I came here for takeout. Mesquito Grille has some of the best wings I've ever eaten. And this is coming from a huge chicken wing fanatic. The southwestern rub is to die for, and the regular hot sauce is phenomenal as well. Also -- garlic parmesan sauce? Brilliant. Wings are crispy, meaty, and you can down them by the dozen. However, the reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because of the AWFUL front counter service that completely tainted my experience here. Let me explain... I came here to pick up my order around 7:45 on a Friday night. I had called ahead about 40 minutes ago, and everything seemed to be going well. I entered the little take-out lobby and was greeted by three girls at the counter who couldn't have been older than 16. I say I'm here to pick up and they give me my total, a number that whizzes past my head and screams "hey, I'm a LOT more than I should be" but because I had such a large order I didn't think much of it, and I hand over my credit card for processing. After it's done, my girlfriend turns to me and goes "that sounded like a lot" and I asked the girl if I could have a look at an itemized version of the receipt. She ROLLS HER EYES at me and asks sarcastically "why, is something wrong?" while staring at me with some juvenile open-mouth expression that looked as if I had just told her that Miley Cyrus can twerk better than her. Um, yeah, you probably just overcharged me so let me look at the receipt you dumb bimbo. She prints out an itemized receipt and it takes her a while. She keeps giving us condescending looks as if we're making her perform some arduous task that is not part of her job description. Finally we get the itemized version and see she charged us for 30 chicken tenders, as opposed to wings, when I had clearly ordered wings. I tell her this and she glares at me and goes "no you didn't." I stare back, bewildered, and reaffirmed that I did in fact order wings and not tenders. she goes "uh, I HEARD YOU. YOU ORDERED TENDERS." wtf? just give me the wings. this isn't a big deal, i'm not mad at you, I just want chicken wings She rolls her eyes again and rudely yells "well then you're going to have to wait, right? because we have to make it all over." Fortunately the other two girls were total sweethearts and apologized for the mix-up (which was fine -- I wasn't mad at all -- I just wanted the food I had ordered) and began to work right away on the new order, which actually didn't take long at all (maybe 10 minutes tops??) Good thing the wings are so ridiculously good to justify this type of front counter behavior. PLEASE, Mesquito Grille, reconsider the type of people you are hiring to control take-out.

They have great wings and a great drink/beer menu. I love that they have Rugby games on TV often and have fun outdoor seating too. Overall, a great place for watching a game and enjoying a beer and some quality bar food.

So now that I've returned to being a carnivore, I can say the wings I had tonight were so incredibly good. I'm anxious to try the other dry-rub options (tonight I had the hickory BBQ) I've had the friend pickles all over town (MOMS, Hickory) and these are the best. Thick slices, crisp breading- yum!! Beer selection is amazing as always. The owner clearly appreciates sitting down and breaking meat, bread and beer with people.

5 stars for BEST BBQ pulled pork and wings in the Doylestown area!

This is an interesting building with its triangular setup on a corner in Doylestown. They tout a great beer selection and menu that will provide you with any brew your heart will desire. I'd imagine this place can get tightly packed during the peak hours, but when we visited at 5:00 on a Saturday evening, it was a nice quiet place to enjoy a few drinks and talk with friends.

fun place, great wings (and a great variety), wonderful location. crowd tends to be a little on the young side, as is the staff ... so it may get loud sometimes or your waitron may get lost in the sauce. the upstairs roof deck is really fun. I've tried things other than the wings, but prefer the wings over all.

This is my favorite joint in Doylestown to hang out with friends and family. The wings.... Oh the wings... I've been to Duffs and Anchor bar in Buffalo and this place is better. My family and I love the wings. I enjoy the hot wings because the flavor is memorable and unique. My wife loves the spicy honey and the kids like the teriyaki. I've been here more than 50 times and the great waitress they use to have has left and the new staff is waiters are nice. The beers are the best in Dtown. Nobody compares. The outdoor seating is fun on warm days and they have an outdoor tv. Nachos are good and the sandwiches are always a hit. The ribs are meaty and not fall off the bone. Good smoke flavor with a unique BBQ sauce. Highly recommend this place. The next best bar could be found in Philly or NYC but the wings still wouldn't compare.

