Difficult to find if you are using Google map - it is on the other side of Scrambler Maries. Price point is good, got vegan wonton and a chinese/Korean dish. Was very good - perfect spicy level, quick and efficient. Sat at the bar but there are tables too. I am not sure what people are talking about the area, seemed pleasant to me. But I'm from Detroit so maybe my vision is skewed. Will be back, well worth the out of the way drive from Toledo to Detroit.

QQ is far and away one of the best Asian restaurants in Toledo. They have a fresh, authentic mix of Chinese and Korean dishes, as well as some Americanized dishes. My favorites include the Dragon Phoenix (sub lo mein for rice!), the udon curry, and the orange chicken and general tso's. I haven't really had a bad meal at QQ though, no matter what I've tried. The pot stickers are incredible, the lettuce wraps are great, the bacon Kim chi fried rice is insane (worth trying though I'm not a big fan) and the hot and sour soup is some of the best in town in my opinion. The only thing I consistently do not like at QQ is the spring roll. Tried several times and it's just not good. Soft and chewy instead of crisp and just a not appetizing texture. Otherwise, close your eyes and point to anything on the menu, chances are it'll be great. Bonus, since expanding wait times are much more reasonable for both fine in and carry out and the services always friendly. And they have beer now too! Great local business, fantastic food.

Omg, go for the Korean Chinese food. So, I really do not like Americanized Chinese food. Everything about it just makes me mad (haha). However, QQ Kitchen not only does Americanized Chinese food, it does Korean Chinese food! WHAT? In TOLEDO? On our usual trek to Michigan, we stopped in Toledo for dinner. Starving, we came across QQ kitchen, a small restaurant in a strip plaza. And we've been back ever since. The winners include: -Ganpoonggi- oh it's so crispy and so good. Usually, you would think it would be soggy, but no no, not at all....I think they use dark meat too, b/c it was so tender! - Stir fry udon chicken curry- weird, right? But it was good! The curry was really good too.... - Jajungmyun- solid. Utterly solid. (thumbs up) - Spicy squid- slightly spicy, but the squid was cooked well and the sauce was delish... Sure sure, they have your typical Americanized Chinese food of dynasty whatevers, or general whoever's chicken, but I would highly recommend getting the Korean Chinese food. We'll be back. :)

From the outside, the place looks sketchy. However, the inside is small but nice. The lettuce wraps are amazing. Well seasoned and fresh. The vegetarian dumplings are decent, the green wrapper is different. I ordered the Bi Bim Bop. It was truly delicious. Very fresh and flavorful. The staff is a younger crowd, but efficient. I will return for sure and bring my friends.

QQ kitchen has quickly become an absolute staple in the restaurant scene in Toledo. To put it simply, everything on the menu is good. My personal favorite asian food appetizer is crab rangoon, and here they do it well. You get 4 rangoon for 2.99, so I always get at least one order. My other go to here is the Peking Chicken. Incredible flavor of black pepper and garlic. If you find yourself looking for a great spot near UT...come to QQ's...you can thank me later.

I have yet to try a bad dish. This is the type of place I will try something I know I do not care for because it could change my mind. Bulgogi, Mongolian chicken, General tsao, sesame chicken: all dishes I've had that were amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. Open Monday through Friday, quick and friendly service, great food. 5 stars.

Straight up...Idk wtf I was doing with myself pre-QQ. The orange chicken straight up is the sickest ish of all time. The fried wontons...WTF. So sick! The portions are perfect and the prices are low. The pork bulgogi...delish...peking chicken...banging...now I'm craving it...5 STARS!!

I came here on Friday night to order take out. I was told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. So I decided that I would order it and then have it delivered, but wait it is a $20 minimum, and the food here is pretty cheap. So I order a ton of food to stock up for the weekend and I usually love left over chinese food so whatevs. I had a good conversation with the staff member who took my order about how I was staying in a hotel and needed plastic utensils, a plate, and various sauces all of which she asked if I needed. Well... yup you guessed it I never got any of that stuff. I ordered wonton soup - not amazing. General Tsao Chicken with brown rice - def not the best I ever had. Lettuce wraps - ehhh, and an egg roll - small, soggy, and no duck sauce or spicy mustard to accompany it. Oh and I had no utensils to eat them with had to go back downstairs and ask the hotel staff for some extra. I was disappointed especially because I had heard good things about this place.

Great family ran restaurant. Service is excellent & great fusion menu! Thought it was a Thai restaurant but they're Chinese with a few Korean & Thai items. Nonetheless it was fresh & quick.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Toledo. In my experience everyone that comes here finds something that is "their" dish at some point and sticks to it. Mine being the Kung Pao chicken. But there are many other great options, like the Dragon Phoenix, and the Orange and Peking chicken. Make sure to get an appetizer too, the egg rolls and crab rangoon are as good as any you'll try. If soup is your thing, the Egg Drop soup is the best I've ever had.

Everything I ordered came out fresh and hot...this isn't your typical Asian restaurant... Definitely a gem..don't be deterred from the area ...come here enjoy everything...

