This place would make you a milk lover even if you always hated the taste of milk. You haven't lived if you did not taste their milk in the glass bottles (wash it out, bring it back for a two dollar refund/deposit). I run into their stuff at my local MOM's store, had to taste it and was hooked ever since. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but when you get it, you have to break a layer of thick cream on top of the bottle, must be two-three inches THICK sometimes!!!!! Tastes as good as European butter (bring me this Kerrygold or Plugra). I would love to taste more of their farm stuff, maybe it should be a fun day trip for us sometime. But before it happens, I will rave/crave/celebrate their wonderful, out of this world MILK. Ah, I forgot to mention, I always get WHOLE milk... Would advise you to do the same. Have fun with all the cream on top! So delicious!

First time going there. Very impressed. the place has many home made and or organic stuff. I ordered a meat ball sandwich and it was excellent. Staff seems happy.

I visited this creamery because I buy their milk from whole foods. The best and the most natural milk I have ever had. You cannot go back once you have their glass bottled organic grass fed cow milk. The creamery had great coffee and ice creams and delicious subs. They also have a branch in DC. I highly recommend this place. They also stress on about recycling their container and reusing the glass bottles

Stopped in here for a late lunch on the way out of town after two days in Chambersburg and now wonder how we could have ever missed this place. The service is friendly and you can have a made-to-order sandwich that will knock your socks off. The rolls are incredible and the meats are the best quality. My son had a pretzel roll sandwich that he loved. My wife and I got hoagies that were outstandingly good. We marveled at the perfectly prepared vegetables and greens on the sandwich. The onions and tomatoes are sliced paper thin and the green peppers are finely diced. We each had chocolate milkshakes that are the best I have ever had. There atmosphere is roadside plain but the great service and outstanding food make it a must try in Chambersburg.

Yum, yum, yum! Yogurt, smoothies, ice cream, milk. I get their products at a local health food store - but you can visit their own store in Chambersburg. Love to support our local farmer coalitions.

What a scam!!! Feels like big city Lancaster. You get the Omish feel until you go to the cash register. Way over priced.

Trickling Springs was recommended (very enthusiastically) to me by several co-workers while I was in the area, and it did not disappoint. Great sandwich, fully loaded and well prepared. I would have bought ice cream and cheese if I hadn't been on the road.

After trying their ice cream at Union Market in DC, I was hooked. I needed a break from DC so hopped in the car one day and took the drive to Chambersburg, PA (about 1:45 from DC). I got an italian-style sandwich from the deli and it was one of the best sandwiches I had. I imagine most of the ingredients were fairly fresh since the place is surrounded on all sides by farms. The real beauty though is the freezer at the storefront with 24 different flavors of their heavenly ice cream. There's not much more to say other than this was the best ice cream I've had in my life. The people were incredibly friendly, the food was outstanding, and the ice cream was the best.

Incredible icecream, amazing hoagies (they make their own bread)... honestly I've never had anything I DIDN'T love!

Wife recalled the great Reuben she had here and we looked for it on the order list and it wasn't there. They didn't have all the fixins' either, no sauerkraut or thousand island dressing. But she had corned beef and swiss on a Kaiser roll and enjoyed it. We were told they would make the sandwich and bring it out to the table. We were waiting and I pretty much finished my meal before going to the counter to see what was going on and apparently it had been sitting on the counter for pick up for quite a while. Conclusion, it was fairly busy even at the latter part of the lunch hour (1:15 PM) and the counter help was stretched. I had the baked spaghetti luncheon special. It was a bit below average, but I did finish it because I was hungry. No reduced or no fat salad dressings available. I did enjoy the Maple Bacon ice cream on a sugar cone, so overall that salvaged this luncheon outing for me.

Great quality milk, cream, butter, ice cream etc. They make sandwiches here and the Italian on a roll was the best hoagie I have had south of Massachusetts! Delicious. Service is fast and friendly. Only wish the store wasn't right on Route 11 because of the availability of out door seating. I'd be a regular if I lived nearby.

My first time here, and I have to say...the ice cream is amazing, and the service pretty stunning.

This place has great deli subs and sandwiches not to mention their ice cream. The sub rolls are so fresh! they also have a daily lunch bar which has a hot meal for a reasonable cost

The Chocolate milk here is amazing. It makes me feel like I am a kid again. I have always gotten my milk from the Dupont Farmers Market. ENJOY!