Their only saving grace is their french fries. Been there a few times and every time the service is sloooowwww. They overcooked every burger and steak at the table (5 total). Not a destination stop, it was purely convenient.

This is one of my favorite spots. Great beer selection. Great wings. Solid pub food. Nice little deck upstairs. It's a bar so it can be loud, families, kids, you name it but it doesn't try to be something that it's not.

Food is always awesome. Today the service sucked. Our waiter brought our drinks then food and we never seen him again. Ate my lunch with an empty glass. Had to find the hostess to get our check. Horrible, horrible service.

Mesquito Grille was just okay for me. The wings are great, but the blue cheese - arguable the most important part of the buffalo wing experience - was tasteless and strange. I could hardly tell if it was blue cheese. Not a good sign. We ordered a rack of ribs and fries as well. The ribs were mediocre at best - extremely tough, too tough. Could hardly get any meat off the bone. We were told the fries are like Chickie's and Pete's fries without the cheese sauce. They weren't. Not even close. The atmosphere of Mesquito's, however, was lovely. We sat on the roof and had it to ourselves. Unfortunately it meant we were fairly ignored by the waitstaff. Had I been in a different mood, I would have more unfavorable things to say about the service, but I was relaxed and in no rush. Anyway, long story short, I wouldn't go back. Maxwell's on Main has WAY better wings and a better overall menu.

Went here last year on a Thursday nite and the place was packed. The beer selection was excellent and the bbq was good. This year, I went on a Friday at lunchtime. It wasn't crowded, but they were out of my first three beer selections. The bartender was friendly, but not particularly knowledgeable.

Deeeeelicous! Sit on the upstairs patio! Best wings this side of the Mississippi River! Tremendous staff. I would recommend this place!!! If you are in Doylestown try it.

Pretty good. I had chipotle honey bbq wings and the nachos and they were pretty tasty! Decent beer selection. Good prices and good service. If you want a relaxed pub environment with some good beer and wings, this is a good spot in Doylestown.

We have finally found good wings in Bucks County! Wide variety of beers (tap & bottles) and a full bar with some top shelf options. I haven't had a chance to sample the entire menu, but what I've had so far has been good. We'll definitely be back.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my parents after apple picking at Peace Valley winery. We ordered a mix of food to share- wings, ribs and BBQ chicken. The wings were delicious! Every other comment is right on par- we had the garlic Parmesan and the honey barbecue and both were scrumptious!! The ribs were good- not the best I've had- but good. I think I was hoping for baby back ribs, these were really big and tended to be a little more fatty than I would like. Chicken was good but, again, not the best I've had. Our server was really nice and friendly. However, he didn't seem to be that knowledgeable about the menu- maybe he was new? Also, not a big deal but we were over charged on our extra sides (3.99 instead of 2.99) and they didn't offer to correct it, just apologized and said he didn't know why that happened. (Maybe that also attributes to his newness?) Finally, my last complaint was- our runner dropped off our food on the table and when he put the plate down with our wings- three wings fell off of the plate and on to the table. The runner "ran" away and didn't apologize or offer to get us a few to compensate. Not a big deal but I think that lacks courtesy. Overall, the wings are great and I would probably come back to eat some wings and have one of their many available beers. I was satisfied, but I do think they need to train their employees a little better.

I had been by here a billion times and never been in. They have a very decent selection of beer on tap and bottled, and tasty wings! They had some truly amazing specials for EuroCup, which was also pretty exciting. I will be returning for some more wings next time I am in PA.

  • Joe O.

We regularly come here for, what had been, the best ribs and wings in Buck County. While the ribs and wings on a recent visit were prepared perfectly, the ribs were so fatty and different from the quality of meat served in previous visits. We will be back, and hope this recent visit was a fluke.

