My wife and I met a friend of ours here a couple of months ago for lunch. On a suggestion, we had the Pumpkin curry and it did not disappoint. Service was prompt and the server attentive to our needs. We will have to enjoy this establishment again when we visit the Eugene area.

I love this place! Last year my daughter and one of her friends were passing through Eugene and wanted Thia food. They discovered this place by searching on their phones while driving up from San Francisco. I live in Eugene, but had never eaten there until my daughter suggested it. We were all very pleased with the food, especially the vegan and gluten-free items (for my daughter). Since that experience last year, I have been trying to talk my husband into going to Tasty Thia with me, but until last night-- he declined. Finally I got him (also gluten-free) to go and he was really impressed! It's always nice when you highly recommend something to someone and they realize you were not over estimating the experience. Also, I would like to add that the staff added to our enjoyable experience as well. Amanda was our wait person and she did an awesome job of recommending foods that were fitting for our dietary needs and our appetites. Five stars for both Tasty Thia Kitchen and for Amanda. We'll see you soon!

Went there for the first time today. The service was quick and attentive. The food was excellent. We started with a veggie spring roll and some cream cheese rolls both very good. For an Entree I had the Chicken Panang Curry, my older brother had the Chicken Yellow Curry, and my Mom had the Chicken Pad Thai. We all shared family style and it was delicious. Total tab after 20% tip $42 not bad for three people also sharing two apps. This was during lunch time so dinner might be slightly more. We just drank boring old tap water (come on I was with my Mom and it was still the afternoon).

Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! The MOST ENORMOUS gluten-free menu I have ever seen in my life! =) So many delicious choices! It took us a while to choose. This restaurant has the most perfect name - it was TASTY and fabulous THAI food! My friend and I split 2 entrees, had a very fresh and tasty spring roll appetizer with peanut sauce, and bubble tea! (We both had plenty to take home too.) FANTASTIC!

I have fallen in love with Tasy Thai ever since I had their breakfast! I have not had a bad dish their! I have had slow service but nothing that made me never want to come back. They have amazing curries, the Evil Jungle Curry is by far my favorite! I also really enjoy their Ginger Stir fry. Every dish is flavorful and colorful! I would highly recommend to anyone. Oh also they have gluten free menu options!

Their Drunken Noodles are the BEST!!! My favorite dish here!! The spiciest chilies I've ever tasted soo good!! However their bubble tea wasn't that great, their Thai ice tea makes up for it! Delicious food!!

Yeahhh, this place is really worth skipping. I am sort of disappointed in the lack of quality and taste at this Thai place because it's sooo close to where I live. Alas, I will have to make the drive to Ta Ra Rin or Sweet Basil from now on for my Thai-fix. I gave it 2 tries. Their ingredients just taste not very fresh and on the cheap side. In particular, I am not a fan of coconut milk they use. Some cabbage I got on the side tasted old and chemically, and the spring rolls were very mediocre. I am reluctant to make a statement regarding authenticity of a cuisine that is not my culture, but I am pretty sure this would qualify as an Americanized version of Thai. Americanized or not isn't a make or break in my book, but the above mentioned lack of quality and flavor that do it in for me. They never even asked me how spicy I wanted my curry (and I didn't realize until unwrapping my to-go order at home). It's also expensive, but they do give you big portions I guess. Pass.

Easily some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Great portions, but you definitely pay for the portions. The downside: the service is SO slow. I think it's worth the wait, but if you're in a hurry-pick another day. A good option: take out! I love: kow soi, hot and sour soup and green curry

  • Annette L.

tasty not so much! because of great reviews we thought to give it a try. my thing is I'll go twice due to sometimes eateries have a bad day. Both times chicken pad Thai was dry. The chicken was overcooked, hardly any peanut sauce, no veggies , small portions & this place is higher priced considering lack of quality. With so many yummy choices in Eugene I will not be returning. Two strikes your out!

Can't tell you how many times I have ordered something with tofu and I get chicken. They act like it's no big deal and wonder why I am even upset when I don't want to eat the poor dead flesh of some animal who suffered? Well, I don't eat meat and you shouldn't serve me meat! The waiters in the daytime are seriously gangster thugs who after the last time we complained said " You seem to complain a lot, maybe you would be better off eating somewhere else". What a spendid FING idea! I have been a faithful customer since pismai was in the little S. Eugene store off of hilyard! I have taken a lot of crap from that mean spirited little woman just to get some decent thai food but when the food sucks, the service sucks, and the owner condescends to you then it's time to move along. Ta ra rin and sweet basil are both WAY better than this dirty dump! The tofu is only fried once a week...really? It tastes like putrid old fish-oil! Nasty and rude, you can do better!

This place is good. But when it comes to delivering the goods, they fail on a monumental level. Hour long waits on delivery, in Eugene, that's unforgivable! and almost sinful. I have experienced this several times, and so have some other friends and roommates of mine. So, it's systemic and not just a fluke. With that being said. The food is good. But over-priced and there are better cheaper options available.

The food had no flavor. I am a big fan of thai food and have had thai food from tons of different places..this place had the least flavor of all of them. Way to overpriced

  • Heather S.

