I've eaten there several times with my kids and it's always been a good time. The pizza is excellent and they have a ton of creative choices. Even better, since it's a video store you can eat your pizza there and get free entertainment. Where else can you take the family for pizza and get a free movie? They've always been happy to put on a specific movie for us too when we ask. Also, sign up for the Birthday club for a postcard good for a free pizza on your birthday (handwritten postcard, no less).

Great fresh pizza! We had a meatball pizza....one of the best pies I've ever had. The sauce is so fresh and tasty. The meatballs were spot on. Pass on the Caesar salad....it was in unmemorable. Worth the drive to Coburg.

This was some of the best pizza we have had. We ordered the barbecued chicken pizza with thin crust. The crust was perfect and the toppings really good.

I have NEVER had a more delicious pizza from this small community oriented pizza restaurant! We got a mozzarella stuffed crust Americana pizza that was loaded with pepperoni, Italian sausage, onions and ground beef. Totally delicioso! This appears to be a two or three person operation. The service was personable and efficient. My beer selection, however, turned out to be a poor choice. I opted for a local brew, an Oakshire Amber Ale. Amber ales traditionally are malt forward beers and the hop IBUs are fairly slight. This amber ale whose primary ingredient you would swear are pencil shavings was overly hopped and not very refreshing. Fortunately the pizza so outshone the beer that the evening's fare still rated a "as good it gets."

I had to dock it a point. Seems only the Mckenzie Meat eaters pizza deserves a 5 star. I've had the a hawaiian pizza and another single topping pizza without the same delicious results. Still my favorite in the area though! I dream of that meat eaters pizza on my healthy days.

Ordered from here twice while in Eugene! SO awesome! Thai peanut wings were excellent, as well as the Coburg Colossus pizza! Highly recommend this place! We had it delivered, so cannot comment on the establishment.

5 stars for the pizza and pretty much everything else. Take away a star for the staff. Kids who don't care about their job and a woman who is always obsessed with closing on time. She has a fake good attitude to the point where it's almost like being mocked or someone is twisting her arm. Maybe replace the staff with people who want to do good work.

We recently moved to Harrisburg and wanted to give this place a try. We were a group of four and ordered two different large pizzas at $30 each. The wait time was average and service was fine. The pizza was excellent, we ordered the BLT and BBQ pork. With a few beverages the bill rang in at $70. Both pizzas were excellent, and we were all very happy with the size and quality of the ingredients. That was the good, now the not so good. If I am spending $70 I would really like to have a better dining experience. The dining room is tiny and surrounded by rental DVDs. If I am eating in the Whit, and spending less than $20 this would be fine. But if you are going to charge a premium, then I expect at least an average dining experience to go along with it. My other beef was with the cutlery. You do not get plates or china, you get crappy paper plates, throw away plastic cups and plastic cutlery. This was perhaps the most disappointing aspect of the entire dining experience for us. I felt like we were at an office birthday party for Bob in accounting, you know where everyone has a slice of cheap grocery store cake and then throws that and the plastic cutlery right in the trash. I am at a loss at how I can spend $70 on two pizzas and still have to eat with such low rent items. Seems to me it would be cheaper in the long run to invest in some quality reusable items and would result in a far more upscale dining experience.

The restaurant has seven tables and seats maybe 20-25 people with extra outdoor cafe table seating. It also is a video rental store, so the walls were covered with videos. You have to order at the front and bus your own tables. They had a menu of over fifty specialty pizzas and calzone. We wanted a supreme type with meat and vegetables, but had to pick one of their theme pizzas. They're offered on thin, thick or stuffed crust. The crust on the thick was good and I'd probably get an extra cup of marinara sauce to eat it with like a bread stick next time. The sodas were just cans and bottles in a case. We ordered one large pizza for three adults and a preschooler. With drinks the bill was $36. I'm not sure what the drinks cost individually because the prices weren't posted or on the receipt.

Excellent food, terrible service This is the second time I have tried out Coburg Pizza Company. The first time was an enjoyable lunch with a workgroup. We called in advance to talk about the logistics of bringing in a group of approx 10 people and were treated like an inconvenience but still decided to try it out. Food was great, both the pizza and salad were awesome so a coworker and I decided to go again. The second time around started out similar, we called to find out what pizza slices were available for lunch and were hastily told a list of items while feeling like we were wasting the workers valuable time. Once we arrived my coworker bought her lunch combo, and was charged over 10$ which seemed odd considering the previous week it had only been about 7$. She questioned the price and the guy said no that's right the pizza combo should be that much. Upon checking their website we found that she had in fact been overcharged. Called back to ask about this and they made it sound like we were making it up or had ordered something extra or that the website was out of date. Come to find out, they had charged her extra for a movie. No apology given, they just said ok we will fix it. Rude service all around, will not be going back to this location. Hopefully the Springfield option is better.

