The China King is a few doors away from the much more popular Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet. They share a shopping mall with the KMART (formerly Sears Express). Also competition with Eastern Palace Restaurant across the street by the WALMART. No menu or website whatsoever for China King. With three Chinese restaurants in such close quarters, I suspect that China King will not last.

We still take out from here. The one reviewer said this place wouldn't last, well what do you say now? 4 years after your prediction? There's a reason, good take out,or delivery now with an order online site! I will admit sometimes when the lead chef is on vacation, you can tell, but I never had a bad item in all the years ordering. The buffet next door has its place, and the sit down across the street is for dining in,so for take out this is still the place.

One would think that Chicken & Broccoli would be somewhat simple but not at this place. Not only was it flavorless but it had a slime to it that I couldn't handle so there went my dinner. Stay far away people..very at away!

So..this guy I run into from time to time said in passing he tries this take out place from time to time.....and he tells me where he goes. At first I don't believe him...because in a shopping center across the street there is one that is more of a sit down restarurant and is more "gourmet" style. He assures me it is this place......thus....I tried it......and again...and again, etc. This is EXACTLY the kind of place in your mind....regular Chinese take out...pictures on the wall of the food....lunch specials......other specials written on poster board by the front counter......packs of duck, soy, and mustard sauce with plenty of plastic forks.......the only difference is that there is a bunch of booths for seating (but I've NEVER SEEN ANYONE sitting and eating.....everyone is waiting up front to go). I've had quite a few things.....and the thing that surprises me right off the bat is the food here, although fried just like every other Chinese take out joint....doesn't SEEM greasy......and doesn't make you feel like your face is covered in an oil slick afterward. The fried wontons are the only thing that might not hold true to this....but they are very good never the less. The house special rice is good, and soup tastes very good as well (wonton and egg drop). I've had many of the items on the lunch menu...I'd have to say the only disappointment was the special Walnut Shrimp......it soggyed up too much of the sauce and ruined a rather expensive dish for the place. Overall....as take out goes......it is above average to good....and the prices of items is fair.....I never feel I've gotten ripped off. If you are going to go there one time based on this review, try the house specail rice....my bro swears by it...and although not my favorite dish from a Chiniese restaurant...I've never been disappointed....have you had better? Maybe......but is it a disappointment....not at all (meaning....it's not a "sure thing that is great"....more like a "sure thing that I will probably eat it all and not take a bite and leave it") :-)

Pretty awful. Ordered lo mein, generals chicken, chicken with garlic sauce and wonton soup. Lo mein was terrible and i didnt think it was possible to mess that up. The chicken had a strange texture and the veg was overcooked in the chicken with garlic sauce. Wonton soup was decent. Very disappointing overall.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