My family and I come here for breakfast a few times a month because it is the tastiest food for the best price in all of Eugene/Springfield. Why is it so incredible? - Best crispy hash brown frisbee ever ever ever - Glass noodle scramble is divine bliss - American favorites or thai influenced creations are plentiful on menu - You can order off the lunch menu if you prefer - Crepes are lovely - They have condiments to spice up your food available on request I love it. I hope they will always serve weekend brunch there. Parent's Note: They have high chairs and are incredibly kind about the rice mess left behind from a trying-to-be-neat toddler. There is a kid's menu available on their regular menu you can order from with dishes priced at around $3.00 each. Portions are generous.

Loved this easy going, relaxed restaurant. Food was generous, fresh and very tasty! Loved the green curry! Liked it so much I went back the next day, by myself. Took out of town guests there too!

One of the top three local Thai places. Get their seafood/salmon curry. You thank me later. They can get packed, so either prepare for a wait or arrive early or late.

Probably my favorite Thai place in town. The restaurant is comfortable and the staff are always nice and accommodating. Definitely the best Thai iced tea I've had in town and the White Pad Thai is perfection on a plate. I love this place!

First off, delivery to the South Hills is really quick on most nights. Once it took less than twenty minutes, quite impressive. The yellow curry was really tasty, the pad thai is never limp and the coconut ice cream is divine. They need to be careful about the plastic containers for the ice cream getting brittle and breaking. I got some plastic shards in my mouth from the cracked container, but no damage was done. The ice cream is so good, I forgive plastic pieces.

Came here last night for a friend's birthday dinner (hi, Suzanne A.!). We were a party of 12, and the layout of the restaurant makes seating for such a large group a little awkward. I felt very bad for the diners seated in booths next to our long table. Our waitress was friendly, but a little frazzled, and she seemed a little scattered when taking our orders. Then again, I think our group was a little intimidating. Ha. I thought the drinks were on the weak side. I had a Pink Ocean and a Mai Tai, and didn't really get a buzz at all. The cream cheese rolls I split with a friend were *amazing*. But of course, fried pockets with hot cream cheese inside are bound to be delicious. My honey BBQ chicken was tender, tasty, and a little spicy. Very yummy!

I judge every Thai restaurant I go to by its curry. Incidentally, Tasty Thai was the place where I started this habit. This was the Thai restaurant that made me fall in love with curry. I've only been to the Willamette location once (it's miles away from where I lived), but its dining-establishment atmosphere trumps the campus location any day. And the panang with tempeh is HEAVEN.

Ew this place is a disgrace to thai food. Its a joke of a place. I would not recommend it

In the wake of all of the Thai places popping up around Eugene, Tasty Thai seems to have gone above and beyond the existing businesses that have been established for years. Everything is well executed here in all aspects of the restaurant. Its not a large place, but the decor, ambiance, and nice layout make it pleasing on the eyes and ideal for groups and for two. The service is fantastic, super friendly and are so willing to accommodate that bad tipping is almost unthinkable. They're also very fast and are knowledgeable about some of the cool variety on the menu. Food has been excellent during each visit and I've managed to order something different each time. Clear winners here are the green curry, massaman, phad see yu, drunken noodles, phad thai, and the ingredients taste fresh with a presentation fancy enough for pictures. We may have Eugene's best right here. Is anyone from the Register Gaurd / Eugene Weekly paying attention?

Tasty is right! The chef, Pismai, uses really fresh, organic ingredients in wonderful and creative dishes. Even better, the servers are friendly and competent, they recommend dishes, and even give Thai food history and culture information. They have tons of vegetarian options, too. The breakfast is really good! It's a little different from what we expect because it's not an American breakfast, it's Thai. I highly recommend the Thai Crispy Egg "Benedict", the Thai Omelette or the Glass Noodle Scramble. UPDATE: I tried the campus location and was really disappointed. The girl at the counter asked me what I wanted the second I walked in the door, I hadn't even walked up to the counter yet, let alone looked at the menu. My main course arrived after my appetizer, which was unsettling. I also would have preferred an option to get a mug of tea rather than the whole pot. The selection is pretty sparse compared to the other location and where are the lunch specials? If I could get a comparable lunch deal to the one at the other location (soup, spring roll and course) I would eat here regularly as I work across the street.

Definitely one of my favorite joints in town, great food and great service. The duck which unfortunately is available only on Fridays & Saturdays is made in a limited fashion and is I consider their best dish, order the whole duck boneless you won't regret it. Now while I personally can't stand children around during a nice dinner with my girl the place is set up family friendly and the staff is very nice. I suggest you try the bar specials, Tasty Thai is a little hidden gem in the cultural wasteland that is the bottom of the south hill area great for after office get togethers, or the occasional tryst.

My husband and I went on a Thursday night. We arrived after 7pm and it was still moderately busy (2/3 full). The waitress was one of the best that we have ever encountered. She KNEW the menu well and recommended an excellent dish based on our likes/dislikes - Tiger Cry. We ordered hot and sour soup, split the order of Tiger Cry, and Coconut Ice Cream and Sweet Sticky Rice. The hot and sour soup was average, but edible. The Tiger Cry was great! It was flavorful, fresh, and a unique mix of ingredients. The desert was tasty and plenty for two people to split, unless you are a bit eater. The atmosphere was ok. Clean, but not trendy. We'll definitely eat there again for the food quality.

