Visiting Portland with my wife we stopped here and hour tray Lebanese fish and a burrito. Loved it!

"Cleaner" tasting than chipotle. Pretty good and good prices. Although the burritos might seem small they're actually very filling tasty. Good spot all around.

The tempeh is AMAZING! Great music and atmosphere. Indoor plants and big windows! You can easily make food substitutions. Healthy and delicious food. I would eat here everyday if I could, but we're not locals

Laughing Planets are well established in Portland for being affordable "fast food" with tasty vegetarian and vegan options, so what makes this place amazing? Their "happy hour" special. After 7pm, you get an alcohol drink (pint of beer or glass of wine) and any burrito or bowl for $7. Sounds like a steal? Yeah, it is. You can end up saving a couple of dollars on the bowl/burrito and you get booze. What's not to like? Personal favorites: - Thai Bowl - Holy Mole Burrito - Porklandia (weekly special) - Jungle Juice smoothie

This place is a great for a quick lunch or a "I don't wanna cook dinner" kinda night. There are numerous flavor options and you can get your ingredient delivery system the way you want it (bowl, burrito, wrap, quesadilla). The goods are local and I have thought everything I've ever gotten is delicious. They have specials that are interesting. The service is efficient and generally friendly. Order at the counter and take your number for delivery to your table. This particular location gets a line out the door at lunch, so calling and ordering ahead is a good idea.

Tried this place for the 1st time as my new job is a block away. First thoughts were: Pros: Good atmosphere Good menu selection, lots of options Cons: Price! $10 for a chicken burrito...yikes! Received my order and if a chipotle sized burrito is a 10, this was a 5. Flavor was bland, not sure if they minimize favors for dietary reasons but it tasted like plain grilled chicken. Overall 2 stars for good (not great) food and atmosphere with a dock on the score for your crazy prices. Prices alone would draw me to other local stops unless your food was so good to keep me coming back.

What a hoot! I came in right after the lunch rush and got a quick bite to go! Service was friendly and the space was much larger than I expected. I am looking forward to coming back and trying it again. I got a full meal for less or about the same as some meals in the food carts, which is amazing. I guess busing your own tables keeps things nice and cheap! Keep up the good work!

Okay, I just demoted a star because... They skimped out on my rice or they just simply forgot because I don't have any in my bowl whatsoever. I ordered a Korean bbq bowl again cus I was actually craving it. Walked home, opened my container, and voila! NO RICE. WHERE IS MY RICE?! So I basically paid $10 for some meat, a few pieces of broccoli, maybe a spoonful of slaw, and like 3 cucumbers. Cool, thanks to whoever made my order. Sincerely, A very hungry and angry customer

For those avoiding gluten - quick rundown. Many gluten free options in the rice bowls, soups and salads. However, this is best for the gluten intolerant who is not so sensitive. For the Celiacs or those sensitive to cross contamination, you'd best avoid this place. I asked about it beforehand and was assured everything would be done to avoid cross contamination, but I did get sick from eating here. So I would not recommend it. However, the food was fresh and it tasted fine enough, so if you are not overly sensitive, give it a try.

Perfect proportion sizes with high quality, health ingredients! The staff is very friendly, it has a nice ambiance, and there is plenty of outdoor seating.

Love, love, love! Just all round fantastic healthy food for great prices. I always order the spinach and black bean burrito bowl. I have taken several people here and they have all been impressed.

Yum! Good destination for fast-but-not-bad-for-you food. Kale salad was delish, although could've been bigger. Cookies and agua fresca are good, too. I'll add this place to the lunch rotation.