On a DC talk thread discussing the different types of Yelpers the other day, the "milk movement" Yelper was spurned. Why, I can't figure. Seems to me that free-range, non-hormone-injected, humanely raised animals is a *good* thing in this country of CAFOs. But I guess some people still aren't tuned into/don't care about where their food comes from, and that's a shame. Because we need more places like Trickling Springs Creamery, and to support more places like Trickling Springs! [Slides soap box off to side. Because no, I can't tell you where everything I eat comes from, but I really try to know if I can.] OK, moving on...Trickling Springs Creamery is wonderful. They're a dairy, not a farm, so they don't raise their cows, they get their milk from local, family-run farms where the cows are free-range and grass-fed. *REAL GRASS*! Not corn! They transform the milk from these farms into beautiful glass jugs of whole, 2%, skim, and chocolate milk, as well as butter, ice cream, yogurt, and cheese (their jalapeño cheddar cheese is *ridiculous*: ultra creamy, smooth, and tangy with a perfect amount of heat from the jalapeño bits). Any of which you can pick up at the store at the creamery, or you might find them at your DelMarVa farmers market. When you buy a carton of "organic" milk at the store, it doesn't buy you the same quality or peace of mind that real farm/creamery milk does. It simply means the cows eat organic corn at their CAFOs, but are still raised in sad, inhumane conditions. It tastes about the same as non-organic milk, too. Trickling Springs really *is* all organic and all natural. The milk is super creamy and smooth with that hint of herbal grassiness in the background. Delicious. Unlike any milk from a grocery store in terms of taste and consistency. Not to mention it lasts *eons* longer without spoiling than the grocery store junk. On your cereal, on your berries, in your coffee, with a cookie...I'm a fan. And I never really liked milk until Trickling Springs showed up at our local farmers market.

We are lucky enough to live just a couple of blocks away from this beautiful gem of a store! The chocolate milk makes you think you have died and gone to heaven, the plain milk does too... Lunchmeats are higher quality and cheaper than any deli/grocery store and it's such a pleasant experience to buy from those ladies. If you are in driving distance... GO NOW! You won't be sorry!

The first time I took my boyfriend there he said he would never go to a chain sub restaurant ever again. And he's stuck to his word! The sandwiches are delicious, hearty, and worth every penny! The ice cream is amazing and the flavors range from standard to unique. They also have a great selection of chips (I'd recommend the Route 11[?] Sour cream and chive ones) and the homemade cheeses and milks are to die for. The staff is friendly, polite, and attentive. I'd recommend this place to anyone who like sandwiches (both hot and cold) and they even have home cooked meals (although I've never had the pleasure of trying them yet)

Delicious chocolate milk, regular milk, butter, ice cream, heavy cream! Ice cream is soo good, rich and creamy. And a 1/2 gallon at $5.17 is well worth it for the freshness and taste. Butter is fresh and rich/creamy but pricey at over $6.50 per lb. Not 5 stars because: If I'm not from the area and would like to have purchased the milk/heavy cream in a glass container instead of a plastic container. I shouldn't have to pay an extra $2.00 deposit fee for let's say, a 1/2 gallon of milk purchase. That brings the cost of the milk to almost $6.00 for a 1/2 gallon, which even with the great freshness/taste is pushing the limits of affordability for a simple glass of milk. For quality/freshness/taste/cleanliness = 5 Price/glass bottle purchases and return cost = 3 Overall = 4

Sinfully delicious ice cream, in a wide variety of interesting flavors. Not only is this a full butterfat product, but it is made in small batches to assure quality. When I've had clients in the area, or was passing through the area on a hot Summer day, Trickling Springs was a worthy side-trip.

They have THE BEST chocolate ice cream. I buy it at a small organic market in DC called Cornercopia. If you like ice cream, you must try it. It's hard to describe what makes it so good - It's rich and creamy and sort of tastes like a chocolate brownie. I've also had their milk - excellent. If I lived near this farm, my hips would certainly be in trouble.

I have to agree with all of the previous posters about how fantastic Trickling Springs Creamery is! Although I've only tried the 2% milk, I'm a huge fan, as I strive to drink organic, grass-fed milk and feel more comfortable with minimally pasteurized products versus the raw milk I used to buy (just because I'm always afraid there will be that one batch with Listeria in it....) I also love the fact that the milk comes in glass, not plastic, containers.

We enjoyed the delicious, fresh-tasting homemade ice cream and were pleased to learn that the dairy products are derived from local, grass-fed cattle. Lots of great-looking milk, cheese, and baked goods in the store too. Don't miss this place if you are passing through Chambersburg.