I have had countless dinners here with friends and family. The owners are accommodating and friendly, and it's a great place for a large (6-15) party. Wanting a low-key place for my graduation dinner, I reserved the big table in the back two months in advance. The owners were surprised at THAT much notice, but when the day came, the 15 person dinner was perfect! Tasty Thai needs to be embraced for what it is. It's totally decent/good Thai food in a comfortable, casual atmosphere where you can have a good time and walk away with a reasonable bill. You gotta love it!

I really like the thai food at this place, but I really hate how pricey it is. For the price you pay, they could give a little bit larger portions (which is why I didn't give this place 4 stars). I love the pad see ew and chicken skewers with peanut sauce. Decent bubble tea - campus location has better.

We have been to tasty Thai a couple times. I realized that the brown rice is a mixture of another black rice mixed in with the brown. The black rice has more starch in it. Just for FYI

I'm taking away a star from my review because of the service at breakfast. Do not come here if you have anywhere to be in the next 2 hours. The waitresses are sweet but clueless. Why would you clear a vacant table next to me when there is no one waiting and you haven't even asked if I want coffee after I've been here for 10 minutes? It's the kind of service that makes makes want to stay at home and scramble my own eggs. Though they wouldn't be nearly as Tasty...

Best Thai food in town. I always get drunken noodles at Thai places and this one wins hand down. The staff is always nice and the drinks are good as well

I went here a few years ago for lunch and recently had been dying to give it another try. The food then was excellent and only $5 for lunch. Something must have changed. The cabbage in my cabbage side salad was older than dirt. You know when you leave half a head of cabbage in the fridge and parts of it get all grey and gross and you throw that part away? Yeah, that's what my salad was made of, the part of the old cabbage you're supposed to toss. It looked and tasted awful. The pad thai was alright, but not worth dropping $10+ on. The help really wasn't all that friendly, either. Maybe they were just having an off night, but I left feeling incredibly disappointed.

Kind of run down inside, but the food is worth a try. Full disclosure: I have not been to Thailand, and I have no idea what is "authentic" and what isn't. This is another old Denny's type place with vinyl booths and an odd layout. I've only been once, and we had three items off the menu. Veggie Potstickers - Homemade, fine, but nothing spectacular. Special BBQ pork dish (name forgotten) - This is on the specials list, so I thought I'd give it a try. The pork was quite dry, which can be expected from this style of bbq, and the sauce was a slightly sweet and slightly spicy red sauce which was interesting but not too exciting. There was plenty of pork but really no veggies at all. This dish was perfectly edible, but I wouldn't order it again. Tofu Phad Thai - You have to try the the p.t. at new Thai place, and Tasty Thai does a good one. Not too sweet, not too oily, a nice rich fish sauce undertone and quite a bit of spice for 2 star. The fresh veggies were a little underwhelming, but that's not major minus. We'll go back.

Best breakfast! Great American classics like blueberry pancakes and eggs Benedict and crazy stuff like cashew omelet and glass noodle scramble. So delicious. Lunch and dinner are also excellent but I can't get over this breakfast! I'm getting the Thai omelet today.

First the good: Now the bad: The whole experience was vile (though to be fair, I only went once, which was more than enough). Lest I sound like some unkind, stuck-up food snob, let me qualify that comment: I love garlic, but not as an entree...I prefer that my noodles be cooked enough so I can chew them, or at least cut them with silverware...and when I order lunch, I'd like to get it before dinnertime. When I complained, the waitress mumbled something about being a person short that day and grudgingly offered to exchange my lunch for something else, but I had to decline - I was on a tight schedule, seeing as how I had plans later in the week. Think I'm exaggerating? It took 75 minutes from the time we ordered for "lunch" to reach our table - you be the judge of whether that's reasonable. Calling this Thai food is an affront to Thais everywhere - it was simply the worst "Asian" "food" I have ever had anywhere. Oddly, it came highly recommended - but my singular experience was so bad, I'm tempted to picket out front. Surely my fellow Eugeneans deserve a warning.

Great experience. Their pad thai is delicious and the peanut sauce completes it. The portions aren't too big either, but they are filling, which is great if you aren't trying to feel overstuffed like most people end up feeling at a lot of restaurants. The service was friendly and not too pushy. The best Thai dining experience in town.

We love Tasty Thai! As good as anything we have in SF Bay Area. Favorites are Tasty Thai Chicken Wings, Thom Ka, Panang, Massaman, Pumpkin and Evil Jungle curries, Spicy Eggplant, Pad See Eu, . Especially love the Halibut with Lychee. Coconut flan is awesome. We go every time we visit Eugene.

Interesting breakfast menu. I had the benedict...which is some funky thai version. That's not hollandaise. Maybe I don't want to know what it is. My wife got the cashew egg dish, and it was nice, so I jacked her. Trippy pancakes: heavy, but good.

