Pricey but fresh = good quality food. Jackie (I think her name was Jackie) took very good care of me, very polite. Definitely recommend if you feel like treating yourself to a quality lunch.

My mother and I love Baja Fresh. We had never been to this location before. This time I decided to try the Nacho's. Man they were huge and delicious. Lots of toppings so ever single chip had something to go with it. Actually by the time I reached the bottom I ran out of chips and had a nice little bean salad at the bottom to clean up. My mother got her new favorite the BBQ chicken salad. Everything was great during our visit.

Baja Fresh is a delicious fast-food choice for those with an intolerance for Gluten. My husband and I didn't love Mexican food before- but after his diagnosis with Celiac disease, we eat here 3 times a month! The food is healthy, fast, and fresh!

Quick spot to grab a bite to eat. Guacamole and chips are good, and you can't skip past the salsa bar.

I've been dining here since they opened and the quality has never changed! I no longer live in Gresham but any time I'm home it's the one place I MUST visit! Today in particular was a great visit! Jackie the cashier was super nice and sincere. The food was quick and I'm not feeling well so I couldn't hear her and had to keep asking her to repeat what she had said. I felt so bad but she was so patient. Very nice. The last time I was here the gentleman actually brought my food to the table I was sitting at...not a normal thing for here. It was so nice! The quality of customer service has definitely improved since it's opened. I love it. Try it if visiting or come back if you love here! Yummy food!

Their salsa bar is good. This is a nice alternative to fast food restaurants and they have some healthier options. I have come here for several years but the most recent visit the food wasn't very good. I am hoping it was just a fluke because their salads are really good and their taquitos are good too.

Always have had fantastic service. Food here is consistent and great! We come here once a month and my favorite is the chips and salsa bar. Delicious!!!!!

Great consistent food, would be five stars if it was a little less expensive. Keep in mind this would be five stars for fast food, You should not expect gourmet food or over-the-top service! Just Good eats at a clean restaurant.

Eh, it's alright. Good food, a little pricey for what I consider unauthentic mexican, can have a long wait, and it's really nothing special. It's just yummy, but for the price and all the other amazing places to eat for the same amount, I really suggest just going somewhere else. Actually, I think the REAL authentic places are cheaper and give you more. I think this place really plays on the healthy aspect, it doesn't deep fry or grease up AS MUCH as other places. So, I don't know, if you're around and are hungry and looking for somewhat healthy, here you go!

Good food horrible service. Been here a few times now and the last two times I've been here the service has been horrible. I lost my debit card recently so I was given a temporary card by the bank and when I went to use it, it declined my purchase. I didn't have any cash at the moment so I had to come back but the cashier took humor in my embarrassment and was trying hard not to laugh. I came back twenty minutes later and made my purchase with the same card and you could see the look of surprise from the same cashier as if I were to get declined again. I was not pleased. Tonight I came here and I decided to use a coupon my room mate gave me and the cashier acknowledged it and then charged me full price. I showed her the error and then she fixes it but does not apologize for the mistake or my inconvenience. In addition, this was a to go order and I was charged for the pico de gallo which is no big deal the fact that she gave me an empty container and expected to get it on my own was insulting. I could of just got the smaller containers and filled it myself for free. In conclusion don't expect any good service here. I always get food to go here and unfortunately there aren't any other baja fresh locations close by so I guess I just have to put up with this crappy service. THIS LOCATION SUCKS....

This place is great, usually very clean and quiet later in the evening. The food is awesome and always made fresh. I've never had a bad experience here.

I don't do fast food restaurants.. That being said, this does not have that nasty, greasy, not healthy vibe at all about it. The food is made with fresh ingredients: ie the wall says: no lard no can opener etc.. lots of choices as well including fish tacos!! They have a great salsa bar as well that you can grab as many salsas to throw on top of that healthy food. And it might be what 2.00 more per item then a gross fast food joint.. heck you could save that money for not getting a heart attack on your doctor bill..

When I moved up to the Portland area from Southern Oregon, Baja Fresh was one of the first places I ate at. They're delicious! I love the fact that their food is fresh and not processed or stored in cans, etc... The Chicken Ultimo Burrito is my favorite. I would prefer them to Taco Bell any day of the week, except... THEY ARE EXPENSIVE for what you get! It's hard for two people to be in and out for less than $15 dollars. It's a mix between fast food and a sit down restaurant. I'm not sure how I would classify them...perhaps quick serve. It takes about 5-10 minutes for the food to be prepared because it is fresh. When I have the time and I was to "treat" myself, I'll eat here. Otherwise I unfortunately just stick with Taco Bell.

Always good, fresh food at decent prices. I also appreciate that it's not as 'heavy' with less grease and fat as you find at almost every other Mexican food joint around.

Better than taco bell but also more expensive

I'm sure you know about Baja Fresh. The ingredients are fresh and the food is hot and prepared on the spot. However as others have said, BF is expensive for what it is. Sure they are fresh but most places around the area (Mexican) do the same thing. The food at BF is good and the portion sizes are about right. I really like their chips and salsa and if your looking for a good burrito I suggest the "Dos Manos" enchilado style. It's one big burrito slathered in cheese and sour cream. It's delicious and filling (you will have leftovers) but as I said it runs about 12 bucks and you technically could get something similar and of the same size at La Caretta for a lot cheaper. Come to think of it, I don't really get why they are so expensive. Minus one star for pricing structure. All in all not a bad place to grab lunch if you don't mind spending a little more.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
