Surprisingly good. Great vegetables and very good meat dishes, too!

To start off I'd really like to thank this restaurant for sponsoring a lot of school activites such as the Award Winning MNHS Band! The family that owns the resturant is extremely nice and they easily remember a lot of their customers and what they order. I cant seem to understand why their could be any bad reviews outside of the fact that people are just venting on a one time "bad" experience. This little resturant recently just had a renovation and looks great! They are definitely way too busy for their size! Regardless everythings definitely worth the wait! Since food is generally about personal taste, i can personally vouch for me and all the people I know that this place has great prices and food! I'd recommend the Crispy Spicy Hot Chicken and ALL the chef suggestions! Depending on the time you order for delivery its very fast and reasonable and the foods always hot! they have a great price for lunch specials. Literally sooo much food for $5-6! You cant go wrong! some people may mind the kids that are at the restaurant sometimes but personally i love it because they are soo cute and nice to talk to. Its a quiet little resturant that i know will stay around for a looong while! Sometimes i come in and see some nasty customers that are just plain old mean and all i can say is, treat people how you'd like to be treated dont be a brat and think your the king because your a customer. Every Resturants always does their best to accommodate you so be considerate. Overall I'd highly recommend this place for lunch and great chinese food! Support people who support local schools!

My go to spot for Chinese food has always been Dragon II in Drexelbrook. But for times when I didn't feel like driving down there to get it I would go to Lee Garden In Lawrence Park Shopping Center. When Lee Garden closed I recently tried the other local Chinese Restaurant, Garden China, and its....alright. The food wasn't really anything special. Was it bad, no. The beef lo-mein was okay. The thing about this restaurant I really didn't find appealing was the place itself. It was a little on the dirty side. When I arrived to pick up my food the place was completely empty and had a funny smell to it. Now of course all Chinese restaurants smell, but this place was a notch or two more on the rank side! For some reason I am also a little weary of restaurants where you can't see in the kitchen at all....always makes me wonder what's going on back there! Bottom line, if you want Chinese food this place will do just fine, but for me I'll take the 10 minute ride to Dragon II.

Food not bad but does not stay around long if you know what I mean. The service. Is horrible even when you are the only diners there. There doesn't really seem to be a good Chinese place around Broomall that we know of, Yang Ming in Bryn Mawr is worth the trip.

I'm pretty excited that I finally found some good Chinese food in this area. The funny thing is that I ordered her accidentally thinking it was another Chinese please but I'm glad I did. Located next to the new closed down Wings to Go, this place has the classic cheesy Chinese restaurant interior (which isn't a bad thing in my opinion) and was quiet full for a Wednesday night. I was greeted by two friendly employees and I was back on the road with my food within about a minute. The first thing I noticed was their spring rolls are very small and come in quantities of 4. This intrigued me. They were absolutely delicious and perfectly crispy. The sauce they came in was a little too sweet but paired well with them non the less. I also ordered a pint of pork fried rice which was delicious as well and had a plentiful amount of tender pork. I will be back.

It's a simple place, so I'll give a simple review. Just wanted to try a different Chinese place for takeout on the way home. If you want egg rolls and wonton soup, like I do often, this place will do just fine. The lemon chicken I had was decent. Maybe slightly dry, but the flavor was there. My wife did not appreciate it as much as it was too dry for her tastes. The chicken and broccoli, my wife said was good, but not as flavorful as she's used to from other places. I sampled it, and I agree with her assessment. But the place is nice and clean, my online order was ready when I got there, and the food was good enough. Three stars are definitely in order for that.

This use to the best chinese food. The yang chow fried rice use to be awesome, made with white rice and fresh meat and veggies, but now it was awful, the rice tasted very old and the peas were wrinkled and awful as well as the rest of the ingredients. We also had house special lomein, old oil taste to it, again tasted very old. The cheese wontons were dry and uneatable, we also had the spring rolls which were grease soaked and simply horrible. Food is minus 5 stars. As well as when I called they wanted me to order an additonal $6 since we lived so far away, after I said I didnt want to order she asked what was closest and when given landmark she agreed to send order out if I added an order of spring rolls. A total of $23 for total crap, they should have paid me.Food will be trashed and never ever again will they get my money!!!

My family moved to Broomall 10 years ago and we have been a loyal Garden China customer over that time period. My dad and brother went to dine in at Garden China. My brother, however, brought his own food and my dad wanted to get Chinese. They sat down, my dad ordered, and then waited for his food to come out. My brother took out his food and began to eat. Moments later, a girl (owner's daughter?) stopped at my dad's and brother's table, looked at my brother up and down, looked at the food, looked at my brother again, then went to tell a woman in the back that my brother brought in food. The woman confronted my dad and brother and said they needed to leave. There is not a sign in the restaurant that says, "Do not bring outside food". If they were professional and polite about them leaving would be one thing, but they were rude. We will never be ordering from them AGAIN.

Terrible. Worst place ever. Though the tables were cracked the floors were filthy. And the service was terrible. I still hate it.

The food was not terrible. But they don't give you your moneys worth. You get small portions to go for a lot of money? There are better Chinese restaurants that give you better value in the area.

I like everything I've tried there, which is the best compliment I can pay a place I've frequented over 10 times. Good quality seafood, meats and vegetables are always fresh and crispy. They use a decent quality frying oil and don't seem to over do it. It's never greasy and always feels light, properly cooked and clean on my palate. That said the cooking and flavor is fair but nothing that is going to blow your socks off. It's pretty standard asian fare with a nice selection of seafood and vegetarian dishes. The General Tso and other "spicy" dishes pack a little heat but are fairly mild. I'd suggest asking them to cook it spicy if you are expecting something that's going to do more than heat up your palate. It would be nice if they had combination dinners, they only carry combo lunch platters. The prices are fair for the area. I would also like to see them fix the place up a little but the dining area is clean and adequate.

One of the most satisfying Chinese restaurants I've eaten in. OK, I haven't sampled a lot of the dishes on their extensive menu, but the Hunan Chicken, Hunan Beef, spring rolls, and hot&sour soup are excellent, with fresh vegetables, good quality meat, and expert cooking. The tea, which is free, is always tasty, and so are the freebie fried noodles, always fresh, crunchy and not greasy. Not much ambience, but it's clean and pleasant. The young teen waitresses may not be skilled at stroking egos, but they get your order right and deliver it quickly. Menu prices are inexpensive in most cases, and the lunch specials served daily, even weekends, are bargains. If you need an upscale ambience try Margaret Kuo or Yangming, otherwise this is a gem in plain clothing.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
