Had dinner last night with a large group of friends. We were seated in the "Boardroom", which was very nice. We have eaten there before, and the food is consistently excellent. The menu is creative and diverse. There is something for everyone...even a grilled cheese sandwich. Our group ran the gamut. They serve excellent lamb, and this was exceptional, even by their high standard. Fillet was also excellent. I had Crabmeat pasta, which was supurb. Crab was perfect., whole wheat pasta also done just right. This spot is known for its wine, and did not disappoint. Tonight, the experience was greatly enhanced by the service staff. Our server was Terry. very pleasant and went above and beyond what would be expected. This spot is simply excellent, and well worth going out of your way to experience. For a casual dinner, or special occasion. The prices are fair, and a very good value. Definitely make a reservation. Its a popular spot, and deservedly so. I recommend you visit if you can, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

This is one of my most favorite places in Beaver County. The service is great. So friendly and attentive. Try the prime rib special on Tuesdays.

I have been a customer at this restaurant for as long as I can remember. My parents took us here when we were young, and I've continued to go to this day. I will not be going again. My boyfriend and I walked in, waited a couple minutes for anyone to even greet us, and then were met by a man telling us we were "just in the nick of time", prompting me to look at the time on my phone. It was 9:20 they don't close until 10 and it's a Saturday night. ???? So we sit and a server looks at us and says, we are closed. I said, "well they sat us" completely confused by what's going on and feeling extremely uncomfortable. After about 5 minutes with no menus, another server walks over laughing and we laughed awkwardly back at her cause we didn't know what was going on and she says "I'm sorry. I don't know why he sat you guys we're closed" and then hands us the menus. I looked at my boyfriend and we both got up to leave. She says, I'm really sorry, it's just that it's a Saturday night and we were really slow and were trying to clean up. I replied with well it'll probably continue to be slow if you continue to give horrible service like this, and walked away. My boyfriend and I go here at least once a month to have dinner and usually a couple lunches too... Dinner is typically a $200 meal there for us. Guess they don't need our business. Shame on you Wooden Angel. Horrible customer service. It's also a shame because you have one of the best chefs in the area. The food is always amazing and I will for sure miss the lamb and steaks but I just can't see spending money I work hard for on people who don't want to work for me.

Delicious every meal. The pork chop puts others to shame, seasoned and cooked perfectly. Live lobster 1 1/2 lbs sweet and melts in your mouth. On Fridays, $40 meal for 2 always excellent. Tonight it was duck and shrimp with rice pilaf and fruit chutney and feta cheese. The regular salad with entree is enough for a lady's meal. House dressing sweet and sour is my fav.

The Chef was nice enough to prepare a special meal for me, since I was on a special medical diet. I am restricted to fish+vegan, and the food was so good that I am hopeful to return someday and leave an above average tip.

I was there this weekend for a bridal shower in the wine cellar. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was amazing! I will also mention that the service was perfect. I cannot wait to go to dinner with my husband and hopefully another event in the wine cellar some day :). I highly recommend!!

The rack of lamb, man! Its absolutely in the top 3 of the best things I've ever eaten. Ever. Even better, my siblings and I were treated by my grandparents while my parents went on an anniversary cruise. Had the apfel kuchen a la mode for dessert. Excellent.

I made a reservation here for Valentines day. Although, we ended up dining somewhere else, some of the 5star reviews down below convinced me to give it a try some other time. I finally tried it, and guess what... It sucked ass. The ambiance was pleasantly decent, but this place had the worst food I've tried in all of beaver county. And it was supposed to be "TOP NOTCH"? I might be spoiled moving here from California, but this was anything but an elite experience. I could not believe how bamboozled I felt by the yelp ratings. Do not be fooled by the 5 star reviews down below. Those people are either friends, or former/current employees with their fake ass bias reviews. And, if they aren't? Lord have mercy.... They don't know what good food is then. I would rather warm up a hot pocket, than to ever come back here. The French Onion soup was served not hot, not warm, but room temperature like it was left out for hours. The cheese on the top of it was hard like dried Elmer glue. The broccoli soup was actually decent, but nothing special. The scallops I ordered were NOT fresh. There were a couple of other dishes we ordered that I can't even recall. By the time my main entree arrived, I took one bite, and boxed up the rest for the dog at home. Even he wasn't impressed, for it was still there the next day. I forget if it was beef or pork, but it was over cooked. Food from a well reviewed restaurant like this should never be burnt. Perhaps, I came at a bad time. I'm not sure if the head chef was off or sick that day, or what the heck was going on in the kitchen, but the food was terrible. I'd rather you just stab me. I wanted to be nice, and to give this place at least 2 stars. But, I'm sorry. Yall need chef ramsey up in this bitch.

I've eaten here about a dozen times over the years and I've never had a bad meal. Went for Mother's Day and everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Had the onion soup ( one of the best I've had ), fig and blue cheese flatbread was great. crab cakes were average but still very good. My wife had the rack of lamb and it was very good just a little too much garlic in their marinade in my opinion. Still excellent though! service was also very good

We enjoyed our visit to the Wooden Angel. Over the years, this restaurant has not changed significantly. The decor is the same...a nice, relatively quiet place with good ambiance for dinner with your significant other. A great place to go if you are celebrating a special occasion. Our waitress was pleasant and gave us "space". We didn't feel like we were racing through our meal (although the restaurant was not really busy). Figure on paying about $100 for your meals and drinks for 2 people, but I don't think you will regret the experience. The appetizers and main meals were very good. A very nice place to take the special person in your life.

Went to the Wooden Angel for dinner. This is a cute, warm place for those looking for something a little more upscale without having to leave Beaver County. The food was fine and the service was not bad but there was nothing that screamed, "COME BACK!" It is a place that I would recommend you try but I don't really have any intention of going back.

Oh Yea! What a nice place! Love the food, wine list and great atmosphere -- so comfortable..so relaxing! Has a large wine list that is all types of American wines, many you can not get at a retail store in any state...Get Alex to help you choose your wine. WA use to have wine tastings but have not been to tasting in a few years...not sure they still have any...but they are great fun! What did we have to eat, one of the best onion soups... it was so goooooood!. Split the Imperial Crab Cake appetizer which was so sweet and cooked perfectly. The Angel Lamb chops were delicious..tender and tasty... cooked perfectly. A great place to take a date!

The Wooden Angel is top-notch. I actually used to work here a number of years ago,and I wasn't a big fan of the owner, but the food here is of the highest quality; you get what you pay for. I came here most recently a week ago for my friend's wedding rehearsal dinner where I was Maid of Honor, and we had the most amazing dinner. I highly recommend. You can't go wrong with anything here.

The Wooden Angel is one my all-time favorite restaurants. Not only does it have an extensive wine list, but it has some of the most amazing food I have ever tasted. Whether you choose the rack of lamb, the prime rib, or one of many delectable small plates, you can't go wrong. Adding to the experience is the great atmosphere. It's the perfect place for a business meeting (quiet; great service), but I prefer it as a romantic date night restaurant or a great place to have an intimate dinner with friends and family. Don't miss out on this jewel of a restaurant.