I love Thai, and this place is in my neighborhood, so I really wish I could like it more. Right after I moved to Eugene, I stayed away from this place for over a year because of the way that hair in our food was handled. More than one hair, clearly not belonging to me or to my companion, was present in the curry . The hippie waitress didn't ask if we wanted a replacement (which we got) or a refund. She just shrugged and just took the plate away without even apologizing, as if it were a normal occurrence. It certainly got me thinking about all the Eugene stereotypes we'd heard before we moved here. Oh, wow, man, just chill, it's only hair! It's like, totally organic and everything! That was many years ago, though, and I am not a grudge-holder (more out of laziness than anything else), so we gave it another shot. Experience #2 was excellent. I had a pumpkin curry that both my daughter and I loved and delicious fresh salad rolls (which are now too expensive IMO) with plum sauce. Overall, my experience with Tasty Thai has been hit or miss, with emphasis on the misses the last few times. Don't go for lunch. The last few times I have, the service has been meh, the portions uneven (my companion got nowhere near enough rice and brought half of the curry home to eat over our own rice), and the curry not as good as what I can do at home. They respond to my requests for heat properly maybe 50% of the time. I get the feeling that the really good chefs work at night, and on the day shift they have a lot of turnover or college kids or something. For dinner, my experience is about 60% solid, four-star dinners and 40% nothing-special-I-paid-how-much? two-star dinners. I've had a kickass Som Tum salad here a couple of times - big enough for an entire meal, lots of crisp papaya and cabbage, great blend of tang and heat, and generously topped with peanuts. I've also had as many Som Tums that were crap - flaccid papaya drowned in too much vinegarry (?!) sauce, wilted, discolored cabbage, and little or no peanut. I don't want to write this place off completely. It sounds like I may have to try it on a weekend and brave the crowds to get the good stuff. I promise to come back with a report if I do!

It looks like Tasty Thai is housed in a building that used to be a diner, but they've made it look pretty nice. The restaurant was a lot nicer inside than I was expecting-- cloth napkins, nice black booths, and a wood burning stove on one side. Big menu, they let you pick your choice of protein for your entrees (seafood, beef, chicken, or tofu). Entrees hover around $10. Very large portions, 2 entrees are enough for dinner for 2 and lunch for you both the next day. 2 entrees = $25 (including tip). Veggie potstickers: alright, but amazing dipping sauce. Khad soi??? noodles: red curry based sauce, with noodles, tofu, and lots of veggies: carrots, broccoli, mustard greens (which were damn tasty), red and green bell peppers, red onions, aand... maybe something else. The entree with the crispy rice patties: this is one of the cold entrees, which scared me, but it was amazing. Even better then next day wrapped in a leaf of lettuce taco-style for lunch. Mango Basil Special: Mmm wonderful as well. Very fresh veggies, nice n crunchy. Big portions, and they tell you to ask for more rice if you want it. Delicious sauces. Mmm. I have yet to order a dish I don't like. They have wine and some beer on tap, for those interested. Or try the $2 pot of jasmine tea, which is more than enough for 2. Our waitress was the woman who owns the place, and she was super sweet, bringing out extra rice for us to take home without us even asking.

Folks tend to think Mekala's and Ring of Fire serve the best Thai in Eugene. Folks tend to be wrong. Tasty Thai not only serves the best food (try the masaman or panang with any protein you like), the prices are great, the people are kind, the location is convenient, and it's the perfect restaurant for two to dine.

    (4)
  • Ryan S.

The service was great and our waitress was really friendly, but my food just wasn't very good. I think they're charging about twice as much as I would pay for their food.

I'm very picky about my Thai food! I'm glad that Eugene is getting competitive with its Thai food offering-Tasty Thai definitely changes the playing field. They offer vegetarian options and gluten-free options as well as some exciting specialty cocktails that make them a great destination. Their green curry is excellent, and the other dishes I've tried are equally delicious. It's a pretty standard Thai menu. If you haven't tried Thai before, this will give you a good idea what the fuss is about. Everything is always fresh and appetizing. As for atmos, they lose a star. Not really their fault, TT is housed in an old Chinese restaurant building with booths lining the walls. Great for privacy and it keeps the noise levels down overall. Occasionally I've been seated under a vent blasting cold air--tables to the right of the entrance--get a table on the other side of the restaurant if you're fussy about getting blown by a vent (which I am). This is an architectural flaw of buildings like this, not the restaurant's fault--but it's worth noting, since I bring my extended family here on occasion and my mom is even fussier about that than I am! Be prepared to take your leftovers home. The portions are large, but you won't feel it in the pocket book!

Split a panang curry and mango stir fry dish, both yummy. Plenty of healthy and veg options. Friendly service, no wait. Nice cocktail menu. Ambiance is better than strip mall, not quite fine dining. Our vegetarian dishes were about $13 each. That's higher than average in this area for what it is, but it was good. I'm told they do a great weekend brunch as well. Adequate parking and though it's near a busy street, that's not noticeable from inside.

    (4)
  • Chenoa B.

Delicious food but slow service. They have a variety of vegetarian options which I love and a friend told me they are great for gluten free needs also. The shop is classy and the food is top notch but you better not be on a time schedule or in a hurry.