We finally decided to give Coburg Pizza a try. It was a very difficult decision due to the wide selection of pizza combinations. First off I recommend looking at the menu before you come in. they are busy and you will feel guilty for not having your decision ready at the counter. we chose a the Italia with sausage on thick crust. the crust was like an excellent bread stick. the pesto was flavorful and the sun dried tomatoes were to die for. I really liked the chunky garlic in fact I would have liked more. the cheese had great texture and flavor when hot, but began to get chewy as it cooled. the chewy cheese toward the end was the only downside to me. that's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. I recommend coming with an appetite it's filling. great job Coburg Pizza!

First, let me just say that the pizza is fantastic, which fact I honestly didn't expect. I also didn't expect there to be scones or buffalo wings either. I didn't try any, but people I was with said the wings were equally good. The wine list is extensive and they have list of suggested wines to match each pizza, and to top it all off, there's a video library to match Netflix, so you can rent the evening's entertainment while you're there as well. How sweet is that?! I still prefer Track Town Pizza over by the campus, but the experience is different enough that it's really a close call. You won't regret a visit.

AMAZING pizza!! Tried this place for the first time today and was totally blown away. The service is outstanding, Sabrina really took good care of us and was extremely warm and friendly. We ordered two medium pizzas, The Big Texas BBQ Steak, and the Broccoli Chedar Bacon. Both were perfectly cooked, with fresh ingredients, and delicious crusts and sauces. Not greasy at all, a problem that plagues most other pizza restaurants. Nice big menu too, with all the basics plus many other fun creations to try. Delicious pizza, friendly staff, will definitely be back. Highly recommend this gem in Coburg to anyone who appreciates truly great pizza.

We are fulltimer RVers and are typically in this area twice a year to visit my oldest daughter, her husband, and two grandkids. Whenever we visit we plan one at least one pizza night and there is only one place to go, The Coburg Pizza Company! Great pizza, in fact we compare every pizza we get to theirs, we have found no place anywhere with better pizza. They are not cheap but you get what you pay for. We have tried many of their pizzas, and their effort, their quality ingredients speak well for the place. If you want a great pizza, and are willing to pay a little more for quality, this is certainly the place to go! I highly recommend the Coburg Pizza Company.

Amazing pizza! Very unique choices, tasty as well! My absolute favorite one would have to be the jalapeño popper pizza! Spicy yet sweet! They have a great buffalo chicken pasta too...baked with crumbles of blue cheese on top. Only thing I would take out next time is the celery ;) a little too much in there if you ask me. Worth the drive to Coburg!

I am not sure what I want to rate this one yet, we showed up one Saturday afternoon and it seemed like the attitude in there was a little salty at first. The parking lot was full, and the dining area was limited, but the reason the tude at first was because we parked in the front when there is no signs posted to not park there. We have a diesel truck that you need to let cool down before shutting off, and warm up before turning on so this was an inconvenience. We also had a party of 6 which was hard to find seating for, and we would have sat outside but they don't allow alcoholic beverages on their outside seating area which also caused us to all have to split up for a bit until someone left. Now for the food, it's very expensive, and although we went through all the above it was well worth it! We had Thai peanut chicken wings, and I must say that I ate more than I usually eat! They were very flavorful! We also had the Memphis pulled pork pizza which comes with a side of cole slaw to put on top and I must say it was pretty creative and very good. I would probably go to this location if it was just 2 people, or if you see a few cars in the parking lot other wise go to the Springfield location. I am hoping the attitude was a one time deal and it won't stop us from going back. It did seem to change the longer we were there.

So my husband and I circled back over the past few months and I have to say this place has improved drastically. The older woman who used to work the front counter has been moved to the back preparing the pizza I was told. VASTLY IMPROVED CUSTOMER SERVICE! There is a younger woman, Mandy, working there with amazing customer service skills! She pops out from behind the counter to check on the patrons, their food, etc. She's friendly, cheerful, fast on the register, and works very hard. You need to give her a raise because she's keeping your customers coming back. She's making you some serious money! The food is now served piping hot, breadsticks are served with two pots of marinara sauce, and we don't have to go through a litany of how to place basil under all the other ingredients to keep it from burning up during the cooking process. A huge, huge improvement!!