This last time, they won me over. I've never known anyone to add chicken to hot and sour and egg drop soup though. My husband is allergic to poultry meat and those are normally safe auto choices. Food this last time redeemed my last poor experience.

I order take out from QQ Kitchen all the time! They have the best food! They are always ready when I come in and extremely friendly. They have AWESOME spring rolls and wonder Lo Mein.

I was on a road trip and we stopped at QQ Kitchen for dinner. This is really an Asian Fusion restaurant cooking up Chinese, Thai, and Korean food. The restaurant is relatively small with a few tables. I had the hot and sour soup and the chicken pad thai. Both were flavorful and delicious. I was actually pretty surprise how good the food was. I was expecting okay quality food, but the food was better than okay. This is definitely a good spot for a casual lunch or dinner if you don't feel like cooking at home. It's in a strip mall, so parking is not an issue.

Staff was wonderful....food was good UNTIL I felt something hard in my cashew chicken...a staple was in my food. This was my first time at QQ Kitchen and will be my last...didn't even get close to finishing my food...

Best asian cuisine that Toledo has to offer! This is not your typical Chinese diner - the food is top notch.

  • Leigh S.

Yay for tasty takeout! The bibimbap was delicious and full of a wide variety of vegetables. They give you a side of gojuchang, so you get to decide exactly how spicy you want it. I will definitely be back.

Best Asian food in Toledo, hands down, no argument, no discussion. Gan Pan chicken is a religious experience. Kimchee is great but mild enough for the inexperienced. Chinese, Korean, and Thai aficionados will all be satisfied. The place is clean, the food is great and the staff is wonderful. Go there, get some, go home and spread the word! Tell Emily George sent you. Ps... They recently expanded into the space next door and there's a lot more seating.

We have been to QQ kitchen many times, and every time we go, I try something new. I have liked everything so far. It is very quick and friendly service. They make you feel right at home. The food is a very good value. It also has many healthy options. If you are in the mood for Asian food, give it a try.

Food was awesome, I have tried to find a new place to get lettuce wraps since elephant bar closed and I'm very pleased to say I found my new spot. Not to mention the Pad Thai is the best I have found in Toledo so far.

  • Kaleigh K.

Everything on the menu sounded delicious and everyone's food around us looked perfect and expertly crafted. I would try it all if I was into more spicy foods!

We are back in Toledo and had a chance to go to QQ Kitchen for another amazing meal. We had the pork bulgogi again but this time had the spicy seafood noodle soup, at the suggestion of our helpful waitress. Wow! The soup was delicious and complexly flavorful and the noodles in it were chewy and picked up the flavor perfectly. If you are near Toledo, don't miss this gem of a restaurant. We hear they are going to expand into the place next door and may be getting a license to serve wine and beer, so it's clear that people are discovering them as we did.

This is possibly the best Asian restaurant in Toledo. Came here on a random week night with the bf and it was busy. We had to wait 10 minutes for a table. The servers here are so friendly and not upset even though they're super busy. We shared the kimchi bacon fried rice, seafood noodle soup, and korean spicy squid. The squid was by far the best dish there. They are very spicy to my liking and they give you plenty of food here. Seafood noodle soup was a little disappointing. The seafood was not fresh and had a strange taste to it. The Kimchi bacon fried rice was just okay...I was expecting it to be as spicy as the squid dish, but it wasn't. It definitely was lacking some flavor. I wish they offer spicy korean rice cakes then my life would be complete! I'll definitely be back for more food, but I probably will call ahead to order take out, because seating is very limited here. Also the dishes are a bit expensive, but I did have lots of left over for lunch the next day. P.S. I've been back several times now and I highly recommend the jajung noodles and green beans with rice. This dish is executed perfectly and I kept going back for more. They don't skimmed you on the black bean sauce; you will get plenty to make a 2nd (or 3rd) delicious meal. The tofu and fermented egg is something I miss eating as an appetizer during the summer when I'm in Taiwan. Although the dish looks spicy, it isn't really but it's full of flavor.

  • Katie W.

This is probably one of the better Chinese restaurants in Toledo, and while it's got a couple of stand-out dishes, most of the menu is your pretty average Americanized Chinese fast food. The dishes I have tried and were excellent (in terms of authenticity and flavor) are: -Korean spicy squid (this is SPICY, don't get it if you're a wimp) -Pork Bulgogi -Wonton soup -Green beans Some dishes that were just okay: -Drunken noodles (they weren't bad, but tasted nothing like drunken noodles at a Thai restaurant) -Dragon Phoenix -Kung pao chicken (boring) The short version: if you're into authentic Asian food, go with one of the Korean dishes and you won't be disappointed!

I ate here on the last day of my stay in Toledo. And I was glad I picked this over El Vaquero that day. I was very pleased with the quantity and the quality.

  • Brianne G.