I keep coming back and bringing guests! You can count on their food as delicous, generous portions, with an efficient waiter. The yellow curry with pumpkin, potatoes & tofu is my go to choice, its delicious with any protein. Today I tried their special Yellow Foot mushroom plate. Yum!!! Plus a pot of ginger tea that I love is only $2! It's casual dress. There's parking in the back of the restaurant if the front is filled. It's pretty busy at lunch but there's very little wait time for food.

I have been to this location a couple of times. I got my standard Tom yum order and was pretty disappointed. It didn't have the substance I would expect. The vegetables were not fresh and there were less than a cup of them in the entire order. The tofu was pretty inedible. It is the first time I haven't finished a bowl. The second time I visited I order the beef salad for a change. The salad was $16 at that rate I expected some good quality meat but the beef was off colored and over cooked. I will say the veggies were fresh and nicely seasoned. All and all it's overpriced for what it delivers.

We dined here last night. The restaraunt was moderately busy. The service was good, though lacked a welcome feel. I ordered the BBQ chicken on bed of rice. Somehow, in my mind I pictured a dish, that actually looked appetizing. Not only was the rice smothered in an over the top sweet sauce, but the sliced chicken on top, what amounted to maybe an ounce, was gray colored and looked like it had been prepared yesterday. It was absolutely pathetic. Please Eugene, you can do better.

There are several good Thai places in Eugene, and this is one of them. I like the use of fresh veggies, and the yummy rice. Prices are reasonable, and the thai coffee is yum! The only "off" experience I ever had was when my mother ordered honey roasted duck, several weeks after I had tried it as well. I remembered it as a super awesome dish with baby bok choi. She got the bok choi all right, but the duck looked and tasted like it had come from a Chinese market (red dyed and heavily spiced with anise and five spice)--it was unlike the meal I had eaten several weeks previous! That's the only challenge we've ever had, service is fantastic, family friendly (although this is a restaurant where kids can't run wild, but well behaved kids are more than welcome), and enjoyable. The waiter is consistently awesome!

  • Lauri M.

I have been here a few times with different people and they have all loved it. The meals are cheap and offer great portion sizes. The bubble tea is delicious too! The waiter runs the whole place himself and does a great job at it. Definitely my new favorite thai place around town.

  • Sierra S.

This is probably one of the best Thai food places I have been to. This is/was me and my friend's regular place to go. Only been here a couple times though, and I'm boring and I always get the same thing to eat. It's always great every time though. I guess the reason for the one less star is cause the staff is just kinda odd. Other than that it's great!

Delicious Thai bubble tea. The Thai noodle soup is my favorite! Friendly staff and fast service. The food is always consistent and delicious.

We have been here twice now and didn't notice the slow service previously mentioned. We were greeted, ordered and served relatively fast. They weren't packed but did have several tables taken. This time we both ordered the drunken noodles and thought they were great. We will continue coming back.

  • Mark A.

If I could give this 3 1/2 stars I would. Some things about it I really like, and some are meh. I have had some really good meals, and a couple of duds. Bubble tea gets a big plus. The tapioca pearls are always fresh and soft, and the tea is not too sweet or overly icy. Hot pots are recommended. These are just big soup cauldrons served over a sterno flame. Lots of different flavor combinations are available, and all of the ones I have tried were good. Soups are generally good, but stay away from the pho. They will make most dishes with your choice of protein or faux protein. The worst thing I've had here was a crepe with various vegetables and chicken, far too greasy and not flavorful. A stir fry rice dish I had recently was on the dry side and skimpy on the protein, but pretty good otherwise. If you like your Thai food hot, you'll have to doctor it yourself since most dishes, even those shown as spicy on the menu, are pretty low on heat. They do bring a selection of sauces on request, all pretty powerful, so be judicious. Service is friendly but not always prompt. It's a pretty big place, something like 100 seats, but there are never more than two waitstaff on duty, and they get a good number of takeout calls and walkup customers for to-go orders. I've never had their breakfast/brunch offerings on weekends, so I'll leave it at that.

We are regulars. Usually (and I do mean most of the time), it is quite tasty. On rare occasions a dish doesn't come out as well as expected, but I've found perfect consistency is an issue at most restaurants. Seldom does any restaurant consistently deliver as well as the best time you ever had it. Sometimes the opposite is true, it's not just really good, it's really great. I remember one time we got mango basil chicken that was borderline gourmet there. Our favorites are the panang curry, ka pad ga prow, spicy eggplant, drunken noodles, mango basil chicken (it is really amazing combination. Who would guess mango would compliment it so well, but the sweet and tart mango pieces really wake up the dish, when they serve it with a lot of fresh mango bits it's amazing). We usually order to go and generally buy extra so we can have some for lunch the next day. And they deliver locally.

The food is tremendous, and worth coming back for. I'm willing to try different curries because of the great taste. They use fresh ingredients which is a plus. But, their prices are far too high for a paper napkin restaurant. If you are willing to pay a bit more, then give it a try.

Hello. So, I think I had the best sweet n sour Trout I have ever had! It was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! It had just enough peppers and sauce, that blended so nicely. Well done! There is another trendy Thai place in town that is really good to, but I think the selection of authentic Thai food here beats any other place in town. Could have used a little refill on the rice, but it wasn't offered. Besides that, great time!

