We have been ordering from Wing Hing for over 10 yrs. I have to say it was THE only place we would order from. Tonight we ordered our usual General Tso's Chicken, and it was horrible! We called and my husband took it back. They were very kind and provided us another order. There were a few pieces that were ok, then I bit into one that had the same rancid taste as the last order, and it was a darker meat with a fishy taste. I had to throw everything out, and truly hope we don't end up sick. After 10 years, we won't be ordering from there again.

Our go to lunch spot for Chinese. Lunch special is awesome at $5/$7 And food is always hot and fresh. Delivery has been notably accurate and speedy. Eating in has always been a pleasure as the service was always prompt and pleasant

I would give this place 5 stars but the order I just had delivered is wrong. I asked for brown sauce instead of sweet n sour because of my allergy to pineapple and I got sweet n sour sauce. I normally love this place, but I love not going into anaphylactic shock more. I hope this doesn't become a common thing because I really do enjoy the food from here

Been looking for a decent Chinese food place to order take-out from ever since moving into the neighborhood last summer. We decided to try Wing Hing on Friday night based on other Yelp reviews. We were NOT disappointed! We ordered pork and beef lo mein, both very standard and delicious. The beef sticks were good as well, and my friend devoured the shrimp spring rolls. We also ordered the sesame chicken which was my favorite dish. The chicken was cut into strips and the sauce (DELICOUS) came on the side for you to dip or douse over your chicken. We'll definitely be trying other things and ordering from here again.

2/21/ 2015 was our visit. Been coming here for 20 years to this family run( big smile) restaurant. What do you get here that is better than other local Chinese restaurants? - NO MSG -Best Fried Rice. -Real Pork in the Lo Mein. -Pleasant daylong dinner music. Their business seems to have evolved to more takeout judging by the constant phone orders during the noontime hour but trust me, dining in is a pleasant experience.Even the fish in their fish tank seemed happy to be here.

What happen? I have been going here for years tonight I ordered Chicken Yat Mein and even though I asked for it without onions there were a couple onions in it and also some broccoli pieces were also in it. The saucei is supposed to be like a gravy and it was more like a soup. So disappointed.

Have been eating here since I was a kid, and still love it. Most other places either have inferior product, smaller portions, or higher prices. Wing Hing has consistently been great. Great food, great portions, great price, and the best wonton soup around. I've got a few orders for lunch at work, and have made a few converts from other places.

Wow, what a disappointment this place has become...lack of management--lack of quality control... I've been going here for the last 15 years or so but have noticed in the past six months or so a decline in the quality of the food. Last Sunday was the icing on the cake when we found that the fried dumplings were literally BURNT on one side. Also, the General Tso's chicken had no spice/flavor to it. I called to speak with a Manager and was told there was not one to speak to. I asked if one would be available if I call back and was told no. I then asked if one would be available the next day and was again told--no. When asked WHEN one would be in to speak with I was told "I'm not sure"! This is the first sign of bad management--or in this case--NO MANAGEMENT! I then told the young lady that I'd been a patron for the past 15 years, have noticed a decline over the last six months and my experience with the dumplings and chicken. Her response was "okay...bring it back". I told her I couldn't--that we already began to eat and I had no vehicle by this point. She didn't offer to replace the food with a delivery. I told her I will no longer patronize them and her response was "okay, fine". I then told her I felt it was important for them to know WHY...and again--her response was "okay, fine". Shaking my head...too many other chinese food establishments to give my business to.

I'm from Philly and usually had Chinese food from China town. Now that I am living in Wallingford, it's nice to have a good Chinese restaurant to go to and that also delivers. My father is very particular with Chinese food and whenever he visits from out of town we usually go there at least once with friends from West Chester and order in also. I have always had a good experience here.

I have been eating Chinese food my whole life. And every Chinese place/restaurant either makes their food really similar or totally different. This place has it's up and downs. Good thing is, there isn't much downs. The workers there are great and very friendly. The food has their own kick to it. Most places would have general Tso chicken with sesame seeds and have it called sesame chicken. Haha. Not this place. It's a whole chicken breast with a crispy sesame seed coating. The salt and pepper wings, omg, deep fried then stir fried in green peppers, onion, salt, and etc. if I could, I would eat it every single day. There is so much more, but you'll just to have try the place out. The downside, their fried rice. Not everybody will like it, but there are those who do. Enjoy.

