Stopped by after a long day on the water. There was 8 of us and the waitress was quick to grab our drinks and place our orders. We ordered two pizzas, both unique and equally delicious, along with the chips and salsa. It made for a nice end to a hot day of fun in the sun! We'll definitely be back.

Super food and love the company at the restaurant! I loved my meal here and since I am dog LUV-er I was quite happy with all the pooches hanging out with us. Note: The dogs are part of the family but they are big, hairy, they slobber and give you "the feed me puh-leeze!!" The waitress are very laid back but attentive and on the ball with making the meal great. Also the atmosphere just seemed to make everyone is a good mood as fellow patrons joked and chatted with us from time to time. Onto the food...we started out meal with the Loaded Nachos. Not typical processed cheese and icky salsa! Instead warm chips with real cheese, hot peppers, jalapenos, black beans, sour cream and homemade fire roasted salsa! Entrees include Fish Tacos (there are 2 kinds on the menu-Pan Seared Tilapia and Battered Cod-the former was ordered and enjoyed), Beef Soft Tacos (made one 7year old happy and stuffed), Kid's Grilled Cheese (served with fab homemade potato chips and fruit, yes real fruit!), Jumbo Burrito with Chicken and I had the Gringo. Both burritos were huge and stuffed with black beans, rice salsa (fire roasted and salsa verde respectively). They also have terrific coleslaw that has fresh corn, black beans and a bit of spice. We sat outside and enjoyed the entire atmosphere:) You really do have to go if you happen to be in the area!!

The food and service here is great! We had the Green Pie $14.00 and a couple of locally brewed beers, then wrapped up cheesecake to have later. Very casual atmosphere. Not much else open during the week this time of year (autumn).

We only ate two meals "out" on our little trip and ate here both times. Come for the Mexican food, my friends-- veggie enchiladas were killer. Also, this is the cool local spot to hangout; they've got an awesome micro beer selection to prove it. Yum!

Food is always 4 stars (especially pesto pizza and burgers), service was not-so-great. Depends on the server. Tables were slow to be cleaned when entering and waitress tonight was too busy waiting on the whole room to answer a question we had. Outdoor seating and live music is a nice touch.

Stopped here after riding on the GAP trail. Service was great and menu offered many healthy alternatives. Loved the fact that they made their own potato chips and the burgers were grass-fed beef. Yummy!

Lucky Dog is my favorite post paddling spot for dinner after a day kayaking the Lower Yough at Ohiopyle State Park. Delicious local food in a cute setting. And you can bring your pup to the porch. I always love their fish tacos - the fried haddock is very tasty. The portions are generous so don't fill up on their awesome appetizers! But do get their creamy queso and chips or an order of the best sweet potato fries. It's worth it. Don't say I didn't warn you though The wraps are also very good and there's a good selection- something for everyone. Very good pizzas too if that's what you're craving. I've been there a lot and everyone enjoys it. They even had local acoustic music the other week which was very nice. Not too loud and she was talented. When it gets busy it can be a bit of a wait but we usually time it just right.

Stopped at the lucky dog because they have Wi-Fi that you can use, and was amazed at the service and food. The food was great, I liked the burrito in particular, the portions were large (careful, both the nachos and the fries ate not easily finished by one person), and the service was absolutely superb. I was in Ohiopyle for a week, but would always drive over to Confluence to visit the lucky dog. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Confluence for a weekend and ate at the Lucky Dog for lunch on Friday and decided to go back again Sunday on out way out. They had a great food selection we had hummus, wraps, burgers and pizza we all enjoyed everything. The variety was perfect and everything was done well. Four stars is because the service was a little slow the first time not as bad the second. I know they were understaffed but it was worth the wait. It is also dog friendly outside.

I love dogs so I automatically have a soft spot for a restaurant that allows dogs, albeit only on the patio. But The Lucky Dog has far more to recommend it than just kindness to our furry friends. For instance, I ordered the vegetarian black bean burger. There are many restaurants that have this one their menu as a sop to vegetarians. It is usually generic and severely over spiced. Here, however, it was house-made and subtle. In fact, it was the best black bean burger I've ever had. The fries I got with it were nicely crisped. Finally, I also enjoyed my dessert, cheesecake fried in a tortilla and accompanied by whipped and ice cream. Yum. The Lucky Dog is a casual, friendly place. There was nice 60's and early 70's music in the background and the owners seem good-hearted (using their leftover frying oil to make bio-diesel fuel). Come for the food, though, and, if possible, bring your four-legged friend.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone riding the GAP trail who is looking for a nice stop to eat and relax. I had taken a short day with my family on the GAP (11 miles) but was definitely longing for some good food and I found that in the Lucky Dog. This restaurant is like a tired biker's best friend. I ordered the chili rellenos, which were delicious, but what I enjoyed the most was the fried ice cream. The utter perfection of that dish was TO DIE FOR. Such a perfect combination of creamy and crunchy, with a toasted tortilla underneath. I loved it, to say the least. One of the most intriguing things about the Lucky Dog was the actual Lucky DOG himself! (I assume). my family sat outside at first, and the adorable black pup came sauntering over to us offering a little company. To sum it up, the Lucky Dog Café is an amazing restaurant. (my mom got the watermelon mojito and she said it was amazing)

