Wow, this pleasant little outdoor experience was really impressive. Great food, friendly and a comfy setting. Our family really enjoyed the homemade food and definitely left full. A nice relief to the overly commercial Hershey World. Really good prices for the great favors, too!

A charming diner-style eatery in Hershey with amazing breakfasts (huge portions too), and friendly staff. Took a shot to grab a brunch/breakfast here prior to a PA wedding we were attending...found there to be a 20-25 minute wait but we were okay eating at the counter too, so the wait was more like 15 minutes. Not a lot of waiting room in front, so you're either standing in the cold, or hanging out in your car. They text you when your table is ready. Massive menu...just so many options. I had the Peasant Omlete, it was delicious and huge...plenty of food for a whole family. My lady had a veggie scramble that looked good too...lots of bread, fruit, potatoes choices to go along with it. All the pancake dishes that came out looked delicious as well, though prob about 5000 calories (note: the pancakes are the size of an SUV tire and covered in sugar, fruit, or whipped cream). Wow. Staff was attentive and friendly, prices are low for the portion size, etc. A definite must eat there stop in Chocolate Town! ENJOY!

Have been in Hershey for 5 days and thought, their was not one good place to eat.then we stumbled onto this place the food was fabulous all fresh made. This is a good one.

Every time I go to Hershey I always want to eat here! They have freshly homemade breads, sauces and baked goods. They have a lot to pick from and brunch options which is a plus!!!

Have been to Hershey Pantry twice and have been very impressed both times with the food.. The meal was great, the appetizer we had the Crab Florentine Dip was amazing.. Entrees for myself and my girlfriend have both been on point.. If you like Key Lime pie.. It is to die for here.. Also the outdoor seating area during the summer is an awesome and comfortable atmosphere.. Also when they ask you about bread I would say to get the chocolate bread.. You won't be disappointed.. Needless to say we will be coming back on the regular.. Heard that breakfast is where they really shine so I will have to check it out

Really enjoyed my experience at this place. Randomly decided to drop in late on a Saturday morning. They were totally packed with lines out the door. I figured there would probably be an insane wait time. But, the very nice hostess took down my info and apologetically let me know it'd be a 30 min wait. This was much better than I expected. Then, the wait ended up being much shorter (about 15 min max) and I was conveniently notified with a text. I tried their irish cream latte and the artery clogging stuffed french toast. The latte was delicious and oh my goodness that french toast was out of this world. Pretty sure half of the portion was enough calories for me for a day or two. Very friendly service and the food selection looked good. If I have time I'd love to come back again while I'm here.

Food is great. No complaints there. However, the wait staff is really bad at managing their tables. I take my clients there once a week and it's always the same thing. Also, there is a line out the door, around the building and there are 4 tables needing cleaned off. They don't have bus people, the servers clean their own tables. Like I said, the food is great, but a very difficult place to get in and out in less than 2 hours.

I heard this was a great place breakfast and lunch but came for dinner. This was a mistake. I ordered Neptune's seafood the pasta was cooked perfectly as were the scallops but the rest of the dish was poorly executed. The alfredo sauce seized and the shrimp was chewy. So I recommend going with the red sauce if you order this. My side salad was good and the appetizer (sausage & pepper slider) was as well. Service was superb. I will come back again just to try the breakfast which most of these reviews here rave about. Update 8/5/14 came back for breakfast ordered the special peaches and cream strawberry baked oatmeal. It was out of this world and divine! One of the best breakfast items I have ever eaten in my 38 years on this earth! Yes it was that good a 5 star dish. Perfect mixture of sweet tart and hearty. As far as breakfast goes they know what they are doing here. The service was great 2nd time around as well.

Food & service was awesome. Don't pay money for the crap at the park. I had the coconut breaded chicken salad & my buddy had the crab florentine. Absolutely delicious! Everything is fresh. My salad even had fresh strawberries. I was in heaven.

We had a good breakfast here. Louis was a cool guy, he checked on us often and made us feel comfortable.

This is a 4 star restaurant. The restaurant is small but the menu and service are large. We had the Taco Fries and Mexican Salad. Each one was big enough for at least two diners. They only negative I could give was the taco fries would be better served with salsa versus tomatoes. It would help to keep the ground beef moister. Alexis our server was great- responsive and attentive- not hovering. Of course, she couldn't have hovered, the place was packed. Hershey Pantry is not a well kept secret! I would definitely recommend it. Oh, did I mention it was not hard on the pocket book!?!

Best breakfast in Central PA! Long waits, but completely worth it. Stuffed french toast and their rich hot chocolate are among my favorites. Service is great. Seating is tight and limited which leads to longer wait times. Ask about the different daily flavor of cream cheese or meal of the day. Great menu for all ages.

5 stars because of large amount of food, affordable, and fast service. Crowed here thought I wouldn't see my food in long time. Food was here in minutes, don't let a crowded restaurant fool you. The must get is the Hot coco.

Small place but WORTH THE WAIT and DELICIOUS! We sampled many of their amazing menu offerings for dinner: Crab Dip Florentine (chips were slightly stale) Stuffing Waffle with Turkey and Cranberry Roast Beef Panini with Apple and Brie (got the french fries - HIGH upcharge of $3.50! they were "eh") Lemon Pie Pumpkin Milkshake (I was NOT a fan even though I love "pumpkin" flavored things - mu husband seemed to like it though). It was a pleasant dining experience with friendly staff and good atmosphere - WOULD eat there again!

We went here for breakfast based on the motel owner's recommendation. The menu was interesting and the food was good. There was a long wait but I guess it was worth it. Our server, Louis, was excellent.

This is the kind of place that probably existed in droves 40+ years ago: high quality, delicious, simple food that's reasonably priced. Places like this make you feel like a person because the owners seem to actually be paying attention to what they are serving and whether or not people are enjoying it. It's a far cry from the corporate restaurants like TGIFridays, Houlihans, Bennegans, etc. We stayed at the hotel next door to this last summer (2014) and I can't believe I neglected to post a review for Hershey Pantry. The place is very nice inside (but a bit small). The food is just great. It's the kind of place that deserves more attention but part of me wishes it doesn't because it might spoil it.

Hershey Pantry has a fantastic menu filled with fruits and veggies and wonderfully yummy and healthy choices. It's packed with locals, has amazing service and fabulous desserts. The kid menu is also great. We look forward to eating here every summer and especially anticipate the amazing chocolate bread.

I am very disappointed in the service from the restaurant. I ordered takeout so I could eat and relax in the hotel room. Based on the reviews I was excited to try the options. I ordered the salmon pesto and although the salmon was good quality, the order was not correct. I did not get the risotto; I got plain mashed potatoes. Also, there was no trace of spinach in the dish! Good food but missing too much, which disappointed me. And when I called to let them know they said they were out of risotto but failed to mention it? And randomly decide to select what I should have instead? Terrible customer service.

  • Dave S.

I don't get the hype. It's not terrible but we waited a long, long time for a quite ordinary breakfast. Add harried and ruffled service and you could certainly do better elsewhere. We won't be back.

Cute little diner type place but in a much more updated and adorable way. The food was SO FRESH and delicious. The staff was warm and welcoming. I felt confident in my salad selection and my dad got a burger with the most beautiful display of vegetables jutting out. I will definitely be back!

This place was amazing. I went with my girlfriend and i got the chicken Sandwhich. The bread was a very tasty type of ciobotta with spinach leaves and a tasty dressing on it. One of the best sandwhiches i have had. Portions were huge as she got the mexican salad and also loved it. Very great service with a quick, attentive staff that definitely gave a hometown authentic feel to the inside of the restaurant! :)

Had the lasagna, which was great. But then I had a bite of my friends pot roast, which was better, then I had a bite of my other friends shrimp and scallop pasta dish, and I refused to give it back. I was so full I couldn't order desert, so I tasted my friends chocolate cream pie. .. yum!

Haven't tried the regular food at Hershey Pantry but I don't recommend ordering a cake from this place. While the cake itself was a good heavy texture, I've found fuller flavored cake and ganache elsewhere, for less money.

My only complaint about this place is that i don't live close enough to visit it weekly! My husband and I were in the area for a 5k, and before we made our way back home to Philadelphia, we stopped for breakfast at Hershey Pantry. The smell of freshly baked good overtakes you as you enter and then realize you're in just about the cutest restaurant ever. Everyone was very friendly, the service was great from the start. Even though it was busy, we were seated right away. We never order the same thing, but couldn't resist when we saw Cinnamon Bread French Toast on the menu. Incredible. You could tell that the bread was made in house. Light and airy with a delicious cinnamon swirl, and then we topped it with there yummy maple syrup. We wished we could have tried some of the freshly baked goods we saw them preparing at the counter, but we were just to full! Thank you yelp, for helping us find another winner!

Delicious. Stopped here on a whim and it was fantastic. Great service and good and, bonus, you can eat outside! I loved the turkey and brie club and the salads looked amazing too. I can't wait to go back!

Hershey, PA isn't devoid of food choices but variety for someone from NYC can be difficult to satisfy out of the Big Apple. Hershey Pantry isn't anything especially unique but it does standard brunch fare as good as any place in the UWS. The back sunroom is a perfect place to sit. Fresh brewed ice tea was absolutely refreshing. Soy glazed salmon was perfectly cooked and the reuben on dried veggie bread was tasty. Desserts were also a home run and the banana cream pie was standout. There's a lot of fried stuff in Hershey but a trip there should include a meal here.

As always, the pantry never disappoints. I came in on a Friday morning early so I had no wait time. The waitress was very quick and genuinely concerned about the quality of my meal. I had the cinnamon French toast which is quite good... And just like I remember it from when I would come here as a teenager. The pantry will always be a staple in the Hershey community for many years to come

Great food, and service. Polite and well dressed staff. The screened in Porch in the rear is a great place for breakfast! Crayons and kids menus with activities for the little ones keeps them in their seats and occupied while the food is prepared. Five stars because there isn't six!

We had breakfast on New Years Eve day. I usually get the special pancakes, French toast, or oatmeal. This time I tried the southwestern omelette special. Other than black beans there was nothing southwestern about it. It was good but maybe a little southwestern spice, some green chilies, salsa, avocado, and tortillas instead of wheat toast would make it awesome! And southwestern!

The Pantry is the favorite spot to go in town for my wife and I. It is a little tight at times but once you get your food you really do not notice. I often get the tour of Italy with Chicken Parm and the peanut butter or red velvet cake is worth every cent.

  • Phung H.

The food isn't bad, definitely not the best I've had before. I got the cinnamon French toast. It was three big homemade slices. The middle was kinda still soggy. The OJ I got was grocery store tasting, but it came in a frozen mug!! For the amount of food you get, it's decently priced!

Love the breakfast!! Extremely huge plates of food!! Haven't had any lunch or dinner. The prices sky rocket after breakfast. I also wish breakfast could be all day. After 11am there are only a few breakfast items left on the brunch menu and you have to buy everything separately. :(

It was a typical Saturday morning in July in Hershey, mobs of people, children outnumbering adults. The folks at the Pantry were considerate in seating our large group, smiled through our crying two year olds, served us quickly, AND all the food was delicious: fresh, warm, generous. Great start to a day.

I had high hopes for this restaurant based on Yelp reviews and wasn't disappointed. The Cherry Baked Oatmeal was unbelievably good and filling. My hazelnut hot chocolate made the 10 degree weather outside more than bearable. This is a must visit for all who come to Hershey.

Best food in Hershey. Menu has many unique items. My fav is their baked oatmeal w/fruit and sweetened cream cheese...Yum! This mornings is pineapple coconut. While in town I ate diviner twice. The Thai wings were both sweet and spicy. Sundried tomato hummus was yummy. I had the mediteranian salad w/salmon and would def order it again. My wife had the fish taco. It was a huge piece of battered fish in a grilled pita. A huge dessert selection is tempting. Last trip I had the coconut cake and loved it. I will be back soon!

After all the hype, my friend and I were super excited to try this restaurant. We got there and went to the back door, where she told us there was a 45 minute wait. Went around to the front, and guess what? Only a 15 minute wait. We were seated, looked over the menu, and ordered. Our waitress had no recommendations because in her words, she was new and hadn't tried anything. Training, people... Training! It was nearly impossible to get her attention to come back and take our order, but eventually she did. I ordered soup and a burger with mushrooms and onions. My friend ordered stuffed mushrooms and a side of mashed potatoes. The food took forever to come out... But worse? They were out of my soup and she forgot to tell me. So eventually, post salads, I choose another one. Food was OK... Nothing spectacular. Certainly not what I expected with all the hype. In a family of 3 restaurants (Desserts and Irv's are relatives) this falls at the bottom of my list.

We had a late lunch here today. I wanted a light meal so that I could try the desserts. I asked if they just had a tuna salad sandwich. Carmelle, our server said that she didn't think so. They made me one of the best tuna salad sandwiches I have ever had even though it wasn't on the menu. For dessert I had the cherry macaroon pie. Simple and wonderful at the same time. We ate on the porch which was great on a summer afternoon. The service, food and atmosphere made a simple Saturday afternoon lunch memorable. We can't wait to go back to try something else. Super naturally friendly staff! Thanks again.

i had breakfast there this morning. Definitely overpriced for Hershey. The food is just blah. Iced tea was watered down. There was a hair on my eggs when they brought the food to the table. Probably won't go back.