The food here has always been good, but the wait is just terrible. We've been here three times in the last month--two weekends and one week night--and every time we've ended up waiting an hour and a half for our meals. I'm not sure what the problem is: being short staffed on the floor or in the kitchen or if we just happened to hit three particularly bad nights, but we won't be going back. Too bad, this could have been our regular neighborhood restaurant.

BEWARE!!! ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENT AFTER PAYING WITH A CARD HERE!!! I used to absolutely love this place. I have nothing bad to say about their food because it's the best thai I have had in Eugene which makes me sad that I will not be returning. Their customer service is the problem. Update: after my terrible experience, I found a place with way better Thai food: Chaiyo Thai food truck! Go there instead! Now on to why I don't recommend eating here: I went here with my brother and fiance to enjoy a nice meal after spending all day moving. The food was great, the service was fine, and then the bill came. Business as usual. I wanted to pay for the meal since the guys had spent all day moving my furniture. The waitress came back 5 minutes later telling me that my card wasn't working. She didn't say it was declined (which wasn't possible - hello payday!) but just that it didn't work. She said she tried running it 3 times and it just wouldn't work. Annoyed and confused, I had my fiance pay for the meal. 5 minutes later she comes back telling us his card went through. We paid and left. A few days later, I look at my bank statement and notice that my account is about $120 lower than I thought it should be. I start looking through my charges and sure enough, 3 charges from Tasty Thai for our dinner that night. I immediately called my fiance to have him check his statement as well, and he was also charged 3 times! So they charged us well over $200 for this $40 meal. I called Tasty Thai and told them what happened and the person on staff took my name and number and said the manager would call me back that night. Well, he/she never called. I called back the next morning and finally got in contact with the manager, who was totally rude, inconsiderate, and not in any way trying to make the situation right. He didn't even apologize, and all he said was that they could put the charges back on our cards, and that it would take up to 10 business days for that to happen. I mentioned that he could have over drafted my account, put my fiance's card over the limit, and charged us tons of money in overdraft/over-limit fees, and he didn't really seem to care. On top of his callous attitude, he didn't even offer to refund our money for the meal, or give us any kind of coupon for our next visit. When I hinted that we would be more likely to come back again if he were to offer us something like that, he said he could only refund the money that they overcharged. Honestly, I wouldn't have cared that much if he was sincerely apologetic and just refunded our money, but when he was just cold and wasn't willing to go above and beyond in any way, that was too much for me. I will not go back here to eat. My fiance and I ate here quite often, so it's a bummer.

Although the food was good, the service was deplorable. It took us an hour to get our main meal, and this was after having to get up and walk to the front desk to ask for our appetizers (which we had promptly ordered when we were first seated). We later told the waitress we were very frustrated waiting for our main dish and that we wanted to leave. She said the kitchen was very backed up but that our food would arrive soon. Once we did get our duck special, it was dry. However the veggie rolls and the sweet and sour soup were good. If you must eat here, I strongly suggest you order take out. The management needs help.

I don't know what the hell to say about Tasty Thai anymore. This is the third time I've written about them, and it is a swinging pendulum. I've had some of the best Thai meals ever from them, and I've also had several of the worst. Tasty Thai is one of the very few places that delivers to my neighborhood, but they are definitely on my 'no way' list these days. They consistently mess up our orders (two dinners, total. Not that complicated.) On several occasions, my partner (who orders hers 'medium') has received dishes that are way too hot for her to eat and I ('extra hot') find myself eating something lacking in spice. I don't think we are neurotic. . .because this doesn't happen anywhere else. The other thing about ordering delivery. . .the person who takes the order always says it will be there 'as soon as they can.' Ummm. . . could you be more specific? I've had meals that came in 30-40 minutes but, unfortunately, I've also had meals that took upwards of 90 minutes, and then were screwed up when they got here. Some of the biggest disappointments ever. I'll probably eat from Tasty Thai again and, who knows, maybe I'll even be inspired to write a 4th review after some great experience but, for now, I couldn't recommend them to anybody.

We went to Tasty Thai the day after it reopened after a remodeling project. Now it looks beautiful AND the food is delicious. I had the Panang Curry with great flavor, color and vegetables cooked perfectly. The wait staff was warm, accommodating and attentive to our every need. We would go frequently but we're out of state. For sure we'll eat here again next time we visit Eugene.

Decent thai but seems to lack the authentic choices of the one on campus. I shall stick to the tasty thai on campus for now!

Epic fail! Usually I order garlic ginger wraps which are awesome, but this time I got the core of the lettuce which is bitter and terrible and lousy for wrapping. I also ordered evil jungle curry which has potatoes which were underdone. Serious consistency issues here folks.

This is the best food in town! We would eat here every night if we could! It's usually busy so go a bit early or maybe after 7:30, if not you'll probably have to park on the street. That's a good sign that they're full of customers!

This place is really good. Not the most authentic but quite delicious nonetheless. Great veggie dumplings and the sauces are really good.