Eh is a good way to describe this one. I want to like this place, I really do. I cant say i was blown away though :/ Pizza was good but expensive. We spent Almost $50 for two people and service was eh. They took forever and lost part of our order. I Love that they still function because they are quite the drive from Eugene and I'm all about small businesses but eh. They tried but I can't be a fan. Would be willing to try them again if I happen to find myself out there but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

My brother is a well-traveled man who's been all over the world. I, sadly, haven't left the country, but I've been to several places in the USA. We both agree this is PHENOMENAL pizza! We stopped in on a blustery, rainy Friday for lunch to give it a try, as the pizza scene in Eugene/Springfield is hit-or-miss at best (except for their Springfield location...didn't know it was there!). We each got a couple of slices from the display and took menus back to our table to oogle over the selections. Wow wow wow. I could almost feel myself tacking on 30 or 40 pounds from reading the menu and almost TASTING the selections. The pizzas we actually ate were fantastic, and I can't wait to go back!

Friendly service. Tasty fresh toppings. Huge menu! Nice selection of wine, beer and other drinks. $20 for a medium pizza today, but it's filling!! Great fresh seasonings on the pizza as well! We got the Margarita Pizza! Delicious - tastes like home made sausage...it might be!

Phenomenal pizza, perfect fluffy/crisp crust with original and fresh toppings. Decent number of brews on tap as well. The ONLY reason this place earned 3 stars as opposed to five, was the less then stellar customer service. We (husband+ me) were one of two tables being served in the establishment and the service was a little too curt for both of us. None of the staff really put any effort into making us feel welcome, and my husband had the ring the service bell on the front counter 3 times to pay our bill--the entire staff was sitting at one of the front tables talking amongst themselves the whole time. Pizza was amazing but it unfortunately did not make up for the mediocre service.

Easily the best pizza in Eugene/Springfield. The dough is always fluffy and perfectly cooked and the staff is super nice and friendly. The establishment is clean and quaint. They've made a regular customer of me!

Great pizza, probably the best we have had in a long time. We created our own and choose thick crust. It was done perfect and very delicious. Only negative statement would be the attitude of the person who took our order. I believe it was the owner, having never been there before and traveling through we stopped to get something to eat. The person at the counter seemed annoyed by our questions. I asked if their spaghetti was good, she replied it is canned sauce we don't make the sauce, but we cook the noodles, this is a pizza place. So, I thought why is the pasta on the menu then and then we decided to order the pizza. Which by the way was excellent. The wait staff other then the owner was very friendly. I will go again and give it another try. The dinning area was in the video rental section, so clearly they were more designed for take out. They were clean and the booth was comfortable.

I can honestly say I have tried almost every item on the extensive menu!!! And... Dun dun dun......I've still not found a pizza, wings, pasta, sandwich, beer, etc that I wouldn't order again. Sometimes it's so hard to decide I just have whatever the weekly feature is. I love eating at Coburg pizza company for the Great food friendly community vibe and cool staff. P.s. Try the Michelangelo verdè it's da bomb.

Loved this place since they opened. Perfect family setting and great pizza. The sauce is great, the crust is just right, and the staff is amazing. The movies are a bit pricey, so Red Box is probably the better option for films. But the pizza is the best you'll get almost anywhere!!!!!

Like everything about Coburg Pizza Company. Their thin crust is awesome and they have a unique twist on American Pizza. Dough is great and sauce is good. Toppings are what makes Coburg Pizza a unique experience and a great way to spend a day chillin' with the family. By far, best pizza in the Eugene metro area.

I visit the Eugene area a couple of times a year to see a very close friend. When I'm there I always make a point of visiting one or both of the restaurants and they never disappoint in any way. It's some of my favorite pizza and wings ever. I've even gone in twice in one day just so I could enjoy the fabulous cinnamon roll. The facilities are well-run and friendly. Hand-made pizza takes time so I plan on taking plenty of time to enjoy my meal. It's evident that hard work goes into every facet of CPC. Can't wait for my next trip to the area.

