We visited the new location this evening and were somewhat disappointed. The Cheeseburger and Chili Dog were very good however a bit pricey. We had to as for a fork and knife to eat with. There were 4-5 girls working and we only saw one delivering food while the other 3 were leaning on the counter chatting. We also noted there were many flies around and food on the floor like it hadn't been swept all day. The chairs are very comfortable but the bench seat where I sat was too wide and I was unable to lean back. With my bad back it was very uncomfortable. We will not be going back for a while.

Great food. Small town hospitality, staff was very friendly and the burgers were delicious. I also loved the tots! Clean establishment, to go orders were done quickly and freshly made. I will definetly be back

Staff was very friendly and full of smiles, but this was sadly the only highlight of my experience. Drive through wait time was very long. Menus are unprofessional and appear to have been quickly thrown together in Microsoft Word with ugly generic fonts, and there is no speaker box so they send someone out to stand and look at you while you are deciding what you want, which I found unpleasant even though the girl was nice. I ordered a 1/4 dog. It was mushy and didn't have any flavor. There was no "bite" to the dog casing WHATSOEVER, it was like a canned cocktail wiener. It was also barely warm by the time I got home. Bun and condiments were just fine, but wiener was so unpalatable I only ate half the dog. I honestly would have preferred to boil a grocery store wiener myself and save some cash. Fries appeared to be generic food service type. I asked about their burgers, which they form themselves (sounds promising, wished I would have ordered one instead) but I doubt Ill be returning any time soon. Last thing of note is they weren't able to provide a receipt for a debit purchase, which wasn't a big deal personally, but again seemed rather unprofessional.

Great staff, very personable and welcoming. I had not tried the place when they were on Main St. (having recently moved onto the 3rd St). I'm a big fan of grilled hot dogs, or, as another reviewer mentioned, "bite" in the dog casing. Grilling, whether flat top or traditional, achieves what all higher temp cooking does--it caramelizes flavor compounds and adds extra taste and visual appeal to the food. These dogs are (I'm guessing) boiled or steamed which means they lack any of the bite of a snappy casing. However, the bun was soft, the hot dog itself good sized, and the condiment offerings plentiful and varied. As for the other review's dismissiveness of the menus as "unprofessional", one should bear in mind you're not expecting fine dining at a small joint such as this, nor is this a franchise of a larger brand. This is straight up, true blue comfort food served simple and friendly. I don't need ultra modern fonts in my menu at a place like this--keep it simple, give me enough to consider and appease my palate and make the price reasonable. The tots were tasty, as was the unexpected dipping sauce for them. The only knock I'd give Dawg House is the (admittedly) bland nature of the hot dog--grilling would make the offering damn near perfect.

They have move and improved! Still the best burger in Prineville. Now they have indoor seating. Their fries and sauce seem to be better too. And over heard the owner telling someone the dawgs are made specially for dog house. Looking forward to trying one next time.

We waited for almost an hour for our food, it wasn't even that busy and when we got the food I had the volcano burger and my wife had a cheeseburger on both of them the only tast they had was from the condiments plus with a name like volcano burger you would think it would be spicy but it wasn't. The only reason why I am giving it two stars is are two girls got the puppy dogs and they enjoyed them.

I been gnawing on foot-longs for years, and this place is the crown jewel of meat in a bun. The menu offers a great variety, and the meats produce savory explosions of flavor without the usual mess. Only one word to describe this place: Awwwwlriight!
