I love the food. The river view from their deck is awesome! The Silver Fox Red Amber Ale taste great! Of course their food is amazing.

I visited here a week ago with the intention of have a nice dinner with grandparents. The restaurant is beautiful with a serene setting on the Allegheny river. Our waiter was friendly and very attentive. As for the food, it was over priced and mediocre. My husband ordered the halibut and liked the fish but the fries were too garlicky. My grandma ordered the salmon and enjoyed it but said the vegetables were cold. I ordered the bbq chicken and only decent item on the plate was the mashed potatoes. The chicken were two small tenders with Kraft bbq sauce and a ton of cheddar cheese and a strip of bacon. (Chincy) it was served with cold vegetables and good red skin mashed potatoes. The best meal was my grandpa's steak, but for $25 I'd hope so. We spent over $150 and it would have been better to just drive to a chain restaurant, maybe they buy/ sell the same food as Applebee's. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe my feelings. I will not be visiting here unless it is to go to the great winery next door.

This place is a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Not only is the food amazing, the view and building are second to none. Chicken Marsala is my favorite dish, but any budget can enjoy a great time! 6.50 pitchers of beer on Thursday are great!

We decided to travel to Allegheny Grille to celebrate our two year anniversary of opening our small business. We had visited before when it was Foxburg Inn and didn't have a good experience. We were seated immediately, and our waiter was very kind. We got our appetizer very fast, it was stuffed banana peppers. We like a little heat, but these were super hot, so we took got them wrapped to share with someone at home. We waited for an hour for our food until we asked someone where our food was. He came back and told us it would be out soon. Ten minutes later, it came out and wasn't exactly the way we ordered it. But at that point, we had to leave soon, so we ate it. We got crusted haddock and sliced Turkey. Everything was very good. They apologized and offered to buy us dessert, but a that point we were so irritated that we told them this was the second bad experience and that we probably wouldn't be back. They then came back to our table and told us that they were going to pick up the tab and apologized again. We told them that we wanted to pay for our meal, that we weren't looking to get a free meal, and we asked if it was typical to wait this long for your meal. They told us it wasn't and that there was a mistake in the kitchen. They apologized again and gave us a gift card and invited us to come back again. I was COMPLETELY impressed!!! Comping our meal was the right thing to do, giving us a gift certificate was above and beyond what they needed to do. But most of all handling the situation with INTEGRITY was amazing to me. The fact that they were able to say that there was a mistake was more important to me than a free meal, and we will definitely be back and recommend Allegheny Grill.

Deserves 2.5 stars probably. Food choices limited, but Friday/Saturday they 'feature' prime rib, which was good. Nicely done, ie not over-cooked, mashed potatoes or french fries, salad or cole slaw, all fine. Service, slow, competent, sllghtly on the surly side, but ok. The problem with prime rib is to keep it medium rare, if that is what you want, and yet have it come to the table hot. Rareness here was fine, but the meat was barely lukewarm. It came drenched in an au jus sauce, which I should have told them to put in a dish on the side. Or down the sink. The real downer, the wine list. Avoid, drink the miller light if that's is what you have to do. Wonder if they allow byob and what the charge is. Foolishly I ordered a glass of the red, cab, $7.50. Couldn't finish it Ordered a Woodbridge cab. Left it almost untouched on the table. Just a waste. Maybe the way to go is to bring your own hot gravy in a small thermos, your own wine, and give them special instructions on getting your feed hot to your table. Great view of the river though!

Such a pretty place in an area without many choices. We enjoyed our dinners, took home leftovers to be able to eat dessert! My Mom dined with us, and we appreciated the elevator to get down to the dining room level. Our table had a nice view of the river so we got to watch the canoers as we ate. There was a wedding reception in the tented area outside which looked lovely, and didn't interfer with the diners inside. I'd recommend it the Chopped Salad. My mother and husband both enjoyed their meals as well.