Pretty tasty Thai food! Server was pleasant and the prices were reasonable! Portions to me we're a little small for Thai food! I'm used to plates overflowing with food ready to share with the rest of the table. I'll be back! Restaurant is very clean and decorated nicely!

Tasty Thai is a moderately priced establishment, the atmosphere is nice-ish. I found our waitress to be very nice and attentive. I ordered the green curry and I was not disappointed. There is an option to make your meal vegan, which is what I did. The tofu wasn't that great so I actually just ate everything else and let my fiancé eat my tofu. It just didn't hold the curry flavor well which indicates improper prep. I would recommend this place if you're looking for good Thai and friendly service. The waitress went out if her way and even organized a little dish of olive oil for me to put on my rice and some extra chillies. I'm pregnant so every now and then when I go to places I make odd little requests lol. My fiancé was happy with his meal and when I looked at other people food in the restaurant ( I do that cause I am a food perve :p) I made a mental note to come back so I could try those dishes too. :)

Typical for Eugene's Thai scene. Middling and overpriced Thai, with inconsistent quality. Some of their brunch items are reminiscent of something a small child might dream up. That's not a terrible thing, I suppose - I am all for creative approaches to fusion or Americanized Asian cuisines - but the dishes taste as weird as they sound. Peanut curry just does not jive well with crispy bacon and eggs on glass noodles.

Restaurant very clean. Large parking lot. We found this out after trying to order for delivery and it turned out we were beyond the delivery area. We ordered Thai Iced Tea, Kow Pan (pork fried rice), chicken panang, brown rice and Jasmin rice, and spicy pork with rice. The Drunken Noodles were our fave but all the food was good. I really liked the brown rice/wild rice combo, too. Would definitely order again as it was worth the drive!

Came here the other night with friends and ordered off both menus the GF and normal menu. We each had several apps and entrees. All in all it was a pretty good meal. I would come back here again next time I am in town.

My boyfriend, roommate, friends & I LOVE this place! We all come here together when we are looking for a great thai food fix that is still affordable. We have tried out many other delicious thai places in town, and they are good, but I really appreciate the delicious food & presentation available here. My favorite meal? The Pad See Ew with tempeh. I love that they offer vegetarian selections. Apparently, according to my friends, the Panang Curry and the Massaman Curry are also some amazing and delicious choices from here. Also, they have a nice local beer selection and the atmosphere is clean, nice, and interesting. The wall art is beautiful and great to look at/talk about. Also family friendly and if you live in the area they also deliver!! This was SO wonderful when we were living in the Friendly Street neighborhood. We used the delivery a lot. What more can I say? Love it!

I've tried them enough times to have a pretty good idea of how the food usually turns out. I really want to like this place more, but I only think i go here because of convenience of delivery for me. Like most of Eugene the Thai cuisine is just about "meh" Appetizers - Coconut prawns were dry and tasted like they were cooked in the microwave, very disappointing. The fried spring rolls are typical, nothing special. I love salad rolls but unfortunately I wont order them from here anymore. Rice paper stuffed with lettuce, almost no rice noodles, a little bland tofu. No basil, no mint, no flavor. You have to drown them in peanut sauce for them to taste like much, but then they aren't very healthy right? Curry- Red and Green are ok. I've had a really nice experience with the green, it is one of my favorites. I had the red once and it tasted almost metallic? I'm not sure how to describe it, just like something in the flavor was completely off so that it just tasted very weird to me. Pad Thai - Just a no-go. This is a Thai staple dish which is what scares me that they cant get right. Noodles are very rubbery and harden within minutes of starting to eat, I believe this could just be a serious lack of sauce? I couldn't put enough lime on it for flavor, just bland. Bland chicken as well, but I usually get tofu anyway. Soup- I love tom kha soup, and I find it very hard to complain about almost anywhere. But I liked how they did it here. Just a dish that has that thai flavor you want, creamy coconut milk and sweet. I realize that this doesn't sound too appealing, but the food really is not terrible. If you are in a pinch go ahead, but I would suggest going elsewhere if you can. I plan on trying there fried rice dishes to see how they are. I have seen lots of great reviews for their drinks and i've sadly never tried one. SIDE NOTE- For everyone freaking out about a gluten free menu please stop... I don't understand, if you are gluten free then you should know like me its not actually astounding. MUCH ethnic food (thai, chinese, japanese, etc.) either is gluten free already or can be with a simple change in the soy sauce etc. Rice noodles, rice, curries, soups, all gluten free already... If you want gluten free and excellent food just go to a really good place, order one of these dishes that is already made without gluten ingredients and then double check with the server. If it is a nice place they will be able to tweak it so easily and they will be used to it. [ Yes i have had server experience in this type of thing and I could make 95% of the food on the menu gluten free without a hitch]

We went here for lunch today, and waited at least a half hour for a waitress to take our drink order. We were also greeted by an uninvited guest - a fly that flew around our table for the entire meal. The food was nice and decently spiced, and as a vegetarian, I was grateful for the tofu option. The bubble tea was also pretty decent.

