I would like to thank Pines Diner for great customer service two nights ago we had placed an order for delivery, when the food arrived the food was all messed up as if the bag was dropped or something so we had our four dinners covered with soup and mixed in with other entrees,So I called to complain and they had the manager call me back and as he did so very promptly. Not only were they more than willing to replace the food that was damaged,he was kind enough to make it right and delivery me my entire order.I was more than pleased with everything and I will always be a happy customer of theirs and recommend them to everyone.Thank you so much! One of my favorite lazy weekend breakfast spots. Homey atmosphere and pleasant and attentive servers ( major kudos to Desiree, our favorite) - be prepared to wait in line at peak times on Sundays, but it is worth the wait. All in all one of the best little gems in all of Delaware County. Inexpensive, clean, and the best Habersette scrapple in the county. Go!

This hidden gem has become "our place" for breakfast. The food is delicious, the portions are huge, and the prices are low. Perfection. Another thing we love about this place is that they hire local high school kids, and those kids are good at their jobs. The service is fast, friendly and accurate. It is typically packed on weekends, but they turn tables over pretty quickly (somehow, without rushing patrons) so we never mind waiting. Try the french toast - it's amazing!

My fiance picked this place out of the blue. It was near the house and a quick bite to eat. Their Maryland crab soup was a joke. Basically it was vegetable can soup with some imitation crab meat. The cajun chicken breast with bacon was pretty tasty so it compensated for the soup. The service could be better. Do not try their lemonade because it taste like water with a little drop of lemon. I will not be coming back to this place.

A diner folks. And one that seems to cater to an older clientele - but that is not a bad thing at all. This is a hidden gem, who's plain and sometimes drab appearance may overshadow the food. Simple, old favorites in large quantities. Seasoned a little mildly, a lot of their customers I suspect have salt and other restrictions, but it is still flavorful. The Yellow Gravy served iwth things is interesting, and very tasty. The prices are very reasonable. And, they deliver. Anything. It comes "deconstructed" a bit at times, but there is always enough food for two with every order. And, the family is addicted to their rice pudding. This place is a step back in time, and I hope folks remember it as a possible stop for when you're looking for good American style food and cooking.

Ordered numerous times on take out, they got it wrong EVERY time and never compensated for screw ups. They definitely must hire morons. Lt. Dolly is a wussy!

Paid $16 for 1 crab cake and 4 small scallops. The crab cake was all filler and the scallops were small and over cooked. To add insult to injury my baked potato was about the size of a plumb. The dinner was not worth the price. For a crab cake that's made of nothing but filler and small, bay scallops...$11 - $12 would have been a more appropriate price for this meal. We used to go to Penn Pines diner all of the time for dinner prior to it becoming Nick & Lou's and the food was magnificent. We hadn't been there in several years because I moved out of town and I was shocked to see the drastic change in the quality of the seafood. I will say that I was there for lunch 2ce and it was decent. The waitresses we've had (3 total) have all been exceptionally nice. I've also noticed that business isn't what it used to be. When the old owners had this place it was jam packed around dinner time, and quite often you'd have to wait for a table. For the price, there are definitely better options for dinner. I'd probably go back for lunch or breakfast though.

Came back here for breakfast today. I had the croissant sandwich w bacon and my girlfriend had the paisano omelet. Both were Amazing and the service was spot on. The place was busy and I could be happier bc they're doing everything right. Couldn't ask for more!

This is a terrific little diner tucked away in a strip mall at the intersection of Providence and Springfield Roads in Aldan; blink and you'll miss it! So keep an eye out for it as you're coming down the street. This is where you come when you have a hankering for diner food. I had the chicken croquettes replete with the requisite bright-yellow chicken-flavored gravy. No complaints whatsoever with my food or the service. But I am forced to deduct a star for the lack of bright greens at the salad bar. Spinach should have had a place here, but the lettuce was a romaine/iceberg mixture, so it sufficed. Well, what can you say? I'm a health nut! A cute place. I plan on coming back.

So, I live right around the corner from this diner and I have never been! I finally went last Sunday, and I was super disapointed. I ordered a philly cheesesteak and egg bagel. Living so close to Philadelphia, you think they would know their way around a cheesesteak. It came out, no sides included, and apparently no cheese included. I had about a dime sized amount of provelone cheese hidden somewhere inside. The worst part was the meat itself. It was literally a piece of steak ums folded in half and put in between bread. No thanks. Our table set up was pretty awkward too. It was a booth with a 12 inch divider in the middle. So I was pretty much having breakfast with some random dude. On to the next place!

It's a good little spot to grab a quick egg or pancake breakfast nothing special. Service could be a little better other than that everything is ok!!!

I'm not sure why this place is written as "Pen" instead of "Penn" but it is Penn Pines. Its a family-owned, hole in the wall that's my go-to neighborhood diner. My favorites are the croissant sandwich and Eggs Benedict. The prices are dirt cheap and the waitresses are always friendly. Yeah, places like this might have their slip ups, but overall I think they're great for what they do.

I took my boyfriend here when he was visiting from out of town. It was our first time at the Penn Pines and after viewing the menu online, I was excited. I am giving this place 2 stars because I liked my sticky bun French toast. I am not a picky person, but the place is rundown inside. It was even actually dirty. The floor was filthy. I know it was busy, but I have never seen a floor so dirty in my life. At least have someone go over the floors with one of those push vacs they use at movie theaters. Our waitress was also rude. Took forever to get a refill on the coffee and when we did it wasn't from her, because she was chatting at the register. Will not go back.