The only place my husband and I call for Chinese food! You will not be disappointed if you try the Kimchi bacon fried rice. Their egg rolls and dumplings are yummy too. Their building is quite small so we always order take out. They have very limited space for dine in.

  • Abbey R.

I am never disappointed when I go to QQ! The staff is really personable and it's very obvious to me that they care for each one of their customers that come in. The Peking Chicken is my absolute favorite, I highly recommend it. I'm so excited that they're expanding and I can't wait to try their pastries. Knock that wall down already!

This restaurant is made me a believer in true good food. Everything that me and my co-worker's got was amazing! Like, super freaking perfect. We ended up getting the spring rolls, crab rangoon, a curry dish, lettuce wraps, some general tsao's and some black bean noodles. Like everything was really fresh, the service was spot on, and all the workers seem like they enjoy their job. Food and quality of service I give 5 Stars for sure!

Another of the places I had put on my "must check out" list as I had done some investigation on where to find good noodles in Toledo. I have, so far, found some great Hong Kong Style Noodle Soup. Still looking for a great Pho and had heard good things about the Pad Thai here. A co-worker brought up going here for lunch a couple of days ago and said the pad Thai was great. So Q Q it was. First, I have to say I have had some awesome Pad Thai. I had a Thai lady that worked for me that made it with authentic ingredients she had at home that she brought back from Thailand. She even told me that the best fish sauce you can get in the US is Squid brand. Her Pad Thai rocked! That perfect Thai blend of Sweet, Salty and Sour that typically comes from the Sugar, Fish Sauce and Tamarind Paste. QQ, while a good noodle dish, was not what I expect from Pad Thai. It was more like a red lo mein. There was none of the layering and complexity of the trinity of flavors expected. I could not detect any fish sauce or tamarind. The dish was slightly sweet and a little spicy. It was too wet and had an almost bright red sauce. I don't know what the color came from. Red Pepper flakes should not result in that amount of leeched color. If it weren't for the peanuts, there would have been little salt flavor and the lime gave some sour undertone and acid. The problem was that the lime was SO dry. I had a quarter of a lime and maybe got a teaspoon of juice after squeezing the heck out of it. It was dry and pulpy. The good? it was a tasty dish. Not pad Thai tasty, but very good. Other dishes I saw being served looked very appealing. All were plated well and looked appetizing. I saw an awesome looking chicken and green bean stirfry I want to try. I'm just going to categorize this dish as a lo mein. And a good one at that. But it AIN'T Pad Thai. Still looking. But I will be back to Q Q Kitchen. Nice place and I think it has good food regardless of authenticity.

Very busy during peak dining hours and the restaurant is very small with only space for a few diners at a time. However, the food was great and well worth the wait. I had the sweet and sour chicken, and the chicken quality was higher than expected for a strip mall restaurant. My wife had the sesame chicken and it was superb. Great taste, great portion size, and delicious rice. This will be our go to for Chinese from now on.

    (4)
  • Doug F.

A nice variety of Asian foods, well-cooked and served by friendly staff. Try one of the beautiful hand made desserts. The only complaint stems from their success: the wait can be long.

Definitely the best place to get Chinese/Korean food in the Toledo area. The kimchee bacon fried rice is absolutely amazing and they just recently started serving bao (steamed buns) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They're a family run business so have slightly different hours, but trust me when I say the food is well worth it. Plus you won't find friendlier service anywhere.

I was in Toledo for my cousin's UT graduation. I asked her to recommend a local favorite that wasn't one of a million chain restaurants in the area. When she described QQ, and after I read the reviews here on Yelp!, I was very excited to check it out. I arrived with my mom here on a Saturday around noon. They were pretty busy as the place is small and fills up quickly. The server, although nice, made us feel a bit rushed to order. We got the egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, black bean noodle Ja-Jung (aka jjajangmyun or jjajangmyeon) and the Lettuce Wraps. The soups are a great deal. For $1.99 it's a rather generous portion. I loved my mom's egg drop soup. Lots of egg and perfect flavor. My hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour. It seemed like the egg drop soup with a little bit of flavoring added. I wish it was more spicy and more soup. If I wanted egg drop soup with flavor I would have ordered egg drop and added some Sriracha. The Ja Jung (black bean noodles) I ordered per my cousins recommendation and other Yelpers' reviews. I wanted to try an authentic dish that I can't find at every other Asian restaurant. I must say I was disappointed. It was rather flavorless. Maybe that's how it's supposed to taste, but I was not impressed. The people next to us got the Spicy Seafood noodle soup and it looked delicious. I wish I ordered that instead. My mom's lettuce wraps were good. Nothing special. Perhaps a bit on the sweet side. They reminded me of the ones at PF Chang's but less flavorful. If I was ever in the area again I would go back for the egg drop soup. I would like to try the spicy seafood noodle soup and the Kimchee Bacon fried rice as it was mentioned in many reviews and the pictures look so enticing. It is definitely better than your average Asian restaurant in that it offers more than your typical dishes. The ingredients are fresh. It's a cute little place that has clean bathrooms. However, based on my own experience I don't really see what all the hype is about.