Best wings in the area without a doubt, especially the garlic Parmesan Bar area quite lively good selection of beers If you want a bit more peace and quiet go upstairs or to the right bar

Good food and great prices Get the RIBS(halfrack is more than enough), they are delicious, and ask for a side of hot sauce, its awesome. I have been here many times and have gotten the ribs everytime. Their wings are great too with my favorite sauces being the frankensuce, and spicy garlic parmesan. Only thing is that its not open on Tuesday? strange. -no need to ask for wet wipes after your done eating your ribs because they have them out already on every table. -I wish they had better soap in their bathrooms, it is a BBQ restaurant and good sudsing soap is essential to easily removing sauce from in between your finger nails. -They also have a great selection of beers Would defiantly recommend Mesquito Grille

I haven't tried this place in years because the last time we went it was horrible service. There is a fixed priced menu for lunch which is way over priced and food is OK. It will be a long time again before I ever go back. Too many other places in Dolyestown that are much better. Service isn't great either. Would not recommend.

Mesquito Grille is a pub and restaurant located where three streets intersect. There's two bars and seating on the first floor. Dining areas are available on the second floor and there's an outside balcony too. They offer a variety of wing styles (honey, barbeque, buffalo) and levels of piquantness (mild, hot, very hot, suicide). The chicken is tender and of high-quality. The suicide wings are NOT to be trifled with! I was in tears after a few bites (and I can handle my hot food!) - it's very difficult to eat but worth the experience since they're also tasty. Get a small order of suicide wings to sample. This place has the spiciest, tastiest buffalo wings in the entire state. Period. Go there now just for the wings. Anyone can make wings hot (just soak 'em in wasabi for two hours...) but to make them both spicy and palatable? That's a feat. They offer a few pasta dishes (can't go wrong with a penne with a light sauce and capers), the odd soup, a nice assortment of "standard" appetizers, and an excellent gumbo. Their nachos are excellent. New Orleans gumbo is tangy, didn't really taste this much. Ribs are excellent, meat comes right off the bone! Besides the so-so service (it's generally good once you get their attention), there is no reason not to go. Highly recommended.

Stick to their wings, cause the rest of the food is nothing to write home about. Asked the waiter about their "special" Beer Battered Fish & Chips, he gave me the thumbs up, so I orderd it. When the food came to the table, it looked damn good, but that's about the best thing I can say for this meal, it LOOKED good. I had to send it back, there was no way it could be eaten, and in the course of doing so the waiter said exactly this, "I'm sorry, what's the problem.... is the fish still frozen in the middle". Come on, really!! Frozen Cod for fish and chips, on the special menu none the less, horrible. One thing to have something bad, or under cooked and whole other thing to find out they are using a frozen fish for a special. Go here for the the wings and the beer selection, period.

Definitely love the bottle selection they have as far as beer goes, makes it an attractive place for me to visit once and awhile. Wings are very good, lots of selection for flavors. They always have sports going, so its an ok place to socialize and catch a game considering its size. Check it out on a nice day and try to dine on the outside deck up top! Mesquito Grille has been around for a while now, and I don't see it leaving anytime soon :)

The Mesquito Grill has - hands down - the best wings and variety of wings to be had anywhere. The only thing more varied would be their beer selection, they have imports there on tap and in bottles that you wont find many other places. The balance of the food is all good, for as many times as I have eaten there I have never been disappointed. OK, here's the rub. Its really loud - except at lunch - and sometimes I am convinced that there must be a black hole in existence on the premises because I have had servers simply disappear....some nights I have actually ordered two beers at a time knowing they would never make it back before I was done with one (and I'm a slow drinker). The place to avoid if you want to keep your hearing intact is the main bar (on the left as you enter). On a warm day or evening its always fun being on the second floor balcony. Your best shot of getting a seat there in the warm weather months is to get there early (430 on the weeknight). It s a treat being out there and from my experience it tends to draw the most interesting characters; I always seem to do a lot of laughing on the balcony. If you cant get a seat order the wings to go and grab a few bottles of your favorite Belgian import; it will be as good and most likely quieter!

