Like the gentleman whose tablet was stolen from his room, presumably by staff, I found the hotel to be an untrustworthy business. Steer clear. We were billed twice for our stay here. Once for the room we stayed in, and once for an erroneous date the reservations agent put down. My daughter had a convention she wanted to attend, so she saved up her own money, and made a reservation on her own prepaid card. She took down the details and a few weeks later she and my wife turn up at the hotel. They inform them they show no reservation for the two of them, but can still put them in a room. The price was $89 instead of $69, but they figured the reservation was deleted or something. Besides, it was late and we didn't want to argue. When my daughter's prepaid savings card didn't work for the payment when they were checking out and my wife had to cover the stay. It turns out that the card didn't work for partial payment because they had ALSO cleaned out the savings from my daughter's card. When we called the hotel to point that out, they said that they showed us as a no-show on an entirely different date. NOTE: If we no-showed a week before our actual reservation, the hotel would have charged us at that time, right? The unauthorized charge to my daughter's card was NOT made on the date they claim we no-showed. The unauthorized charge was made on when we were at the hotel checking out from our actual stay. My daughter's card shows two transactions on that date for 69.45 and $10 My wife's credit card shows a charge for 158.90 I pointed out that this wasn't one of those things where we cancelled our plans and neglected to call the hotel. This was also not a situation where the date changed. The convention had been scheduled for months in advance and was not moved. When I asked that since we actually showed up on the correct date and paid above and beyond the rate we were promised, could they consider this a simple error, and waive the extra charge? The response: "Sir, we are trained not to make errors." While I suppose a hotel where the staff is incapable of making an error is a good thing, I'd probably recommend steering clear of this joint, or if you have to stay there, maybe record your conversations with them for evidence, just in case. I spoke with Amy at the hotel on 8/8, who identified as a manager, informed me about their no-errors policy and that they would not issue a refund. I've checked other sites, and have found other people complaining about unauthorized charges. For us, the cost was $109 extra ($69 for my daughter's charge, and $20/night for the increased price on our actual stay) All they had to do to overcharge us was write the date down wrong, and say they didn't. Maybe this happens to someone every evening, who knows? Do you really want to try your luck?

Cheap price on travelweb. Very clean hotel. Check in process was a bit tedious. The pillows seemed decades old - no structure at all. Sleep was a nightmare. The walls are horribly thin. Every snore and other noise carried through into our room. Any conversations or TV held in the rooms next door blared into our room. If you want to sleep, this is not the place for you.

I checked out of the hotel on Tues, April 15th and I did not notice my tablet, a black Microsoft Surface RT with black type cover, was missing until I arrived at my next location. I immediately called the hotel and tried to speak to the manager, who was unavailable, less than 24 hrs after I checked out. It took him 2 hours to call me back. In the meantime, I spoke to the corporate customer service who told me I had to directly contact the local management who "did not keep a set schedule". While I was out of service zone, he called and left a voicemail, and I responded after returning to cell phone service. He said that he and his staff had tore the hotel apart and did not find my tablet. He urged me to double check my belongings. And I did. I knew exactly where I had last places my tablet, on top of the microwave in the cabinet in my hotel room, and yet they couldn't find it. I filed a police report, and noticed the management that I would be back in Tulsa on Friday. Friday afternoon, 20 minutes before I arrived, they rented the room I stayed in to someone else, so I was therefore denied from searching the room myself. The manager/owner of the hotel stands behind each one of his employees have worked with him for "over 5 years". But, if the room hadn't been rented out, and everyone had checked the room, and various parts of the hotel, where is my tablet? It should still be on top of the microwave in the cupboard. And if it's not, there must be some other explanation. While the rooms were nice, there were stains in the carpet, and the decor was outdated. The only saving grace was Brenda, the evening desk clerk. She was a sweetheart. And when my office chair was broken (the last place I was using my tablet on the desk!) she replaced it quickly. There are many other hotels in Tulsa. I would STRONGLY recommend staying somewhere else. Unless you want things missing, or an owner/manager who isn't geared towards customer service.

Disgusting! The bathtub had some kind of dead bugs in it, I did not feel comfortable showering without my flip flops. Felt like I was back in those college dorms where STDs were everywhere. Took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to work the shower. The only reason why it did not get 1 star is because the room was somewhat clean.

I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites two non-consecutive nights recently while on a pleasure trip to Tulsa. We stayed downtown for most of the trip but since we were flying in about midnight on the first night and had a 7 AM flight for departure we chose the Country Inn for its proximity to the airport and for price as we were only going to spend a few hours in the room. For our needs this hotel meets reasonable expectations. Let's be real, who would choose to stay here as a destination? It is in a remote area with a few other cheap airport hotels, across from a truck yard not even near the fast food restaurants. You get what you pay for. Arrival was pleasant. Dead tired from our late arrival the desk clerk, Jason, was chipper, attentive and helpful. The hotel is set back from the street and at 90 degrees from it so there is minimal traffic noise (not that there is any traffic, this is a pretty rural area). The stairway to the second floor is right in the lobby which is convenient and offers a degree of security for single travelers. The room is ordinary motel grade but does have a refrigerator. The bathroom had lots of peeling paint and a toilet seat that was barely attached. The toiletries are standard motel fare. Although the clerk mentioned there were some large families on the first floor our room was quiet all night. The second night we stayed we needed to drop our rental car off at the airport and get a ride back, then a very early morning ride back to the airport. The front desk took very detailed notes of our requirements and met them without a hitch. Those who travel a lot know that is rare. Jason was our driver to the airport and at that time of morning wasn't quite so chipper but that's to be expected. The room we had the second night also had peeling paint and a broken toilet seat. Come on Carlson, how hard is it to tighten the screws on the seat once a month? It would be unfair to expect too much from a hotel like this and give it a negative rating because it's not a 5-star luxury resort because guess what ... it's not a 5-star luxury resort. As a cheap airport hotel it serves its purpose and gets an average 3 stars for that reason.