Definitely a neighborhood gem! I order takeout one or two times a month from QQs, but now with there newly renovated dining room I've found myself wandering in for a drink and meal. The chili shrimp is to die for, especially if your into spicy food. The only thing that prevents them from getting a 5 star review is that they will not go the extra mile to make your food any way other than how it comes according to the menu. So no substitutions or up charges for a preferred side. They don't even let you request certain sauces with meals that don't come with them. Another issue is the long gaps when they are closed for sometimes weeks at a time, and they are not open on the weekends which is pretty disappointing. So as long as you stick with what they have to offer and do not try to ask for any changes to their "special" spins on traditional dishes, not to mention you have to catch them while they're open, Then you just may have one of the best Asian dining experiences Toledo has to offer!

  • Kevin K.

This is great little place in a strip mall, don't let that change your mind. Great egg rolls. Daily sushi was ham and egg, it was delicious. We got drunken noodles, chili shrimp, green beans with chicken, seafood noodles. All was very good. The server's recommendations were spot on, thanks. Portions were large. If we lived in Toledo, we would be regulars.

Moving from a little-koreatown in Virginia, I did not expect to find anything comparable in Toledo. QQ Kitchen comes very close. I have not yet tried any of the Americanized Chinese dishes, but one customer, who sat at the next table, ordered the Triple Delight and it looked plentiful and very delicious. I have yet to visit the place after they added the dining room, but this place is very busy during lunch time as 2 servers look to fill carry-out, dining, and bar orders barely missing a beat. Among the dishes I've tried: Jjangmyun (black bean noodles) - The sauce is a bit runnier and the noodles thinner than I'm used to but the taste is spot on. Jampong (spicy seafood noodle soup) - The soup appeared watery, but the taste is there with the right amount of kick. It may contain a tad more sesame oil than I'm used to, but I wouldn't hesitate ordering this on a freezing winter afternoon. Chicken curry Udon stir fry - All I remember about this dish was when I asked for hot sauce, the server gave me a choice of Tabasco or the special in-house prepared (I forgot by whom) chili sauce. I chose the latter and was not disappointed. If you do the same, make sure you order milk for your drink. Korean fried chicken - It's not the double fried or the pressure-fried I'm used to, but overall great flavor without the texture. Overall, this place is the best Asian Fusion restaurant I've had in town. Of the 3 places I've visited that offer Korean dishes, QQ Kitchen is the best in town.

I am a student at UT and was tired of settling for Magic Wok for lunch. A friend told me about QQ Kitchen so I decided to try it out. It was totally worth it. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. It was a delicious, very generously portioned meal. It was one of the top Chinese meals I have had. The staff is very friendly too. As of this day, I am never settling for Magic Wok again. QQ kitchen is totally worth the short drive down secor from campus.

Great Asian restaurant. Soups are delicious. The hot braised fish is addictive. It also spicy hence the word hot. A great addition to the Toledo food scene.

Awesome! Toledo really needed a place like this to get some great tasting affordable Asian cuisine. My wife and I really enjoy eating the Jompong(sp?) and jajangmyun - both Korean noodle dishes. Time to time we also get the lettuce wraps which is delicious to start. My wife particularly likes their steamed dumplings as well. I have tried their other dishes which have been also good. They cook standard Chinese food, but I'd recommend their other dishes as they are quite good that you can't get at any other Asian restaurant in Toledo. This is a must-go for those trying to experience Toledo food. Don't expect a fancy atmosphere or anything

  • Brian B.

This place was great! We were initially questioning the small space, but there were just a bunch of people in there trying get to-go orders. We sat down for dinner. The server was very nice and the food came out pretty quickly (there seemed to be a bunch of take out!) The portions were perfect, and we will definitely go back again and again to try new dishes.

This place is by far the best Chinese food I've ever tried. It's a small place but the food is tremendous. I've tried quite a few things from there and I have yet to be disappointed. The green beans are phenomenal! The fried rice is terrific, so is the chicken lo mein. The General Tzao dish is so delicious! Highly recommend! If you're in this area and are craving a little bit of Asian food! Definitely stop by here. It's owned and operated by a family. They are really friendly! The hours are a little weird but nonetheless I'm glad I've had the opportunity to have eaten here. I'm from Dallas, Tx and I'm here on a business trip and I kept hearing great reviews about this place and I figured I'd try it. Haven't had good Chinese like this in Dallas.

Friendly people, great food. Gets pretty busy though and they're not open on Sat or Sun. I always get chicken curry and recommend their lettuce wraps for appetizer too!

Love this place. It was my first exposure to Korean food and they did not disappoint. The kimichi fried rice is a must but I've yet to regret something I've ordered from them. Can get really busy and there isnt much of a place to wait for a seat because the restaurant is small. The best thing to do is get carry out.

A wonderful family owned establishment. Fresh made cuisine and affordable prices. Food never sits and is made to order! Staff is accommodating and will answer all questions. I highly recommend the Jom pong, Hunan chicken and drunken chicken! One of the best Toledo has to offer!