Another wonderful meal at The Pantry. Perfect eggs Benedict Florentine--the hollandaise was lovely and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The potato dumpling soup was right out of my granny's cookbook--perfect comfort food. The fish taco sandwich scored big points; the pita was a perfect change on the traditional flour or corn tortilla.

Went for dinner and breakfast. Ordered prime rib for dinner. The steak was good but wafer thin and came with just waffle fries. With the exception of the constant fly attacks, dinner was okay so we wanted to try breakfast two mornings later. At breakfast the kids' pancakes were large but dry and mealy - they barely touched them. I ordered a western omelette but was served a mushroom ham omelette that was pretty good. Since I had to wait 55 minutes on a Wednesday morning for a table for 4, I didn't have time to wait for them to correct the order. Here's the big tip for parties of three or more: They don't manage tables well. We had a party of two in front of us and when an apparently rare table for four opened, they sat the party of two at it. Then, they asked us if we would cram around a table of 2 when one opened. As the table was absurdly small. We waited 55 minutes for a table for 4. After speaking with the manager, she offered a plethora of excuses - but no apology. She did send over some unsolicited butter covered muffins to our table when we finally were seated - too bad my wife and I eat low carb and the kids don't like things painted in butter.... So, after staring at them in disbelief for a little while, we sent them back. Leave this place and it's mediocre food for the rude locals that don't mind sitting at a table for well over 30 minutes after finishing their meal while there're are obviously people waiting for a table.

Wife and I ate here in February 2915 at the end of our stay in Hershey. This place is a MUST stop for anyone in Hershey. The food was absolutely phenomenal! Amazing pancakes, homemade sticky bun, artisan bread...everything was absolutely perfect. Be warned though...the portions are huge. Be prepared for leftovers.

Was in Hershey briefly. Asked a former Hershey resident where to grab a good breakfast before hitting the road, and this place was the recommendation. Staff was very nice, food was pretty good with a decent portion size. I had the crab florentine and a friend had eggs benedict. We were both full afterward and pleased with our meals. This is a pretty good local spot. They stop serving breakfast at 10:30am which I guess is pretty standard. The food was not out of this world, but I didn't have any of the french toast that people go nuts about either, so I'll have to update the review if that happens. They also have a back sunroom to sit in, which we didn't get a chance to. But that's pretty nice.

Date: 7/19/14 Time: 8:00 p.m. Really I had one of the best meals here. We had an appetizer which was a dip with chips and I really enjoyed it. I also had a burger and fries as well. The food was AWESOME, Service spectacular in this. The server was upbeat and all kinds of smiles. The only reason I knocked them a star is because I ordered the Peanut butter and chocolate cake and the top was cut messed up and felt like I got the scraps of the cake. I would have mentioned it there but after a long day at the park I did not look until I got back to the B&B to see what had happened. Taste was delicious but not the portion I thought was normal.

The Pantry is one of those "must try" places. Whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food is consistently creative and excellent. Their menu has changed a bit over the years, and their prices have increased a fair amount from where they were, but this is still a great place to grab a bite when visiting the sweetest town on earth. Some things you need to watch out for- The atmosphere is very cramped. The restaurant is small, and there's no way around it. This place is tight for groups of more than 4, and is terrible for large groups unless the patio is both empty and open. The place is only ideal for couples to groups of 4, really. Also, the wait staff here is always pretty stressed, and it comes through in the service sometimes (not short or rude, but sometimes rushed or impatient). I worked here in high school, and it seems that not many things have changed from the way they were then. Finally, the portions, generally, are gigantic. You could easily feed 2 on a dinner entree, most of the time, and sandwiches come with enough chips to feed a third-world country. That being said, I come here time and time again when I'm back in central PA for the great breakfasts (the stuffed french toast has always been a favorite), delicious sandwiches (their Corned Beef Reuben is one of the best I've ever had, and the Turkey Cranberry sandwich is phenomenal), and flavorful dinners (Neptune Seafood... heaven). Definitely worth a try if you haven't already.

My FH and I were so stoked to go here for breakfast based on the reviews and the crowd. My fellow reviewers failed me on this one. The pantry itself is a very quaint and charming place with quirky tea kettles and travel mugs displayed on the window ledges for sale. Our waitress seemed nice enough and the menu had interesting offerings. I made my selection based on reading multiple reviews about the egg sandwich on a pretzel roll. Though the portion was huge the soggy sandwich and burned home fries were a bland disappointment. FH and I also shared a cinnamon roll but 1 bite in and we were over it. The roll is ginormous and has about 2 bricks of cream cheese frosting. The really gross part is the frosting had a cloying artificial apple flavor and really tasted off. Our waitress saw the roll was uneaten but didn't acknowledge which makes me think she knew it was nasty. I believe the place is a total tourist trap and I won't be going back.

I live in the area and this was the first time I went to Hershey Pantry, but I will definitely be back! The service was great and I honestly have no complaints. I was looked for a cozy little restaurant and this was the perfect place. The crab dip was excellent and the pork barbecue was easily the best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend stopping if you're in the area!

The wait can be long but I believe the food is worth the wait. I've never had a bad meal here. Breakfasts are the best. I always get the Baked Oatmeal which is year round with seasonal fruits. It's awesome.

The Hershey Pantry is normally one of my favorite spots to eat in hershey. While I enjoy the lunch and dinner menu, their breakfast and brunch is what truly makes the Pantry special. However, my most recent trip to the Pantry left me feeling unsatisfied by the service. We decided to eat on the patio for breakfast. Our waitress was very short with us as if she had somewhere better to be. My food was brought out 5 minutes before my brother's which made it awkward as I politely let my pancakes get cold. To end our visit, the waitress plopped the check on the table without even asking us if we would like to order anything else. Overall, I felt rushed and under appreciated as a customer. As someone who has worked in the service industry before, I know that it can be a difficult job. I always make the effort to be an easy customer to deal with. This type of service came as a surprise from a restaurant that has consistently been one of my favorite spots in Hershey.

Tried the Hershey Pantry based on Yelp reviews. It was a 6-8 mile detour from our route. The food was good and plentiful. I had multigrain pancakes. My boyfriend had a traditional breakfast of eggs and ham. Both were good, but nothing spectacular. Our service was good. I loved the decor and atmosphere. Overall, good but wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

I tried this place based on the advice of those on Yelp. As usual, they were correct. I had seen the menu, and was a bit surprised when I saw the place. It looked more like a diner than an elegant eatery, but it was clean, and there was deck seating available. My wife and I both got seafood, and I was curious as to how it would be. Let me tell you, it was cooked perfectly. The waitresses were professional, not high school kids working a summer job. It was an all around positive experience. I would definitely go back.

Soooooo tasty!! Huge portions and everything is delicious! Went with my hubby, in laws, and our two daughters one a recent trip to Hershey. I looked on Yelp for breakfast places and this place was highly rated...now I know why! I had the pretzel egg sandwich and when we went back the next day, the stuffed french toast. Once the food arrived at our table there was nothing but silence as everyone chowed down. My daughter ordered the pretzel sandwich the second morning we went because after watching me scarf mine lol We will definitely be visiting again next time we're in the area!

This is one of the best restaurants in Hershey. They have AMAZING breakfast foods here, and the decor is super cute. The portions are HUGE, so get ready to share or doggy bag some for home!!!

Great place. Nice staff, terrific food, and really big portions--which if you know me, is important. The menu had some cool kind of unusual items on it. They even have a nice little outdoor seating area. My dad used to come here 40 years ago with customers when it had a different name and probably owner. Whoever runs the place now has it rolling.

Me & my girl went out to eat here for my birthday and good thing we made it just in time for breakfast :) the omelettes well done, the pancakes were huge (couldn't finish all in one sitting) the sausages could've been better but the atmosphere and service was great!

I guess this is about as good as it gets in Hershey, but that's a damn shame. Place feels like a diner, but they try charging $16 - $20 for dinner entrees. Salad was great, but the pasta i got was cold and and bland. I hear breakfast is good though...

Service was a slow start, but picked up. A few days before Thanksgiving, on our way to New York City, we opted for some local flavor for lunch, rather than the chain boredom of McDonald's, and were very happy with what we found. The place is a little cramped and smallish, and around lunch time this place was PACKED. Luckily, we were seated within a few minutes; shortly before a huge crowd of people came through the door. Mom followed the advice of some of the previous Yelpers, and had the stuffed french toast. That day it was stuffed with pumpkin-flavored cream cheese. Quite ironic since we're from the small town of Circleville, Ohio, best known for being the home of the Circleville Pumpkin Show. My father and I ordered the eggs benedict with hollandaise sauce, and were both very happy with it. I can't recall what my sister had, just that it was really good. We all did "prisoner exchanges" for bites of each others' foods, and each agreed that the food was definitely very tasty. Our server seemed to be pretty occupied, and not able to dedicate as much of her attention to taking care of us as we would have liked. It took awhile for us to be able to place our order, but we never had to wait too long for a refill once we finally placed the orders.

Really pretty inside like a bistro. It was late like 9pm they were pretty busy. We waited a bit to get noticed at front door. We were tired so I wasn't very patient . Nice waitress but she was exhausted did her best. Food really good. Big portions . My teenage son could not finish his monster burger. Husband had special pork chop entree, he loved it!!

This is a really cute diner! I walked in and I couldn't help noticing the coffee mugs and teapots all around the window sills. They were so colorful and pretty. The coffee mugs were $16 and the teapots were $45, they also sell the Hershey Pantry Cookbook for $25 this book has a lot of recipes from the restaurant. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Cheese Steak with chips and my partner ordered the eggs Benedict. Both were really good and the portion size was just right. The Chicken Caesar Cheese Steak had grilled chicken, sautéed onions, mozzarella cheese, Italian sauce & Caesar salad served on grilled pita bread. The Eggs Benedict had 2 poached eggs on English muffin with Canadian bacon, topped with hollandaise sauce and served with home fries. We ordered a Tollhouse pie, which had chocolate chips, pecans and coconut all in a flaky crust, it was so good!

Disclaimer up-front: I'm the web designer and photographer for hersheypantry.com . I wouldn't have been so enthusiastic about working with them had I not loved this place to begin with. It's easily my favorite place in Central PA for breakfast. The portions are large and delicious. Pancakes and eggs benedict are my stalwart, but I got turned onto their stuffed french toast and have been hooked since. Their cakes are incredibly moist and some of the best I've ever had--I don't think you can go wrong with any of them... The only downsides I can think of is that they're not open on Sundays (although their catering facility, Events, Etc. has Sunday brunch), and they don't take reservations. If you intend to go there for breakfast, expect a line out the door! I also keep suggesting béarnaise sauce to go with their steak dinner entree...

This place is fantastic. The food was AMAZING (especially the french toast), the people were all very nice, it was decorated well, and the wait was not very long. I will definitely make it a point to go back again when I am in town.

If I could give this place a negative star I would. I went there for dinner while on vacation and thought the food was disgusting. It reminded me of a microwaved tv dinner. I'm not sure where all the excellent reviews are coming from, maybe because restaurants are few in this area, but I would never go back, even if the food was free. The service was even worse than the food.

This lovely restaurant is a great place for breakfast---delicious food served by friendly, attentive staff. Try the Benedict and the wonderful, fluffy (enormous) pancakes with delicious locally sourced bacon. For lunch, the tuna melt, reuben (corned beef, please!) and burger are all tough to beat. The one drawback: a lot of people know how good this place is, so it can be hard to get a table! If the breakfast line out the door is too intimidating, head back west on Chocolate Ave. to Bread & Cheese.

Hershey Pantry is really a great place to go. I've been there a few times and I have enjoyed my meal and experience every time. The service is always very good and the servers are pleasant. The food is very, very good and I'm enjoyed their turkey club and their veal parmesan; the food is homemade and very tasty. The prices are fairly good too, lunch runs around $8-10, which isn't bad. They are good for groups too and can accomodate a large group if needed. Overall, I definitely recommend Hershey Pantry if you're in the area.

Amazing. We got baked oatmeal. It tasted like a sundae. Reasonably priced too. Sit in the patio in the back on nice days. Kid friendly.

One of my All Time Favorites-- The food is awesome, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and you can't forget Dessert I think that's the best part. The building they are in is small but it has the home feel to it, you might have to wait a little bit because they are always jammed packed but to me this is a good sign. I have been coming here for years, I use to live in MD and would drive 2 hours with friends for a day road trip just for Breakfast. I don't think you will regret eating here.

The place is packed.. and that does say a lot.. I tried the crab florentine ( eggs benedict with crabs) and OMG it was amazing. We also tried french toast with rasberry filling and that was amazing too. For a nice breakfast/brunch place the prices were a bit steep. But the food was amazing... will go back again!