Decent food - get their wings, they rock! Beer selection is exensive and not too expensive.

Loud, with a great beer selection and reasonable pub food. That's the thumbnail review. The first thing I noticed was the musical assault when we walked in on First Friday, and headed toward the bar area. Next was the case with bottled beer, with a variety of Belgian brews I was definitely not expecting in a place like this. OK, that will guarantee at least three stars. The bar is kind of cramped, based on the way the building is shaped to fit in the corner of that intersection, and it was pretty tough to have a conversation, even with not many people present. But the food was ok, and I liked sitting up against the windows and watching attractive swatches of humanity walk by in my favorite town.

  • Ashley C.

What a great selection! They definitely have something for everybody on the menu, plus a list of specials every week. Their buffalo wing sauce is the best. I try wings almost every place that serves them, and I keep going back to the Grille for more. It has the right about of heat with a smokey BBQ flavor in the background. There are a ton of flavors to choose from too. The bar is small but always filled with good people and the service has never disappointed. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and I love to sit on the outside deck upstairs when its warm.

Havent had anything but the wings...takeout for Eagles games and they are so good. Cant wait to try all of the flavors, definitely the best we have had since we moved out of the city and to the burbs (and they rivaled and maybe even beat a few of our fave philly spots)

The food is OK. The wings are above average. If time is not a valuable commodity than you will enjoy waiting for your food.

  • Spencer L.

This place got the trifecta - poor service, poor food, and long waits. Not enough wait staff the night we were there - and the staff was young and inexperienced. The bartender for instance was waiting on three tables himself while attempting to tend to a very busy bar. The food was bad even considering this is really a tavern. Gumbo with beef in it and no seafood? Also if you're a vegetarian - forget it - they have one vegetarian friendly offering. The one thing that saves this place is their beer selection. About the best beer selection you can find. My recommendation - go to pick up beer, but do dinner elsewhere.

I'll start off by saying that I've been to this place a few times, at the bar, for take out and eat in and they do have great wings. The attitude of most of the staff leaves something to be desired though. The hostess/greeters at the front door must be related to the owner. It's the only explanation I have for the reason she/they are still employed there. I've never been greeted with a smile or made to feel welcome. It's as if I was a stranger stopping over at her house on her day off to ask for something to eat. I was there two nights ago with some co-workers and while our waitress was okay the bus boy who came to clean up while we were sitting there was not. Not only did this guy think it was fine to reach over people to clear the table, he also thought it was okay to enlist our help (in a less than polite manner) to pass stuff to him he couldn't reach. All of which took place before we even had our check. Who does that? As I said the wings are good, the overall attitude isn't.

    (3)
  • Kyle H.

The wings keep me coming back for more. Make sure you get them crispy with a side red hot. If don't like the thought of eating chicken off the bone, the tenders are a close second. For the beer snobs out there, the Grille is the place to go in D-town for their wide variety of micro-brews and imports.

    (4)
  • Brenda F.

The food was ok. I had the pork bbq sandwich, and it was tough to chew and the bbq wasn't very tasty. My husband had the fish and chips and he said it tasted very fishy. The beer-battered pickles were good, however.

  • Brian R.

I've been to the Mesquito half a dozen times and always enjoyed the place. The service can be hit or miss, but the wings are amazing and you really can't beat their beer selection, both on draft and bottled. The atmosphere is nice although it can get pretty loud inside. There are two bars downstairs that are usually rather busy and a dining area upstairs that is a little tight. I'm definitely a fan and would recommend trying the wings along with some rare brews, great place!

    (4)
  • Greg B.