Great value for a delicious meal. My wife and I shared two Korean dishes, bi bem bop and chop chae and both were great. Food was ready for pick up in 15 minutes which is a plus. With few good options in the area, I am really happy I found this place. Looking forward to trying more dishes.

What a great take out place! (They do have a limited area for dine-in as well.) They have Chinese, Thai, Korean and Chinese-Korean food (like jjajjangmyun and Jjampong). We ate there and it was kinda small and a bit hot on the day that we went but the people working there were super nice. We tried a little bit of everything- the Orange Chicken, Pad Thai, Kimchi Bacon Fried Rice, and Jjajjangmyun. The Orange chicken was just ok. The chicken had a little too much breading and the sauce seemed to have too much soy sauce so seemed more salty than anything. The jjajjangmyun was decent. It's not the best that I've had but it's not bad. The Pad Thai was pretty delish! I would definitely order it from there again. And the Kimchi Bacon Fried Rice was pretty good! Very tasty! I also went there again for take out. The jjampong was pretty good as well. And the prices are pretty reasonable. I can't wait to go there again to try different dishes and to also try the Korean patbingsoo. Since they just opened, they didn't have the machine up and running yet, so I'll have to stop by later to try it.

Always great good and fantastic service! One of the best places to eat in Toledo. Sometimes the wait can be long, but it is worth it. Everything thing I have tried is amazing. Highly recommended!

I've been here 3 times in the last 10 days. It is perfectly placed on my way home for me to stop and get a to go order. The Korean style spicy squid is excellent with an amazing sauce. I found the Jom Pong warming and delicious on a cold day but there seemed to be a very small amount of seafood in it which was a bit disappointing. The Chilli shrimp was an unexpected favorite. It is fried shrimp smothered with a sweet spicy sauce and some sort of crunchy vegetable. I usually find fried foods like this far to heavy but the sauce and the vegetables seemed to balance this out and I truly enjoyed it. The Pad Thai I tried with tofu instead of chicken and unfortunately it seemed a little lackluster, however I did pick it up as a to go order just after they had closed so they might have been off their game a bit.

What an awesome place! Honestly best Chinese food I've had in Toledo! I had the Kung poa and vegetable pot stickers they were amazing, awesome portion size (lots of left overs) and great flavor! Just the right amount of spice and not all those extraneous veggies like baby corn I don't care for too much. puts all the other places in Toledo to shame. It was simple fresh food. My new Chinese place is QQ. I will be recommending it HIGHLY!! Check it out!!!

Great food. The folks that work there are pretty great, though sometimes QQ gets super busy. I'm patient, but I know that annoys others.

The phone is ALWAYS busy! I've tried calling to order dinner on three separate occasions, several tries each time. Always a busy signal. Figure out a phone system that works. If you don't want to do carry-out, don't do carry-out. But don't just take the phone off the jack every time you get busy.

I really really want to love this place. But I've been here twice and the food is... How can I put it... Meh? The girls that work here are super nice, always smiling and happy, so welcoming! The place is cute, the menu has a nice variety of Asian cuisine. But the food. The food is just not up to par. Coming from a City that has authentic everything, I can't help but always come to the conclusion that the food is bland. Here is the breakdown of what we've had so far. Hot and sour soup: exactly what is it. Hot. Sour. No other flavor. Missing so many more ingredients. But it's edible. Pad Thai: noodles are always undercooked. The sauce is bland. It's lacking that certain Thai umph. And the chicken was overlooked. BBQ chicken wings: they were crispy, cooked very well. But the overall taste was salty wings. Bulgogi beef: loved it. But by the second bite it was way too salty. Meat was tender and tasty though. Chili shrimp: again, exactly what it is. Chili and shrimp. No other flavor. Tempura shrimp: you can't go wrong with that. Dumplings: meh. Nothing special. I think it's a bit too expensive for what they have to offer. I might still go back though, just because they're so nice there.

Visiting Univ of Toledo from Cincinnati. Wanted some Thai food. QQ Kitchen is Pretty good. Had the pad thai noodles. I like the sauce that it's cooked with. I had told the waitress to bring me sweet and sour sauce because a lot of places make it and it needs sauce to me. Didn't need it. The staff was really nice. Nice place to eat.

Definitely a take out establishment! We had shrimp love mein and roast pork with pea pods. Flavor was delicious and staff extremely friendly!

  • Cassie W.

Pad Thai was pretty good--not the worst I've had but not the best either. I also got a side of hot and sour soup, again, it was pretty mediocre. There serving sizes are pretty generous. Dining area is very small and can get crowded pretty easily.

  • Bethany J.

QQ has good quality and I liked the fact that they make their noodles, and I really wish I liked the food more. I was really looking forward to trying the curry when I found out they it on their menu. it was good-but most curries I have had or made has more of a gravy base. I also tried the orange chicken, which was also not bad. My favorite thing from there is the Taro smoothie, I would go there just to get one of those. I would still go to QQ, but I wouldn't list it as my favorite. However, next time I do go I will call ahead instead of waiting in the crowded restaurant.