This my go-to place when I need something fast, inexpensive and healthy. It's conveniently located to attract college students and business people alike. Tip: If you can, try to avoid coming here from 12-1:30, line will be out the door. If you do go around that time, I suggest ordering over the phone or online. Okay to the food... Bowls: Veggie bowl. This one has a lot of fiber in one bowl so be careful for those of you who can't handle too much fiber at one time. Che guevara as a bowl, not the best they have. Recently, had the lebanese delight as a bowl, my new favorite! Garlic tahini sauce compliments it very well! Sides: Get a side of chips and salsa. They have 3 different salsas to choose from. Right now, they have a mango habanero salsa that only limited time, one word...dank! Korean bbq sauce is better than chipotle bbq sauce Their kumbucha is overpriced for its taste but its still good from time to time. Lastly, their vegan chocolate chip, oatmael cookie...holy..oh my...GET IT, just get it! Not healthy but oh my.. Actually their vegan hemp cookie was bomb too! I have come here more than I like to admit.

The weekly and seasonal board specials are creative, healthy and come with some worldly flare flavor. Great concept of add-in sides and they let you create. My go to is the quesadilla and fill it with vegetables.

  • Brian S.

Great burritos, nice staff, healthy, and priced right, of course it gets 5-stars! I love their Black Bean and Spinach burrito. One thing that makes Laughing Planet so good is their McDonald's-like commitment to consistency. I've probably eaten 50 of these over the past decade at multiple locations and everyone of them has been nearly identical.

This was a fun meal.. I was a little confused by the ordering process and menu..( I think ended up looking at the takeout menu).. The food was excellent and fresh and I was able to take plenty home to my hotel. They asked you to bus your own tables which was a little hard for those from out of town who don't know the recycling process in Portland.. I had to ask for help. Overall food was great, it was a chill environment, I enjoyed it.. but definitely a local place with lots going on in process that was a little confusing.

My go-to meal is the Cuban bowl with added tempeh, and the marionberry-ginger smoothie. Always good, fresh, healthy food. Consistent and friendly service. Great options for someone like me who is health-conscious and is both allergic to gluten and lactose intolerant.

  • Chelsea M.

Yay! I'm a fan! The selection here is amazing and the food is so delicious! And, before I forget, the vegan, gluten-free oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is the most delicious cookie ever. My husband and I went here to catch a quick bite to eat before going to see a play at the Keller (in case you were wondering, dinner was much better than the play). I loved how there are clearly vegan and vegetarian options. I had NO trouble finding something to eat. This is a great place to take any type of eater. Really, meat eaters and veggie lovers alike will easily be able to find something. Hands down the best smoothie we have ever had. Jamba Juice needs to watch out. No joke. I had a bowl with Chimichurri sauce, tempeh, kale, quinoa, and broccoli. It was honestly way more than I could ever eat and I really wish they offered half size bowls! That is my only complaint. Portion size. Lemonade was tart and delicious. Like I said, we went in the evening and there was absolutely no wait. Great time to give it a try. They should put one of these in at Progress Ridge where Fudruckers used to be... hmmm... Please!

  • Kelli S.

Eat lunch out and not feel guilty. The quesadillas are good but sometimes the vegetables are a little under cooked. The bowls are full of flavor and yummy veggies. The bowls may not look that big at first but they are very filling. It's better to call in your order or order online because at lunch time the line can get pretty long and take a bit to get your food.

Laughing Planet Cafe has a big, comfy location that is ripe for travel near PSU. The burritos had a good taste and it succeeds on involving a healthy effect while still tasting like a good combination of chicken and vegetables. The food came out quickly. Their only problem is that there are so many other cheaper, and bigger burritos nearby. Some people actually want a highly caloric burrito if it is filled with all the good fixins, because it will taste better. And others might wish that they did not make their own soda, because good luck on refills. Overall, the Laughing Planet Cafe has a good feel. Laughing Planet is okay and very much so, it is indistinguishable.

  • Jesse K.

Great atmosphere, awesome food. They offer really healthy vegan options and they have a nice layout. Make sure you check out their collection of action figures. I would definitely come back.

  • Stefan K.

LP calls itself a "healthy cafe." What makes it healthy? I dont know. They have paleo bowls. So that's something. Burritos are great. But if I pay $2 extra for guac, I'm going to need MORE GUAC than that.

