I'm actually impressed. I'm not a big fan of steakhouses, especially if they are chains. But this place was a pleasant surprise. This is probably only my second interaction with a Longhorn Steakhouse, the last time I went to one was way back when and it wasn't a great experience. That could probably be the reason as to why it took me so long to decide to give them another try. When my party walked in we were seated quickly and had menus in hand. Shortly after we were greeted by our waitress and our drink orders were placed. I cannot remember our waitress' name exactly, but I want to say it was Lynn or Linda, we will stick with Lynn here. Lynn went above and beyond here. When it came time to order Lynn was very knowledgeable with the items offered on the menu. When I clued her in on as to why I was asking so many questions she went into high gear. I told here about my allergies and she scurried away. I thought maybe I offended her or something, but instead she went and grabbed a binder that held all their menu items recipes in it and came back to the table. She took the time to sit there and make sure that what I ordered wouldn't adversely effect me. You don't get that kind of service usually, but I thank her for making sure that I didn't have an episode while dining here. The food was great. What I did order was a HUGE portion. I had the Parmesan crusted chicken. The chicken breasts were huge and more than what should be served for a single portion. It was not short on taste at all. I can't remember the sides I had because all I can think about is that chicken. With the service I got here, I can almost guarantee that I will return, especially if Lynn is working.

Food and drinks were great the atmosphere however was somewhat peculiar. Every employee seamed if he or she had to say hi once a perimeter was reached.

Exactly what you'd expect from a chain Steakhouse, pretty good steak for the price! Got the sirloin for $11.95 which came with a side of Caesar salad & sweet potato w/ brown sugar and butter, yum!

First time there, and I would go back in a heartbeat! The service was excellent and the food was just as good. Our waitress was out of this world. She went above and beyond what I have seen any other server do. The food was amazing. I'm not a fan of mustard, but the bacon honey mustard is delicious! I highly recommend people to try this place!

I enjoyed my visit. We were promptly seated, promptly greeted, and our food came out in a timely manner. The appetizer corn fritter was good and came out piping hot. Our server, Brittany, was knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered both steaks to be medium and they came out as ordered. The side salads had crisp lettuce. I would recommend to a friend. It's missing 5 stars because it is so similar to Outback and other chain steakhouses. The steaks, sides, and drinks are very similar. I was hoping for something new.

To be considered only if there are no other options. A tall boy from Sheetz and a burger from 5 Guys enjoyed in my room would have been more satisfying and 75% less than the 50$ I dropped here. The service was marginal. They got the salad wrong but never came around to ask. They got the steak wrong too. They did remake the steak but man the food is just LOUSY here. Seriously. Cheap cuts of meat. Very poor quality. From the lettuce to the meat. Don't spend any of your cholesterol budget here. Save it for someplace good. Consider this a "chain-wide" indictment. I can't imagine the experience is much better in Orlando or Phoenix . I hadn't been to an Outback since 2008. They must have really fallen off. I had it in my head that the food was "OK" for a chain. Maybe it used to be but its not anymore. Well maybe if it's the steak you get with your eggs at Waffle House. Mornin'!

Longhorn steakhouse is always clean and has great food. Lunch there is affordable and usually quick. Cannot get a much better deal than there.

I ordered food two times on line. Please note I placed orders at 3:30pm long before any kind of dinner rush. The first time I ended up with bacon on Mac and cheese for a vegetarian, and had to wait an extra half an hour later than the time I was told the food would be done. When I called to let them know they got the order wrong, I was then passed around on the phone to what was suppose to be a manager. Finally, I am told the manager was in the middle of a dinner rush and would contact me. After two days and no call from the manager I called them back, she then sent out gift cards to make amends for their screw up. So, the hubby and I figured ok we will try it again. Second time was also at 3:30 before any kind of busy dinner rush. I ordered a seafood soup once again for a vegetarian, and after driving out they had sent home no soup and the wrong sandwich. I mean people order on line to avoid waits, traffic, and crowds, but the constant screw ups made sure we had to deal with waiting, traffic, and dinner crowds. Never again!!

The food is good, consistent with Longhorn's standards. The trick is getting it to your table. Service tends to be slow and inaccurate. We were once charged for two entrees from the neighboring table (we had a party of 4) in addition to our own check. Once we got the check and saw the error, it took over 30 min to get the waitress back to our table (meanwhile that table had empty glasses and problems with entrees). Also they can be selective about seating; walk-ins are seated after all call-aheads are seated, no matter when you arrive. As a result of the above, business has dropped off so it's easier to get a table than it used to be. Pluses unique to this location in addition to the food are parking, quality of mixed drinks and accuracy of bar orders, and now the manager makes the rounds (something we'd experienced at other Longhorns but not this one until our most recent visit). Things are improving as they weed out so we've begun to go back.

Me my wife and mother in law when to longhorn for my first time tonight and it was a pleasant experience. I had the porterhouse with a sweet potato and broccoli. The stake was cooked great the sweet potato was amazing the broccoli was ok I had better. My wife had the full rack of ribs mash and broccoli. The mash was amazing as well. M.i.l had trout I believe the portion was very small wasn't really worth the money. We had the shrimp and lobster dip & and the spinach dip both was great. Also had the fried cheese cake bites it was good. Over all was a good meal and not to badly priced all that for $87. Staff was nice. Reason I gave its a 4 was the small fish portions but hey who goes to a stake house for fish right?

My husband and I went here for dinner on Wednesday night. We had to wait for about 10 minutes for a table, and then were seated by a very friendly host. Our waitress was also super friendly, and very attentive to our table. For an appetizer we ordered the T'onion, which is basically like a Bloomin' Onion from Outback expect it's a bunch of little pieces of onions on a plate drizzled with sour cream and served with a side of the spicy dipping sauce. It was very good! The batter on the onions was just right. For dinner I got the filet topped with grilled onions and a side of asparagus in butter and rice pilaf. It was all very tasty. Nothing that was out of the this world, but good none the less. As far as chain restaurants go, this is a pretty standard place. Good food, good service, and a nice atmosphere.

Longhorn is a nice place with friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. I had the prime rib sandwich with salad for lunch. The sandwich was excellent, but was served with a fairly bitey horseradish dressing. I would have rather had it with an Au Jus, they should give you that option. The salad was good. Quality dressing and the bread they put on the table was also very tasty. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals ranging from sandwiches to steaks.

We had a Longhorn less than a mile from where we lived in Ohio. We liked it then. We like it now. The Altoona Longhorn has a more refined atmosphere than some of the other Longhorn's that we have visited. The food has been good and the service has been excellent.
