Great drinks and outdoor bar atmosphere. I almost always get a burger at Knight House and I'm never disappointed. The french fries are likewise tasty. The last time I was at Knight House I got the prosciutto flatbread. Like the burgers, the flatbread was delicious and perfect alongside a cocktail.

Wow! I had quite an exceptional service experience. We went to the restaurant for my wife's birthday and the waitress, Jessica, was absolutely fabulous. She was willing to get beers on draft from the sister restaurant next door in the rain and she was really nice throughout the meal. The review would have been 4 stars for the food had it not been for the service and the drinks. The prosciutto flatbread with caramelized onions, manchego cheese and dijon aioli were to be remembered and ordered again and again. Manchego and ham are an incredible combo. I wasn't positive about the age and quality of the prosciutto but with the rest of the ingredients it fit quite well. The bread at the beginning was good and the olive oil is a must skip (definitely not EVOO and must have been 4th pressed olive oil when nothing was left but a seed but they needed to squeeze on)! The BBQ pork shank was good because of the BBQ sauce and the flavor of the pork. The shank could have fallen off the bone but that's okay. The mac n cheese was to die for according to my wife (globe traveling mac n cheese aficionado). The dessert we could have skipped because we were too full from the meal. Creme brulee was runny and not set. More of a pudding then a custard. As for the chocolate trio... they could have focused on one thing and made it exceptional. The chocolate mousse was my favorite but I could have skipped all of it. I would recommend going. Check out their Facebook discounts and specials.

My uncle has been raving about the $1 martinis at lunch for a long time now. I finally was able to get down there on weekday and partake. I must say other than the fabulous $1 martini deal the food was amazing. I love that you can get sushi and American fare. I had the sushi lollipops and the lobster mac and cheese. I highly recommend this place. Also the oyster shooters are a huge plus.

Came at 4PM, six of us, all ages. Place was fairly empty though there was a party at the place next door--owned by same people, I hear. We sat inside and they pulled a coupla tables together for us. Inside is kind of cramped and stuffy. That is the only thing wrong with this place. We ordered drinks and decided to have soups and salads and sushi rolls/app's. Without exception, everything was delicious, perfectly prepared, and presented with flair. The shrimp cerviche was a highlight, packed with cucumber straws and other veggies in a delicious to-die-for marinade. Calamari literally melted in my mouth, cooked perfectly. Terrific salads and soups. Mussels served in delicious broth with crabmeat and chorizo---fantastic. Service was prompt and courteous. Had not been here in awhile, will not stay away this long again. Sushi Rolls were better than average, though I preferred the other tapas we had. Taste is the thing here, not trendiness. Nothing to see here except simply great tasting food

First and foremost I do nor usually prefer expensive places, the Knight House is my exception (and a big one as it can get very pricey). That said, it is worth it. I have been there five times, only once for lunch, but said lunch was fantastic, a classy salmon wrap sandwich. I digress, as the last time I was there is the one I'll review. It is a little hard to access on busy nights, as is everything in the town, and parking can be annoying, but when you finally get there you'll find it casually upscale. The staff is always nice, it is always clean with a nice atmosphere and I have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for a table, even on First Friday, the busiest night in the town. I ordered the seafood bouillabaisse with chardonnay and saffron, and my mother ordered the crab cakes and lobster. Both were fantastic, but the bouillabaisse was the winner with scallops, salmon, clams and possibly more I forgot. The portions are not large here (not small though), but they do not need to be. The dessert "shooters" were new as our waitress mentioned (she was a JOY the entire night) and they were perfect. Probably 2 and a half square inches of cake heaven. I had the chocolate and my mother had the spice cake. I would take anyone you want to impress there; they will be hard pressed to find a better dining experience.