  • Courtney J.

Everything is AMAZING from the staff to the food. I have a lot of food intolerances and the staff was super accommodating while I asked questions and made changes to my meal. I felt completely comfortable knowing that my meal was gluten free, from healthy animals and organic produce. If you are looking for a healthy place to grab something quick you won't be disappointed with The Laughing Planet Cafe.

  • Frank C.

This is one of my favorite places for a good, affordable meal. To me, Laughing Planet is a perfect example of the Best of Portland. Authentic food, healthy, free of toxic waste, local, and tasty! The chicken burrito is awesome! Truly a fresh take on the burrito. You owe it to yourself to try it. And, as a recent convert to the Paelo diet, I truly appreciate the Paelo bowl. Chicken, Kale, veggies, spices. I could eat this every day!

  • Alex M.

Wide variety of foods and loved that it catered to everyone in our group with gluten and dairy sensitivities. The food was good, but with so many other places to eat in Portland, it wasn't good enough to draw me back again and again.

  • Arun S.

I decided to try something new for lunch, after getting some good reviews about this place. This place is really good.In what way, you ask? Well, the ambiance is something I really liked, with the high ceilings and wide layout. It was quite crowded when we walked in, but that can only mean a good thing! They also use really good quality ingredients. I had the veggie quesadilla and although I loved the taste, the portions were clearly lacking. I managed to gazump my quesadilla in a few bites and I was left staring at an empty box. It was a little on the pricey side, as well, which, for the quantity of food, I felt was a little harsh. Did I like the food and the place? Yes indeedy. Will I come here again? Hmm, maybe not. Not unless the carts/stores nearby are closed.

Stopped in yesterday on my lunch and ordered the Seasonal Special jambalaya. It was shrimp and sausage over jasmine rice with veggies in there too. It was very good! Had all the right favors, perfect amount of heat. Only down side is its not enough. The shrimp are very very small, and they fill the large bowl little less than halfway. I eat southern soul food quite regularly and though this was very good just give me a little more love! They know what they're doing but just need some more!! Will be back for a burito later on today. I still love this place to death though!! My love for them ain't gonna change!!

Enjoy getting a filling and great tasting burrito as often as I can! I appreciate the outreach given to me after I had some issues with service which kept me away, am back as a regular customer!

This place is fantastic! I don't normally write reviews. In fact, this is a first. My girlfriend and I are visiting town and we deal with certain food intolerances. The staff has been so patient, polite, helpful, informative and friendly. The decor is fun. The cafe is clean. The food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Laughing Planet Cafe to anyone. Thank you for great experiences! ***We've eaten here multiple times at this point :)

I'm a huge fan of Laughing Planet! Everything on the menu is amazing and it's so easy to eat healthy. Perfect for the vegetarian or vegan in the go. But don't worry carnivores, they've got you covered too! ; ) I highly recommend the Che Guevara burrito.

Great, great tasting food. High quality ingredients, and incredibly tasty. My husband and I are visiting family, so while wandering around downtown we decided to stop in. I remembered how great their food was from a previous trip. Then I was instantly reminded of something else--how snotty their employees are. Wow. This is the second location that has had someone at the front taking orders that has literally almost rolled their eyes at me while I was telling them what I wanted. What is it about this place that attracts unwilling and unfriendly employees? Too bad. If it weren't for that, I'd totally have given them a full 5.

  • Jen E.

come here on lunch from work and it is pretty good. I get lots of help from the staff on what to get if I am undecided and they have a huge selection of hot sauces.... I may have been caught more than once playing with the plastic dinos they have around..... I will admit that lol. They mark everything but the hot sauces as to what is vegan, gluten free etc.... so that helps some people out.

