced to order pizza? I'd call the police, not complain on Yelp.) Who would think amazing bbq would be in Horsham, PA, in a small strip mall, run by a nice Italian man!

Stopped by the other day, there were 7 customers sitting in the dining room, did not seem very busy. I ordered 3 vegetable sides, figuring that would not take very long, almost 15 minutes. Quality was fair, cooks seemed disheveled at best. There seems to be an identity crisis as to whether to be a bbq joint or a pizza parlor. Lots of different BBQ sauces on deck, nothing to write home about. One and done - JV out.

Enough with the silliness. I bleed inside because all I see is 4 star reviews. This place is incredible, the buffet is quite good for $20 but clearly they put stuff from the previous day that did not sell... BUT LEFT OVERS TASTE BETTER!!&/?):& Besides the great wings, ribs and sausage, these guys make an incredible set of not-boring sauces and they are remarkably good. I can't wait to drive by again...

My husband and I are here for date night. It was one of our favorite meals. I ordered the pulled pork panini which was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. My husband had the platter with ribs, brisket, mac n cheese and beans. All of the meat was moist, perfect flavoring. We will definitely be back.

The phrase "don't judge a book by it's cover" rings true here. The strip mall center that BBQ BBQ is located in looks dated and worn, not in a good way. It's unfortunately something you probably wouldn't even notice unless you were looking for it. In fact, we accidentally drove straight past it. BUT THANK GOODNESS WE TURNED AROUND. My lovely boyfriend knew I was craving a pulled pork sandwich, and this place followed through. The Pulled Pork Panini turned out absolutely incredible. A large serving, for roughly $9. The BBQ sauce options were a nice touch and made the evening more interesting, as we took small cups of each and tried them all! The Apple Cider BBQ sauce was the perfect mouthwatering touch to my pulled pork. I believe we worked directly with the Manager, who clearly loves what he does, and really enjoys working with his guests. He made us feel right at home, letting us know to look through the menu and let him know when we were ready to put in an order. He was suggestive with menu options to make sure that we were going to enjoy everything. You do pay first, so if you are paying with a card, I would recommend at least putting a small tip on, since they do bring the food out to your table once it is done. He checked in once with us to see if we liked everything, and thanked us for coming by when we were leaving. Honestly, it was a great experience. It was a little bit expensive- my date's entree came to roughly $15, but came with a pile of Brisket (amazing), Mac & Cheese, and one other side. We both think it was absolutely worth it, and I look forward to going to BBQ BBQ again some time!

I'm not a huge BBQ food fan, but this place does hit the spot. The smokestack is the way to go - it's their version of a panini which is about the size of a small pizza!! Their housemade bread was fresh and the meats inside tasted great. They have a huge selection of different types of barbecue sauces (they also look house made), so you will surely find a flavor you like. The service is a blend of fast food and table service - you order and pay at the counter, and then seat yourself. They will bring your order to your table when ready. So good for groups if you aren't all ready to order at the same time! I will be back to try their pizza, since they have a brick oven on premise! They also offer a BBQ buffet dinner on select nights for $20. I just couldn't eat $20 worth - my $10 lunch special for a smoke stack panini, side and a soda was more than enough food! BONUS - this place is also byob!

This place is next to a very nice Indian restaurant, Spice 2nite. I could see how fans of Indian cuisine would choose that over BBQ BBQ but let me tell you if you want a surprisingly good meal, this is your place. I had a BBQ pork sandwich and fries. Quality food and large choice of different BBQ sauce (surprising!). Also, I must say the customer service was outstanding too. Me and my friends watched the 76ers lose here.