The price was great, the food was even better. The service was awesome, my coffee cup was never empty. They were really friendly too! Go check out the cute red head at the door!

Wow, 4 out of 5 stars for this joint? Really!? Ugh! Had dinner there and don't order the prime rib! It is about 1/2" thin! The chicken croquettes are a joke! All filling and barely any chicken I could find. We sent that back and opted for pancakes which were excellent! The seafood sampler entree -- nothing special whatsoever! Jocelyn, the waitress, was nice enough but very slow! Never came back to offer refills till we flagged her down for one. Waited 10 minutes for A1 sauce. The salad bar had the basics. The blue cheese dressing had no flavor and the lettuce was wet which added to watering down the dressing. The other two dining have been here for breakfast and say its excellent!

Penn Pines Diner...Nick & Lou's Pines Diner...whatever it's called it's one of the better options in the area for breakfast. I've never been here for lunch or dinner, but they are open for all three meals. Eggs over medium and well done home fries - both were cooked perfectly. Service was friendly, but spotty, and coffee refills were non existent, but they were jam packed so I let it slide. Sat at a table instead of a booth this time and the floor shook every time someone walked by, so try to stick to the outer booths.

How did they mess up my order so badly? I phoned my order in. Picked it up after waiting their dictated time but still had to wait a while once I arrived. Then the waitress went through my bag but never noticed that half the order was missing. To make matters worse, the food was cold and subpar.

Mediocre food. Crappy unmaintained salad bar. Decent service and good senior menu. The booths and tables are incredibly small. The desserts are a complete rip off. So small they are barely two bites each. $80 for 4 people and one of us was paying the senior member price. Not worth the price at all and the food left a lot to be desired. The gravy both chicken and brown were thick like whip cream and not in a good way. And the food is completely bland. Also I ordered a large rice pudding to go and then when I got home there was a large broken off handle of a plastic serving spoon shoved down into it. So I refused to eat it

It's hit or miss. If you get a good server, and they have some great ones, it's a good place for breakfast. Fare is comparable to most diners. Looking for a good standard breakfast, and the servers don't seem grumpy, stop in.

This place is great! I went here for breakfast around 9:30 am on a Sunday. Yeah, it was packed. Despite that, we were seated right away and our waitress showed up very soon after. I ordered the blockbuster (French toast, eggs, two meats, home fries and regular toast), and the boyfriend built his own omlette. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and the prices were unbeatable. The service throughout was perfect, which surprised me because of how busy it was. This diner is nestled in a little strip mall shopping center, so it's easy to pass by and not notice it. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Best diner around...hands down! It's always packed for a reason. Service is superb & food is delicious. Owners & servers take the time to get to know their patrons. Love this place!

Being as it is literally right up the street from me no more than a minute drive, I tend to forget it's there. But when you want a great breakfast for a great price and a super friendly atmosphere you can't go anywhere else. The breakfast is amazing in my opinion and like i said for the price you really can't beat it. The food is always fresh and steaming hot when it comes out. Scrapple, Egg, and Cheese on a long roll with hashbrowns well done is the way to go for breakfast. As far as lunch and dinner go, believe it or not but the cheesesteaks are AMAZING and are my favorite in Delco. I know I know it's a diner how can they have a good cheesesteak but trust me if you go in sometime other than breakfast, please take my word for it and order a cheesesteak you won't be disappointed.

I've been to this place over ten times and I have always been more than satisfied. I always get the Pine's Special (2 Pancakes, eggs, breakfast meat, and toast), which is only about 7 dollars. The portions are always hearty and the price always right. I would urge the few that have had sour experiences to re-visit the Pine's Diner.

The only thing this place has going for it is that it's near my house. Service and food are just okay. I've learned not to order eggs benedict here because it's a crapshoot whether your eggs are poached or hockey pucks.

Penn Pines Diner is the best kept secret in this area for a great meal at a great price. The staff is always friendly and the food great. Lots of variety and the prices are super. The directions to this place are incorrect however. It is in a small shopping center at the crossroads of Providence Rd. & Springfield Ave. In Aldan, PA

Breakfast Went there for an afternoon breakfast and it was definitely above average. The service was fantastic. When I went in, I was one of 3 tables and by time I left there were about 10 filed tables and the service was constant, polite and efficient. Much better than most diners around the area. The food was about what you'd expect, nothing earth shattering special, but not disappointing either. I got a typical meal - pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee. The pancakes had a little too much vanilla extract for my taste, but if you're a fan of that style they might be just what you want. Atmosphere - very nice. I normally don't trust diners in strip malls, but this one is great. Feels like you're stepping back in time while everything is still new and clean. The bathrooms could be nicer, but they weren't dirty by any means. They seem to have very good deals on lunch and dinner so I'll probably be checking that out next time.

Great atmosphere, particularly around this time of year! The servers got the whole place singing a Christmas carol, it was awesome! The food was yummy, loved the giant chocolate chip pancakes! Only downfall was the actual location... The oober tiny strip mall space really does not do the place justice. It needs more space for both the seating and sound level to improve. But the diner itself is a solid four star establishment, if only they had a better space...