We ventured off Route 80 to find a reasonably nice place to eat. We were pleasantly surprised to find this jewel in the midst of rolling country. The signage was lacking but the atmosphere inside and outside on the deck was wonderful. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food quality was very good. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan and the Grilled Riverside Chicken. The Grilled Riverside Chicken was really a wonderful choice and would recommend it. The Chicken Parmesan was also good but we had to ask for extra marinara sauce which was quickly brought to our table. The portion sizes were generous. All in all I felt the 9 mile trip off the interstate was time well spent.

Stopped in for a light dinner after being at the winery. I got the quesadilla and my mom got the chicken salad. Both were decent and the service was friendly. Sitting out on the deck was great and gave the experience an extra star.

Lazy Sunday, perfect weather, we decided to go for a little drive to Foxburg. The Allegheny Grill is located right on the banks of the river. We arrived early enough to get a table on the patio. The view is amazing, the trees are beautiful shades of green. Very relaxing seeing an occasional kayak slip by or a fishing boat looking for a new spot. Our server was very nice. BJ was happy with the beer choices. I got chicken tenders from the appetizer menu. I was surprised at the size, very big. I also ordered a small side salad which was huge and very fresh. BJ got an Angus burger with blue cheese and bacon served with fries. The food items we ordered was good, but not impressive. Next time, we would like to try their pasta. More then anything, this is a very "charming little neck of the woods" type of place to visit. Be sure to roam around the grounds of the Inn next door and check out the candy store and art gallery. Lots to see and enjoy in this tiny little part of town. Loved our visit to Allegheny Grill!!

Located in the small town (total population: 275 people) of Foxburg, PA is their ONE & ONLY fine dining restaurant: Allegheny Grill. A two-story log cabin-esque building overlooking the Allegheny River makes this restaurant the ideal place to get a window seat or dine on the patio and enjoy the picturesque view of the nearby river and surrounding lush green mountains. On location alone the place would get 5 stars, but i wasn't as wowed by the food. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but it's A-OK as the 3 star rating sums it up. The Allegheny Grill serves up what i'd like to think of as you're typical 'American' cuisine: anything grilled, lots of pasta dishes, and sandwiches (remember Bill Knapps's?). Anyhoo, looking over the menu many of the prices were surprisingly steep for this small town restaurant, about $17-$20 per entree, with no sides or apps included...yikes!!! : / Based on that we decided to split the $18 Balsamic Beef Kabobs (i know i can't believe this place sold kabobs either), but our waitress informed us that the dish had sold out for the night. Just peachy! So we opted for the Panko-crusted Haddock (nice crispy crust but fish was overcooked) and an order of Penne Pasta with Chicken (fresh basil, thinly sliced garlic, smokey sundried tomatoes, and pretty tasty). Overall decent food, pleasant waitstaff, and amazing view! p.s. they have an outdoor patio with a full bar, where you can stop by, have a drink (or two), and enjoy the beautiful serene landscape.

We live fairly close to this establishment and frequent because there seems to be something always going on in this little town: Art festivals, wine festivals, summer music etc. The food is traditional American with lots of grilled and fresh ingredients. Always a great view and better atmosphere on the patio. The wait staff is very friendly and professional. There always seems to be some event going on when we go (wedding, reunions) but we've never had a hard time getting a table. Be sure to go to the art gallery, wine shop and maybe take in a Segway tour of the historic area or canoeing on the Allegheny. Great day trip for P'Burghers.

My wife heard about this place from a co-worker and suggested we give it a shot. We arrived early enough where a reservation wasn't required at the moment (4:00 PM on a Saturday) But this place fills up fast on the weekends and I would recommend one if you are showing up after 5:00PM. This riverfront restaurant offers a great scenic view of the Allegheny River. To start, we ordered the Asiago, Crab, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, which comes with hand cut tortilla wedges. the appetizer was well seasoned and just plain delicious. For the main course, I ordered the Ribeye which was tender and cooked perfectly and my better half ordered the Salmon. She was equally impressed with hers. The service was excellent, and the view was very nice. A number of small shops around the restaurant made for a nice afternoon out.