I took a date here for Valentine's Day We started off with oysters which melted in the mouth. Then we had a couple of very nice strip steaks. The bar has a very friendly crowd, and an awful lot of single women alone for valentine's day. Lovely place with a nice upstairs dining room.

i've been here a few times, but since i was reviewing the new 86 west, i needed to review this one as well. 86 west is essentially the sister restaurant of the knight house. i originally had reservations at 86 west, but since that place was too loud and crowded, my party and i switched over to the knight house instead. they were really accomodating and very nice about the whole thing. the three of us ended up at a large round table meant for six. it worked out perfect, since we ordered a bunch from the new sushi and small plates menus. from the small plates menu, we got the calamari, tuna tartar, beef carpaccio, and cheese plate. the calamari was cooked well but the sauce was okay. i love the tuna tartar here. i had never tried beef carpaccio, but it was awesome. plus, anything with aoli is tasty. also, i heart cheese. i also hear that the mac n cheese is fantastic, but haven't gotten it myself. from the sushi menu, we got the spicy tuna and salmon+avocado rolls. they were pretty standard. we ordered two special rolls as well. my husband loves spicy anything, so we got the red dragon and tuna crunch rolls. they were awesome. it was much better than i expected from a non-asian restaurant. we'll definitely be going back. if you're doing the same thing we did (ordering a bunch of different plates), you might want to ask for a big table!

We popped in here on a beautiful day. It was a completely random destination for us as we were just wandering the streets looking for a place to eat. The back patio was great! Partially in the shade, partially in the sun, so you can choose. Service was attentive. I had the red snapper sandwich with chipotle aioli that was delish. The highlight was the french fries...skinny, hot and crispy....which to me is how french fries should be. Prices were reasonable for lunch. 2 bevs, a burger, fish sandwich, tax and tip came to about $35. I think the price is reasonable partially because they let us sit and linger for a couple of hours and their fabulous back patio!

My brother and I stopped in to the Knight House on the evening of Memorial Day, May 27, 2013. We had been out all day touring historical sights and just wanted to have a few beers and a nice meal. The hostess took our names and said it would be about a 45-minute wait. No problem, we'd wait at the bar. This is where the bad experience started. The bartender, who reminded me of a cheap knockoff of Elvira, the Mistress of Darkness, came up to us, after ignoring us for about 2-3 minutes. There were about half a dozen people at this bar that seated 20, so it's not as if she were overworked. She brusquely took our order, then proceeded to slop the beers down in front of us, getting spilled beer all over the bar. We asked to see a menu and she tossed it down on the bar in front of us and walked away, saying something to the effect of "there's not much to look at there." We should have walked out there, but not wanting to make a scene, we sat there and waited to be paged. We ordered a second beer and Elvira refilled the glasses we had (no clean glass) and slopped THAT beer on the bar in front of us. She didn't wipe the bar down, no apology and no follow-up on whether we had looked over the menu. How we had the patience to last that long, I don't know. Maybe we just wanted to be treated like shit that day and were gluttons for punishment. Who knows? After about 40 minutes, I went to see the hostess to see how long it would be before we could get a table. She was gone. The hostess stand was gone like it had never been there. I saw another employee and asked when we'd be seated. She said, and I'm paraphrasing here, "The kitchen ran out of food so we're not seating any more diners." I said that we were already on the list, and she reiterated that they weren't going to be seating any more diners. I asked, "When were you going to tell us?" She replied that she was really sorry, that they wouldn't be seating any more diners. Broken record. So we asked Elvira for the bill, paid her (NO tip, needless to say) and left. Obviously we'll never patronize this place again, and will dissuade anyone else from doing so. If I could give this place zero stars I would, but one star was the lowest I could go. I just can't say enough bad things about the Knight House. Brian Mesko, Richfield, MN PS: After returning home, I received a call from a gentleman named John, who identified himself as the manager at the Knight House. He was very apologetic about our experience and offered to buy me dinner if I should ever return. Since I live in Minnesota, that likelihood is not likely. However, John was a stand-up guy to try to make amends, so I thought I'd write this addendum. I forgot to ask him though, "What ever happened to Elvira?" I hope at least that he had her read my review. Maybe she'll get a clue.

Waited fifteen minutes before someone poured us water and took our drink order. After that, felt very rushed. Server did not describe specials or soup of the day. Food was decent. I ordered a seafood bisque (good, but a little salty) and a cheeseburger, medium rare (came out medium to medium well) on a yummy brioche bun. Server did not offer dessert, I had to ask for it. Ordered the creme brulee, which came with a huge mound of whipped cream on top with a sugar cookie. Overall, wasn't thrilled with the service or food, but maybe it was just an off night. Might possibly try again.