QQ has basically made all other Asian restaurants irrelevant for me. I haven't been to another since first going to QQ, and I don't see any reason to go to one of them again as the food at QQ is simply so much better than any other Asian restaurant I've ever been to. The food here may as well be a different cuisine as it is so radically different than the normal fare. When the wife doesn't feed me dinner and leaves me to fend for myself, instead of going to one of three or four places like I used to, I now just come here. The place is small, only I think four tables, plus four seats at a counter. Though eating at the counter is nice as you get to watch how they cook all these wonderful things, and I do find it interesting. Instead of settling in on just one or two things to get from a restaurant as I normally do, I've tried something different every time but one (7 or 8 visits total). My current favorites though are the sweet and sour chicken and an appetizer of pan fried dumplings.

Does feel like a takeout place but if you are lucky enough to grab a table then get ready to embrace the great smell coming from the kitchen. Small cosy location with dynamic staff. Too many customers bragging about how far they drove to eat here... Spare me the contest. The menu has about 50 great options to choose from and way too much for a single visit. Kimchi fried rice with an egg is a must try. Will come back for the Korean food next time. No chopsticks for a white guy... Shameful ; )

All of the food tastes the same, meaning way too salty. I did not enjoy this place at all, and I really wanted to.

Used to order regularly until one day they changed their delivery from 5 miles to 3 miles and I only live 3.2 miles away. Very disappointed that they could not make the exception for the 0.2 of a mile for a regular, but all I got was a rude employee that hung up on me after the GPS said 3.2. They do not value their customers. About the food: Hit and miss with quality, it seems to be good one day and bad the next. For the price, I expect consistency.

The BEST and CLEANEST Asian restaurant in town! Thank you QQ!

This place is a gem in Toledo. Food is amazing and the staff is friendly. Definitely try the hot and sour soup. It's to die for.

Doesn't get better than this for fast service, excellent food, and at a reasonable price. The look of the place is very unassuming: the dining area is very small, cramped even. Be prepared to wait at a high volume time, as I don't think this restaurant could reasonably seat more than about 20 people. Very casual atmosphere; reminded me of a diner . Food is prepared adjacent to the dining tables; you can watch the cooks preparing your food. The food is very reasonably priced, and I was astonished by the food quality--our party had almond boneless chicken, tofu pad Thai, and fried rice. The portions were large, and food was excellent! Very fresh. Every dish prepared and walked by us looked as good as the last. This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise!

A tiny nearly hidden gem. The owner is the chef. And he is half Korean and half Chinese. Which makes his cuisine a perfect fusion. I really did not want to write a good review since this is now our favorite place. And there's only four tables and four seats at the counter. And it's only going to get more crowded. Try the Bulgogi. Don't ask. Just order it. Everything is excellent. Great service. It's one giant wok in the hands of a master.

This is the best Chinese restaurant I've been to in Toledo. I highly recommend this to anyone whose in the mood for this type of food. I got the Pad Thai dish my first time here, and that was delicious. Another great option from here is the sesame chicken, I really enjoyed that as well. For how busy they are, it's worth the time you have to wait.

Best Korean food I've ever had. Just seeing their name makes me crave the Pork Bulgogi. I've never had anything here that's less than incredible.

Hands down, honestly the best asian cuisine I have ever had in a long long time. I haven't really been satisfied with the asian restaurant in town, but now that a friend told me about this place, I absolutely love it. Food tastes very fresh and not drowning in sauce. I started with the summer roll and it was very tasty. Especially with the peanut sauce. For dinner I had the Dragon Phoenix which had a nice spicy kick to it. But the best part of my visit was drinking the mango smoothie. OMG SO SO GOOD. I literally think about it all the time. Check this place out! It's fabulous! You won't regret it!

This place was packed on a Wednesday night...love it! Coming from a big city, I expect to wait in lines for good food, and expect restaurants to be open late. I liked how this place was open late, and people didn't stop coming until 10pm. Yay Toledo! Now about the food. It was great! I had the Bibimbap which was excellent and my friend had the bacon kimchi fried rice, which was also great! I will definitely check this place out again!

