Food was good, they had gluten free options which were good for my wife. Service was a little slow but they showed sincere concern for my wife's gluten needs.

I ate here with the family before making the drive back to Philadelphia. Being in the Lancaster area we decided to try a local diner, seeing as how the surrounding farmlands would grace local restaurants with some of the freshest, tastiest foods available. Boy were we wrong. They were able to seat us right away, even though the hostess insisted on telling me there were in fact many reservations for Mother's Day (It was 5:00PM), which is one of the reasons I'm giving this place two stars. I ordered a queen cut of prime rib, having passed about 4000 cows on my way here, I was excited for a locally produced cut of beef - boy was I in for a disappointment. Never before have I seen such a sinewey, chewy, gray, and bland piece of meat - it tasted of flash frozen disappointment, and was served in a "au jus" that was nothing more than garlic flavored water that had so much oil in it I'm amazed the US Army didn't invade it. It was served with an order of mashed potatoes that were at one time a powder most likely. This was all served with a slaad bar which was quite basic; I cannot complain too much because of the price, but again I was hoping for something more local than what was being offered. I'd also add that the desserts looked quite tasty and from the cake I had, it is clear that they at least put effort into one thing here. All in all, I would not try this place again, and recommend against dining here, except for maybe a quick slice of cake and coffee.

My hubby and I are a fan of diners and I finally convinced him to go here last Saturday evening. We were on the way home from a failed attempt at eating at another restaurant that had a 1 hour, 45 minute wait. So we decided to give this a go. Not your typical silver-metal old-American diner, but similar menu. It's got charm, since it's built around an older house. We were seated in the old porch area that is now enclosed. The menu is quite large and the prices were competitive. The salad bar was small, but clean and our favorite of the evening was their crab bisque soup. Quite yummy and it rivaled a cream of crab soup that I had in Maryland once. I will return just to have that soup if nothing more. Wait staff is friendly. We will be returning and will probably make this part of our favorite rotation. Fancy, no. But with a few table-cloths, a few candles and if the lobby area was neater; this could easily turn into a classy and trendy restaurant!

My husband and I stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night. We were greeted and seated right away which was nice. We were seated out on the porch. Once we were seated I noticed that the window looking out to Route 30 was so dirty I really couldn't see out of it clearly. Then the window next to that one had blinds that had portions of the slats missing. I tried not to look anywhere else and looked at the menu which was quite extensive. My husband ordered the roast turkey which when it arrived he said that it was really dry, even with gravy on it. I had the fried flounder which was very heavily breaded but was ok. Our waitress was a little flighty. When we asked her what the soups were that day she said "I don't know, I haven't looked yet" and she just stood there. After our meals we waited for her to come and take our dessert order but as she walked by she placed our check down without asking us. When we flagged her down to ask about what desserts they had she again said "I don't really know what we have tonight. There is a case out in the other room if you want to go look there." We told her that was ok and decided not to have any dessert. Their loss. Overall, we probably won't be going back. I think the place really needs a good cleaning and upgrade - at least they need to wash the windows and replace the broken slats on the blinds! First impressions.....

Stopped in at a diner down the road for this one. My wife wanted to stop there for "old times sake". After seeing the dirty building and horrific Yelp reviews we drove down the road to 4 Brother. And I found a new favorite food joint! Excellent, fresh foods. The burgers are some of the best that I have had, and had unique toppings. There is a small salad bar there for lunch as well, which comes with many meals for a small charge. Great, fresh deserts too, available at your table or from their display case for take out. Fast and very friendly service. This stop is now a regular when traveling from lancaster to KOP and Philly!

Visited for dinner. We were the only quest. We were seated promptly and the waitress was pleasant and attentive. My wife ordered a cheeseburger and a salad bar. The burger was good but the salad bar was not very fresh. I ordered a BLT Club and a house salad with thousand island dressing. I received the BLT which was good. About ten minutes after I finished the BLT the waitress brings this huge tossed salad and asked " oh, what dressing did you say you wanted....thousand island? We are out of nearly everything but we have RANCH. This is our last night open - we will be closing." I do not eat Ranch dressing. Usually you receive your salad first. I did not touch the salad. We understand why this restaurant is closing - it should be!

Not great, not bad. Salad bar is often not super fresh, but the soups have been good. It's kind of a heavy meal type place. Diner. We go for a change of pace now and then.

Stick with the fried food! We had the 3 for $20. 2 entrees and an appetizer. We did potato skins and they came with cheese sauce(like nacho sauce) not cheddar cheese as was on the menu. The two entrees were a steak cooked medium and came lukewarm to the table. The order was medium rare. Avoid the Brussels sprouts at all cost: soggy! Baked potato was old. Other entree was pasta Alfredo with chicken. It was okay. Kids had chicken fried steak and chicken strips and onion rings. Think they got the best deal. Waitress was very nice.

This is a great place to lose your hunger! Soup was fresh and flavorful, salad bar sufficient, but the entree was amazing! We had eggplant parmesan & linguini, meatball parmesan sub& onion rings, chicken parmesan& linguini, baked flounder, bacon with ranch hamburger & fries. All were very delicious we all came away with full bellies and Togo boxes. There is no way you could leave here hungry.
