This is a great place with the babbling water next to his spot with a playground a set for kids and plenty of seating and parking this is a perfect place to stop and get probably one the best hotdogs or cheese steaks you'll ever get from the Carolina dog with its chili and Cole slaw to the Chicago dog with those perfect sized peppers and super fresh slice of tomato and pickle and the rib - eye cheese steak he doesn't hold back you get the works with sautéed onions and pepper and mushrooms or anything on the menu put some bacon on that see how that tastes it's just good food good comfort food done right every time you can't get any better than this

Cruising by on the 611 about a year ago, I noticed Spankys roadside buildings and picturesque picnic area. I thought I've got to check out this place sometime. Finally stopping by the other day, Spanky's is true to its description of simple food with fresh ingredients...and you can taste the difference! I had the hot dog special that came with two dogs, fries and a soda for $8. The dogs are clean and fresh. No masking fillings with extra salt here. The kraut dog was okay, but the chili dog won my heart. The homemade ground beef chili, with fresh ground beef from the butcher shop up the road, has a mild tomato flavor with a delightfully spicy kick at the end. I highly recommend the chili dog, not to mention the generous portion of fresh fries and the ice cold soda to wash down! Spanky's is a definite oasis on 611 parking lot!

What a beautiful spot to enjoy lunch or breakfast! The food is delicious, service is great and they even have a play place for the kids and dogs are welcomed too! Plus the view of the creek while you eat is amazing , you completely forget that ur anywhere near 611

If you remember Charlie's Hot Dog's from of 111 in Islip, this is the place for you. Best roadside hot dog stand I have been to in over 20 years. Great food for a relatively low cost. My relative's from NY insist on going here every visit. Stop in you will love it.

Simple food- hot dogs, cheesesteaks, etc. very good quality. Fresh bread and peppers and onions on a very filling cheesesteak. Extremely friendly service and nice seating by a creek.

Since Cat's unfortunately closed my girls and I have been looking for a "hot dog" place to call our own. We may have found it at Spanky's - this used to be called something like "Hot Diggity Dog?" We have only had hot dogs there and they are just fine. We love the area it is at, picnic tables by the creek and a play set for the kids, that's what really make it a place to stop. Unfortunately I have not tried any of the other food but I will as it looked good when I saw others order it! Now that it's the winter time I'm guessing it will all be to go!

Have always enjoyed this little place off Rt 611. Owners are friendly and the food is always Good! They also offer coupons on Restaurant.com to make it a better deal! The scenic stream alongside just makes it the perfect place to stop during a busy day of fun or shopping!

Based on my overall 8 experiences I'm giving Spankys a 4 star rating. We've tried delivery - very good. We've are outside next to the creek. Always enjoyable. Our last experience though, on 8-17 wasn't all that great. The bread on my burger was very hard. The waitress failed to give me the peppers I ordered on the burger, and also forgot to give me a snack for daughters PB&j meal. My sons Cheesesteak was in his opinion "worst he's had"! :(his bread was also hard and for $15 that sandwich should've been big and packed with flavor. My husbands Dogs were perfect though and that's what saved us this time. We'll be back..cause 1 time out of 8 great isn't so bad. !!

Great place for a quick bite!! Food is fresh and made to order. Scenic location as long as you don't miss it as it sits low on 611, adjacent to Pocono creek. Play area for the kids and a quiet place to enjoy your meal in an outdoor environment. If you are looking food cooked fast, on the grill, no microwave? Then I'd give Spanky's Grill a try. Seems the word is catching and the only way I feel they could improve would be if they had expanded menu options along with longer hours of operation. Naturally, when you are dealing with fresh food, this happen if it's what the people demand. So next time you are in the area, I'd make a stop and grab a quick bite at this place for sure!!

Fantastic burger also a very good chili dog. I'm very surprised when i roll into their parking lot ant it isn't filled! The people who work there who I believe to be the owners as well are very polite and very nice. I've gone there during rain storms and they have ran up to my car to give me my order so I don't have to step outside in the bad weather. When the weather is nice it's a prime place to go. The food comes up pretty quick as well. My only complaint is that I wish they had fresh cut fries instead of frozen hit I love the place I try to go at least twice a month.
