We were so excited when Cellar 59 FINALLY opened just 3 blocks from our house! Even better, we can walk there! We were pleasantly surprised to see their great selection of craft beers (including out favorite Left Hand Milk Stout! Yum!). I did try a sweeter wine as recommended by the waitress, and I don't recall being disappointed. We haven't tried any of the food options, but we did think the cheese and meat tray was a bit pricey. I suppose we'll have to try it first before deciding if it's worth the price. Overall, though, if you live in the area, definitely worth a visit! 1/31/14: Just made another visit last night and it was definitely a step in the right direction! I had the sampler flight and really enjoyed trying new wines! The prices seemed to be a bit more reasonable (could be because we recently returned from South Beach where everything was supper pricey...), and everything was really good.

visited Cellar 59 on Saturday night. hardly busy. sat at the bar. the house renovation is gorgeous! Good environment for a quite, intimate dinner. I ordered pizza; nothing fancy or exciting. This place is best for wine & appetizers not dinner. only 2 beers on draft, selection of 20 by bottle.

Nice location, very pretty facility, I've been 3 times now. Once in fall and sat on the deck for ladies night, once just a friend and I inside, and last with a group of friends for a bday. Each time we had nice service. The wines are average, I do appreciate they offer a flight. The food is tasty although a little pricey, if sharing then the cheese plate works well. Good atmosphere, there was a guy singing with a guitar on a Saturday we were there.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this great place. It is lovely to have a place with the choice to either stop in for a quick bite and glass of wine or to settle in for the evening and listen to local, live music on the weekends. We just had my daughters wedding shower there on Sunday and they could not have been more accommodating or taken better care of us. The food was delicious especially the pizzas and the wine was affordable and delicious. I love supporting local businesses, especially when they get it right!!! You won't be sorry you have them a chance. Say hi to Monica and Carrie....

Great place to go with friends and relax after a long day. Impressive selection of wines, amazing and friendly servers, and the ambiance and patio are unbeatable! Tuesdays are retail wine night, no corking fee on bottles, and the charcuterie and cheese plates go great with the wine.

A nice intimate, quiet, cozy place that would be perfect for a date or to grab drinks before dinner. The house itself is absolutely stunning; I love the way its decorated ! You can't go wrong with the plank roof on the ceiling of the wrap around porch or the original wood work you'll see throughout the place. I'll admit, it's a little pricey ($11.00 for a glass of their Jam Butter Chardonnay) but they offer 1/2 a glass of wine on Weds nights for "Ladies Night" and Thurs night is" Sangria night" :) Our waitress was adorable and super friendly. They also offer small plates but this would not be ideal if you're looking for an actual meal- although the proportions were large. I had their hummus & pita chips as well as their charcuterie & cheese plate- both a great selection. Although there was one downside to my visit (not the wineries fault!), 2 couples sat at the table next to me & let me tell you- this woman's perfume was so strong you could taste it! It gave me an instant headache- you know the kind where the fumes burn the hair in your nostrils & makes your eyes water with regret. Had her nauseating fumes not been choking the air out of my lungs, I would've written a WTF note instead of contemplating using the menu as a fan... the sad part is, I was sitting outside! Otherwise, I will definitely be returning - Chinese fan in purse & wtf slips @ reach - cheers!

Great place to go try out a new wine or craft beer. Absolutely love the retail pricing and only a $10 dine-in to drink at this beautifully renovated farm house with a gorgeous wrap around porch. No one in the area can match that deal.

The care and hard work the owners put into the building, food and selection of wine and craft beers really shows. The inside is a spacious, cozy area. But if the weather is nice, the expansive patio makes for a great seating area as well. Live music is a great addition. Will definitely return.

For being in Stow, I give them lots of credit. The area desperately needs something with some sophistication beyond El Campesino or Parasson's (haha). Great wine list, nice small plates and great use of old space.

Nice place great selection. Service is a little slow I think they are still figuring it out. One BIG no-no....this place does not have wi-fi! Are you kidding me? Sorry no 5 stars with no wi-fi for a place like this.

My husband and I stopped here on a Friday afternoon. The service was good and we really enjoyed sitting on the deck. The inside is beautifully done. However, there was a very limited selection of wine by the glass. And the limited menu of food items that they had was significantly overpriced. We most likely won't be going back. Too bad, since we were really looking forward to Wine bar close to home.

As far as wineries in the area are concerned, this is not that great. My friends and I decided to try Cellar 59 when it first opened and we were disappointed in not only the prices, but also the wine itself. They have quite a large selection, but none of it is made on-site. It was like going to a grocery store, picking out a wine, and spending a lot of money for them to open it for you. The food pricing was also outrageous. I believe it was $9 or $10 for a small and simple tomato and mozzarella salad. Their desserts were also in the $8-10 range. I had called ahead to ask if you were allowed to bring your own food, and was quickly told "No". The acoustics inside made it difficult to hear conversation that was happening at your own table. The parking situation was also a mess. I literally got boxed in and could not leave when I wanted to. Luckily, my friends took me in their car and we went to another location until I could retrieve my car. The pros would include friendly staff and the house is nice looking inside and out. Unfortunately, I think that this place will not last long once the initial newness wears off. There are much better and cheaper wineries around (Red Horse and Wolf Creek are two of my favorites).