Perfectly ok food but very not worth the insanity of waiting for a table at this tiny place. The restaurant is so small that there is no place to wait so you have to stand outside.

My favorite place in Hershey for breakfast and lunch. Awesome baked oatmeal, stuffed french toast & cream cheese stuffed muffins for breakfast. Nice selection of sandwiches, wraps and salads. Decadent cakes and desserts. Wait can be long at peak hours and weekends but is totally worth it. Not exactly a healthy dining option, but totally worth the extra calories

Food is delicious and always fresh. They are famous for sticky buns and stuffed french toast -- expect a line out the door if you want a weekend breakfast. There is a lovely screened-in patio behind the restaurant for warm-weather dining. I have tried many lunch items and am always pleased -- dill chicken salad with fruit platter and homemade poppy seed bread, grilled tuna melt, ultimate grilled cheese. They offer unique specials -- on one visit they had a selection of deviled egg appetizers (lobster was excellent) and sweet potato tater tots. Prices are reasonable, ample parking, experienced staff. Restaurant is small and often busy -- but well worth the wait!

really nice place, good food but a little on the pricey side but it is worth it. the inside is really tight. if is is a nice spring, summer, or fall day the back porch is a must. egg benedict wasn't listen but i asked for it and they made it for me.

"When in Rome, do as the Romans do" When in Hershey, embrace the sweetness The Hershey Pantry is on the outskirts of Willie Wonka land. Hershey, Pa lives up to it's name with cuteness, cleanliness and sweet smelling chocolate in the air. I don't think you can go wrong visiting here unless, unfortunately, you are a diabetic. You may want to choose another town. We visited Hershey Pantry for breakfast. The restaurant looks like an ordinary diner along the highway. You could easily miss it, but the packed parking lot gives it away. Everyone seems to know about this place. The dining room is small and cozy, which could be interpreted by some as cramped. There are curtains adorning the large windows and little lamps on tables. The dining room almost looks like it belongs on a vintage train in Scotland or another time. Since it is summer, we decided to eat on the gazebo-like porch attached to the rear of the diner. Enter the lattice and screen enclosed dining room with high ceiling, fans and tropical plants. A fountain in the center of the room adds even more lure. The place looks like it belongs next door to the Enchanted Tiki Room at the Magic Kingdom. Come hungry because the portions are considerable. The specials of the day were: 1) baked oatmeal with fresh peaches and cream, 2) pancakes with fresh peaches and cinnamon, and, 3) Eggs Benedict with fresh lobster. This was going to be a difficult decision, and I hadn't even looked at the menu. They have a reputation for serving a delicious cinnamon bun, so we also ordered one of these to share. My daughter ordered the Lobster/egg Benedict and I went for the baked oatmeal. Mr Y had an omelet. I have never had baked oatmeal so I have nothing to compare this to, but it was a sweet trip to heaven in every bite. Actually, it was a bit too sweet for breakfast and is almost a dessert. As I am tasting this scrumptious combination of oatmeal, brown sugar, peaches, cream and maybe some cream cheese thrown in for added creaminess, the GIGANTIC cinnamon roll covered with cream cheese frosting arrives. Good thing I also got a side order of sausage so that my entire meal was not just sugar and fat, it was also protein and fat. Actually the sausage links were good quality and less fat than most. My daughters' Lobster Benedict had a large morsels of lobster adorning the eggs and was as good as it sounds. My husband's omelet was done to perfection. The baked oatmeal was so rich and filling, most of it was taken home, but we all agreed that it was amazing. As for the cinnamon roll, that went home untouched. These treats were nibbled on by several family members over the next day. With every first bite you could hear the "mmmmm, that's good' comment. The breakfast at the Hershey Pantry is a delicious experience. They do an excellent job of offering inventive, delicious and well prepared entrees. The chef puts a whole lot-of loving goodness into what is offered. You can't eat like this everyday, but when in Hershey, there are no calories, just sweet and creamy bliss. Go for it!

I went here when on vacation in Pennsylvania and the food was to die for. I thought it was fresh, delicious and very quickly made. I had stuffed french toast which was stuffed with raspberry cream cheese and I can honestly say that it was the best stuffed french toast I have ever had. My parents had omelettes and said they were average but they enjoyed them. We all wished there were options for smaller portions at a lower price because none of us were able to finish our food and felt it was a bit overpriced for breakfast/brunch. The service was friendly and fast and we were happy we stopped here on our vacation.

Went here after a business meeting (I was from out of town). Surprised for lunch (especially since I got here before 12 noon) had a waiting line! Not wanting to wait, I walked in and sat at the counter. Service was okay (could have been more attentive but they were busy). Portion sizes were very big and the tuna melt sandwich I had had big chunks of tuna. It seems like a small (cramped?) diner but everyone was enjoying themselves and the place was packed. Reminded me of someone's home (I think if I stretched I could hit the ceiling). Based on the one sandwich I had, I would return and I would say that the rest of the menu would be just as good. Surprising for a small diner but the food overall was excellent. This is not a place for dinner nor would I bring kids along but for a group of friends this is hard to beat.

I have eaten here many times over the years, taken friends here, etc. My little girl had her 9th birthday on a Sat with one other child. We went for tea and she LOVED it. They each got a drink, soup and a huge selection of goodies and sandwiches for $18 each. This place is price-y but having lived here for years I'm used to it. They do make everything homemade. I don't know where some of the reviewers are getting canned fruit and food that tastes like microwaved TV dinners because in 7 yrs. this has never happened to me. I love this place.

Oh man. I don't even know where to start with this review. The food was outstanding. The service was efficient, but not overly friendly (no one seems to be when they see we have a little one with us--but they usually turn around by the end of the meal). Had scrapple and a scramble/omelet thing with a side of oatmeal. Most stuff is made in=house and it's very obvious why this place is popular. It's really GOOD. Coffee tastes like coffee is supposed to taste, eggs were done perfectly, oatmeal was homemade, as was scrapple. Make sure you get something with toast because their bread is also homemade and it's incredible. This is a place to take/make a special trip to try, especially for breakfast. Fabulous and a definite repeat in the future.

Stopped by this cute restaurant by recommendation from a couple people. The place was packed for a Monday (it was a holiday though), but our wait wasn't too long. Unfortunately, our seating wasn't that great. In order to get us to a table faster they put the five of us at a four person table ... really uncomfortable. I don't know if our waitress was really busy or what the situation was, but she didn't really stop by (in fact the table next to us ... which was also served by her ... ordered and got their food even before we placed our order, even though we were seated first). I ordered the omelet special and was disappointed in the fact that it really had no taste to it even though it was supposed to be a tex-mex omelet. I had requested well done potatoes and they came out barely browned. Coffee was good though.

The cinnamon bread French toast is to die for! Great specials! A bit noisy but cannot be avoided based on the building's configuration. Should have fresh squeezed orange juice an better coffee. Fruit bowl had filler instead of fresh berries. Despite the negatives, still worth a visit.

Based on the reviews and location (it was nearby our hotel), we decided to try this place. I like the settings inside, it was crowded but cozy enough for small group or big family. The staffs were friendly and attentive and the wait was not too bad either, we waited about 10-15 mins on a Saturday afternoon. The food was actually a little disappointing, I was expecting more but everything was just about average. We ordered the cinnamon french toast (dry), egg benedict (best out of all), roast beef sandwich (bland) and the kids meal. Skip their coffee, sucks... go for the ice-tea, much better.

My husband and I went on a Wednesday morning around 10:30am. There was a wait, but they could immediately seat us at the counter. The counter was surprisingly private enough. The restaurant is small and the ceilings seem a little low which makes it seem a bit cramped. I got the french toast and my husband got eggs, ham, potatoes, and toast. Portions were huge. Both meals were delicious. I noticed the couple next to us and they had gotten baked oatmoal and a breakfast sandwich, both meals looked amazing. I also had hot chocolate which was yummy as well. Our whole bill came to a bit over $20, which I think is par with other places to eat breakfast. Service was good and friendly. Overall this is definitely a great place and I hope I can go back soon. Try the french toast, it is amazing!

Not from PA and I find it hard to be this harsh as there are LITTLE to NO other good food options in area, but the food here is horrible. Gross! NO IDEA why they have these high ratings, and this many of them! I didn't fnd the interior cute, just cheap and cluttered.

Yum Yum Yum! I had brunch here and thought I'd try the sourdough French Toast - what a unique flavor! Hubby had a turkey rueben and it was yummy too. The service was friendly and quick and the restaurant small and diner like. Lastly, the desert is big enough to share among 3 or 4 people!!

Dinner was awesome. The pot pie special over egg noodles was luscious. And the Greek salad (with grilled instead of fried chicken) was light and the hot flat bread was yummy. As for dessert....it was overwhelming to choose as there were so many awesome choices. We went with two slices of pie and they were excellent.

The hype exceeds reality, I think. We came in for a Sat morning brunch, and yes they were swamped (usually a great sign). We got to sit at the bar and watch all of the action, which I think called attention to some of the issues at hand. A good dozen meals were under the heat lamps at a time, which will affect what eventually arrives at the table. One meal arrived a good 5 min before the other, which arrived to us significantly over-cooked. Around the same time, a different hurried server was scooping ice with a glass (major no-no) and then found out why that's against code: the glass broke into the ice. This was noticed by another server immediately. Having worked in the industry, I know the proper response to this is to empty all of the ice out of the bin and ensure all glass is gone. Broken glass does look similar to ice after all. Sadly the server picked out the bits of ice that remained on top, took a few scoops out, and then proceeded to continue using that ice. It's a major inconvenience to fix this mistake the right way, but the consequences of not doing so can be catastrophic. The food that wasn't overcooked was fine, the place had a nice feel, but this will certainly be a One-and-Done establishment for us.

With all the good reviews for breakfast, I gotta get here one day! We came here for dinner and we thought the food was good home cooking. Service is warm and friendly. A quaint signature Hershey, PA dining place. If you come to Hershey, you got to make a pitstop to this place for good eats! We had apricot glazed smoked pork chops which were delicious. It was nice that they could modify....my husband is not a big fan of salads, so they substituted with a side dish. I had the lemon pepper red snapper which was spicy and they were good of communicating it to me that the linguini is an alfredo sauce of which is too heavy for me especially during the summer. So, they modify my dish and made the linguini with just olive oil and a sprinkle of parmesan. The fact they are willing to modify dishes is a great characteristic of their service. Bravo! They have a kids menu and it's priced $5 and less (huge portion) and gets a soft chocolate chip cookie with sprinkles. A nice ending.

We built our house here 8 years ago, and have been meaning to stop in, but always see people standing outside waiting so usually keep driving. We had a vacation day today tough (Monday), so we finally decided to give it a try. The coffee is very strong, which I'm not much of a fan of, but I guess there are plenty of people who like it. My husband and I both tried the cinnamon French toast, and it was crunchy with a ball of butter on top that we couldn't find anywhere to put, so we put it as far in the corner of our plates as possible, but it still melted all over the plate, making my husband feel sick from all the butter. People seem to rave about the French toast here though, so maybe we're just weird that we like it soft and thick instead of crispy? The wait staff was very nice though, and we feel like we should definitely give it another try sometime and try something different, but since it took us 8 years to get there the first time, I'm not too sure how soon that will be.

I've definitely experienced better. I thought this was just below average. I was expecting more choices and better flavors. I am guessing I just ordered wrong, but wasn't that impressed - from the service to the food. Had the sourdough French toast with sausage. Dry French toast, sausage was your usual. Just ok. Also tried the egg sandwich on grilled sundried tomato bread with bacon and mozz cheese. It came with fruit. It was... just ok. I don't know what it was, I just wasn't impressed. Food was nothing to write home about, choices were pretty limited. Oh yeah - their coffee. Which on the menu reads COFFEE (KONA).... this was not Kona coffee.... maybe... maybe a blend - but not Kona. I knew better any way, but thought I would point that out. I don't know - feel like I could have had a better breakfast for my one morning in Hershey. Had to go back to our hotel just to get a choco chino.

Amazing Reuben. Great kid's chicken tenders and fries. Good grilled cheese. The bathrooms are modern and clean. Cramped seating and waiting area right inside the doorway, but the food is well worth the wait. To be perfectly honest, I'm sure there will be times I actually consider making the 90+ minute trip to Hershey Pantry for the Reuben, so you can wait 10 minutes for a seat.

We were here for Father's day weekend. We were promptly seated, despite being told there was a 20 minute wait. We ordered the eggs benedict, the turkey cranberry sandwich on cinnamon bread and a pastrami sandwich. My eggs benedict was perfect. The slices of Canadian bacon were about a quarter of an inch thick and seared nicely on the outside. The scalloped potatoes (their version of the home fries) were done perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sandwiches were quickly devoured as well. Our server seemed tired, but was swift and kept our water glasses filled. The desert case looked incredible! It seems you can't go wrong with whatever you order here (at least for brunch!) It seems both locals and tourists in the know eat here and there is always a wait. TIP: There is also a back porch area behind the restaurant that is absolutely lovely. Next time I am there, I will definitely want to eat in there. It has swooping curtains, a high ceiling and is totally screened in, complete with ceiling fans. They also have a mouthwatering desert case and apparently it is a different dessert menu than they have in the upper dining room. We came back later in the evening to retrieve a hat we left behind at brunch. We walked out with two pieces of amazing cake. The key lime cake had perfectly fluffy butter-cream frosting on top and the strawberry shortcake was nothing short of decadent. One piece of cake was enough for 2-3 people. If you are in Hershey, give this place a go for breakfast. It is reasonably priced, portions are generous, service is swift and folks here are friendly.