SO RUDE. I came here about three weeks ago with a group of 5 people -- we ordered two pizzas: the barbeque chicken pizza and the bacon cheeseburger pizza. Neither of these tasted good - something tastes artificial about the tomato sauce. Plus, the 'deep dish' crust was missing something. Just missing its fluff and freshness. That's only the beginning. The lady working here is seriously one of the most rude, unprofessional people i've ever encountered. Not only was she pissed off towards me, she was NOT treating her workers kindly either -- that is a true sign of poor management and just...bad service. I wouldn't come here ever again.

We stopped here twice during an RV trip to Montana. We are the worlds pickiest eaters! Every person in our family of five absolutely love it!!! The salads were very fresh and each salad dressing was homemade. The pastas were delicious ... We hand the spaghetti and meatballs, chicken Alfredo, and the Cajun pasta. The cAlzone was huge and very tasty and the pizza was the best we've ever had! We love you Coburg Pizza Company!!!

If you are looking for great pizza you must try this. This is not your ordinary crust with toppings. These guys are innovators. Combinations I never thought could go on a pizza that ridiculously delicious. They also have salads, pasta and mouth watering chicken wings. It is a regular on our list.

I was a big fan of Pizza Schmizza because I like different and interesting pizzas. I'm not into the same old boring "let's see how many ways we can rearrange pepperoni" on a pizza. The problem is, Pizza Schmizza went out of business in Eugene back in 2009 and I was bummed. I had heard about the Coburg Pizza Company through word of mouth and much to my surprise, it was outstanding. I still hitup Schmizza when I'm in Portland, but head to head, this pizza is by far better and more creative. It's not the cheap, fast food style (Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, etc) so don't expect that. It's in the range of the upscale Eugene places (Papa's Pizza, Pegasus Pizza, Track Town, Roaring Rapids, etc) where you're looking at a $20-$25 pizza pie. So obviously if paying that much is too expensive, you won't like this place either. But comparing Coburg to those places, they're on par or cheaper for price. They don't skimp on toppings, sauce or cheese. In my opinion, they are without question the best pizza place in Eugene. Period. I give them 5 stars whole heartedly. This place is the best kept secret in Eugene. Definitely a place I'd tell visitors to eat if they're new to Eugene or here for just a few days.

  • David H.

Very impressive. The place is clean (immaculate really), and the pizza was superb. We ordered the thin crust, which actually seemed like a normal crust to me (their normal crust must be pretty thick). But I liked everything about it--awesome pepperoni, and great cheese, sauce, and crust. Absolutely first rate pizza! My 2 suggestions for them are: 1) put some cheese over the veggie toppings. My green peppers just rolled off the slices (much to my dog's delight), and 2) be a little more careful when doing half and half toppings. My wife's mushrooms were spilling over onto my half way too much.

The food is actually really great, but eating with plastic silverware out of foil dishes takes away from the appeal. They should invest in a dishwasher and silverware

I have read the reviews here and wonder why these folks think this is expensive pizza and where they find cheap pizza that doesn't come from a freezer section! I think their pizza is great, selection is extensive and price isn't that high. Love the dessert pizza, (but wouldn't eat it from the dumpster). Salads are large and done well too. Cinnamon bread sticks are REALLY good.

Yum! Dining options in Coburg are pretty limited past 7 P.M., so I stopped in last night to order a pepperoni pizza, along with some garlic Parmesan breadsticks and a movie. The total came to $19.52, it was ready in 15 minutes, and the service was super friendly. They have a pretty diverse menu, so I look forward to trying more types of pizza. Limited video rental selection though, which is to be expected in a town of fewer than 1,000 people. But they have a decent enough selection of new releases.

My husband and I regularly travel I-5 and as we were getting close to Coburg, we thought pizza sounded good for a late lunch. We quickly found Coburg Pizza on yelp, read the reviews and decided to give it a shot. I am glad we did. Granted it is different to have a video place plus pizza, but why not? When we arrived, there were a couple tables open, but it was clean, the staff was friendly and we were hungry. They had quite a selection of pizza's to choose from. We ordered a medium with smoked pepperoni, black olives and fresh mushrooms. It was delicious! They did check in with us to see if we needed anything and to ask how the pizza was. Without a doubt we would stop again for the great pizza. Yes, it is not a typical pizza joint, but it was just a nice, clean place to eat a fantastic pizza. Thank you Coburg Pizza Company!

