Excellent at a great price. I recommend the 5 Star Chicken over the General Tso's. The 5 Star is Magic Wok's own recipe similar to General Tso's, but unique, less sweet and more zing. It's slightly spicy. I've not had anything like it anywhere else and can't quite put my finger on what makes it so unique. Bonus you can order any dish with brown rice (a slight up charge, but healthier alternative). The Pad Thai is great too, but I order mine dry which is more true to the original thai recipe. Mongolian Beef- great. Egg Rolls- Unmatched! (be sure to get the FRESH sweet and sour sauce. NOT the tubes!) Crab Rangoon- Excellent. 3 for $1! Only thing constructive I could say is I wish they had a changing station in the bathroom, but the bathroom (men's) was roomy and clean.

I tried this place for the first time. I don't think i will ever return. Never had such bad chinese food. If you can call it chinese food. It tasted worse then Balance and i thought that place was bad. Magic wok food reminds me of Lean Cuisine or some kind of Frozen Chinese food you buy at the grocery store.

I love my szechuan chicken! My food was hot and tasty. Love the fact that I can ask to make my extra spicy...whoo! My kids love their Sweet and Sour Chicken Kids meals which made it easy for me for dinner time. My husband like the new familly pack egg rolls! yum!

I have been getting Magic Wok food for years and have never had a bad meal or bad service. In fact it is probably the best chinese food I have ever had and that includes PF Changs. Plus it is a third the price. Highly recommend, get an egg roll to eat in the car on the way home, they are awesome.

In one word, I can sum up Magic Wok: YUCK. Think worse incarnation of Mark Pi's and you get Magic Wok. It doesn't matter what dish you get, because they will all be bland and colorless. They will all taste -- more or less -- the same too. This chain started in Toledo and has been in business ever since 1983, which automatically leads me to ask how this is even remotely possible. Drive-thru window to meet the needs of lethargic folks.

You know what? Magic Wok cures all ails. There I was, recovering from a terrible sinus infection, thinking all my blood was going to turn to mucus and I was going to just die, right there on the spot. I started taking powerful antibiotics that made me super-nauseated....but only one thing knocked me back to normalcy. That one thing was Magic Wok's rice and gravy. I don't know how it happened, but as soon as I ate that, I did not feel like I was dying anymore. I was restored. That said.....this is the ultimate comfort food Chinese in the area. No, it's not the authentic adventure you may have been craving, but it is what your alcohol-addled system is craving. Magic Wok is a savior among the sick, the hungover, the bored, the "in the mood". It's a damn fine local business and the family behind it is super-sweet. Don't guffaw at visiting the drive-thru. Just effing do it. You KNOW you want to.

Hands down, the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I should have listened to the little voice that said no, but we were in a hurry and my husband had good memories of eating it as a kid, so here we came. The General Tso's Chicken was like a bunch of small, breaded, deep-fried chicken nuggets slopped with sauce. The rice was served with an ice cream scoop and resembled mashed potatoes. The rangoons were so-so, but not good enough to make up for the rumbling that began in my stomach about twenty minutes after eating. If you're going to have low-budget Chinese food, at least go somewhere run by actual Chinese people. Don't go here unless you're keen on indigestion. Oh! And I forgot to add: worst fortune cookie fortunes ever. I opened up the fortune cookie and it was a mini ad for Magic Wok. As if!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