There's a reason people wait in line for the breakfast at Hershey Pantry--the breakfast is the best in the entire area! The stuffed French toast is pretty amazing as well. The omelets are huge and the home fries are perfect.

  • Ellen S.

After about a 20 minute wait, we were told our table would be ready in 5 minutes and they gave it to someone else who had a bigger party so we waited an additional 15 minutes. Not a huge deal. But when I asked about it, the hostesss was rude and nasty. The coffee was weak. Looked like iced tea. We couldn't find a good cup of coffee anywhere in Pennsylvania, including the Hershey Hotel. But the breakfast was really good. I say good and not great because the home fries were greasy and undercooked. The eggs florentine with crab was outstanding and they got the eggs cooked right, which is nearly impossible. I always send back poached eggs because they are undercooked. The sticky buns were to die for.

Best breakfast place I've every been too! Wait staff was fantastic, the food was incredible, and the decor is a whimsical country chic that is just fun to look at. The baked oatmeal (with blueberries on the day we were there) changed my mind about oatmeal forever. That was incredible! The Peasant Omelet was amazing, had hashbrowns (actually julienned potatoes in this case), onions, and bacon. They claim it's a three egg omelet.... uh huh.... it's more like a 5 egg omelet! I ate till I could barely breathe and I was only a third of the way through it when I called it quits. I got an oreo muffin to go, sounds odd, but it tasted great! Put it this way, next time I'm up in Hershey, I'm booking a room at the Howard Johnsons just because it's right next to the Hershey Pantry.

Here's a simple rule to live by: if a restaurant has the word "pantry" in its very name, do yourself a favor and stop by for a cup of coffee. Chances are, you will be treated well and you will enjoy some home cookin'. If said restaurant is located on Chocolate Avenue, then you KNOW you have found THE breakfast and brunch spot. Unfortunately, it also means that you are not the only one who knows about this place, and you might as well get ready to wait in line and make small talk with the other customers. We showed up around 12:30 on Saturday, which translated into a 4-minute wait. We were seated at a small table with a dark red tablecloth, right in front of the Christmas tree. Yep, we were a couple of Santa sweaters and a couple of goofy smiles away from a real Christmas card. It was pretty late for breakfast, so we were given lunch menu. When we asked our very tall waitress Melissa about breakfast, she told us that they were no longer serving breakfast. She did, however, offer to bring us brunch menus. I felt like I stumbled upon a great secret because no one was having brunch. I wondered why brunch was so hush-hush at the Hershey Pantry, but neither my friend nor I had a very good explanation. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and my friend - the Crab Florentine (which is really Eggs Benedict with crab cakes instead of Canadian bacon). Both dishes were served with Hershey Pantry's version of home fries, i.e., thinly sliced, almost scalloped, potatoes fried in a pan. The huge serving of potatoes was too much even for me, but they sure were delicious, with just the right amount of oil, salt and chopped onions. I enjoyed my Eggs Benedict, and my friend - her Crab Florentine. The English muffin was toasted perfectly, and the tangy Hollandaise sauce made up for the slightly bland Canadian bacon. We also split a plate of homemade blueberry muffins with cream cheese icing on the inside. The muffins were freshly baked and scrumptious without being too sweet. The buttery cream cheese, naturally, makes everything better. Although one of my friends disillusioned me by telling me that "icing on the inside is really just filling," I was still pretty impressed with the muffins. I also ordered some iced tea, which is also worth mentioning. The iced tea was fresh brewed and very strong. Our waitress brought out a glass of iced tea along with a small carafe filled with even more iced tea! I love that! You could smell the aroma as she was setting it on the table. I was so glad I decided to skip coffee and choose the iced tea. Big win. I cannot wait go back to The Hershey Pantry for breakfast or brunch. What a fun, happy place!

Our breakfast food was overpriced and burnt. Even the edges of the toast were black but the homefries were underdone. We were ignored, and our water was not refilled as it was overcrowded and the servers were overwhelmed.

This place is cool, quirky, and always packed. Great portions, outdoor seating is beautiful, and inside is colorful and fun. Ham is thick and delicious, sticky buns were grilled to perfection, pancakes were big and fluffy, and stuffed muffins awesome. The reason to go however; PIE. The best cream pies I've ever had, and some pretty darn good other pies; the best in the area. And they're 30 minutes from Amish country, still have the best pie. Get ready for a wait, but Don't you dare leave without food.

Probably one of the best if not the best food spots in the Central PA area. At least for Breakfast & Brunch, this spot in Hershey is a treat. The stuffed French Toast is special. The hot chocolate is tasty (Maybe because you are in Hershey?). I don't think you can go wrong with any of the pastries, treats, and sweets. In any case do not miss this if you are in the area!

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast on our way through Hershey. It is a cute restaurant that is full of character and charm. The portions were good sized very tasty! Update: We went back again this week while visiting the area (2/11/12). Everything was just as great as we remembered! The food was delicious with large portions. The place was packed and noisy, but the service was great. The coffee and hot chocolate were the best. We miss this place!

Based on other Yelp reviews we decided to stop in at the Hershey Pantry for a late lunch. The restaurant was cozy and well staffed. My husband ordered the Turkey Pantry, a turkey BLT with brie, I had the fish taco, and my boys had the chicken fingers. We also tried the Blue cheese appetizer. The prices were reasonable, the portions were huge, and the food was very good. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

I have been here for both breakfast and lunch. It's a quaint and cozy spot. The staff is friendly. During the summer months they have a nice outdoor patio seating area. The breakfast and lunch options are delicious. Portions are large. The desserts look outstanding, although I have never indulged in them. Whenever I am in Hershey I make the Hershey Pantry a destination.

I have been going to the Pantry for at least 10 years. Food is top notch, service is good too. Dining room is miniscule and packed most frequently for breakfast/brunch. That's okay in summer (they also have a nice cool back patio area for the summer), but not during the winter. Aisles are very narrow, I always have to watch my little kids very closely getting to our seats. Its actually somewhat dangerous. Lunch counter is our usual destination. People tend to sit here, so sometimes there is a lengthy wait. Owner wants to keep the Pantry small, but customers keep lining up. I'm hoping maybe one day there will be room to stretch out more, but I'm not holding my breath. Waiting at the door is the epitome of uncomfortable. Sometimes its worth the hassle because the food is so much better (not necessarily healthier) than other local places. (Although I would take Houlihans over the Pantry for dinner now (nice big booths)). Maybe, one day......

I live in Long Island and I cannot wait to make another trip to Hershey just so I can go to Hershey Pantry. All I can say is Pumpkin Pancakes during autumn time with spiced butter. My husband had the apple stuff french toast. Unbelievable! The place is really tiny so if you don't go during the off season I can't even imagine you getting in. I'd wait an hour in the cold to get into this place.

Hershey Pantry is definitely the best place around for brunch. Not only do they offer a wide variety of tasty (albeit pretty standard) brunch items, the cost is very reasonable and the environment and service are both absolutely fantastic. Their breakfast menu has a very different selection compared to brunch, and they are fairly strict about not giving you the brunch menu unless you were seated after 11. So if you are one of those people who likes to wake up early for a hearty meal, I suggest you grab a snack and wait it out, it's definitely worth it. Their Eggs Benedict is definitely worth a try. Everything on their menu is worth a try, as everything I've tried so far has been very satisfying. Dessert is another huge plus for this place. I believe dessert is a standard $5 for whatever you choose, but the portions are generally HUGE. A wide variety of cakes and other assorted pastries are rotated, so depending on the day and the season you can have a set of completely new dessert choices. On a day with good weather, you can choose to sit either inside or outside in their patio-like extension. Both are very charming and comfortable, the outside especially friendly to casual conversation and lounging. Grab a cup of hot chocolate (this is Hershey after all) and just sit and relax and enjoy the best breakfast/brunch you've had in a while.

I debated between 2 and 3 stars. I decided to be generous with 3 stars. I've had afternoon tea at the Hershey Pantry and would definitely recommend it. Delicious! This morning my husband and I tried breakfast here for the first time. It was just ok. I was hoping to try the stuffed french toast but the filling this morning did not sound appealing to me in the least (cherry almond). I do not like flavored cream cheese in stuffed french toast. I like french toast stuffed with sweetened cream cheese and topped with fresh berries and powdered sugar. Since this didn't sound close to what they were serving this morning I opted for regular french toast and home fries. They were just ok. The french toast was very buttery, but not in a good way. It was actually a bit on the salty side. The 4 pieces of french toast were randomly slopped onto the plate. Terrible presentation. The home fries were horribly underdone. It was like eating a sliced baked potato rather than delicious crispy breakfast potatoes. I also wasn't a fan of how they were seasoned. My husband and I split a cinnamon roll. It was huge! The cream cheese icing (that would have been delicious in stuffed french toast...) was yummy! The roll itself was ok. It tasted like and had the texture of basic cinnamon bread. Not very moist at all. In general, I do not enjoying dining at the Hershey Pantry due to the extremely cramped dining room. There is no place to wait and when we arrived there was a group of 3 ladies and another couple waiting. We all crammed ourselves inside the entry way. Husband and I were standing up against a planter with a plant that was seriously in the way and unnecessary. When finally seated we felt squished into a small space. The Hershey Pantry is very busy. It's usually difficult to get decent parking not to mention a seat. We went for breakfast on a Monday morning around 10:15 am. Still way too busy. Our server was trying to keep up but unfortunately as our food was coming up she was seated 3 tables at the same time. She got our food to us quickly but then we had to wait quite a while for condiments and drink refills. In the end, my favorite place for breakfast is still the Brownstone in Middletown.

I love the Hershey Pantry, but it is always packed. Go early, otherwise you will be waiting a really long time. I wish there was more room inside- I always feel like I am sitting on top of everyone because it is a small place. The food is excellent though. Love the french toast and the Kona coffee!

Really enjoyed our breakfast here. The place was packed and we had to wait. A tip is that there are 2 waiting lines during summer. One in the front for indoor seating and one in the back for outdoor seating. We ate in the back in their outside space. We really liked the atmosphere they have outside. The service was a bit slow but good overall. The portion sizes were huge and very good. I got eggs and pancakes and they were very good. My wife got cinnamon french toast which was very good. I would recommend this for breakfast.

While visiting Hershey Park this weekend, we wanted to do something different rather than the typical Red Robin or Fuddruckers. After seeing all the good reviews about Hershey Pantry (5 mins from park entrance) we decided to give it a try for dinner. Simply put, the food was excellent during our first visit (yes we went twice in three days). I had the roast beef panini that was prepared on fresh bread and had brie cheese with apples. Superb! My wife had one of their salads which easily feeds two people and was equally delicious. If you are traveling with kiddos (like who doesn't in Hershey), the kids menu covers all bases. The second visit was equally as good though my son found the coconut crusted chicken a little dry. Prices are typical for a resort town and the service was a little slow but extremely friendly. Seating is a little tight indoors but they have an extensive patio in the back. Parking is right next to the Hampton Inn or in front of the restaurant. Oh BTW, did I mention their awesome homemade desserts...simply to die for. Will definitely visit again next time we are in town. Overall, 4 1/2 stars!

Voted best breakfast and lunch in Hershey for a reason. We were in town for less than a week, but ate here twice for breakfast and once for lunch. The muffins (especially the Oreo muffins) are a big hit. I highly recommend the cheesesteaks on the lunch menu as well, but don't expect a traditional cheesesteak. It's loaded with fresh tomato and lettuce in addition to steak, cheese and onion.

The restaurant was crowded and warm! The food was very good and reasonably priced! The service was slow and a little surly. I'll definitely be back, however, for another home-cooked meal in this place. I had the pot roast special, and it was very good...and the portion was very generous for the price! If you're traveling on business and dining alone, this is a solid option!

We visited Hershey Pantry for dinner on the recommendation of a front desk staff member at our hotel. She said that it is where a lot of locals love to eat breakfast. Well I can report that their dinner was mighty tasty too. The jumbo lump crab cake, broiled salmon in dill sauce, pot roast sandwich, and chicken tenders (for kids) were all enjoyed. We'll definitely be back to eat breakfast, but we'll try and avoid the peak rush hour. Pros: Very good food. Very fresh. Great baked goods. Family friendly. Friendly wait staff that goes out of their way to please. Cons: Small restaurant. Half hour or more wait during peak dining times.

This place was packed at lunch time, which I think is a good sign. We only had to wait a few minutes. Food was tasty, service was good, prices were reasonable. We had the cheesy crab dip, Chicken Florentine soup and a grilled veggie wrap. No complaints! Desserts looked fabulous but, sadly, we had to pass since we were on our way to a chocolate tasting.