My husband and I were hungry about 8pm a few nights ago. We decided to go to Coburg Pizza Company because he got a tweet from them every single day. The pizza names they were featuring sounded really good. We drove out to Coburg - which isn't really that far away from home - and stopped by. We didn't expect it to be a video store, but we went in anyhow. The atmosphere was friendly. There was a new release dvd playing, and we were greeted as we came in the door. We told the man at the counter we had come because of the tweets. This pizza shoppe has it all! We finally decided to get a small pizza, half hawaiian and half bacon cheeseburger. My husband is a huge fan of hawaiian so, this was the true test. We opted to take our pizza home. It arrived quickly. As soon as we got to the car, we realized we had a problem: The pizza smelled too good to drive safely. However, my husband is extremely stubborn and we made it home before I could make him pull the car over so we could eat. Let me tell you: The dough on this pizza is extraordinary. We ordered deep dish (available: thin crust, deep dish, and stuffed) and it was just the right texture of crisp and doughy. The sauce was well balanced with the toppings. The bacon on the bacon cheeseburger pizza was in chunks - no skinny cheap bacon here! My husband proclaimed his hawaiian pizza excellent. He loved the pineapple, and didn't pick it off. This is high praise - he usually eats a few pieces then picks the rest off. All told, we'll go back. There are many more pizzas on the menu I'd love to try - especially one based upon a jalapeno popper. What an idea! Later that night, we got another tweet from Coburg Pizza Company - They had heard their tweets had brought in a customer, and the next time we came back, the stix were on them. Thanks guys!

I don't know why this place is so delicious, but it is. The vegetarian pizzas are great, and it's not a big deal to have them swap out any toppings. If you can, eat there. It's a video rental place, but intakes for an entertaining meal. There is always a movie playing, so you get dinner and a show in a cozy place.

Frozen tasteless crust, bland canned red sauce, video store atmosphere, pricey. Toppings only minor bright spot.

I had the pleasure of dining there while visiting the area this past weekend. The weather had turned rainy and as I walked from the parking lot into the front door, I was greeted with the heavenly aromas of sauteed onion and garlic, zesty red tomato, pizza baking and the friendly face of the young man behind the counter. The front is a video store with an incredible selection of videos. This place is clearly family friendly and there was a great DVD playing which you can watch while you're waiting to pick up a meal, or while you're dining in the dining area. My pizza was great! Generous toppings and the small pizza was far more than I could eat. I took the remainder to go for a scrumptious midnight snack back at the hotel. I felt like I was visiting someone's home - it was very cozy. One wall is lined with antique family photos - ask about them when you go. I did and was transported back in time with the history of the family who immigrated from Italy. One of the women in the photos was a survivor of the Titanic! Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely make this stop a priority.

My daughter and I made the drive from Eugene to what sounded like an exciting pizza place. We weren't disappointed. The thick and chewy crust was...you guessed it: Thick and Chewy. Yum! The service was quick and friendly. I was a little skeptical when I saw it was a video store too, but quickly changed my mind when I got into the car with my pizza and my daughter and I couldn't wait to get home to dig in. Once we got home, the family pronounced the pizza, "Really good.". I just wish they were closer. Mmmmm.....Getting hungry just thinking about them...

First time visiting Coburg and we decided to get a quick bite at Coburg Pizza Company. Menu had a large selection, probably could use a lot less writing all over it. When your hungry and in a hurry, you want the quick and concise menu, not an epic poem. The seating is very limited, as it is mainly a video store. We had a slice of the Italia and a slice of the Club. The pizza was very good. But for a pizza place to get my approval rating as an overall good experience they need to meet certain requirements. First, I asked how big the slices were and I was told they are about the size of two traditional slices. Second, I must of not carefully read the menu because the Club slice came with a salad and dressing on the pizza! I don't like ranch dressing to begin with and here it was ON a pizza slice. Third, the slices were $4.29 each! This would be a great deal if they weren't the size of two breadsticks. So, it is less than an hour after having lunch at Coburg pizza and I am still hungry! Oh, they serve their slices on paper plates and provide plastic forks and knives(obviously eco-friendly types, but that it itself is ironic). While my husband was cutting his slice with one of the knives it broke in half. The company would do itself and everyone a favor by providing reusable dishes & just hand washing them instead of providing convenient garbage clutter. I would have also liked to see that they get most or some of their ingredients locally. One more thing, I noticed they use Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. For a "gourmet" pizza place they should be able to find a BBQ sauce not loaded with HIgh Fructose Corn Syrup. As a Texan, I know my BBQ sauces! If you are in Coburg and curious about their pizza, try it. Be sure to order either a whole pizza or at least two slices a person.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
