From the restaurant's website 9/25/15 "Dear friends of The Seven Star Thanks for all the memories, We closed The Seven Star Cafe Dinning Room at the historic Baron House. September 13th was our last day. Continue to follow us on Facebook for updates As we consider where to relocate we hope no one will begrudge us a small vacation break. Maybe a month or two."

Went with my husband and our teenage kids. Everyone liked their food a lot! Highlights were; homemade salad dressings, wonderful organic beet salad; all fresh locally grown produce; wonderful cod cooked perfectly and excellent ribs, piccata, ribs and shrimp scampi. Local artist paintings and friendly staff make for a nice, homey atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Praise be, we took home multiple servings of the cream of corn with leek soup & a limoncello cheesecake square - it let us extend our experience of delicious food & delightful service beyond our Saturday lunch! Instinct brought us to the Seven Star Cafe, our experience will bring us back!

This was my husband and I's first time here and it was excellent! Food and service was impeccable. Our waitress's name was Sam and she took great care of us; she had great suggestions for the what to try on the menu and gave us the best service! We had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin and it was AMAZING!! Loved everything about the place! We will definitely be back!

So we did eat in and unfortunately to use the bathroom I had to walk my 3 year old through a smoke filled bar! A bathroom is key for any restaurant and not having one easily accessible with no smoke is very unfortunate. We will not be dining in again. Would still do take out though.

Fantastic little hole in the wall place. The decor is very rustic and full of comfort. For an appetizer we got the bruschetta mozzarella- out of this world! Ordered the crab cakes which came with 2 sides. The crab cakes themselves were pretty small, but absolutely packed with flavor. For my sides I got a Caesar salad, which was very good, but again very small. I also got French fries which were good, but a smidge over cooked. However the reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is due to the unacceptable time we had to wait for our food. After the waitress took our order it was at least 20 minutes until our appetizer came out. I find this off as there were only two other couples in the restaurant. Overall: great place.

Excellent spot. Nice atmosphere for lunch, dinner or coffee. The food was outstanding. On the specials was crab cake & steak combo which was excellent and the taco salad I had was great. Nearly everything is homemade and fresh. Really great meal.

I could not tell you I had high hopes for this place, because I really didn't. My family and I were walking down main street and first went into Good Earth, and they were out of what I wanted so I left in quite a huff. On the way home my husband suggested we go there; because they had some outdoor seating so I said okay. The menu made me a bit nervous at first because I wasn't sure if any of the items were actually going to be made in house, or if it would be diner quality. Wow wow wow wow wow was I happily wrong. I am a good cook, not like celebrity chef level or even brag worthy, in my opinion. But I've yet to serve a meal my family hasn't liked and I'm pretty much always pleased when I cook for myself. Being that I can cook I don't like to order stuff I can easily make. The special was Organic grilled chicken breast with mushrooms (ew fungus), spinach tortolini and zucchini, topped with gargonzola cheese and red pepper. Now I was assuming it would be a chicken breast whole with cheese on top and and roasted red peppers thrown on it. Almost like chicken parmesean, at least that's what I assumed. My husband had a crab cake sandwich and Kelly ordered a Ceasar salad. Her salad was above average on the salad spectrum for sure. His crab cake was on a fresh roll and the inside was overflowing with crab meat, his even came with coleslaw, which he normally hates, but he loved it so much there were no left overs. My meal however was fought over by the three of us, the whole time. It was simply DIVINE! The gargonzola was turned into a sauce with pureed roasted red peppers, the chicken was seasoned perfectly and was chopped into bite size pieces. The mushrooms were sliced as was the zucchini, and the tortolini was mixed evenly with the other elements of the dish. It's sauce was perfectly proportioned so nothing was drowning nor dry, and I found myself dipping mashed potatoes in it. If I could have an IV of that sauce I would, it was that damn good. I literally was fending off my table mates because it was so delicious. The server, Jeff was beyond inviting and quite the host, which just made the experience all the better. He strongly recommended desserts, which the mere thought of made me ill, as I was so full. But we gave in to temptation, Guiness Cake, and Apple tart (or something like it I can't remember it's name it's GF and the first thing on the list). I tried the Guiness cake, but that type of thing is not my favorite. However my two partners tore it apart, and proceeded to argue over who deserved more frosting. Now my apple tart, was so freaking good I didn't even share a fork full with them. Oh my lands, delicious slices of apple with a crust beneath them, a delicious bourbon sauce, topped with this oatmeal rich crumb topping, AND ICECREAM! It was gone in about two minutes. To top it off the desserts were super cheap, which made me want to order five more. But I have self control, yeah not really. Let me tell you in all seriousness, never have I been to a restaurant where I was this pleased. It isn't stuffy, overly fancy, or a dive by any means. It does have a club reminiscent to an elk lodge attached, so be wary the inside is a bit tobaccoo-y. But the plus side is booze is cheap if you ask to have a guest pass. We were warned you need a reservation on Friday and Saturday nights, which is no shock because it's worth the wait. Get here soon before it is impossible to get a seat, your gut will thank you! Oh and it's not expensive so you truly enjoy it without wallet shock. I LOVE YOU SEVEN STAR CAFE!!

Cute place! I went to check it out with my mom and son on a trip back East to visit family. Coopersburg is all nostalgia for me - the first house I lived in and my elementary school are here! When we walked in, I did definitely notice the scent of cigarette smoke, as another reviewer mentioned. But I also noticed there were a couple of outdoor tables (it was a beautiful, sunny day out) so we sat out there and the smoke scent was quickly forgotten. Our server was entertaining and nice. Good was very good. We got the coconut shrimp app (though fried, they were still light and crisp). My mom got the crab cake sandwich which she enjoyed, my son got the beef taco special (I tasted it, it was very good), and I got the chicken cheesesteak. I now live on the West Coast and I just don't even try to get "Northeast Food" out there, anymore. So when the opportunity presented to get a chicken cheesesteak, I took it. Oh yes, that hit the spot - with the added bonus of not being heavy & greasy like the ones we always got at all our old pizza place haunts. I would get another one in a heartbeat. Also, I've gotten quite snobbish about my coffee - seeing as I live in Seattle and all. They serve "Seattle's Best". Seattle's Best isn't actually Seattle's Best (we have so many great little roasters out there) BUT it's decent and great for this area. No complaints. BUT THEN... Woah. I went to use the restroom. That other reviewer wasn't exaggerating about the bar and the smoke! I am somewhat glad that my 5 year old son didn't have to go and it was just me. It was like night and day. I was kind of amused at the contrast - local, organic, care about quality up front and smoke filled, stinky dive-ish bar in the back! I am taking one star off for that since we sat outside and didn't notice a thing. But had we sat inside it probably would have started to bug me after awhile, which is a shame. Maybe that bar area brings in a decent bit of business but given the food and health trends these days, I think Seven Stars would do better focusing on the front part. Like, do away with the smoky bar and make it all nice restaurant. That would probably bring lots more people in to the cafe part? (And for what it's worth, my Dad was a firefighter and volunteered at Coopersburg - I spent a lot of time around the firehouse as a kid so I get what the smoky bar is all about... But still. Yeesh.)