"Unexpectedly good" is what I told the employee at BBQ BBQ when he asked how our food was, and I didn't mean it as a backhanded compliment. The place doesn't look like much from the outside. In fact, I even asked mah bae if she wanted to go someplace fancier. We were on a weekend getaway to romantic Horsham, PA, after all, why shouldn't we dine somewhere fancy? But no, I was told that looks weren't everything (I know my girlfriend feels that way because she's with me) and we went inside. The interior is very much like a pizzeria. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that it used to be one, so similar is the layout. Unlike a lot of pizzerias, however, BBQ BBQ is very clean and actually has an appealingly funky décor, if you like decors in restaurants. Me, I like the food, so I got right down to it and ordered the rope sausage entrée with mashed sweet potatoes and seasoned green beans, and hushpuppies for an appetizer. My companion wanted pulled pork with spinach and mashed sweet potatoes. The food came out very quickly, and I for one loved the spicy sausages. Amazing texture, taste, and appearance. There's nothing like some good burnt sausage. The mashed sweet potatoes came with tiny marshmallows, but other than that they were a bit tasteless. That was only low point of the meal, however. I ate not only my entrée but also the majority of my girlfriend's, including her sides. It was all extremely good, especially the vegetables. The pulled pork was a little cold when I got around to it but very on point nonetheless. Ditto the hushpuppies, which I actually chased my meal with, but those sausages had looked too appealing to not eat first. During all of this, the staff was friendly and helpful but not obtrusive. I'm not sure if this is the standard operating procedure there but we bussed our own dishes, and they seemed grateful. A word about the price. I feel like the food was verging on overpriced at $35.00 plus tip for two entrees, sodas, and an appetizer. While at the end of the day we had a great experience, I feel like the prices could be lower. Maybe if they included drinks with the entrees? Overall, I feel like I discovered a hidden gem. I'm in the area quite often and my dinner was so good that I can't wait to head back and try them again.

We did take out for our walking dead party. They had what we were looking for. Ribs and an "Aporkalypse Pie". Also got wings and some sides. Everything was really good. They were understaffed and I had to wait a little longer than normal but the owner recognized that and was nice enough to give a discount and upsize the pizza. The inside was very clean and a nice selection of custom sauces. Definitely would go back. Only complaint was sides were a bit on the small side but price was acceptable.

We have been waiting for a good BBQ place to come around. And then I discovered BBQ BBQ. They have a great brisket sandwich! Love it! Today my husband got the brisket sandwich and he felt it was a bit fatty, he told the owner and he was great! He explained that sometimes if it is sliced too thick, it can get fatty. Then he have him a new sandwich! That is a great business man!

I have eaten here 3 times since moving to the area a month ago. Have to imagine there aren't many options aside from pizza places on busy 611, aside from the few local bars which I love (I also work in the area). I stumbled on this place because I was driving by and saw the little strip mall where it rests. I honestly wasn't expecting much and I don't eat beef or pork so my options are limited. I have to admit I was surprised though. I've had the pulled chicken and half chicken which were great the times I had them. No complaints at all. My boyfriend has had the chicken wings, fries, onion rings, and pulled pork (I believe it was the pulled pork). He wasn't impressed but the chicken wings, but they were good. Nothing to write home about. Fries and onion rings we're typical--these weren't good or bad. He did like his sandwich whichever meat it was. I have found that the meats they make here are excellent, but the side items and other things may need some tweaking and improvements. We had friends over and ate from here during one of the orders and I recall they liked the meats and not the sides. I too have not been impressed but the sides I've gotten, with the exception of the close slaw and I did like the garlic mashed potatoes. Lastly, the pizza. Who knew they had pizza?? This was appealing to me because they have gluten free pizza dough! I recently am transition to gluten free. I tried it last night and it was actually good. I had to remove all prior pizza knowledge and judgements. The dough ends up very thin become of the lack of gluten, but it doesn't taste bad. I expected cardboard and it was very much not a cardboard taste. The sauce was good very usual and cheese was good. My only suggestion or learning experience is I would possibly ask for less sauce next time. I noticed that the dough did become soft and kind of mushy after sitting. I'm not sure if it was the sauce or what, but if I get it again I will request less sauce as a test. Overall, I was not disappointed in the gluten free pizza. After three visits to BBQ BBQ I would go again. I have recommended to my coworkers and they're set to order. Hopefully, they like them as much as I do

I've only ever eaten here twice, but not for lack of trying. We've called on a Friday or Saturday night to order takeout, three times over the last few months, but they refuse to answer their phone during business hours! If you show up, the place is either closed (during business hours), or the line is so long, it's out the door. The owner doesn't know, or care a thing about customer service, and you can tell by the employees attitudes (they don't give a crap!) As far as the food goes, this might be some of the best brisket I've ever had in the northeast, but to get it, you will need a lot of patience and perseverance. Don't waste your time.

Was traveling here for work and found this place while looking for lunch. The sandwiches are great. I had the brisket. The brioche roll was great and really made the sandwich! My coworker had the pulled pork and really liked it too.