After reading Dustin's review of QQ, I finally decided to bite the bullet and find out what all the hype was about. A coworker and I ordered the following: Miso Soup Wonton Soup Crab Rangoon Spring Rolls Mapo Tofu Curry Shrimp The soups were wonderful. Apparently every Chinese restaurant I've ever been to has been making their Wonton wrong, because this was the absolute best I have ever had. The chicken stock was obviously home made. Whereas my past experiences with Wonton could be described as bobbing for dumplings followed by a broth chugging contest, each and every bite of this soup exploded with flavor. The Miso, never a favorite of mine, was also very good. The crab rangoon was a step above the rest and slightly spicy. Not as mind-blowing as the Wonton soup but obviously not dropped off by a GFS truck a week ago. The same could be said of the spring rolls. I specified on the phone that I liked spicy food when ordering the Mapo Tofu, and the heat level was spot-on. I would compare it to a spicy chicken vindaloo from the Star of India. The curry shrimp was equally awesome. I think I may try it with chicken or beef next time. Or not. This is the kind of place where I can see myself ordering one thing and then getting stuck on it and never trying anything else. We ordered our food for delivery. It took about 30 minutes to get downtown. Although it looked like the driver sat on my carryout box (probably to keep the awesomeness from escaping), everything was perfect. It was so hot we thought he cooked it in the car on the way here. They also deliver t-shirts. Scored one for $10.00. I think the cost of our meal was around $35.00 or so, excluding the shirt, and the portions were very generous. Can't wait to order from this place again.

What a great addition to the Toledo area. Authentic, uncomplicated hot meals. The Korean part of the menu is definitely my favorite. If you want authentic, stick to that part of the menu and go crazy and get something you can't imagine you'd ever try. I think this tiny restaurant is going to surprise and satisfy you. If you're looking for the fake heavy breaded deep fried asian food that seems to be so prevalant in this town, veer away. Definitely this is some fresh fare that skips on the general heavy sauces but sticks to really good seasoning and making sure the meat is cooked just right and not over tenderized. Try the Pork Bulgogi. It's like some silky almost curry texture light sauce with succulent pork pieces, onion, and scallion. Definitely spicy and not for the faint of heart when it comes to heat. I have to say they have some of the best soups as well. The wonton is not your ordinary clear broth and dumplings but comes with a little bit of this and that in it as well which bumps up the preparation to the next level. One of the best hot & sour soups I've ever had here as well. Very small dining room, but still comfortable enough if you don't mind the wait, and you should make an effort to understand this place has in the last couple months skyrocketed into popularity. Service can be a little shaky but I'm not too worried as they are new and when they make a mistake take ownership of the mistake. The staff is nice and will know your name after a few times getting take out or eating in...Also, if you're in the vicinity they will get you the HOTTEST arrival of delivery ever. They really do take time to prep the food to keep it warm. So steer toward the Korean if you want to really motivate your taste buds. The Bi Bim Bap here is amazing, the Tong Soo Yo will blow your mind, the Ja Jung will make you tap dance. Also, one time my friend and I were dining in and a table of little kindergartners came to eat and started singing together and it was precious. My lucky day.

This is purely base on the Pad Thai. I ordered take out and the food was ready on time. The staff is very friendly. The crab rangoons were delicious and the Pad Thai was average. It lacked flavor and the noodles were dry. It was by no means bad but I've had better. I want to go back to try other dishes. The portions were huge for the price!

I had the best drunkin noodles there. If you like spice you'll live this place. I would like to have eaten inside but all times where very busy and waiting for food to go made my eyes water lol I think they were cooking something spicy.

This is my 3rd trip to QQ Kitchen and it is quickly becoming my favorite local Chinese spot. Everything tastes fresh, balanced, and simply good. It's only getting docked a star because they sometimes take the phone off the hook when they are too busy...sad thing is I still drove over to carry out! It's also better in the restaurant than carry-out.

The place is a bit crammed but the food here is really good. I do wish they had better advertising outside for it but I guess that's why they call it a hidden gem. I got the Dragon Phoenix w/ Chicken and Beef and the Wonton Soup. The wonton was very good and you the dragon phoenix was not to my liking but hey; that's Chinese food. Not everyone likes the same thing. Its a great place to eat because its cheap tasty food that comes in large portions. I would give it 4 stars overall.

We've gone to QQ now a couple or more times a week for a couple of weeks. What a great addition to the scene in Toledo! QQ Kitchen is a lovely, family-owned restaurant hidden away in one of the strip malls along Secor. It's convenient to Old Orchard and UT, and they deliver. The food is prepared to order with skill. We really like the stir fried green beans, drunken noodles, fried dumplings, pork fried rice and, honestly, anything else they've recommended and we've tried. Prices are reasonable and portions large. We usually get one entree and an order of dumplings. This more than satisfies for dinner. Give them a shot, if you haven't. If you have, give them another try and see what they recommend. Very nice place!

The best Asian food resturant in Toledo. They have some Korean food, chiese food and thai food. Everytime I been there, they were always busy. The meals are too much to finish them all, and they are all good.

Freshest and tastiest take-out food I have had in a long time! My husband and I ordered Hunan-Chicken...... so delicious! The staff was very nice and friendly! My only problem: I wish it was EVEN closer to my house :) We will definitely go back!

Came here for the first time today and my family really liked it. We ordered shrimp tempera, crab rangoon, General Tsao, Mongolian beef and Happy Family (chicken and shrimp). Everything was very good. The chicken and beef were very tender. We arrived a little after 1 p.m and it was pretty busy but we didn't have to wait long for a table. I liked how the kitchen was open so you could see them cooking when you walked in. The only thing I didn't like was how close the tables were to one another but I guess that can't really be helped because of the size of the place. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying new dishes!

