The owner contacted me very shortly after my review to apologize to me and explain what happened. Everyone has bad days, but the fact that he reached out to me to explain what had happened and apologize for being rude, not everyone is like that.

HOLY MOLEY! The Hellertown Lunch Box has THE BEST sandwiches. Looking at the menu the prices look a bit high but when you see the sandwiches you know why. They are huge! I work in the area so when I order from here I'll call it in and go to pick it up. I've only ever had to wait once past the time they said it would be ready. Normally it's ready when I get there. The guys who work here are always amazing. They say hi as soon as you walk in the door and surprisingly for how busy they are, they guess which order is yours. I always order the Buffalo Chicken Sub. The bun is nicely toasted, the chicken is always cooked perfectly and smothered in the buffalo sauce. They also add lettuce. With the sandwich you get an entire BOX filled with fries. I hardly ever finish the sandwich alone. The fries are always shared with my co-workers. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Brisket bbq was mostly fat and I ended up throwing it out. Perogies were awesome. I might try this place again and perhaps it was just a fluke that my sandwich was crap

My wife and I got sandwiches here today, my wife a cheese steak and I got the mountain hawk. They were both AMAZING. We are so thrilled to have such a fantastic place like this in our neighborhood.

Pulled off the highway to get a bite to eat and found this little gem. Well worth the short drive. Simple, thoughtful food. If I lived nearby I'd be a regular.

Amazing food with a welcoming atmosphere. I was visiting from out of town and actually went here twice. Food was SUPER tasty and the staff is better. I had the bbq brisket sandwich and my boyfriend had the cheesesteak. Both were incredible. Definitely a must while in the area.

I grabbed lunch here on Tuesday and it was awesome! I ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo and the cheese steak. The food was prepared quickly and the gumbo was brought out first. It was so good...it was a cold Pennsylvania day and that gumbo was steamin good! Great flavor and the perfect thing to have for lunch! The cheese steak was brought to the table as soon as I finished the gumbo. I took the first bite and may have fainted for a brief second. It was THAT good! The Philly cheesesteak ain't got Nothin on this bad boy!! I finished it and honestly had to resist the urge to order another one...maybe two for the road haha. The guys working there were super nice and asked how everything was and if we needed anything else. Great hospitality and service! Would Definitely eat there again. Delicious!!!

My husband and I eat here a few times a month however today was the day i felt compelled to write a review because WOW lol. The food here is unreal! Everything is made in house...the meats, the soup etc. We love that they have different specials everyday and are never dissapointed. If your looking for fresh food that is different from the everyday, go to The Hellertown Lunch Box. You won't be dissapointed!

I was working near hellertown and decided to google reviews for lunch for me and the crew. So glad I did!! Best Italian hoagies I ever had! Even my husband loves it and he doesn't reAlly like cold cuts. Great place and great food!!! Def.. Be back again!!!

Very high quality, fresh ingedients! Nice selection/variety. Good prices, friendly service. Love the "mountain hawk" sandwich! Turkey sliced thin like cold cuts but roasted fresh in house so it tastes like your mom's best thanksgiving ever. Amazing sesame hoagie roll . . . Trust me, it's divine! Yea, you have to park your car and walk in- it is SO worth it! Ditch the drive thru and forget wawa.

My wife and I came here about a week and a half ago. She had a hair appointment down the street, and when we came out I told her I passed it before and wanted to try it. Well my dad always used to say you must try everything once. This was one of those "once" times. It's only a little hole-in-the-wall Deli so I didn't expect much. But while we were eating our sandwiches we heard very crude and honestly disgusting rhetoric coming from the owner. I know it's only a Deli but take it in the back if you are going to talk like that. 2nd was the overpriced bland sandwiches. Now I know they are just sandwiches but at almost $10 my wife said she could make better ones in our kitchen... sadly I agreed! I hope I can spare someone the trouble of visiting here.

My husband and I are huge fans of the Lunch Box. It's right around the corner from our house so we frequent the Lunch Box often. We've never had a bad meal here and we've brought lots of family members along with us and they all agree. I love the chicken salad hoagie, it's huge, definitely enough for 2 meals. My husband loves the cheesesteak hoagie! Great business and we are glad to have you so close to home!