Omfg. The food here is amazing. Well the BBQ is; I didn't try the pizza. I don't understand my some reviews complain that they sell pizza too, especially since the complaint isn't about the pizza. Back to the review about the near spiritual experience I had with this grub. I got the the double meat combo because why choose between ribs and brisket if I can have both. The ribs were tender, meaty, and perfectly seasoned. Note: they do have a St. Louis style dry rub and a perfect smidge of sauce, which to me is exactly how ribs should be made/served. The brisket tasted as though it was made by the hand of God. Perfectly moist, nice amount of bark, just the right amount of fat to ensure a good tender piece of meat. Now, I'm actually not a fan of meat fat, but I do like wet cut, which I got. In case you're wondering, I just pick the meat from fat and then give it to whomever wants it. This time it was my pooch, who is only allowed a teeeeeny nib of human food. After her small taste she sat at my feet, licking her chops in satisfaction, waiting and praying for some to drop. Sorry kiddo, it's all going down my gullet. For my sides I got mac & cheese and garlic mashed potatoes. The style of the mac is homemade in a pot, not baked and was as cheesy as the grin on my face while I ate it. The potatoes had just the right amount of roasted garlic flavor to compliment the rest of meal, leaving my mouth happy and able to taste the individual flavors of the rest of the food. I was only able to have a bite of the cornbread since I was full of everything I already described. It was moist and tasted like cornbread, which may seem obvious, but some cornbread nowadays is full of fillers and flavorless. The best part for this captain cheapo is that I will certainly get at least 3 meals out of my order unless my partner gorges on it when I'm not looking. He's a highly skilled food thief and BBQBBQ is certainly worth him facing my wrath for.

Excellent bar-b-que. The real deal as you can tell the meats were smoked and not just cooked with sauce slathered on. I had the rib and brisket combo and wifey had the chicken. Both meals were A-1. Very casual. You order at the counter and they bring it to you when ready, so don't expect much ambiance.

Best BBQ around. Have tried a few things and they taste very good. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for BBQ. I've never sat down and ate inside but their take out is quick and fair priced.

I'd avoid this place. The meats are good, but everything else sucks. Also, they have an identity crisis as a restaurant. Why are you serving pizza if you are a bbq place? bbq is an American food, so why is the Italian news on the main television? I don't speak Italian...most Americans going into an American themed bbq place also don't speak Italian. Don't want to sound like a redneck bigot, but wtf?!?! Sounds like this guy wanted to open a pizza place but only after he learned how to make good American smoked bbq meats. Also, I did not receive my free beer with purchase of entree as advertised. The Mac and cheese was runny and tasted more bland than Kraft Mac and cheese. The pasta in the Mac and cheese (which is assume an Italian would cook to perfection) was like eating baby mush. The corn bread was the size of a fifty cent piece...also bland. $18 is what I paid for this highly disappointing meal.

I am thrilled to get a BBQ place in Horsham. I am even more thrilled that it turned out to have exceptionally great food! The ribs and pulled pork were my favorite. When I go back I will be getting the 4 meat platter but just get an extra portion of those two. I agree with the other 2 comments about the rub on the ribs, it was excellent. They had a great smokey flavor that didn't overpower or cover up the taste of the meat. My favorite side sauce was the pennsyltucky(?spelling?) sauce. I will be going again very soon.

In town for my bfs job and we Ordered some take out for the night and we got two combos. I got the brisket, pulled pork and ribs with a side of garlic mash and Mac and cheese. The brisket I might as well call fat because there was barely any meat. The pulled pork was the best meat in this pl in my opinion not too dry and good flavor. The ribs looked so good but to my disappointment were completely rare on the inside. The Mac and cheese was ok but the added surprise was the taste of goldfish sprinkled at the top as Breading? So random but to be honest of could've been worse. My favorite part of the whole meal was the mild wings because they tasted fine and were pretty big and my garlic mash because well they just took boxed mash and added way too much garlic but that's the way I like it! So my bf saw these huge cookies and had to have something sweet I warned him that it didn't trust them and he got one anyway. To his surprise they gave him two for the price of one. Of course I was right I took a bite and spit it out, it tasted like they had been there for at least 2 weeks it's always too good to be true when you get two for the price of one. Oh and I almost forgot about the corn bread because it was that bad it tasted like a free muffin you get at continental breakfast but those are so much better!I did not enjoy this at all but like my bf said what do you expect from a random bbq spot in pa.

