Food, service, and price were all very, very good. The Enchiladas Cancun were incredible (one each chicken, crab, and shrimp) with queso, guacamole, and sour cream. The dining room is nothing to brag about (the only reason we didn't give five stars), and the dishes weren't quite hot enough for our tastes but they had some pepper sauce that fixed that. We will definitely go back.

I have never ever given a score this low . As we came in we were seated very rapidly. The staff were excellent and very attentive. The chips were good too. Rice and beans were good . We ordered guacamole, which. Was ok not the best but good. But the food and the salsa was just bad. Salsa wS jar quality . Where were the chili's , onions ,jalapeños tomato, and celantro . Queso blanco on the tacos ?None at this restaurant. The tacos lacked flavor. We ordered 2 kinds. Taco shells were also store bought. Why ?

If I could give this place less stars I would. beans taste like they were from a can, rice out of a box, queso looked like spoiled milk. overall this was probably the worst "Mexican" food I've ever eaten. I know this sounds harsh, but I've eaten some of the best Mexican food this country has to offer. from the east coast to the west coast, hell I've even been down to Mexico just to have a taco. so, I'm kind of a food snob. this place just doesn't make the cut. I don't eat fast food, but I would take taco bueno over this place. save yourself a trip and make a sandwich at home.

I just moved to town from Tucson Arizona and on a recommendation from a friend tried this place. Coming from southern Arizona I know a thing or two about Mexican food. The place was busy but we were seated right away. The waitstaff came over immediately and got our drinks and gave us our chips and salsa. The salsa I thought was pretty good. I had the Butito Americano. It's a burrito with chicken rice beans and sour cream then topped with the white cheese sauce. The overall taste was pretty good the only thing is the tortilla was a little chewy and tough to cut as if it were heated in the microwave. Overall average Mexican food in Tahlequah.

I had the carnitas. The beans and rice were the same as just about every other I've are but the pork tips were big and chunky. They were moist and had just the right amount of fat. Everyone else in my group loved their food.

Great food and service. Try the Emily Special and ask for chorizo to be added. Wash it down with one of their awesome margarita's.

overall, great place. Just your everyday cheap restaurant experience. Full bar, XX on tap. Extensive menu, tons of options at good prices. The very best part is the portions! You will never leave hungry.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