Much improved of late. Pub grub is good, and they really manage their draft beer selection well--- always something to like. The upstairs patio can be a slice of heaven on a nice breezy day. The gumbo is surprisingly good and authentic, with a nice bit of heat to it. The "insane" wing sauce is more like "somewhat disturbed," quite nice for someone who likes spicy stuff. Really good fries. The current crop of waitstaff has it together.

    (4)
  • Kelly B.

A small restaurant/bar located on a triangle, with street parking. Most dining is upstairs, even including an upper deck during nicer weather. The food is average, Including the wings. They do have a larger variety of beer than most. Service is only ok.

I've been to this place a bunch of times. They have several nice bar areas and a very extensive list of beers. Most recently, I went to Mesquito Grille on a Saturday night, around 5 pm. (There was no wait this time since it was so early, but you will have to wait longer to be seated if you go at a later time.) I have always been pleased with the selection of wings they have to offer, but decided to try something new this time. I ordered a hamburger that came with a slice of pepper jack cheese, hot peppers, and chili. Trust me, the chili and burger were both nothing to rave about. The chili didn't have much taste and the burger was very dry tasting. How disappointing! I did order a side salad instead of fries. The portion of the side salad was excellent, and the lettuce was fresh, green, and crispy. I was with 2 other people and here is the breakdown of what they ordered... Companion # 1 - Cuban tacos which consisted of pulled pork in taco shells. It came with refried beans and spanish rice. Companion # 1 said his entree was very tasty and enjoyable. The meat was fresh and cooked just right. Companion # 2 - Grilled chicken sandwich with french fries. The chicken was moist and the roll was soft and fresh. The french fries were beer battered, always a plus and quite delicious. (I even tried a french fry! It was really yummy!) If you're in Doylestown and looking to try some new types of beers and tasty wings, this is the staple of the area for these two items.

Greatly enjoyed my first visit. Sunday night football. I ordered 10 wings which were delightful with my two Belgium beers.

Mesquito Grille is my favorite place in Doylestown but I can only give it 4 stars because of the inconsistent service. While the food has always been great the service can be sketchy at times. Their wings are definitely the best in the area (dare I say state?) but they usually have really good specials and their entrees never disappoint. I've never had anything on the menu that I didn't like. Beer lovers will appreciate their large selection on its own multipage menu. If the weather is nice when you visit try to get a seat on the second floor balcony. If not, any other room is great except the bar in the front of the building which gets crowded and noisy during big games. If you live anywhere even remotely close to Doylestown you've got to get out here to try the wings!

Just ate there the other day. Cool place and I can tell it's a local favorite. Little cramped in certain places but I think this place has a lot of character. I had the Bennigan sandwich (this was so huge and I can eat a lot) and my wife had the pulled pork sandwich. We also had some wings for appetizer. Sandwiches were good but I tell you what, get the WINGS! They are really really good. I had the spicy garlic and chipotle, both were tasty, moist and good sizes. The spicy garlic one was the best though. I can only guess but I think they make good food all around so I plan on a second trip. Yea and they have a very good beer selection from what I've seen.

Three words - love the wings. This place has hands down my favorite wings, and I've had my share. On top of that they have an seemingly endless beer menu. If you're into bar food and great beers, this place is by far the best spot in Doylestown.

