This place has the best food. We moved from Oklahoma and was one of the first places we had to stop at, on our stay over. I have.never had a bad meal here. The chili relleno is a personal favorite. I highly recommend the bean dip and guacamole, both are fresh and tasty. The margaritas are great. All around great service. Festive atmosphere and customer friendly. You have got to give this place a chance.

Every time my husband and I drive by this place the parking lot is packed. Should be a good sign right?? Decided to try it out on a Wednesday night. Parking lot was full, and the restaurant looked busy, but they were able to seat us right away. Got a table by the windows - the back of the booths have different scenes carved into them which was a nice touch. The booth seats were different fabrics (mine was fish, which didn't seen to fit the Mexican theme of the restaurant but it was funny). Waiter was ok, he seemed bored. He kept goofing off with the other workers, but he was still attentive. It was just annoying to catch him out of the corner of my eye slapping someone on the back. Food came out fast! I ordered a combo that came with 2 enchiladas and a taco (choice of beef or chicken enchiladas with queso or red sauce, and a hard or soft chicken or beef taco). Lots of decisions. All of the combos come with different choices for basically the same price. I got the chicken enchiladas with queso (really good!) with the soft beef taco (really bad!). The beans and rice were meh. Not good but not gross, just meh. I did enjoy that we got our own carafe of salsa on the table. Overall not terrible but not super delicious. If we go back I will get like 4 chicken enchiladas with queso a la carte and be happy.

We love La Mansion. Great food & lots of it for the price. If we've ever gotten anything that wasn't good, they've made it right. I would highly recommend this restaurant!! We eat there about once a week. Great margaritas too!!

Very good food, came out nice and hot. Prices are very reasonable and service was very prompt. Atmosphere is casual. This place was recommended to me by several locals. It's definitely worth a visit. And the portions are very gererous so come hungry.

Service last night was horrible! The place was nearly empty and our server disappeared after he brought our food: never refilled drinks etc. We waited forever for our check and to go boxes. My husband was so irked we only left a 10% tip: we always leave 20%. They must have had a different cook last night, because the food was not good: beans and rice lacked any flavor or seasoning. Overall, meals are overpriced. I got a burrito and enchilada the size together as my hand and it cost $8.00 for just those two items. I don't think we will be back. Quality and service going downhill with prices going up: not good!

Worst Mexican food I've had in my life... and I live in Texas, what I thought was the capital of bad Mexican food. Host tried to sit us near bar where rowdy coworkers were slamming tequila shots. Food was inedible. We paid and left.

I ordered a chalupa and got some veggies and meat thrown on top of a hard tortilla shell. I can't complain too much because it was delicious, just not what I've known to be a chalupa. :-)

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