This place is delicious for breakfast/brunch. I'm not particularly excited about its lunch/dinner offerings, but I think their breakfast is unbeatable in the Hershey area. If you want cheap, good diner-style breakfast, head for the Soda Jerk in Hummelstown. If you want a special breakfast and don't mind a little extra cost, you've got to go to the Pantry. The Pantry is closed on Sundays, like many businesses in Hershey, which is crazy because they'd make a killing on Sunday breakfast and brunch. Otherwise they serve breakfast until 11am and then a limited brunch menu with some breakfast items until 2pm (was so glad when they started doing this because it's hard to get in there before 11am with the wait times often up to 1 hr). The pancakes and french toast are absolutely delicious, and they feature a stuffed french toast with cream cheese and fruit filling that is very good too. Beware the cinnamon buns! They are the size of a pie! And they are slathered with an inch-high layer of cream cheese icing. I kid you not when I say this "bun" fills an entire regular plate. These buns are to die for, literally I think they have taken a few years off my life and I don't even care. I also love the specialty coffees, they offer flavored coffees that are yummy. They have a lot of other bakery items like all kinds of cakes, which I'm sure are similarly excellent, but I'm not really a cake person so I can't speak for those. The service is friendly and efficient. The parking can also be a little annoying, but if you can go on a weekday rather than Saturday, so that you don't have to wait forever to get in, that would be ideal.

From the minute my boyfriend and I walked it was enjoyable. We were greeted right away and were told to sit wherever we would like. We had prompt servive and a very friendly waitress. Our orders came out fast and perfect and our coffee never ran out before she would ask if we wanted a refill. The food was amazing! The prices cannot be beat for the quality we received.

I am giving this place three stars strictly based on the service that we received. This place does not have a liquor license, which we probably should've researched before we went. That said, I got a rack of ribs and mashed potatoes that was on their specials for the night. They were prepared very good, with me on the bone as they should. The seasoning was very tasty. The mashed potatoes were very good as well. Now onto the service. It was clear that they were trying to flip our table over as quick as possible. Two people in our group ordered salads as appetizers and the main course came literally five minutes after the salads did. So we were left trying to make room for all of the plates on the table. I really don't know why restaurants do this. It is very aggravating and the main course gets cold while you finish your appetizers. The kicker though was that they served the kids desserts in to go containers, even though we did not ask for them to go. We found this to be quite odd. The waitress quickly asked if we were interested in desserts, and flashed the dessert menu even quicker in front of us. It was clear that she just wanted to give us our checks and send this on our way. Which is what we did. The place is quite small, which is why they seem intent on flipping tables quickly. However, you really shouldn't rush the people that are sitting there. To summarize, food was good but expect to be rushed out.

We had lunch which was very good. I had the hamburger and wife had roast beef. Service was very good except they forgot our silverware. Atmosphere was good we ate in a screened in porch area. Pleasant bird noises in the background. I believe they are better known for their breakfast.

After reading all the great reviews of The Hershey Pantry, I decided to stop here this morning for brunch while visiting the area. I ordered the Crab Florentine, and I was not disappointed. It was delicious. Large portion, and very reasonably priced.

I will start with the one and only negative... Parking is a bear. I dropped my companion off at the door to get in line for seating and it took me 15 minutes to finally luck into a parking spot. But I am sure glad I waited. I ordered the sourdough french toast with, in an uncharacteristic move for me, bacon and a side of home fries. The french toast was crispy and tasty. The bacon was very thick cut and cooked perfectly. It was obvious that this was locally sourced. The home fries... I couldn't stop eating them. They weren't good for you, but they were good. Cooked in butter, seasoned perfectly. Great crust. Top that off with a great cup of coffee. This was among the best breakfasts I have ever had. Worth every minute of parking frustration.

I didn't make it there early enough for the breakfast hours, so I had to order from their regular menu with little reluctance because I didn't want anything heavy. So I just went with roast beef sandwich, which is a dish that can't really go wrong. However, what came out far exeeded my expectation. Best roast beef sandwich ever! I also tasted their grilled cheese sandwich with gouda cheese which was really great as well. Can't wait till I go back for breakfast next time!

A friend and I were in Hershey for the afternoon and after some research the night before I decided we would lunch at the Hershey Pantry. It was great! We ate off the lunch menu, I had the salmon salad and my friend had a turkey croissant, and they were fabulous! Also, it was very affordable. The restaurant itself was clean and well decorated, and the service was exceptionally fast and friendly.

These five stars are relative. If it were in a bigger city I would give it a four stars, but compared to what's in Hershey-- its the best. The menu is full of american bistro fare. I had stuffed french toast and it was tasty, but came with no frills. I also a DELICIOUS mug of hot coco. Which, is what one would expect from the area :) The other food at the table was all simplistic but flavorful. The downsides are that the place is small and the crowds are big. Also, because of its size, any time the door opens the whole place is flooded by the elements- which was snow when I was there.

  • Kim K.

Food & service was excellent but the size of the place is extremely small with absolutely no waiting area to speak of. Just inside the front door, there is a small patch of linoleum where a very few people can stand, crunched together and in the way of departing customers, until your name is called. We had excellent food and service however the accomodations would keep me from going back. The tables are very close together so if you have to walk thru the room to get to the very tiny aisle where the restrooms are, you are squeezing past other customers to get there. The aisle for the restrooms is between the front counter and the rear kitchen. There is a screened in patio in the rear that they could close in and use all year round to perhaps make the experience a little more comfortable for their patrons. Also, it would not be hard to bump out the front entrance to create a small waiting area, with or without a bench. It was cold & rainy last night so we would not have been able to wait outdoors.

The true locals spot - The Hershey Pantry has the best breakfast, for the best price for miles - Yes, it's tight and crowded, but that makes it warm and cozy too. One of the only places where I feel the food is just like home-cooking, fresh from my mother's hands. Places like The Hershey Pantry make me want to come home.

  • Andy B.

The folks there are very friendly, and the serving portions are HUGE! Great value for the food! I've only been there for breakfast, so I cannot grade other meals. It has always been crowded when I've been there, which attests to the great food. However, you sometimes have to wait for a table, and it is a bit on the small side indoors. Parking can also be a bear, as part of the parking lot is immediately off of Rt. 422.

Decided to drop by here for a quick brunch before exploring Hershey World. I shared the crab florentine eggs benedict, lobster corn chowder and scallop and bacon soup. Service is a bit slow. It took a while for our server to take our orders. Food arrived fast though. The outdoor patio seating was pretty nice. The soups are pretty big even though we ordered cups. I preferred the lobster corn chowder over the scallop and bacon. There wasn't much lobster in the chowder, it was mostly corn but taste wise it was better than the scallop and bacon soup. The strange thing, the scallop and bacon soup was cold when it was served to us where the lobster corn chowder was still warm. The scallop and bacon didn't have much bacon in it and it was kind of bland compared to the lobster chowder. The lobster chowder was a bit too salty. Weird how both of them are extremes to one end and there is no in between for each soup? Anyways, the star of the show is the crab florentine eggs benedict. The eggs benedict was good but I wished they had more crab meat with it. The crab meat was kind of dry, I guess thank god for the hollandaise sauce? P.S. theres a $5 off discount when you check in with yelp, so be sure to do that! But it only applies for orders of $25 or more.

Stopped in for a nice dinner. Was not disappointed. Alicia was fast, on point and gracious. Food portions were great! Sat in the sun room in the back. Great atmosphere and the music was awesome. Big band, oldies and Frankie & Deano. I had the Tuna steak rare, pumpkin mashed taters and Caesar salad. Under $40 without tip. If I lived here this would be on my regular schedule. Give it a try. 4 stars for all the great stuff. 5 if you start grilling ribeyes!

Went here with my boyfriend and he told me about the cinnamon rolls. I was curious and got one and I wasn't disappointed. This thing was the size of my head! And had lots of delectable cream cheese frosting with cinnamon sprinkled on top and warm cinnamon between the layers of bun. It was wonderful and there was so much that I only ate half before I was full! I also tried their bacon which was thick and crispy, just how I like it! The only downside was that it was a little pricey but that was to be expected.

First, the big negative... They don't serve alcohol. Seriously. And if you're going to be liquor free, I should at least be able to get a good iced coffee... which unfortunately isn't the case. I had dinner here and left happy, but unimpressed. After hearing that breakfast was where Hershey Pantry really shined, I went back for breakfast and was AMAZED. I got the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on sun-dried tomato toast. First of all, if you order this, please share it. The portions are ridiculously huge. If you picture a normal sandwich, and then multiply that by 2 or 3, you get a Hershey Pantry sandwich. But seriously. If you do share it, you might regret that once you bite in. Seriously great flavor. In a sandwich! I didn't even know sandwiches could be so good! And where did they get that bread!? My mom got the blueberry pancakes, my dad got the sampler. They were both happy with their dishes, but I think they both had a serious case of food envy.

Stopped into this roadside diner for an early dinner . This is a cozy little eatery with an uncluttered and inviting decor. The seafood chowder was excellent, lots of seafood and not the typical thick and flour laden diner version we so often see. An outstanding starter. The crusted salmon salad was huge and the salmon was fresh and very tasty, the Gorgonzola vinegarette was a perfect compliment. Great food and a friendly staff . If your in the area , it's a must stop.

The covered outdoor eating area is beautiful. It's very garden shicic decor is relaxing and the outdoor fire place is beautiful. It has a separate entrance from the dining room which means I did not see the interior dining area. I hight recommend the sweet potato fries with pork, brown sugar and scallions. Interesting and delicious combo with a large sharing portion. I would not recommend the scallops and pumpkin risotto. The scallops were gritty and there was no taste of pumpkin in the risotto. The other entrees and apps were great for the table. I will definitely go back and try some other items. Brunch looks delicious!

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. I love the vibe - it's casual and cozy. The outdoor patio is a perfect spot for a private party or to dine with a date. I repeatedly order the coconut shrimp - but you can't go wrong with trying any of the dishes on the menu including the daily specials. Save room for dessert! The desserts are homemade and a generous portion. I cannot resist the vanilla coconut cake- the cake is moist and the icing is sweet & creamy, lightly dusted with a layer of coconut. Simply amazing. I have yet to try breakfast but it is on my to do list. I can't wait!

While visiting Hershey park 2 times I have stopped at the Hershey pantry! And I enjoyed both experiences. I was one that used yelp to initially find this restaurant. Came here twice. The first for dinner, second for bfast. Different experiences. At night the wait staff our young and inexperienced. Not bad service but didn't offer recommendations and too perky, lol. Maybe Im just getting old (turning 31 in a few days) Waitress in the morning was a little older, nice and efficient. Dinner was decent, huge salad comes with dinner. Ceasar had sundried tomatoes on.it . We got the sausage and pepper sliders, provolone was on point. My chicken caprese salad was good. The chicken was hearty and roasted. My bf did not like his neptune pasta-alfredo sauce was partially broken and shrimp overcooked. Bfast was much better. Homefries were thin and crispy. The cinnamon roll is huge. The frosting is not overly sweet. It was good but they don't make them in.a pan so they aren't overly gooey. The edges were crispy. Unless I got an end piece, but seems like they are individually made. My bfs peaches and cream oatmeal was hearty and delicious. Its sweet, he loved it. Both times we were seated right away. But helps to be just a couple. Breakfast at 9am was busy but waits didn't appear longer than 15 mins on a Tuesday.

Maybe relativity plays a factor here, but I just don't understand how Hershey Pantry has a 4 star rating on Yelp. Don't get me wrong, the food wasn't bad... but it wasn't good either. I was anxious to try the monstrous cinnamon roll I had seen pictures of and that the waitress recommended. When it came out, it was in fact monstrous and it looked pretty good, but first bite left me with nothing but a dry roll and overly sweet icing. My wife's omelet that followed was mediocre. Once again, not bad, but nothing I would ever seek out. Perhaps the only saving grace was my baked oatmeal. Here, the welcome bit was more the uniqueness of the dish versus the flavor (which once again, seemed lacking). Perhaps I set my standards too high, but I just can't see myself seeking out this place if I ever visit Hershey again. Thankfully, we didn't wait at all (contrary to a lot of the reviews), so not all was lost!

This place has good food but lack customer service. My waitress (woman with short dark hair) was great (which is why it's 2 stars and not 0), but all the rest of the staff seemed like they were busy doing things that normally take place during closing. Sat at my table with my family for 10 minutes before getting menus, and watched the staff mumble and give looks since some customers came in 30 minutes before closing. It's unfortunate because the food was good.

Didn't actually get to eat here. It's a shame. I heard the fod is good. The wait time on a Saturday at 10 am was one hour and twenty minutes. Don't know why because there were at least twenty open tables in the back. Saw the while looking for the velvet ropes and the bouncer. I don't care how good the food is or the reputation if the wait times are unexplainable, inexcusable, and otherwise ridiculous.