I was very pleased with my visit to Mesquito Grille. Two weeks ago I came up to Doylestown to catch up with friends before the chaos of the holidays ensued. We found ourselves making way into Mesquito Grille for lunch. It was a Saturday early afternoon and We sat up stairs in the "Eastwood Room" which featured Clint Eastwood inspired memorabilia and a very large tv!! (The sports fans in our group were thrilled.) As we got settled in we immediately began to be in awe over all the possible wing choices. Our waitress approached us with a very cheery smile on and was a great aid to help us come to a decision. She was very excited to help us. Although Mesquito Grille does not have a beer sample list, she was very quick with her beer knowledge of the extensive draft list and allowed us sample a few before we agreed on a pitcher (which turned into several). On the food front, we ended up with the Spicy Garlic wings, Spicy Honey BBQ, Smoked Chipotle, and Sesame Terrayki. To come to a conclusion we were very satisfied. The Spicy Garlic wings left a memorable taste in my mouth, we were all raving about them. Group Favorite!!! I must say upon my next visit to Doylestown I will be making a stop at Mesquito Grille, the rest of the money besides the wings looked awesome. The filet sand which and the pulled pork really caught my eye. Overall, the wings were out of this world!!!! The beer list is awesome and the waitress let us know it is ever changing and we feature a lot of great seasonal beer finds both on draft and in bottles..so when you find one you like..you can most likely go down to the front of the restaurant and grab one from their take out selection. The restaurant was very clean and the Eastwood Room had great lighting. The service was as good as it gets. Our waitress was attentive and truly wanted us to have a great experience, the bus boys were a pleasure and worked around us even though we were a little bit messy! I have been raving about all aspects of Mesquito Grille. Great job guys!! Cheers to you!!!!

My boyfriend and I will sometimes make a special trip to come here -- it's a good 45 minutes on the train from where I live -- because the wings are really good and so is the beer selection. It's also very pleasant to sit on the upstairs deck on a summer evening, with the trees and lighted windows all around. But I agree with the poster from CA -- the service here is weird and it should be addressed by management. The hostesses have a funky attitude and twice we've been treated very rudely by the entire waitstaff, who don't mind showing their irritation at anyone daring to stay till within a half hour of closing. Um, it's a bar. If you want to be at home tucked up in bed before 11pm look into a different line of work. On one occasion the busboy was totally stoned and acting accordingly paranoid and inappropriate. It's a shame because it's in a lovely location and the general feeling of the place is chill. Like I say though, really good wings.

Went for lunch on 4/6/12, and hit the wing menu. Great wings! They were cooked just right, and the size was spot on. I did the 20 wing lunch special, doing half Parm garlic/ half honey BBQ, with insane and BBQ smoked chipolte sauces on the side. No worries, I took 10 home. My only regret was that they didn't have yuengling lager on tap. I thought that was a state law???

Mesquito Grill deserves 3 stars as a restaurant and 4 as a pub, the inherent problem being that they are trying to be both. This is an awesome place to watch soccer, hockey, football etc., eat some of the best wings on earth and drink from a large beer menu. My wish and suggestion to Mesquito Grill is that they not only accept the fact that the establishment should fully be an awesome bar but EMBRACE it. ( I am sorry to say Pasta dishes and most other non-pub food falls short of average; while burgers, wings and fries are dangerously good)

  • Linda C.

This would have received a 3 star, but I hit this place for lunch instead of for dinner. I wouldn't recommend lunch. It smells like a frat house the morning after a party. I am sure for evening times, when it's dark and more time for 'sports bar, beer and wings'- it's probably alright.

I have to say I was very disappointed with my dinner there. I ordered Grilled Cajun Shrimp on Skewer and I when it arrived, the shrimp did not look right. I expected highly seasoned fresh shrimp that had been grilled. What I got was shrimp on a skewer that was not prepared correctly and no seasoning remotely close to Cajun. Against better judgement, I did try one of the shrimp. I still dont know what qualified it as Cajun shrimp but I did send the shrimp back and asked for sautéed Cajun shrimp, thinking i had a better chance of it being prepared correctly. I rcvd the same shrimp back, still on skewer only this time it appeared to be microwaved. By this time I lost my appetite so I took a doggie bag home which I promptly discarded when I got home. Very glad I did as I had food poisoning within an hour of being home. To be fair, my husband and son did enjoy their meals but then again, they did not have anything with shellfish. I don't think I'd brave a second try.