This place is GREAT!! The brisket and ribs are unbelievable. It's great having a bbq place in the area that serves consistently delicious meals. I have been there several times and have been more that impressed with the delicious food and excellent customer service. If you haven't tried bbq bbq yet, do yourself a favor and stop wasting time.

BBQ BBQ has the BEST smoked wings I've ever had. They're always jumbo, full of flavor and served hot, even when we have them delivered. Try them with a mix of the dry rub and "way too hot" sauce. The staff is always courteous, too. I love this place.

I want to give this more but things stand out that really did not make us happy tonight. Pulled chicken contained bones and skins. Corn was bad, soggy and bland. Green beans, mac and cheese were good and so were the sauces. Pulled pork was good as well. For the price we paid it was definitely not worth the money I spent.

We ate here a few weeks ago. We ordered ribs, brisket, chicken, and pulled pork. Our sides were Mac and cheese, spinach, and cole slaw. Everything was delicious!!! The ribs are made with a dried rub so the meat is a little dry but that is how they are suppose to be, just warning the non regular rib eaters :)! The pulled pork was my favorite though! The sauce and tenderness was to die for! Chicken and brisket was pretty good too! The Mac and cheese was soooooo good! We thought the service was fine. It was a weekend night and they kept up with the pace. Prices are reasonable because you get large portions! I can't wait to go back!!!

My hubby and I ate dinner here last night. We expected better food for the price. It cost us $33.00 and we didn't even have entrees. I got a pulled chicken sandwich on brioche toast with smoked mozzarella cheese. The chicken tasted OK but it was kind of dry. I guess I should have put some extra sauce on my sandwich. The french fries were crispy and flavorful. My husband got a brisket sandwich on brioche toast with mozzarella cheese, a side of cole slaw and an order of dry rub wings. The brisket was so fatty that my husband left most of the sandwich uneaten. The cole slaw was tasty but the dry rub wings were overcooked and dry. They looked burnt to me... The only other BBQ place in the area is in Jenkintown so we will keep BBQ BBQ in mind. I don't think we'll be eating here too often though.

I guess because we've eaten really good barbecue, we had higher expectations than the other reviewers, but my family wouldn't eat any of it. Ribs dry and tough, not juicy and flavorful- pulled pork not shredded -almost ground into mush - This is a pizza place that added BBQ and changed the name. Won't go back!

  • Layne S.

Get the sausage! So good! The brisket and ribs are good too. Their staff is very friendly and their prices are well, ok. This kind of real smoked BBQ is not going to be cheap so don't expect mountains of food for a bargain price. Oh yeah- definitely get the string beans as a side dish. Nice and garlicky.

Fantastic ribs. I asked the owner two or the times if they had wheat or sugar in the rubs and he repeatedly confirmed no. They were so good! I'm going back without question

So I saw this place driving by and I looooove me some BBQ so I had to stop. Let me start by saying that in this area it is really really hard to find good BBQ. But this isn't just good BBQ it is GREAT BBQ. I also appreciate the fact that the menu offers a double and triple sampler platter. Too many BBQ restaurants don't offer this for whatever reason, but I always want to try at least 3 meats, you know the staples pulled pork, brisket, and of course ribs. Now, as far as the food goes, usually you get ok pulled pork, not too bad brisket, and ribs that usually piss me off because a lot of bbq joints think that if they cook the hell out of the rib until the meat is "fall off the bone" they have achieved something. This couldn't be further from the truth. It is supposed to have a slight pull and shouldn't be overcooked to death. If it's done right you can still get that tenderness without losing taste and having a rib that is mushy. BBQ BBQ did this, I was soooo happy because like I said most places don't know what they are doing and ribs should be their first focus in my mind, because what is the #1 food that comes to mind when you think of BBQ? Ribs of course. And their rub tasted great too! The pulled pork was a great tasting perfectly cooked pork. Again, they nailed it on this as well so I was happy. My only criticism here was not enough sauce. But this was my first time there and I don't know if that is something you request or what. But I didn't see any containers on the tables to add but maybe I missed them. The brisket was really good. Out of the 3 this was the least favorite of my plate. Now it was still good, but a little tough and again not very much sauce. I don't drown my meat in sauce as the meat should speak for itself, but I do like a little for flavor, but not much was there. The platter came with 3 sides, 2 of which I gave to my wife, the spinach and the mac and cheese. She obsessed over both which is a rare thing because she is a chef and is very critical of any food she buys. So that is saying a lot in itself. The last was the coleslaw, good, but for some reason the portion was tiny. Not sure why, but I expected the same size as the other 2 sides. Finally, I am super happy that a real BBQ restaurant has opened up in my area. I will absolutely be visiting again and again. I just hope it stays as that location seems to turn over restaurants quite a bit. So if you're reading this, go try it and keep them in business please!