Found this place on Yelp while looking for somewhere close to my hotel for dinner. I had the Amaizin' Grace quesadilla with chimichurri. I love anything with chimichurri to be honest! The quesadilla came out fresh and hot! So hot I actually had to wait a few minutes to eat it. I also had chips and salsa, ordering the mango habanero salsa. I usually love spicy, but this was too spicy for me. The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was to die for! Definitely recommend getting one, you won't regret it! They accidentally refilled my drink with cola, not with root beer like I had ordered, but mistakes happen. You also put up your own plates and utensils when you are finished, making this a very casual and laid back atmosphere. This was a neat restaurant to eat at while visiting Portland!

  • Mac L.

Paid $13 for a skimpy bowl that had hardly any rice, and a berry lemonade that tasted moldy. Not eating here ever again. Screw me once, screw me twice this place is over-rated.

  • Catherine H.

I love LP and the fact that I have somewhere close to campus, that I can go to and eat a quick meal or stay longer and work on homework thanks to their Wifi. I have had a variety of their food, but usually opt for the Thai Bowl with Tempeh, which is delightful. If I am looking for something lighter, I go for the Eat Your Veggies Bowl. Also, their vegan Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies are amazing!

  • B. C.

Brussels sprouts are the seasonal veggie right now! FYI: I normally like what I order, however I was very let down by the Korean bowl. The overall combination of flavors, quality of ingredients, and lukewarm temperature that it was served in was unenjoyable. The baked goods seem to always be a hit! They have a tasty (but pricey) special with pork shoulder right now if you're game.

  • Holly C.

Seeing as how I work really close to this location, I have been here several times since my original review. Today I saw the poster for the special bowl. With pulled pork, rice, beans, guac and a variety of other toppings. My bowl was pretty good but I have a hard time spending this much money on lunch. I usually try to keep my lunch around $5 as much as possible. My bowl this time was good but it had very little meat and the mexican cheese was negligible. The pickled veggies were awesome though. My drink was not so good either. I couldn't drink it all. I thought being made it would be a robust sangria flavor, but it was lacking. In the past I have experienced not so good bowls that were very bland. I think it depends on who is making them.

Best Laughing Planet Cafe. Love going there because everyone that works there is so friendly and looks like such a clean restaurant. Outdoor patios as well.

Great food and I appreciate variety on the menu and all of the vegetarian/vegan options. Visited the Portland State location and was extremely pleased with the value, service, and food. Just moved to Portland and this is one of my new favorites. Will definitely go back.

First time in Portland so I figured why not check out what's close to my hotel. Stumbled across laughing planet and man no joke they will have a repeat customer. Had the Thai bowl and although far from the heat I typically like and expect of a Thai dish the overall blend of tastes with the garlic green beans, peanut sauce, and cilantro slaw (don't worry you'll barely notice the cilantro) was very well executed. You certainly can taste the fresh produce and for 7.50 I walked away satisfied and happy that I grabbed a to go menu, I'll be back before I leave to try something else.

  • Briana C.

I decided to try this place a few weeks ago to try something new near campus. I got the Thai bowl which was super colorful and looked good. The taste was alright, nothing super special. However, within 30 minutes of eating it I got the symptoms of food poisoning and was stuck in the bathroom for a while and felt sick for a few days afterwards. I'll never eat there again because of it.

  • Kisar D.

The food is excellent! The service is superb! The only complaint I have is that it is challenging to find a parking space to pick up your food. If all else fails, you can always park in the underground parking attached to the building, but you will have to pay $4 for the first hour! Other than that, I am A FAN! I have already been back two times this week and I will be going back for more. I just need to plan my times better, which means I need to go before or after the lunch rush, because it gets crazy packed at this location!

  • Tom S.

I went here for lunch with a friend as it was close by. I didn't really know what to expect from the place and it was ok. I had the bubba burrito in a bowl (nice option to have in a bowl, less chance of making a mess with a broken burrito shell). It was a very filling lunch and tasted decent. I guess the place is more vegetatiarin in nature as there were only a few pieces of chicken. Not my normal fare for lunch, or dinner for that matter. I guess I could be a bit more adventurous, but some of the flavors available are out of my comfort zone. The place does fill up at lunch time with a mix of office workers and PSU students. We got there early, so were able to get a seat and not stand in a long line. I'm probably not going to be a regular here, but I did feel that I got a good value.