It saddens me to write this review because I had high hopes for this place. Most items on the menu sounded tasty. I actually had a hard time choosing from all the enticing options! I ended up ordering the kimchee fried rice with bacon. It tasted nothing like how kimchee fried rice should taste. My boyfriend ordered bulgogi with rice. It tasted nothing like how bulgogi should taste. See a theme here? FYI, the beef used in the bulgogi dish was the typical chinese takeout strips/chunks. Portion sizes are on the smaller side for the price.

Best Chinese restaurant you can eat in Toledo OH. One of the place you don't ever have to worry about getting food poisoning or horrible taste of food. Recently they expanded to have more seats for customers to dine in and enjoy their meals right away. Staffs are friendly, food doesn't take too long, Open kitchen which shows you that you can trust this place to eat. Decor is pretty simple here. Not too much seasoned compare to other places which is plus in my opinion. I come here every week and get my lunch. I highly recommend you to try Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup (Jom Pong), Black Bean Noodle (Ja jang), and Tong Soo Yo. Taste and Portion of these dishes are guaranteed. I'm sure you won't regret to try it here. They also have daily specials lately so ask a staff for what's the special dish of that day. Oh and one last thing they do the delivery as well so if you want to eat nice Chinese cuisine and wants to get delivered to your house or to your workplace, call here and order what you want to eat.

Excellent food and great service. It's a small place, so not great for a large group unless to get the place to yourself. Honestly nothing bad about this place at all. Highly recommend it.

Really one of the best dinners we've ever had. It's a small place so either get there early or just do takeout, but however you enjoy it, this food can't be beat! Very large and varied menu with Chinese, Korean, and some Thai dishes. Everything we ordered was excellent. We highly recommend and will return next time we're in Toledo.

All the positive reviews are right, go here. Go soon and enjoy it's deliciousness. Most importantly, the pan-fried noodles are so good! It's a smaller place for a sit down meal. It's more suited for take-out.

"A-OK (yelp's words for 3 star restaurants). They have great unique items (to this area, Toledo). Some friends and I did family style and got the Kim chi Fried rice with bacon, a good chicken item, dumplings and chicken pad thai. The service was great and they were really nice to us. Food also came out very quickly.

QQ Kitchen is a godsend. The restaurant has a plethora of delicious options. You can order anything from traditional Chinese fare like sesame chicken to Korean dishes like bulgogi. They even have pork katsu. I don't really have anything negative to say about QQ. The only thing holding this restaurant back from a 5 star review is its size! I understand that they intended it to be a take out restaurant but I think an expansion is in order. The place is almost always packed and it can get pretty hot in there. Make sure to check out their specials too. They have this cold roasted chicken that is like nothing else in Toledo. Gan Pan boneless chicken is so so good and if you ask nicely they will even make you Gan Pan shrimp! Also, unlimited kimchi.

This restaurant is a gem in Toledo. When you walk in, it may not appear much to look at -- 4 tables, a crowded 'bar' area. The food, however, is some of the yummiest pan Asian cuisine I've had anywhere.

Ordered a meal for 2. The first meal came out in about a half an hour. Being curtious we waited for the second order to come out to start eating. Well, ten minutes later the fried rice came out....except it wasn't fried rice. They got the order wrong. They said they'd fix it but we didn't want to wait another half an hour. The other dish would've been cold by then as well. Not a good experience!! Won't be back.

Very good General Tso Chicken. The staff seems friendly and the noise inside isn't too bad. The portion sizes are usually generous and the drinks are cheap. I find this a good place to com sit and do something on a laptop or tablet as you can get on the WiFi of the Nail Salon next door.

Tried this place out for the first time today. Unexpectedly, the waitress seemed to understand what gluten was. I ordered chicken pad thai with no soy sauce. The portion was pretty generous. I took my leftovers home and tested them with an ELISA kit, and the result is... "high positive" for gluten. I probably should have known better, but if restaurants are incapable of serving folks with celiac or food allergies without making them sick, they should just say so instead of pretending otherwise.

Cool new place! I got a huge plate of ma po tofu for $8.95. Tea was a little weak, but everything else was great.

Just had my first meal there tonight. This will be a new "go-to" for me for sure! Had the Ma Po Tofu - it was phenomenal (if you don't like spicy, you will not like this!)...the summer rolls are great, and I really can't wait to try more things on the menu. I am happy they deliver too :)

I love QQ Kitchen. I always get the Pad Thai. My hubby gets the Chicken Fried Rice. My 2-1/2 year old loves the plain noodles with brown gravy. It's a great place to go because I get my Thai, my husband gets Chinese and my daughter can get something too! I wish it was bigger inside, so we could stay and eat. It's always packed and people are waiting to sit at a table. It's more of a take out type of place. The staff is always friendly. I recommend it all the time!

The food is delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The staff was very friendly and the prices are great. Would recommend this establishment to anyone who enjoys a great meal! I only wish I lived closer to enjoy the food more often.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