Perfect stop on the GAP! Food was delicious, service was excellent and this establishment is pet-friendly! I ordered the roast turkey sandwich and was expecting lunch meat, but it was actual turkey just like thanksgiving. The homemade chips that come with the sandwiches were crispy and not greasy. The nacho appetizer came on a large pizza tray and all the ingredients were super fresh and was only $7.99!!! A must if you are in the confluence area!

Well, was back in the Yough area for a biking and outdoor weekend. Decided to give the Lucky Dog another try. Unfortunately, still "un-lucky". . What this very casual eatery has going for it is a *very* convenient location - very close to Riversport Outfitters, the bike trail, and the banks of the Yough River and only a short walk from town. . The Lucky Dog seems to think they have trendy "above average" quality food. However to anyone who has traveled a bit and sampled what others have to offer, except for occasional items, the food at this place is inconsistent and - generally mediocre at best. Most offerings are fair-to-mediocre versions of dishes you can find at many small local food stops, using mainly frozen or packaged wholesaled ingredients. Dishes sometimes arrive in stages rather than all at once. Hot items are sometimes warm or even cold. In fairness, the food is NOT horrible but --- it's not "very good" and .... sometimes not even average. . What continues to detracts most from the place though, is the service & disposition of the owner, who knows little about food, and even less about hospitality and customer service. The owner is, I believe, a member of the same family that own the outfitters and a nearby B & B. We have been customers/user of both in the past. Those seem to be run in a more friendly and accommodating and professional manner. The "Unlucky Dog" should take some lessons from them.

Restaurant advertised opening at 11:00am. We arrived at 11:15 on May 31 and was told by someone out watering plants close by that the restaurant would open around noon-ish. Said food order hadn't arrived. We drove 20 miles off freeway to have lunch here so total frustration! Blessed we found a Terrific little cafe to eat nearby.

After a morning of biking on the GAP, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Lucky Dog. The Greek Wrap was flavorful and the sweet potato fries with chipotle sauce were terrific. Portion sizes are large, so keep this in mind when ordering. Service is fast and very friendly and the restaurant was spotlessly clean.

Yummy veggie n carnivore (grass fed beef) choices. I met Andy just beforehand to talk about renting a kayak for next weekend from Riversports next door. He and his wife run each place. Good family businesses to support with excellent food and service. Try the sweet potato fries with a good choice of microbrews:-) Tacos are good too!

We rode through the area with our pups while doing the GAP last Monday, the staff was amazing and the food was just yummy, it was awesome to enjoy a nice sit down meal with the dogs on the deck. I raved about you for the rest of the trip to anyone that was on their way through. We will make sure to stop the next time we ride through. Thank you for being so dog friendly.

We stopped by Lucky Dog Cafe when in Confluence. Considering the choices available, Lucky Dog is a great cafe. It's human and pet friendly. The food was good, affordable and the portions were quite large. The dress code is very casual and since it's located right next to a kayak rental, river, biking trail area - you will see people come in after their rides etc.

We stopped here on our way through to Fallingwater. Great food. Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh and high quality. The grass-fed beef burger was dressed with spring greens and romas--no wilted iceberg or anemic tomatoes here. The potato chips were homemade, the burger bun and pizza crust on our other entree appeared and tasted homemade, and the Santa Fe coleslaw was a stellar mix of cabbage, black beans, corn (cut from the cob), cilantro, and lime. For a quick stop at an unknown (to us) roadside cafe, this was a gem of a find.

This is right on the river and bike trail in the town of Confluence. The surround area is beautiful, but the commerce is rather grim. This place is an oasis! The food is great - well prepared with excellent ingredients. It is friendly and comfortable with wi-fi. We stayed in the area for four days, and ended up eating here four times. Since they are rather isolated, don't get your heart set on any one item. They are frequently out. Part of the reason we went back the 4th time is we really wanted their Sweet Potato Fries just one more time. Everything is good!