Great vegetarian food. The ginger-berry smoothie has an amazing bite to it. I was in town for a few days, and ate here twice. I had two of their "bowls," the second one called 'Soylent Green' (anyone remember the movie?). It was made with tempeh, but one of my friends replied to my Facebook post "I had to stop for a minute there, that looked like meat" (I'm a vegetarian). The menu is marked with icons for vegan, nuts, gluten-free, etc., which makes finding food that meets your dietary restrictions easy. The atmosphere is a bit more open/modern than I'd prefer, but I suspect most visitors will enjoy it. Don't come here if your looking for a old-school hippy joint :-) In addition to the plentiful indoor seating, there are a few tables outside. Oh, and free wifi. Don't forget to ask for the password.

    (5)
  • Jay D.

I only had the che guevara burrito but it was decently priced, decently sized, and absolutely delicious. It tastes as if they added hints of ginger and fresh herbs. Quite amazing variety of fresh flavors for your taste buds in a simple burrito. I may go back again before my short visit ends!

    (5)
  • Laura H.

I love the idea of this place, however I am always disappointed with the quality of the food. Luke warm, raw broccoli in a bowl, and they burnt my daughters quesadilla. Staff was nice..enoughish

  • Vi B.

It's so strange to me- this Laughing Planet phenomenon. Truly, truly, you either love it or hate it. Some of my friends are addicted; others won't go near it. Me? After eating at the new PSU location, I'd say I'm more the latter. I don't know what it is about the food, it seems lacking in so much taste. I don't think healthy, vegan, vegetarian options automatically mean it has to be bland. The service was okay, but expect a long wait for a so-so burrito. I had never tried LP before, and I don't see myself doing it again.

  • Kyle H.

Best Kale salad I have had since moving to PDX. ! Highway to Kale with Cranberries and Pumpkin Seeds - So Good and the portion size (Small) was perfect and for 4$ you can't beat it. Ive been back a couple times already1

  • Faye F.

Loved their Thai bowl- great mix of veggies and heapings of tofu. A little on the pricey side but it's well worth it. The portions are pretty large. Will definitely return

  • Nicholas J.

My first time at Laughing Planet, I had the Green Chili Burrito and it was phenomenal! Christina helped us, and she was super friendly, and the nicest person when I asked her for a slight modification to my burrito. Love this place because of her! Most definitely will return as much as possible.

  • Shereen R.

This place has tons of options for people with allergies to gluten and dairy. Recently they introduced a new menu and I tried the chili with cheese, onions, and sour cream. It was delicious. They always have specials and I'm almost never disappointed. Try the bubba, the Bollywood bowl, and the Che Guevara.

  • Renae B.

So happy this place is only three blocks from home. They focus on sustainably and humanely produced products. The food was really good, too. I had the Korean BBQ bowl (with beef) and really enjoyed it. This will become a regular place for me, I am sure. Only drawback is having to bus your own table. That just happens to be a pet peeve of mine in any place where indoor dining is offered. Otherwise i wpuld have given five stars.

    (4)
  • Siaw M.

I love Laughing Planet, but I can't stand this specific store. If you're there at 11 or 11:30, you'll have a good wait for a simple burrito to go and you'll be infuriated watching multiple cooks make the grab and go food for customers who aren't there yet. Their priorities are screwed up. It makes me even more irate that I put money in the tip jar.

    (1)
  • Beric D.

Laughing planet is a great place to go for a big and healthy burrito. I typically get a grilled chicken deluxe which has sour cream and guac. The online ordering system is great if you are local and picking it up to go.

    (3)
  • Quinn W.