I am very loyal to "my" Chinese takeout place in Delaware, but this place is 3 minutes away from my girlfriends house, and she said it was "better than average." I ordered the General Tso's chicken. The sauce was much too sweet. It had no spice to it at all. It was closer to a sweet and sour sauce. The chicken pieces were also mushy. The fried rice did have a good taste to it, and had just the right amount of eggs in it. I also had a order of fried wontons. They were so overcooked, that they were borderline inedible. The tiny piece of meat was tasteless due to the amount of fried batter surrounding it. I also want to point out that I walked in and order the food there to take home. So there was no chance any of this had a chance to be ruined waiting for delivery. There was also not 1 person in the place at 3:45pm yesterday. I will not be going back.

Worst experience ever. Ordered chicken dumplings. I think they gave me some other type of dumplings instead. The meat was dark brown inside. Then on top of it. It had a HAIR on it. Then ordered general chicken. That was ok. The highlight of my lunch was the waitress. She was RUDE. When i asked her if these dumplings were chicken. She said. Did u order chicken. I replied yes. She said then its chicken. At least come to the table to reply but this is right from the waiter station. She never asked how my food was. When i told her about the hair she just said u want another one and i replied no and thats the end of the conversation. No apologies no regret. She didn't care much. And when we sat down while completing my order i was making a request that make sure about the fried rice. She was replying to me while she was walking towards the kitchen and back towards me. No wonder we were the only table in the restaurant at 130 pm. Food was so so. If the food was good i would have given better stars but i guess they just don't care about their customers.

Ordered and had it delivered. Had the mu shu pork, dumplings and chicken lo mein. Except for the pancakes crumbling the meal was extremely good. I would recomnend it. The dumplings were flavor packed and hot.

I'm a very lame Chinese food eater. I stick to the most American food they have to offer. General Tso's, sesame chicken, chicken and broc, and ribs. All 4 of these are top notch for a little Chinese restaurant. Crispy all white meat in a thick candy sauce for the 3 chickens. Candied meats are amazing. Kinda makes you want to put them in a plastic bag and keep them in your pocket and randomly pop them throughout the day. The ribs aren't overly fatty like a lot of places and they are tender in that sweet red bbq sauce I've been known to crave. Pork fried rice is not what it used to be but still above average. Also, the name is wing hing. Id go just because of that.

They have good food when it's not busy or they don't mess up your order which isn't very often recently.

Not particularly fresh tasting take out on a Saturday night. The pork fried rice was dry. The dumplings were okay, but slightly burnt. The General Tso's Chicken was also just okay. The egg roll was unremarkable. The boneless ribs were probably the best part of the meal.

In general, very good take-out. Speedy and tasty. The General Tso's Chicken and crab Rangoon are awesome!! They also have a great recipe for fried rice.

I LOVE this place! It's been here for YEARS and changed hands a lot but they do listen to customer feedback and try to improve where needed. I've been ordering from here for at least 20 years. Very friendly people.

It hurts me to give four stars to a take out place, but I have to do it in this case. Wing Hing has impressed me every time I've been there for take-away food or called for delivery service, which is about fifteen times now. Exquisite food, delivered piping hot. Their wonton soup is superb. No MSG, and their chicken broccoli is outstanding.

Solid take out place, been ordering here for years. Awesome chicken fried rice, wonton soup, and pork with bean sprouts.

Tried this place for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was really good, not too greasy, decent price. Would definitely order from there again. Ate Chinese at Margaret Kuo's the other day, and for the difference in price, favor Wing Hing. There was a lot of gross, fatty pieces of chicken in my dish at Margaret Kuo's, but not at Wing Hing. There were even fresh veggies in the Kung Pow Chicken.

good food, fast service, and a nice dining room. It is a tad bit on the expensive side, but im a returning customer so i cant complain.

Fresh veggies, hardly any grease...not what you'd expect ordering take out Chinese. But the food was delicious and not a carbon copy of other places. Our sesame chicken came as all white meat breasts battered in a sesame coating with the sauce on the side in a nice tub. I'm used to the soggy too-much-breading-assorted-chicken-bits variety, and I doubt I can ever go back, now that I've been spoiled with this amazing alternative!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