I recently visited Hershey Pantry with my wife and son for Brunch. There was a wait of about 20 minutes but that was fine since they have an app you can use to see your place in line and then be told when your table is ready. The interior is small but stylish with decorations up for Christmas and they had Christmas with Santa the day we ate there. There is not really anywhere to wait so a couple times we waited on the step. The service was good and we did not wait very long for our food. I was happy because they told me my eggs benedict separated but they redid them for me - I had the crab eggs benedict florentine which was cooked perfectly and the muffin was fresh not hard underneath the layers of spinach, crab and egg. I ordered some ham on the side my wife had sausage with her pumpkin cream cheese stuffed french toast and my son ate bacon with his cocoa puffs so I got to try all three. I enjoyed the home fries that came with my brunch entree and my wife and I both liked the cappuccino we ordered. The experience I had before on Veteran's day with my Father in Law I ordered the seafood linguine with Italian iced tea (served with sorbet in it) and caeser salad while my father-in-law had prime rib both complimetary since we are veterans. On another occasion prior to that with my Mom and wife was equally satisfying. The portion sizes are very large and quality/freshness of the food is excellent. I recommend coming here if you are near Hershey or just want an all around flavorful meal.

We were here once before and really liked it. This visit was a different story. Two waiters fought over our table. One told us the other was known for stealing tables. The other told us the first one was a liar. Then they argued at the kitchen pass through window. Eventually we got a waitress but she forgot some of our food. The food was ok but nothing special. This was nothing like what we remembered from our first time here

Great service and good food! Definitely worth the stop!!! I had a Western Omelette and my wife had a Veggie one. Both were perfectly cooked and came with 'home fries'. Their home fries are sliced almost like a potato chip would be... Different than what we call home fries at home, but excellent none-the-less. We sat at the counter and really enjoyed talking to all of the staff as they feverishly worked to take care of their customers. We were VERY glad that we stopped by!

I had the afternoon tea which was a pot of tea, soup ,half a sandwich and some yummy scones and sweets. A little pricey but very cute and good. My daughter had the ahi tuna sandwich which she loved. Please be aware if you ask for any extras (ex more mayo for your sandwich) you will be charged. I believe they should mention that. Our table was very small (not much room) and our waitress wasn't friendly but all and all it was a nice experience.

Delicious dinners and beautiful back 'porch'...but sloooow On a recent weekend visit to Hershey we dropped by the Pantry based on location and reviews. It was so good our family went back the next night. But be forewarned - both were 1 1/2 to 2 hour experiences so if you are in a hurry this is not the place for you. I don't have any hard and fast guidelines to help you order other than go for the greens - the salads were all wonderful. The Thai wings and Italian iced tea were both fabulous and had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy and sweet and tart (respectively). But the grilled turkey sandwich was WAY too sweet - the turkey and swiss were both bland and were overwhelmed by the cranberry sauce and cinnamon bread. The braised pork was spectacular and the beef cheese steak was a big winner with my son - 'steak sandwich-y' rather than 'cheesesteak-y'. The grilled tuna and burger were both good-ish - perfectly fine but nothing to write home about. The only true klunker was the mushroom lovers pasta - the pasta was delicious but the the sauce was a library paste mess. The server was sweet and helpful but a bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume of folk. And if the weather permits the back 'porch' is a truly lovely place to enjoy a meal.

Went here for brunch, not impressed. Table of 6 and 4 of us ordered the "special". The two who didn't order the special were served and finished before the other four meals even came out. Wait staff was kind and food was sub-par for the value. I live in Hershey and will not likely return. Hope you have better luck!

Servings big enough to keep you full through lunch! We ate here for breakfast for the second time this morning and it was so delicious! On our previous visit a few days ago I had the baked oatmeal with fresh, in-season peaches. It was outstanding! Today I had the stuffed French toast with peach cream cheese. It was served with the most delicious butter I have ever had. My husband and the kids both had omelets and we shared the cinnamon roll which was ginormous! We paid ~$60 for the 4 of us. Pricey but worth it especially since we make it to dinner for our next meal.

Apparently Sunday brunch is not a thing in central PA? I've heard the opposite--of places that are only open on Sundays for brunch. Surely many other excited potential customers have been in Hershey for a weekend and wanted to go to, what looks like, a really nice place. I guess I'll never know!

Went for breakfast on Memorial Day. You check in and get a text message when the table is ready. That worked well. You can sit inside or in the screened porch. We sat inside. Old school country feel. Staff was friendly and didn't have that angry restaurant worker feel. We had lemon cake French toast, feta omelet, and breakfast platters. By the looks and reviews I expected awesome. It was good. My French toast was burnt on 2 of the pieces, my kids liked the platters and my wife said her omelet was OK. Way better than I Hop crap, but did nit blow away Bob Evans like I thought it would. Maybe lunch and dinner are a bigger deal? I'm willing to try by looking at the menu.

Very popular with locals and tourists alike-About a half hour wait on a non-holiday Monday at 10:00 a.m. Parking lot full. Coffee was strong and delicious. My wife had the daily special of poached eggs and turkey sausage with hollandaise over a waffle. Came with a nice fruit salad. Eggs perfectly cooked. Only criticism -it was half a waffle. I had the sun dried tomato bread sandwich with egg - Great bread, a large portion of omelet-like eggs and cheese, and certainly ample with the fruit salad. Service was pretty good - although I made the mistake of asking a waitress who wasn't mine whether she was and received a no and gimlet eyed stare. Recommended.

This is my favorite place in Hershey to have brunch. The food is delicious, their homemade cinnamon rolls and and pancakes are HUGE and so yummy!! I love their eggs benedict. The only cons are that you usually have to wait to get a table, they are closed on Sundays, and it is cramped in there. But if you want a good breakfast/brunch place in Hershey and you don't mind waiting for a table, this is the best place to go.

We stopped here on the way through PA to Chicago. What a great spot we picked (thanks to Yelp). 1st off - Best chocolate milk I've had. 2nd - I ordered the wrong thing. We were sat outside and everyone around us had eggs and they looked good. I got ham and eggs. The ham was a ham steak and definitely the best I've had. If they would have sat us inside, I would have seen the French toast and the pancakes people had. Next time, I'm getting the pancakes with the ham steak on the side.

Delicious food... Enough said! Have only had breakfast there (numerous times). The portions are huge and it makes me feel like I am at home in my own kitchen... Only the food is so much better! Small inside, locals must visit often as they usually are on a first name basis. Cozy atmosphere.

Enjoyed the day in Hershey and stopped at this place for lunch. We waited a bit for a table but not long. The service was good and our meals were excellent. I chose the ultimate grilled cheese which was very good. My friend had the Reuben which she raved over. The place was a little cramped which is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars. It's definitely worth stopping for.

We came to Hershey for my son's 16th birthday and came to the Hershey Pantry for dinner. Everything was really good, we all kept raving about the Cesar salad the dressing was perfect. We also had the Reuben, chicken Parmesan, crab stuffed mushroom and spaghetti and meatballs. We got a slice of red velvet cake and chocolate peanut butter cake. We inquired about the red velvet facing cream cheeses frosted and were assured it did but it was really lacking. The chocolate peanut butter cake was better. We're gonna try to go back for breakfast.

We had breakfast here and it was okay. The food had very large servings which is definite something to keep in mind when ordering. I wish the waitress would have warned me how big the pancakes were before I ordered a side of eggs and sausage. However, the waitress Kelly was very sweet and attentive. The diner itself has a very cute design/vibe. The area that we sat at did feel somewhat crammed at times, especially when people where sitting behind us and chair practically bumped with each other. Overall the experience was a positive one and I definitely would come back.

It's basically a form of a NJ diner. They have over sized portions (not a fan) and a basic menu. The cinnamon roll was grossly large...and it was ok. Our egg dishes were fine and my son refused to eat his pancake because it was so large (which I cannot understand...we ordered from the children's menu). All in all expensive for what it is. It also took forever for a waitress to come and seat us....then another 7 minutes to have our drink orders taken. When we came there were plenty of open tables. Eh

This was a great place to stop in for lunch. My friend and I each got a salad and it was huge!! The food was delicious and something we will be talking about for awhile!! They have an incredible dessert selection!! I normally don't get dessert at lunch, but it was impossible to pass up! Can't wait to go back to try the afternoon tea package!!

Known for breakfast and desserts. Crowded on weekends. Tables are really tight together. Sit at the bar or arrive during off times for the quickest seating. If dining as a couple, order 1 dinner entree that comes with a side salad and ask for an extra plate and some dinner rolls. Portions are large. The side dinner or caesar salad are the size of full entree salads. Pasta dishes are also large. The waitresses are really friendly. Ask for Jazmine! Chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting for dessert.

Delicious! We tried the tuna steak sandwich (best tuna steak ever according to the hubby!) and the baked oatmeal. SO good, and a great deal for your money. Crowded, but the wait wasn't too bad over MLK weekend!

We were traveling in October 2014 and this I one of the places we ate. What a great menu to choose from. We ate there a couple times and really enjoyed it. It is a very busy place but a must go to place.

A cute and cozy (small) place with some quality food. My group of girls and I arrived here hungry. Sadly we got here after breakfast ended, but still in time for brunch. One of the must gets is definitely the homemade sticky bun! The cinnamon roll I would take a pass on though (just get another sticky bun instead - seriously!) Between the 5 of us we got some stuffed french toast (another great find!), eggs benedict (standard), some more sticky buns (I'm not kidding you - they are amazing), and lots of home fries (pretty good). Definitely recommend coming, but try and make it for breakfast - they don't serve any eggs, except benedict, or omelettes during brunch!!! Also be warned the OJ tastes significantly watered down. And... get the sticky bun!

Hershey Pantry easily accomodated our walk in party of 8 with 4 children. The food was served quickly, was filling, and our service was good. Nice for a quick lunch before Hershey Park.

While on a road trip from NJ to AZ I stopped in Harrisburg, PA for a night and woke up the next morning craving some local breakfast fare. I had no idea how close I was to the town of Hershey. After consulting my trusty Yelp! app, I made the sound decision to stop by the Hershey Pantry. It's a small place right off the road with good parking and a cute exterior. After walking in I was greeted by a mass of patrons squeezed into this little establishment at every table. Being solo, I opted for an open bar seat. Immediately I was greeted and poured a delicious cup of coffee as I looked over the menu. I decided on the stuffed French Toast which on this particular day was being stuffed with raspberry filling. Once my order was brought out - and thats the only knock I have on this place, waiting close to 20 mins - I was amazed at how huge the fench toast pieces were. They were giant. Giant and incredibly delicious. I forgot all about how long it took to get my food. This place is one of a few different reasons why I wouldn't mind living in this town. Everyone just seemed to polite, professional, and affluent. Customers and employees. It was the prefect spot to get the day started and get on with my long journey across the country.

Fantastic must visit when you visit Hershey. The food was most excellent. Fresh and inviting, delicious and intoxicating (and I don't even drink). They had fresh-from-the-garden tomatoes on my sandwich. It was amazing and wonderful. And the prices are great.

Had breakfast here before heading to Hershey park. It was just a typical breakfast, nothing too special. The service was incredible though. All the waitstaff were super on the ball considering how packed it was. The muffins are tasty. Get a muffin.

You know the decor was a little dated but the food was very good. The turkey, Brie and cranberry mayonnaise on cranberry ciabatta was great. And we got the cinnamon roll was HUGE. I mean HUGE...it is like 4 large Cinnabon rolls put together. My wife and I are half and then took the rest home. Also, we got a $5 off coupon for checking in with Yelp. Cool! I would come back. Also if you stay in the Hampton Inn next door, you have to come here...right next door, no driving!

It totally deserves a five-star! I order the crab Benedict and French toast thy were super good! And don't forget the lobster bisque soup as appetizer! Even though this is a small place, everyone was so nice, the waitress took a good care of me! Also the price is reasonable!

If you find yourself in Hershey then you MUST eat breakfast here. This is one of the best spots to eat in Hershey. I found the food in Hershey in general to be outstanding. Everywhere I ate the food was farm fresh and so flavorful. The Hershey Pantry has large, flavorful, and fresh tasting portions for a low price. I had 2 eggs (over easy), hash browns, and scrapple. It's hard to find scrapple anywhere in general...this place not only had scrapple, but it was delicious. It also came in a huge portion. The eggs were perfectly cooked and I've never had hash browns this perfectly seasoned. We ate at the back patio area and it was the perfect atmosphere to start our day. We could hear the birds and feel the breeze; it was very peaceful. We spoke with a local before getting our table and she said that she loves to eat here often. You basically can't go wrong stopping here.

Had dinner. It was pretty awesome. Had corn-shrimp chowder and fish taco. Wife had coconut shrimp salad. Everything was excellent. Pretty shocked by some of the mixed reviews given our experience. Looks like breakfast may be more hit or miss. Definitely the best place I've tried in Hershey out of 3-4 visits. Will absolutely go back every time we came. A little cozy and probably not great for a bunch of kids, but we were there will our 4 year old, and it was fine. They have a pretty decent kid's menu. Very creative menu but they have some basics as well that should please less adventurous people in a group.