With a location in the direct vicinity of the university, the tastiness of this inexpensive luncheonette has had me bicycling back for more. A couple points of criticism: two dollars and fifty cents for tofu seems a tad pricy; and more often than not the burritos constructed here are overflowing with their internal juices. This results in said juices running down one's grippers as he takes a bite. Fair warning, lads and lasses!

    (4)
  • Lazlo H.

Finally tried it and ended up going twice this past week. $7 for a burrito and draft beer after 7pm is pretty hard to beat. So far, I've enjoyed both the Moroccan Grilled Veggie and Che Guevara. I also tried the BBQ Chicken quesadilla. I can see why some people would feel the items lack flavor. The "smart black beans" on their own are bland. They have a decent selection of hot sauces. However for what it's worth, it's a great fast casual option when the food carts have shut down for the day or you want to escape the rain with a brew.

Well, here's a nice clean spot for a downtown lunch on the run (with beer). Lot's of vegan options!!!

  • Lauren B.

I went here for a quick meal while on vacation in Portland, and I left wishing we had these in NJ. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and an affordable menu. Plus, you can get a beer. What's not to love?

  • Klaus O.

I went in there for Dinner today and had the grilled veggie burrito. It was yummy. Fresh ingredients and I flushed it down with a blue-suede shoes smoothie. I wanted a juice, but they just opened and did not have a juicer yet. But it is coming and I will be back to try one of them. There was this Dinosaur on my table and tried to eat my dinner, but he did not get any of it. Otherwise everything else went smooth.

    (4)
  • Emma N.

Very happy to have more vegan options closer to home. We were willing to go out of our way to get to some of the other laughing planet locations, but this is preferable. My favorite dish is the Soylent Green. This location is pretty big compared to some of the others, with plenty of dinos to go around.

yay for Laughing Planet moving in to SW Portland. Chipotle is such a let down every time, this bring some much needed variety to the world of lazy meals near PSU. Its nice having some place cheap and quick in the neighborhood with indoor seating. i love food carts but you cant beat a place like this come winter time love the sw style burrito!

  • Jessica G.

I have been to a few of the LP's around Portland. By far this location is my favorite. It's clean, the staff is friendly and always go out of their way to make sure I'm happy. I love the variety of food. I'm guilty of getting the same thing every single week, but every once in a while I'll switch it up and I'm never disappointed. I also, always feel good about the quality and healthiness of my food too. I would definitely recommend LP and this location in particular for a healthy, delicious, quickie lunch.

  • Ben N.

First visit to pick up a quick burrito for lunch. Ordered a chicken burrito with habenero salsa on the side. Plus: quick service, reasonable price, clean store. Minus: burrito was pre-made and plucked off a warming rack, with no indication how long it had been there Preliminary verdict: Well, this is no Cha Cha Cha (still resent Tri-Met shutting that place down) but it's not bad. Better, I would say, than either Chipotle or Taco Del Mar. I wasn't in the mood for vegetarian/vegan but it's nice having that option. I suspect I'll be back.

  • William P.

Why am I bothering to review Laughing Planet, the chain-mecca of cheap eats? Simply because they've recently revamped their menu, and on one visit it became very clear that LP v2.0 is quite a step forward from their previous incarnation. I ordered the Marrakesh Bowl, true to its name in smoky coriander-cumin deliciousness, and the Marionberry Ginger smoothie, which is quite simply the best smoothie I've ever had. I kid you not. If, like me, you pigeonholed LP as having bland but nourishing food, you may find your expectations quite pleasantly surprised.

  • Sahithya B.

Lot of vegetarian and healthy options for lunch! The weekly special - lebanese delight was tasty and sumptuous. The tortilla chips were unfortunately a little too oily for my taste, but I really enjoyed my bowl and I'm definitely coming back for more!

  • Jeff S.

My favorite is the Bubba Burrito, barbecue chicken and pinto beans. I like that you can go into any Laughing Planet in town and get the same, consistent quality of food. The employees are always very friendly, even when there is a line out the door at lunch time. There is not a ton of choices for lunch around PSU (not counting the carts), so Laughing Planet is a welcomed addition.