Oh how I was craving Thai food today! It had been probably a year or so since I have been here so we decided to try it again. We were seated right away and the menu special board looked great and the food smelled great. The server was very friendly and fast. The Thai iced tea was very good! The salad rolls were big and were just ok and I felt like you needed to pile on the peanut sauce just to cover up the overwhelming taste that was coming from inside. They looked nice, but the taste was meh! The cashew chicken was just good but nothing to write home about. The peanut sauce curry chicken, now while it looked good as well was hard to eat. I was hungry so I did eat it but let me tell you this will probably be my last trip here. I wanted to find another gem in Eugene and this was not it darn it. :-(

We waited an hour and a half and for our food and it never came, on a night where there were only three other tables being served. We decided to leave and they still wanted us to pay for our drinks.

Great food, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. I have eaten here a few times and the food is consistently good. The price is a bit high, but the portions were very big. I wish they would give a small salad with the meals.

Two and a half. I ordered the extra-hot green curry. It came to the table not hot at all--either spice-wise nor temperature-wise. I like this place and my husband's sweet and sour fish was delicious. I am getting tired of the Thai restaurants not making things spicy enough. I cannot find a hot curry to save my life. Is there a special code for getting a good spicy curry in this town? I am bored with this. I will have to learn to cook it myself!

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, mid-day take-out snack, anything! I really like this place. There are so many different variations on the menu. I like the spunky variety of curry. I like the green and pumpkin curry. I like the stir fry dishes and I especially like the ginger dishes. The noodles are good too. So, let me just get to the point: BREAKFAST. YUM. Tasty Thai Kitchen serves breakfast from 9:30am-1pm on Saturdays and Sundays. I think it's well worth it to come here for breakfast, especially if you like a savory breakfast. I know I'll be back for breakfast and other meals because I want to try the other dishes on the menu. Also, Tasty Thai has a lot of gluten-free dishes. I had the glass noodle scramble with hash browns and toast. They also included fresh baked banana bread and fruit. Honestly, this is probably one of the best breakfast meals I've ever had. I know I'm hyping this place up, but hey, I was impressed. I really didn't know what to expect with Thai breakfast, but it was legit. I was skeptical about this place when I first heard about it a year ago because I already figured Chao Pra Ya as my Thai place in Eugene, but then this place really just grew on me. I started by ordering take-out Pad Thai then moved further to having a few occasional dinners here. Then today I just had breakfast here. Now I find myself wanting to come here more! The service varies. The lady during breakfast is super nice and helpful. The times I've been here for dinner vary. I've never received bad service here, but I've gotten that cold feeling from a server a few times, but hey, everyone has down days. Heck, I don't care as long as the server brings my food.

I love tasty thai so much, and I've tried all the thai food around! Their purple/redish rice makes them a total winner. You can have just about anything and love it here, and it's not your typical variety of thai food. There are some really interesting options, but my favorite is the classic red curry dish. I'll warn you- it's an addicting place, you'll be back!

Best bubble tea in town. The flavors always so consistently good. I can't say the same for the tapioca balls though. They're either always under cooked our over cooked. =( so sad... but hey, they're better than milky way though!

Tasty Thai was my favorite Thai restaurant in Eugene/Springfield when I lived there. I've only eaten there for lunch and dinner so I can't comment on their breakfast items. I wouldn't think of a Thai restaurant for breakfast. I've always appreciated the kind staff who remember my friends and me each time we went there. They have delicious bubble tea (more flavors would have been great). I also love that it's a safe place to eat for someone who needs gluten-free food. I wouldn't say it's the best Thai food I've ever had but more often than not I found myself there and enjoying it. Service has always been good, and in particular, the waiter who is bald (sorry, don't know his name), he's my favorite. Parking is good in the lot or on the street. It's also on the bus line for those who need that.

I've only been here once and it was a mostly positive experience. The food was good other than needing a little salt and the portions were quite generous, especially for lunch. The only real issue we encountered was that there was only one server so there was a wait to be seated and have our orders taken even though the place was close to empty. Thankfully once we ordered the food did come out pretty quickly. All in all Tasty Thai is a decent restaurant with decent food and I would patronize it again if I were in the neighborhood or wanted some delivery. However, when it comes to great Thai food in Eugene, Ta Ra Rin is still the clear winner.

The pad se ew was tasty. The beef laab was not real authentic laab. Chunky pieces of beef cooked in some limes and salt with sprinkle of chili pepper. It was sad. The Thom Kha soup was ok but they used old mushrooms in the soup :( it was brown with spots. The jasmine rice tasted OLD. I eat rice everyday so I know when rice is bad. For the price we expected fresh food! Shame on u Tasty Thai!!!

I LOVE this place! The only reason that I am not giving them 5 stars is because it sort of weirds me out that a Thai place serves breakfast (yes, i'm a spaz, i know). If you love curry you should definitely give these guys a try. My favorite is the green, and I have tried it with tofu and chicken and both were awesome. Usually there are no potatoes in green curry so I was a little surprised to find them when I first tried this place, and it was a welcome addition. Really awesome prices, they offer delivery, and the staff is super friendly. I'm also a Sweet Basil fan, but this place is much closer to where I live and I dont have to deal with a nightmare parking situation so I have started to frequent Tasty Thai more.