My husband and I were en route to Wing Lee when we spotted this new BBQ restaurant and decided to give it a try. The ribs have a wonderful crust on them that is just so delicious, and they are tender and moist. You don't want them falling off the bone because those are overcooked, and these were really good. The sloppy joes are really tasty. The wings are also outstanding. I recommend getting them dry and adding whatever sauce you'd like, but they are great naked. Corn bread was also really good. My husband is the brisket guy and he gave them thumbs up. On the sides, we recommend the cole slaw. Next time, I think we'll bring a bottle of Red Zinfandel for the full effect.

Wow. I really was looking forward to trying this place based on the reviews but was extremely disappointed. The brisket was the fattiest piece I've ever had in my life and couldn't finish it. The ribs looked really good but were dry and chewy. The hot sausage was actually ok and worth trying but they left the tie strings on them for whatever reason. The pulled pork was also ok but this place is no where near the reviews they're getting. Maybe some friends posted good ones for them who knows. The corn bread was a little cup cake looking thing and tasted like one. Now to the sides, the baked beans was this weird chili kidney bean concoction that was sweet and spicy. Not good. The cole slaw was ok. They serve pizza there also. Makes no sense. And the ones they had in the case looked like it was from the morning. I'd rather eat fast food. I will not be returning. The meal cost $21.00 what a rip off for the quality and quantity of food you get.

Went last night and ordered 20 wings to go. Place had 5 people working behind counter and 3 customers eating in restaurant. I waited to long for my order, seemed to be a lot of confusion behind counter. Drove 1 block and reached into my bag for a wing and found my order was barely warm. Wings were just ok.

I really didn't know what to expect when I walked into what can only be described as a pizzeria-turned-bbq joint. The smell of delicious meats was evident in the parking lot - good sign! I ordered a half rack with beans and fries. I was really REALLY afraid that the ribs would be chewy, under/overcooked or otherwise lackluster but boy was I completely wrong! These ribs were moist, tender, spicy, and lean. 4 great qualities of perfectly smoked, perfectly seasoned ribs. As an added bonus, the place apparently makes their own variety of bbq sauces. The bbq beans were excellent and were definitely more thought-out than a typical side dish. Honestly, this place (for me, anyways) is right up there with the best BBQ joints in NYC and some of my favorites down south in Atlanta. Some of my coworkers had the brisket which also looked awesome, and they seemed very happy with their meals. I smoke ribs on a 40" smoker and I am not easily impressed but BBQ BBQ has won me over as a customer.

I really want to like this restaurant. I just returned from my 5th visit to BBQ BBQ. Both the kids got the chicken finger kids meal. Good plain old chicken fingers, wish they would offer fruit or apple sauce since neither kid eats fries. In the past they have gotten the kids grilled cheese which is excellent. It is served on a pizza crust bread instead of regular bread. In the past I have ordered the sampler platters and have not had consistent quality. One night the ribs were burnt, like leaving charcoal on your fingers burnt. Other nights the pulled meats are warm outside cold inside. They have changed the mac and cheese and now crush something on top of it which I could do without and the cheese tastes like a premade sauce with a little bit of other cheese thrown in. Tonight I ordered a half rack of ribs. The ribs were cooked well, not burned, good temp. One gripe is the texture of the sauce. It's almost like they used a dry rub then a wet sauce and the sauce lifts the dry rub leaving a pasty almost gritty finish on the top of the ribs. Not pleasant. Also tonight the cornbread was very dry and not like a remember it from the past visits. I won't give up yet but I'm getting close. I really want a good local bbq joint.