Very bland chicken mole burrito. Just blah.

  • Paul T.

Mexican? Yeah I'll eat Mexican. I eat here, too, every now & then. But for those who don't know Laughing Planet is hardly Mexican. Also, this location currently lacks some of the variety you'll find at other L.P.s. Wireless works & other diners will be either engaged in depressingly serious soul-baring--or have their nose in a laptop.

I used to go to the Laughing Planet near 21st street on the West side, but when this place opened up I was so happy because it is walking distance from my place. They always serve warm, fresh food with menus changing everyday. As a vegetarian, I can always add or sub tempeh with any dish. It's a great place to grab a quick dinner after work as well, with a nice, warm interior. I am a definite fan, for sure.

I only had the che guevara burrito but it was decently priced, decently sized, and absolutely delicious. It tastes as if they added hints of ginger and fresh herbs. Quite amazing variety of fresh flavors for your taste buds in a simple burrito. I may go back again before my short visit ends!

I love the idea of this place, however I am always disappointed with the quality of the food. Luke warm, raw broccoli in a bowl, and they burnt my daughters quesadilla. Staff was nice..enoughish

Wide variety of foods and loved that it catered to everyone in our group with gluten and dairy sensitivities. The food was good, but with so many other places to eat in Portland, it wasn't good enough to draw me back again and again.

  • Terri C.

If you are looking for a healthy place to grab something quick you won't be disappointed with The Laughing Planet Cafe.

come here on lunch from work and it is pretty good.

Paid $13 for a skimpy bowl that had hardly any rice, and a berry lemonade that tasted moldy. Not eating here ever again. Screw me once, screw me twice this place is over-rated.

My first time at Laughing Planet, I had the Green Chili Burrito and it was phenomenal!

Laughing planet is a great place to go for a big and healthy burrito. I typically get a grilled chicken deluxe which has sour cream and guac. The online ordering system is great if you are local and picking it up to go.

Very bland chicken mole burrito. Just blah.

My go-to meal is the Cuban bowl with added tempeh, and the marionberry-ginger smoothie. Always good, fresh, healthy food. Consistent and friendly service. Great options for someone like me who is health-conscious and is both allergic to gluten and lactose intolerant.

Yay! They should put one of these in at Progress Ridge where Fudruckers used to be... hmmm... Please!

Great atmosphere, awesome food. They offer really healthy vegan options and they have a nice layout. Make sure you check out their collection of action figures. I would definitely come back.

LP calls itself a "healthy cafe." What makes it healthy? I dont know. They have paleo bowls. So that's something. Burritos are great. But if I pay $2 extra for guac, I'm going to need MORE GUAC than that.

Wide variety of foods and loved that it catered to everyone in our group with gluten and dairy sensitivities. The food was good, but with so many other places to eat in Portland, it wasn't good enough to draw me back again and again.

Paid $13 for a skimpy bowl that had hardly any rice, and a berry lemonade that tasted moldy. Not eating here ever again. Screw me once, screw me twice this place is over-rated.

Best Kale salad I have had since moving to PDX. ! Highway to Kale with Cranberries and Pumpkin Seeds - So Good and the portion size (Small) was perfect and for 4$ you can't beat it. Ive been back a couple times already1

Loved their Thai bowl- great mix of veggies and heapings of tofu. A little on the pricey side but it's well worth it. The portions are pretty large. Will definitely return

My first time at Laughing Planet, I had the Green Chili Burrito and it was phenomenal! Christina helped us, and she was super friendly, and the nicest person when I asked her for a slight modification to my burrito. Love this place because of her! Most definitely will return as much as possible.

Lot of vegetarian and healthy options for lunch! The weekly special - lebanese delight was tasty and sumptuous. The tortilla chips were unfortunately a little too oily for my taste, but I really enjoyed my bowl and I'm definitely coming back for more!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla.