I wish this place was closer to me all though my liver is thankful it's not. There is two reasons to go to Mesquito Grille. 1.) Wings 2.) Beer. The rest of the menu can be hit or miss. The service is good but expect a wait on the weekend as there are not to many tables. There are two bars a relic from when smoking was allowed in restaurants. The beer list is huge and the taps are ever changing. The bartenders cal tell you what's just been tapped and what's new. Plenty of 22oz bottles as well and they do have take out beer as well. The wings themselves are a good size and the sauces are great. I'm partial to the garlic parmesan. There are a few TV's to watch the game in the bars but not a lot. If you are a beer geek bring a DD or take the beer home as it's easy to put back a few strong brews here and quickly become buzzed.

Beers are tasty... but they're tasty anywhere... Their wings used to be... let me say that again... used to be good. Their salads and tex mex dishes are tasty. The only time it's worth not taking out is if you're on the balcony or in the 3 boothed 'English' style pub where they always have a soccer or rugby match on. The service is adequate, nothing to rave about.

I return time and time again for these buffalo wings! Fried to perfection, unique tangy sauces and an extensive beer selection to please. I can't quite ever get the chance to take photos here because I'm always scarfing food down, but it's a must try. The hours here are sketchy, but they get so much business they can afford to be closed a couple days a week. A lot of items on the menu are homemade, in addition to wings me and my fiancé split those tasty hand cut french fries with a spicy-sweet blend seasoning and of course a side salad for me. The croutons and dressing are homemade and the Russian is my favorite. They have outdoor and bar seating for events, they don't take reservations and the only thing lacking for another star is the staff. The staff is young, inattentive for dining service and would be best fit for "grabbing a beer and leaving you be" kind of service. Other than that I get lucky with an experienced waiter and the food is ALWAYS delicious so I will return and reccomend.

One word......GUMBO!!! Not only is gumbo a unique menu selection and hard to find around this area to begin with, but the gumbo here is FANTASTIC!! One bowl is a meal in itself! The wings (as many other point out) are some of the best in the area....particularly the garlic parmesan (get them with extra sauce so you can really smother them and get a really full flavored wing) I also need to make sure I mention the ribs! Especially rubs in the southwest dry rub! So tender.....so delicious! Why not a five star review considering all of this? Unfortunately....they have little to no dessert selections. After wings, or gumbo, or ribs sometimes it's nice to have a little something sweet. Not an option here....which is a shame because with how great their food is I can only imagine what they could do with a dessert menu!

First time there last night and will not be my last! Great beer/drink menu, young guy that served us was very attentive and the wings and ribs were excellent!! Flies were annoying but to be expected when there is an outside and the doors were wide open. Fried pickles are a must as well!!!!

We have been here before, but today's experience was subpar. The first table we were sat at, had ants crawling on it as we waited for our waitress we killed 3-4 of them. The moved us to another table. We ordered and got our food. Half way through found another ant and were fighting fruit flies the entire meal. At one point there were 5 fruit flies on our table. My boyfriend loves the Porky's Revenge burger, though....but gross experience tonight.

My significant other and I have had the pleasure of eating at Mesquito Grille on a couple occasions and I cannot express how nice it is to have an above average BBQ place in Doylestown. However, I cannot say the same about the front counter service. This young lady was more interested in making out with her boyfriend than helping out customers. As we were already checked in, I was able to watch her interaction with fellow patrons and was appalled. Her boyfriend blocked the front counter initially then moved slightly to side to allow PAYING customers to inquire about a table which she blatantly ignored to walk him outside. I have seen her been rude, ignore customers, roll her eyes and be the opposite of what any respectable hostess should be. I believe this place would be a 4 or 5 star if it wasn't for this particular employee

Great Frankensause wings. True story: I was sitting at the bar watching the TV eating some Frankensauce wings and a huge 2.5 inch ( I measured him) cockroach crawled along the bar right by my plate near the beer taps. Now most people would have freaked the hell out, but that's how freaken good these wings are. I just kept eating making sure that bastard didn't get any of my wings! I can't speak to more than the wings, beer and my friend the cockroach. But all three seem to be pretty good there.