Is there a button for more stars!? If there was, Hershey Pantry would receive them! On a recent road trip several friends and I found ourselves in Hershey, PA one crisp Saturday morning. We were very hungry and looking for the areas best breakfast. After consulting yelp we discovered Hershey Pantry. This Central Pennsylvania gem offers a covered, outdoor seating area with ample space which provided the perfect atmosphere. I found the service to be efficient and friendly, and some of the locals even offered to chat about their favorite local breakfast spot. In a tourist driven area like Hershey, if the locals love it you know it has to be good! While at the Hershey Pantry I enjoyed the Swiss and Mushroom omlet. Not only was it perfect, but the portion was large enough to share! The omlet was accompanied by perfectly seasoned and crisp home fries and fresh baked bread. I also must say, their coffee was excellent. The biggest surprise at Hershey Pantry had to be when the check arrived. It was so reasonably priced that I almost fell out of my chair. On your next visit to Hershey, you must try the Hershey Pantry. Not planning on visiting Hershey? Take the drive anyway, you won't regret it.

Good club sandwich. Not loud but family friendly. Service was professional and courteous. The kicker from four to five stars is that they have a nice Christmas tree and Burl Ives playing in the radio.

We have attempted to do breakfast here, but every time the wait is too long, so we have passed. We made it here for dinner one night, and I have to say I'm a fan. My husband had one of the specials, tortilla crusted tilapia, and I had the filet w/ portabella mushroom and crab . Both were excellent. They had gluten free cupcakes for dessert that they make themselves which were so delicious that after I had one at the restaurant I took the rest home. Service was excellent as well. We will be back.

Wow! My family came for lunch. Everything was delicious. The place is small, quaint and very clean. The food was fresh and very good. We would definitely come again. Other than our B&B that we are staying, this is the best meal we've had while here in PA. The portions are large so you may want to consider sharing.

As we stayed right next door, this became our go-to spot for breakfast & dinner. The dinners we had were fantastic - the salads that we had were great - the Mexican salad, Honey Lime Chicken salad, and the Coconut Chicken salad were all tasty and filling. Breakfast-wise, we all had Cinnamon Rolls - they were HUGE!! 1 of them could not be finished - that's how big they were. All of our servers were extremely good, polite, and friendly. Definitely make sure you stop here to eat - expect a little bit of a wait, as it is quite busy. If you're there for dinner, their desserts are a must!

Summary: Best value restaurant in Hershey. Great food, great service, great prices, HUGE portions. Be careful not to order too much food because the prices do not reflect the value that you get. Can't recommend this place enough. Went here twice 11 years ago because it was so good. Came back last week and it's just as great as I remember. It started to rain and we were hungry after a long day of Hershey-ing. It was about 9 pm and The Hershey Pantry stays open until 10, and having visited it 11 years ago with my family and loving it so much that we went twice in the same 2 or 3 day trip, I was excited to go again. We went inside and were immediately seated in the small, oddly decorated diner-style dining room. We began looking over the menu as our server came by to introduce herself and take our drink orders. She went to go tend to them while we continued reviewing the menu to select. Soon we knew what we wanted. Lobster bisque - My wife got a cup and I got a bowl. I had totally forgotten how massive the portions were and was delivered a huge bowl full of soup. It was around $6. Amazing quality, great taste, and so much that I couldn't finish it because I was scared I wouldn't be able to touch our appetizer and my entree. Delicious! Taco fries - A giant plate full of incredibly delicious potato wedges (perfectly seasoned, textured, and cut), topped with diced tomatoes, seasoned beef (a little dry and overcooked), cheese, and sour cream. We got through about half of these before our entrees came out, but by then we were already pretty full... :( Cheesesteak - A large sandwich filled with sliced steak, grilled onions, cheese, and a tomato sauce (the sauce was kind of a strange topping, but it worked well). By this point, I couldn't eat the sandwich like normal, so I just ate the steak and stuff inside the bread. Very well cooked and very tasty. This also came with house-made potato chips and a pickle. I wish I hadn't eaten so much already. Ultimate Grilled Cheese - My wife considers herself a connoisseur of mac 'n cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches. She said that this was one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches she's ever had. Four types of cheeses inside, I think. Perfectly toasted. Also has basil or spinach and tomato inside. Comes with a side of pickle and chips. All of this food cost a whopping $36. This was one of the cheapest meals on our trip, but easily the largest and probably the second best (compared to a $$$ fancy restaurant in NY) restaurant we ate at on our trip. Amazing! Come eat here!

Fairly decent place. Lunch on 9/17/13. The pesto chicken sandwich was good but the chips that came with it were atrocious. They smelled of bad animal fat! Good service. This was my first visit and my expectations were high given the reviews from friends and family. Would be willing to try again.

Stopped by while my mother was being cared for at Hershey Medical Center. Was greeted warmly and sat at the counter. SUPER fast service and a yummy, perfectly cooked tuna sandwich (real tuna, seared and blackened, with tomato, lettuce, and old bay mayo on a sundried tomato bun). Tomato was missing but when I mentioned it, my waitress remedied it immediately. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked DIVINE! Really great experience. Super customer service and amazing food. I'll be back!

Awesome! We had a delicious breakfast here. Peet's coffee is brewed here; as in their other establishment across the street (desserts). I had eggs, home fries (best I've ever had) and sunflower toast. The kid's pancake is tasty but humongous! Everything came out in a timely fashion. The atmosphere is light hearted and fun - leopard print carpeting and dark wood tables/chairs. There are also cute items for sale lining the windows of the seating area. The staff are all very friendly. As we were leaving we saw the baked oatmeal with strawberries and cream... Looked amazing! Maybe next time.

We have been here 2 or 3 times, and the food has never disappointed. The made a mistake on my sons food order and quickly offered to replace the entire dish. Serving sizes are great, the deserts are fabulous ( must share with another person), and the lemon iced tea is great. We will definitely be back Word of caution they are not open on Sunday :(

Great Breakfast! The grilled Sticky bun was fantastic, the toast wasn't the same old run of the mill generic limp shingles, it was very flaverful, great texture and hot on the plate. The home fries also were cooked crispy, great seasoning and not to greasy. The coffee was full flavored, rich and hot. We will return.

  • Etzer D.

Every single item (food wise) is made from scratch), not sure what scratch looks like but whatever it is, it's really really good. You can't go wrong with any order. The pancakes are humongous, the French toast is to-die-for, and they even serve excellent coffee. The place is small and feels cramped. I'd be hesitant bringing a rowdy crowd to this place due to a plethora of breakable decorations. The place is packed for weekend breakfast so be prepared for a long wait during these hours. No issues encountered during the week.

Can't remember what we had the first time we came for breakfast but the last time we went we had the peasant omelet and the French toast stuffed with raspberry cream cheese, I believe it was. Both dishes were reeeeallyyy good. Good service and overall nice experience.

Will definitely be coming back here for breakfast. We came here for dinner on a short Hershey trip with two kids. I really loved it. Small, but very sweet and cozy. The food was wonderful. Hot and fresh. Seemed home made. My friend and I took the chocolate peanut butter cake and carrot cake home with us....OMG. Amazing. I had the caprese salad, and it was delicious. Came with warm pita bread. Yum. My son had the chicken fingers and fries. Amazing BBQ sauce came with it...piping hot and crispy chicken. My friend had the crab rangoon appetizer with amazing chili sauce as her main. It's closed on Sunday which was a BUMMER as we could have come back the next morning for breakfast. Great, great place!

Although I live about 40 minutes away, I try to get to the Hershey Pantry at least once a month. Breakfast, lunch, dinner... You name it! I have yet to be dissatisfied with my meal, my service, anything! The only downside is that it can be a bit cramped, but for the great food, service, and prices, I can overlook that without hesitation!

The food is amazing here! If you think it's a tourist trap it's not! This is a real mom and pop place where the food is made right behind you. If you come make sure you he Laurie has your waitress! She is so sweet and has great recommendations. The red pepper soup with Gouda is to die for. Don't miss up the opportunity to come to this place

Stopped in on a Saturday morning for breakfast around 10:15. You could see the crowd milling about as we pulled off of 422. We put our name in and waited outside. There is a space the size of two phone booths where you can directly inside the door, so most folks wait outside. Fortunately, it wasn't too chilly, but I could see how waiting during the dead of winter could be rough. Our name was called after about 15 minutes and the two of us were seated at four-seater near the door. The specials were impressive for you pumpkinheads and included pumpkin cream baked oatmeal and pumpkin pancakes with pecan syrup. After looking over the menu, we went with the pumpkin pancakes and the #1 special (two eggs, homefries, toast, and bacon). The food was pretty good, with the homefries being the shining star. The biggest issue here is the pricing. That baked oatmeal on special? $8.50. The pumpkin pancakes (three pancakes, no sides) were $10.00. The #1 special was right around $6.75 I think. Yes, the food was good, but I don't think it was that good. However, that doesn't seem to bother a lot of folks because there is always a crowd. Service was okay. She checked up to make sure everything was good, but ignored our empty water glasses. I think I'd like to come back and try dessert, but I don't know that I'd come back for breakfast.

Had a wonderful dinner! The portion size was great and this being our or at time were not ready for! If your getting a dinner that comes with a salad you won't need appetizers! All the food was great. Crap dip florentine for an appetizer! Salad with our dinner both house and Cesar would could and themselves could have just been the meal. I have the land $ sea (chicken with crab meat) which was very good and came with Parmesan potatoes. Wife got the seafood pasta in Alfredo, both wonderful but sadly we couldn't finish, so we took it home and are it later!

Food & service were great! Starter: lobster Mac & chz - creamy & delish Entrees: come with entree size salads. Really! The salad was huge!Dressing was fresh & greens were crisp! Crab cakes: YUM! 2 cakes very little filler Neptune Alfredo: huge bowl, fresh seafood & creamy sauce Salmon pesto: so much flavor Coconut shrimp: not a crumb left on plate Desserts were incredible! We indulged in chocolate cake w/ peanut butter icing, lemon filled cake & chocolate lava cake. Our server Kim was cute as a button! She was very sweet. We also enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. Only negative was waiting for our table. It was really cramped. But since the wait was only about 15 minutes & we had laughs with the other customers it is not worth taking any stars away. We will be back!!

Don't want to leave a bad review for this sweet place but I can't say that I really enjoyed my meal. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing (yogurt parfait and a cinnamon roll) but I can't say that anything warranted 5 stars. I could tell that the fruit in my parfait was canned, not fresh. They didn't properly drain the fruit either, so my yogurt ended up watery. The cinnamon roll was the only redeeming portion of the meal. The bread and frosting in addition to the cost ($4 for a HUGE roll) was amazing and the only part of the meal that is bringing it to a 3 star rating rather than a 2. In terms of service, we had a side of bacon that we didn't order delivered to our table and when we got the check, the bacon was still on our bill. Our waitress was no where to be found while we were eating, and she wasn't in a particularly good mood either. It put the whole mood off. I'll come back and try something else, but from what I've read, I just came on an off day and ordered the wrong thing.

This was my 2nd visit to The Pantry, the first being very forgetful... So, I thought I'd give The Pantry a second chance to impress me.... Unfortunately my review only gets worse. I saw a pic of the eggs benedict on this site and went for it... The eggs were overcooked, the yolk ?? a yellow golf ball , not runny as they should be....hardly able to cut it with a fork...... the homefries undercooked, the majority of potatoes were over peppered and raw, hard to do when you slice them thin, but never the less raw..... The waitresses were only refilling coffee for their patrons, we were passed up for a quick refill by at least 5 people carrying full carafe's of coffee..... And in the end The Pantry should be renamed The Shoebox, as it is smaller than our walk in closet..... People piling in to the front and overflowing into the dining area... less than 2 feet from the front door..... Not sure why there is such a following...... In the end, this will be my last trip to The Hershey Pantry.....

This is a great little family resturant. I generally enjoying eating here but the food can be a little bland and lack creativity. People are great and friendly. Having said this it's a good value in Hershey and I would rate it a 2.5 out of 5 on my foodie index. I give it four stars as I believe that most people will generally enjoy the food offerings.

Nice little place hidden in plain sight. If you're not looking for it, you may drive right by. Do yourself a favor and turn around and come back, trust me it's worth it! Had the "turkey, cranberry and swiss on cinnamon toast." Sweet and savory, hot and cold, crispy and melty. The amount of contrasts happening with is dish was mind blowing. Crazy good flavors too. My mom got the "Ultimate Grilled Cheese." 4 cheeses and a nice big red slice of tomato. She loved it. Capped off the meal with a slice of "Bailey's Irish Cream Pie." Not overly rich with just the right amount of sweet. This is the type of place where it seems anything on the menu would have been amazing, which is why it was so difficult to decide on an order. Go here if you are visiting Hershey. You'll thank me later!

Wasn't bad, but certainly expected more. I had an omelet and was the first time I've seen the ham as sliced "lunch meat" versus cubed...not a fan. Should have been grilled first maybe but it wasn't great. Also sat at the counter and didn't like listening to the staff complain the ENTRIE time. "They changed the bacon, there are too many of us working to make any money..." And bickering between the kitchen and wait staff. A constant stream to the point one of the staff looked at us and said, bet you didn't expect breakfast and a show. Wasn't the nice quiet breakfast we wanted, wouldn't go back next time in town.

