The BEST in Mexican Food for 100 miles! Maybe more :)! I can't believe we waited so long to try this place! The exterior isn't much but inside the decor is trendy and sophisticated. I've had several items on the menu now. The California Enchiladas are one of my favs! Don't leave without trying the Hot Salsa...made fresh daily! They also have mild but the HOT is an absolute favorite!

The food was awful...ordered the Steak Burrito it was full of nothing but RICE & BEANS & tiny tiny cuts of dried meat, very dry & NO flavor! Eating rice & beans wrapped up was not my idea of going out to eat!! Very DISAPPOINTED!!!!! I would give it a -10 on the scale.

Wife, son, and I just had dinner at El Fogons. We loved the spicy hot salsa! The wait staff was very courteous and we got seated after a couple minute wait during the bust evening rush. All three of us enjoyed our meals. Watchout, the plates come out HoT. The portions are huge! We ended up bringing leftovers home. Good food, good service, fair prices.

I very much enjoy their Mexico City Tacos (Spicy Pork). Very tasty. Complimentary chips and salsa are also very good. My wife loves their Pollo Al Ajillo (and she's not a huge fan of Mexican food, so that's saying a lot). Service is always very friendly. Kitchen is pretty quick too. No crazy waits for food. Exterior looks a bit like a dive, but the interior of this restaurant is clean and well-maintained (but perhaps a bit cramped).

My first time eating here. It's a small place. Not sure about it being wheelchair accessible like it says on the main page for this place, as it is a very small entrance where you go in a door and immediately turn to go through another one. I didn't see anything stating where the entrance was, so I just guessed which side of the building the door was on and happened to be correct. There's no waiting area like restaurants usually have, and it's a very cramped feeling. I ate alone and it took longer to get my food then places I've been at with 5-6 other people with me, and that's not good. The food was good, but I overheard them offering queso to other people coming in after me that wasn't offered to me. Even though someone is eating alone money is money, and that's why you're in business. The salsa and chips were different, it's not the typical salsa I've eaten at other mexican restaurants; it was good, but too spicy. Every other mexican restaurant I've eaten at has always came by to ask how the food was, and this place didn't. The waitress also placed the plate away from me and I had to grab it to put it in front of me and she waited till after I did that to tell me the plate might be hot. Other restaurants I have eaten at have always put the plate in front of me stating it was hot while they were putting it down. So the customer service aspect of this place is ok, nothing more. The prices are a little higher but not by much. Overall it's a good place to eat but so is a million other places. Good/Great customer service is what keeps people coming back, and I won't be going back.

I love their guacamole and the food is always fresh and just down right good. You always have the whole staff checking to make sure you have everything you need. My only complaint is it is a very small place. Which would be fine if people didn't allow their children to be loud and rude. But that is of course not the restaurant fault. It definitely one of the best places in owasso for Mexican.

some of the best Mexican food in this country. I love this place and the spinach enchiladas are amazing. I also love the guacamole. The salsas are so fresh also! There is something for everyone.

The food here is great and authentic. I usually get the enchiladas or the chimichanga and I love both. The roasted salsa is delicious. Sometimes I come just for the chips and salsa 'to go' you can buy a big tub for around $5. The staff is very friendly, always smiling and helpful. Food comes out quickly and tastes fresh. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, we always bring our out of town friends to eat at El Fogon because it is our favorite.

We just had a wonderful lunch at El Fogon Mexican Restaurant. We both had the puffy taco lunch and the tacos where excellent. The tortillas were homemade and delicious. I highly recommend and will be returning. Also, the service was very good too.

I decided to try El Fogon based on the other two reviews for the restaurant. Everything they said was true! The food is great-real Mexican food, not some commercialized interpretation. There were some vegetarian options, which is always something important to me, but everything looked wonderful. The restaurant is not fancy-go there for the food, not the appearance! It seems like a great place to take a family for a delicious, inexpensive meal. The service was relaxed and friendly. I'll definitely go back.

After living in Texas for 15 years, I feel let down by the Mexican food options in NYC. I look forward to every OK family visit because we always come here at least once. Everything is authentic and you can't beat the Horchata! The restaurant owners are wonderful and will graciously explain anything on the menu to you. I highly recommend the spinach enchiladas. The best place to eat in Owasso, in my opinion.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
