This is the only mexican restaurant I like and I live in the Tri-Cities, I will drive to Hermiston just to eat here again! There just one thing you can choose to dislike or like there service can be slow when the restaurant is full of customers to me that was fine because I was having a get together with my family who lives in Hermiston.

My wife ordered a new York steak medium rare, the steak came back mooing. The waitress asked repeatedly what was wrong with the second steak that also came back wrong, mind you after the first was sent back to be cooked just a little more and ended up way over cooked. We rarely have time to go out as we have four little ones. What once was my favorite place to eat has left le with a bitter taste in my mouth that a strawberry Margarita couldn't fix. Two thumbs way down.

First Mexican place we tried upon moving here because a local recommended it. Everything here is good and is what I would expect from a good Mexican Place. Which honestly, isn't easy to find because many Mexican Places do not have good flavorful rice and beans but this place does. At first I was gonna give this place a 5 Star but then remembered, service all depends on the waitress. We've had some good waitresses but also have had some that never returned to the table to refill drinks.

Service here totally depends on the day. You can rarely get the same meal and have it taste the same as it once did. The staff is very rude and almost seem as though you are interrupting their conversation when you call to place an order or attempt to pay. Their prices online do not reflect the actual prices they charge in the restaurant and then on top or that they charge you $1 for takeout. PLUS they charge for chips and salsa if you don't eat there. This place used to be a great restaurant but it's quickly turning into a joke. I will no longer eat there and will make sure to tell everyone how the service, prices, and food are a joke.

Service was slow. Not greeted at all. The waitresses were hurried. Food was mediocre at best. My shrimp and crab burrito had no crab and little shrimp. It was however filled with bell peppers and tomatoes. Not a fan.

Best Mexican Restaurant in town! Great service and food. Just wish they had a better place- need more room and a better atmosphere in my opinion. Wish they would have purchased the restaurant across from McDonalds- it would have been a perfect spot for La Palma.

I love coming here, this is the best Mexican restaurant in town. It is usually pretty busy and sometimes the service is a little slow, but other than that they are very friendly. You've got to try the fresh guacamole, they prepare it at your table and it is so delicious!! Our guacamole is usually gone pretty quick lol!

Service was slow and impersonal. I'm pretty sure the Ceviche I was served had spoiled shrimp in it & it was terrible. But the highlight of our disappointment came when the waitress used a fly swatter to kill flys in the middle of the restaurant while we were eating. My boyfriend actually lost his appetite when he saw this. So gross.

Have to agree with Shawn. Not very good food at all. The little place in Stanfield on it's worst day is better than this dive.

Ok, this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have eaten at in the area. I drive from Kennewick, WA to eat here. The salsa and chips some of the best I have had, and if you request a side of beans with your chips they will bring it. I can't stop eating the chips and salsa, so I usually just order a la carte taco, enchilada or tamale which are all great. One of the only places that the hard shell taco is not soggy from the meat. My wife usually has a Margarita which is large, relatively inexpensive and strong when it comes to alcohol content so be careful is you are only an occasional drinker. If you like great rice and beans, the combination plates is a must. The restaurant has plenty of seating and is colorful, I have never had problems parking or being seated quickly. Great inexpensive place to go to eat in the summer and then hit up the races at the speedway, you can't find that in the tri-cities along with no sales tax. The staff is extremely good for being as busy as they are, and always friendly. I noticed that some of the same servers have been here for years.

If you find yourself in Hermiston, your options are no doubt limited. While you can certainly stick with Subway or Dominos for something edible, I'd highly recommend a stop here for some less processed cuisine. The fresh guacamole is really quite good. I enjoyed the chili spice in there; I've never tried that myself. Also, the enchilada mole is a good ol' standby, and the chicken was quite moist to boot. Overall I dare you to find better eats within 90 miles.

I went here with my sister and a friend from out of town this past weekend. I have to bump the rating from 4 stars to 5 because their food is that awesome. It definitely hits the spot. I would have loved to ordered more drinks if I wasn't driving. My strawberry margarita was great. Their service was efficient. And the best part is that they're quite affordable! This time I ordered the enchiladas verdes, and my sister ordered the pollo a la diabla, and both tasted great. We also got the fresh guacamole and it was delicious! I am still dreaming about this place 3 days later. I can't wait to go back.

Very slow. Foods not that good. Drink service is pretty slow even when there not busy. Cheap ingredients = cheap taste.

Worst mexican food place that I have ever eaten. We tried this a couple years ago when they opened and it was gross. I had the chili verde. It was bland and cold. It seemed a little stale. It was bad enough that I wouldn't try it again. Hopefully if you go there you have a better experience than we did.

It is not good Mexican food. The service needs some major help. The only time that I had worse service I was ignored at a restraint. This was really bad. We had to repeatedly ask to get refills on our drinks. The appetizer that we asked for before the meal came out with the meal so we had to try and eat both at the same time. The nachos were cold and the cheese was just a big glob all over everything. It looked like they just through the sour cream, guacamole and jalapeño on the top. It looked like crap and tasted almost as bad. I am ready to just never go back to this restaurant.

I love coming here for family dinners! It's super spacious and accommodating for large groups. The service is always spot on! Came here on my last trip home and had the sopes....ugh! so good!! My brother and I took down the entire basket of chips in minutes. The other dish that was super good was the carne asada. 1. it was HUGE and 2. smelled and tasted super delish!! My mouth is watering right now! My family has also ordered from La Palma to cater some of our family events and again...damn good!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