WHY DIDN'T I TAKE FOOD PHOTOS! Seriously. First visit to Hershey, PA for - what else? - Hershey Park with the kiddos. Two families traveling together for a 'last hurrah' before school start in Connecticut. Service - stellar. Food so good I think I can remember what all 9 of us had and that is rare. I started out with the soup of the day - a crab, feta florentine sensation. SO GOOD. Best thing eaten on this entire trip by anyone. Adult grilled cheese good too. Other standouts - the Reeses Silk Pie - good lord. The kids chicken tenders were also shockingly good. Typically you've seen one nugget you've seen them all - these were actual chicken AND the kids loved them. At the end of the meal the kids got homemade Oreos without us even asking! Friendly, speedy service, accommodated a group of 9 at 6pm -- excellent experience. We'll be back!

I was staying at the hotel next door and I popped over here one night for dinner. Surprisingly there don't seem to be many dining options in Hershey PA. To start the service was excellent from the second I walked into the restaurant. Very nice and cheerful servers. My server was helpful with suggestions. I ordered the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms topped with a Hollandaise sauce and came with a Caesar Salad. While I enjoyed the mushrooms, they became a little overwhelming towards the end. That being said the flavors were still excellent. The prices are a tad high, but still worthwhile. The ambiance is kind of like an upscale dinner, but it is a little tight for space.

We failed to plan ahead. We tried all over Hershey to find dinner one evening after an afternoon at the Park. We arrived shortly before closing, but the staff was pleasant, but warned they were out of some of the items on the menu because it was so late. The fact that they are out of menu items at the end of the day actually made me happy since it means stuff made fresh daily and that it is a popular place. (It was still crowded even that late). The food was spot on and I would have loved to have tried dessert but the main dish was so big and filling I even took it back to the hotel with me. We did have a bit of a wait for food, but overall a wonderful experience.

We arrived at 10am on a Saturday and were told that there would be a wait of 30-45 minutes. Tables became available both inside and outside simultaneously, and we opted to sit in the screened-in space to enjoy the lovely summer weather. The Italian Stuffed French Toast was surprisingly light for what it was and certainly tasty. The Egg Sandwich on Grilled Sundried Tomato Bread had delicious, soft bread, but the eggs were prepared a little too thinly for my liking.

The Hershey Pantry has become one of my favorite places to eat in Hershey. Please don't come here expecting The Palm. This place has good simple homemade meals and desserts. I came here two days ago and ribs were a special. I asked what was better ribs or a chicken dish. The waitress was honest and said the ribs haven't received the greatest reviews. I went with the chicken dish. My fiancé went with a burger special which looked amazing. We started off with the taco fries which was huge and a lot for 2 people. We also ended with the Oreo cake. Everything was good. Worthy of 4 stars. Just not 5.

If you read my last 6 weeks of reviews, you'd conclude I am a fat pig who routinely gorges himself on absurdly large restaurant breakfasts ... Well ... I did it again and the Hershey Pantry did not disappoint. I had everything - like everything on the breakfast menu and it was all good. Place is cozy and nice. Food was great. Service was excellent. I don't know what else to say. Well, yes I do - I wish they served booze. It was hot as effffffffff today and I wanted a mojito. Mojito would have made my day. 5 star otherwise. Thanks for a great meal!!!

This place was more then I expected. From the warm welcome to the moment we paid for our bill, the customer service was excellent and the food, to die for. It was a today, a busy early summer Thursday when all tourists are having their breakfast share before hitting the great attractions Hershey's has to offer. It was 2 of us dinning and we either had the choice to have a little wait time to be seated, yes it was full because it's so good, or we could sit at the bar counter, we chose that. The moment we sat, Louis, our waiter was extremely attentive and customer service oriented. He displayed a smile at all times and his relaxed manner of taking care of us made me feel like I was a frequent customer with whom he had interacted before. He pleasantly took our order and just the way I love my servers to be, he didn't even have to write down all the changes i made to my modified combo order. I had the meat lovers omelet, Yum O. I just substituted the eggs for whites and American cheese for Swiss cheese. My friend ordered combo #4, WoW that was a HUGE plate that contained, 2 big fluffy pancakes the side of a plate each, 2 sunny side up eggs, home fries the home style way, almost 3 big slices of scrapple and 4 wheat toasts. Man that plate was big and yummy he said! Louis never forgot about us, ensuring he refilled our coffee, checking that our hunger needs where met and even with the busy morning and challenges that the kitchen can come across with, he ensured that he delivered his service with a smile. Our food did not take long at all, and we were extremely pleased with not only the service and amount of food but also the quality, which says a lot about a place. I will definitely be coming back to the Pantry in any future travels. Warm hospitality and great service is what I pay for. You should check it out as well. You won't be disappointed.

Very cozy and quaint restaurant on sweet Chocolate Ave. Their menu is very diverse and the service was pleasant. Short once star because I felt it was slightly over priced for the inconsistent quality of some of the items on my dish. My chicken and asparagus was fantastic, however the pasta that came with it was over cooked and felt soupy. Personally, the sauce would have tasted better if the pasta was a little more al dente. Instead, it made it taste like Campbell soups canned creams. I will not fully critique the dish since it can see how it may have been a momentary oversight for the cook. Other than that, the bread that comes with the meal as well as the side salad that was included with my entree were perfect. My kids had shrimp and corn soup. After adding a dash of salt and pepper it was perfect. I also felt the soup needed a bit more shrimp, but over all it was tasty. I will certainly give this place another shot and try other entrées. It was lovely and the patio is very pretty!

Really cute setting with generous portions.., the pancakes are giant. The potatoes and meats are excellent but pancakes were too thick and large to have flavor. Not bad overall though the long wait on the weekend makes it less attractive as an option.

Went here with friends for brunch today. Food was excellent; service perfect. Prices were really good too. My 10 yo daughter has never had enough food on the kids menu till today. Her chicken parm was adult size and she couldn't eat it all! First time ever. I had the Baked Oatmeal with Peaches n Cream. To die for. I live it when a restaurant lives up to their rep..

July 2007: The Hershey Pantry certainly went beyond my expectations. Although my boyfriend and I arrived just before closing time, we were welcomed with smiles and seated promptly. The restaurant itself is just darling, if not a tad bit cutesy. Teapots in all shapes and colors line the windows that wrap around the restaurant, while the center tables have their own pretty knick-knacks. The place is rather snug, with low ceilings and tables in relatively close proximity to each other, but we did not experience any discomfort (I don't know if it's because the tables are spaced apart enough or because there weren't that many diners). Our server was smiling, even though we were her last diners on a Saturday evening. The restrooms are very clean. The food was delicious and tasted very fresh, which is a welcome break from the fast food we usually eat when we go to an amusement park. It was well worth the effort of leaving the park. We ordered the seafood bisque, mozzarella sticks, and cheese fries. My boyfriend ordered the cheesesteak and I had the rosemary chicken sandwich. The seafood bisque was well-done but not extraordinary--tender scallops, tiny shrimp, and I think some fish, in a creamy soup that was, to my delight, not overseasoned. It came with a cute breadstick. The mozzarella sticks were pretty typical, although the extra attention to its presentation made it seem more special. The sauce was served in a margarita glass, and the sticks came out from the sauce like flower petals. I really recommend ordering their fries. I was sort of expecting something as typical as McDonalds' but instead, we got a heaping plate full of fresh fries, lightly battered, lightly seasoned with old bay, and sprinkled with grated cheese. After my boyfriend took a bite of his cheesesteak, he looked slightly disappointed and when I asked him why, he said "it tastes real. You'd like it." I took a bite and I thought it was superb, but he was expecting the typical greasy mess of a sandwich that you can get with pizza and got something that seemed like it was the health-conscious bistro version. Tomato sauce added some zip to it and it came on a multigrain roll that they had probably baked. If you're not addicted to junk like he is, I'm sure you'd like it. I thought my sandwich was heaven. I don't think I've ever had a better sandwich--a little salty, a little sweet, with hints of creaminess, and deliciously fragrant. The rosemary foccacia was pretty good, the chicken was tender and juicy, and the decision to pair it with brie and apricot sauce was unexpected, but completely appropriate. Tasty! I'm sad to say I was too full for dessert, but if I ever make it back again, I will make sure I leave room. The prices are great considering the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Our bill didn't come out to $40.

Well, after some hours in the car, I turned to Yelp for my dining needs in Hershey, PA. You'll find almost every restaurant in Hershey is well-received, but something about the Hershey Pantry stood out. The location is unassuming, I'd say easy to pass by. I noticed there is porch seating, but we opted to sit inside. The inside is very cozy. I realize this is said in a whole lot of the reviews, but really, it is. I had the potato soup, fairly standard soup which can't be messed up, but was really delicious nonetheless. I also had the roast beef with horseradish, onions, and cheese on an everything bagel. Wow, it was delicious. The sandwich was pretty huge, as was the bowl of soup, but it was so good I had to finish it all. The bagel sandwich came with chips and a pickle spear. My companion got the grilled cranberry chicken salad with poppy dressing. Absolutely delicious as well, as I had a fair amount of their serving. The little lemon poppy seed bread/cake that came with the salad was great too. There's practically nothing bad to say here. Highly recommend this treasure.

This restaurant on the outskirts of Hershey is not only super cute, but super tasty as well. I had breakfast, but they serve lunch & dinner as well. In back, they have a screened in patio for al fresco dining. It's filled with plants & looks nice. We sat inside. I had the mixed berry pancakes (blackberries, strawberries, & blueberries). They were filled with the berries & topped with fresh berries (none of this frozen/syruppy stuff I usually get). They were also topped with fresh whipped cream. These are my new favorite pancakes, too bad I don't live closer! I also had the home fries, which are served as thin rounds (they look like chips), and those were good as well. I LOVE that water is automatically served with a lime (usually it's lemon & the lime needs to be asked for). My dad thought everything he had rocked as well - sourdough toast, coffee, homefries, & a Western omelet. Service is very friendly. Our server was so nice. Just a note, breakfast is a little more expensive than I am used to for breakfast - $7.50 for 3 pancakes! But portions are huge & everything was delicious it, so it was well worth it.

Place is cute/quaint as many have indicated. We were there during the week for breakfast and it was busy (must be a zoo on weekends). It seems to be a favorite of the locals. Food is good and the service was good as well. I had the french toast and my wife had the pancakes - both were good, but my preference would be the pancakes. We sat in the house part, but there also is an enclosed patio on the back which would have been a little less crowded.

I went here this morning, based on the previous reviews for this place and it was really, really good for breakfast. I too received big portions. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The coffee was a very nice blend. The eggs were cooked to my specifications and I liked the hashbrowns very much. The meal was brought out about 5 mins after ordering it and it was hot.

Thanks to great reviews here on yelp, we decided to try it out and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was very homey and quaint. We were in town for a show at hershey theatre and was in a rush. The waitress was very accommodating with our expedited request. My wife had the "High Tea" special which was $14 and worth every penny. My son had his cheeseburger which was very reasonable and he enjoyed it. I had the pantry club and it was delicious. I'm not a fan of multi grain bread but because the flavor was so wonderful, I actually enjoyed the toasted bread. Our only disappointment was that we were in a rush and couldn't enjoy the experience longer. We will definitely come back when were in town again.

I loved this place and I cant wait to go back to hershey, pa just for this place. best breakfast I had in a very long time.

Wow, this pleasant little outdoor experience was really impressive. Great food, friendly and a comfy setting. Our family really enjoyed the homemade food and definitely left full. A nice relief to the overly commercial Hershey World. Really good prices for the great favors, too!

We went here for breakfast based on the motel owner's recommendation. The menu was interesting and the food was good. There was a long wait but I guess it was worth it. Our server, Louis, was excellent.

ENJOY!

Just wonderful! Great service and very good and delicious entrees. We had a group of 8 and were their last table, they were very gracious and we did not feel rushed despite the fact that we kept them working almost an hour passed their closing time.

I had the roast beef panini, with Brie, apple slices and cranberry sauce. What a great combination!!! The food is always great here with very nice sized portions. I definitely like eating here.

Yelpers got it right with this restaurant. Great food, friendly staff, large portions. I had the Haddock sandwich and the wife had the Flounder dish. Both very tasty and well prepared. Dinner was highlighted with free xtra large oreo cookies! Will post those cookies when I get a chance.

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast on our way through Hershey. It is a cute restaurant that is full of character and charm. The portions were good sized very tasty! I had an egg sandwich on a fresh and warm pretzel roll (very PA)! It came with flavorful fried potatoes. My husband and I enjoyed this great find.

  • Kelley S.

  • Bill H.

  • Faith F.

I could eat their stuffed Italian French toast every day. I would quickly weight 400 pounds, but it might be worth it.

Nice setting, but overrated, pricey. Coffee watery, cinnamon bun looked good, disappointing.