Very cute place. Staff is very friendly--our server, a cheerful guy barely 20, was extremely helpful with our menu questions and had great suggestions. Wings are PHENOMENAL! My brisket wrap was very good and so was SO's chicken sandwich. They must've had lobster mac as a special, because I don't think it's a regular menu item...this was admittedly not great. Didn't matter though, the rest of the meal was very good. Will definitely return.

Here's what you need to know about the Mesquito Grille: Great wings, spicy with flavor, not just spicy to the point of annoyance. Vast beer selection, bottles, drafts, seasonals. The staff is very knowledgeable about them as well to help you make a great decision. Awesome Burgers. I keep going back for The Royale. Great flavor combinations and fresh toppings. Cowboy Fries...just try them. They have GUMBO!! Cool atmosphere, especially for the soccer fan. I've been going here on and off for the past 5 years and now that I live practically down the street, I am happy to say I will be here more frequently. It's definitely in my top five for Doylestown's best restaurants and a place I like to take people who come to visit. Fin

My family calls its home Buffalo, NY. So naturally I have been attacking wings since I was a toddler. These are hands down the best wings you can find in all of the Philadelphia area. Nothing comes close. Their fries are also exceptional. Their blue cheese is house made and unbelievably good. PRO TIP: Order the dry rub with a side of hot sauce. Wings will be super crispy, and you can allocate as much sauce as you want to each wing. Nom nom.

Pros: - Top 5 wings place in the country (please, someone argue that). Normal, hot and frankensauce are my favorite. Still waiting for them to do the southwest dry rub with a wet sauce on top. Request well done - Great beer menu that is constantly changing. - not sure what they put in the balsamic vin salad dressing but it's awesome - Cool bar downstairs and rugby room upstairs highlighting doylestown rugby club Cons (which still don't deter my 5 stars due to wing quality): - A little underwhelmed with other things on the menu but then again, I'm going for the wings - Service can be spotty at times... Seems like a high staff turnover - blue cheese is sub par for the wings but I don't thing they even need it

We regularly come here for, what had been, the best ribs and wings in Buck County. While the ribs and wings on a recent visit were prepared perfectly, the ribs were so fatty and different from the quality of meat served in previous visits. We will be back, and hope this recent visit was a fluke.

This is one of my favorite spots. Great beer selection. Great wings. Solid pub food. Nice little deck upstairs. It's a bar so it can be loud, families, kids, you name it but it doesn't try to be something that it's not.

I haven't tried this place in years because the last time we went it was horrible service. There is a fixed priced menu for lunch which is way over priced and food is OK. It will be a long time again before I ever go back. Too many other places in Dolyestown that are much better. Service isn't great either. Would not recommend.

Pretty good. I had chipotle honey bbq wings and the nachos and they were pretty tasty! Decent beer selection. Good prices and good service. If you want a relaxed pub environment with some good beer and wings, this is a good spot in Doylestown.

The wings keep me coming back for more. Make sure you get them crispy with a side red hot. If don't like the thought of eating chicken off the bone, the tenders are a close second. For the beer snobs out there, the Grille is the place to go in D-town for their wide variety of micro-brews and imports.

The food was ok. I had the pork bbq sandwich, and it was tough to chew and the bbq wasn't very tasty. My husband had the fish and chips and he said it tasted very fishy. The beer-battered pickles were good, however.

A small restaurant/bar located on a triangle, with street parking. Most dining is upstairs, even including an upper deck during nicer weather. The food is average, Including the wings. They do have a larger variety of beer than most. Service is only ok.

Best wing's in dtown! Outside seating is a plus!

Best wings in town. Awesome beer selection.

The food is OK. The wings are above average. If time is not a valuable commodity than you will enjoy waiting for your food.

This would have received a 3 star, but I hit this place for lunch instead of for dinner. I wouldn't recommend lunch. It smells like a frat house the morning after a party. I am sure for evening times, when it's dark and more time for 'sports bar, beer and wings'- it's probably alright.
