I tried this pizza hoping for a winner, disappointed yet again. They just don't know how to make pizza in Ohio I guess. Being from Chicago, I have a taste for good pizza. Now I will have to have Lou Malnati's shipped in on occasion in order to have a tasty pizza in this tasteless region of the world.

We visited Guido's on a sunny Saturday afternoon and sat outside and it was great! We ordered a large antipasto salad with Cesar dressing and a medium pizza. The dressing was really good and kinda unique. As my husband stated, "it's brown!" I think it was made with Worcestershire sauce and that made it brown, we all liked it despite the color. The large salad was enough for two adults and two toddlers to have a nice side salad serving. The pizza was also pretty good, I have not yet had *AWESOME* pizza in NEO (we are from IL and had Suburban Chicago pizza and even central IL). So all in all ti was really quite good. As for service, our waitress took a few minutes to get to us, but once she did she was very nice. Another waitress refilled my iced tea and our waitress noticed (from inside) that i didn't have more than a few ice cubes left, she brought out a glass full of ice for me! So thoughtful!! (extra tip!) Also of note, while we were sitting there at 2pm on a Saturday, a steady stream of take out customers came and went with piles of food, nearly all with a loaf of their really nice Italian loaves of bread. We shall return the next time we are in Ravenna!

Arrived around 11am and the place was almost full. Had the mini breakfast which came with 2 eggs, home fries and wheat toast. The price was $4.99 and diet soda (20 oz bottle) is $1.68. The eggs were satisfactory and the toast exceptional. The home fries tasted like they were sitting under a heat lamp all morning. Value was ok.

A wonderful Italian eatery in downtown Akron. The food is excellent and when the weather is nice enjoy the experience in the outdoor patio.

We were coming home from philly, we drove 10 hours, and stopped in ohio, to eat and to sleep before day 2 back to chicago. So it was about 8pm at night, and we were starving, we got off the highway, and drove around looking for a place to eat, there wasn't much to choose from, except fast food places, but we wanted a restraunt. We saw guido's as we were driving by, and turned around and decided to stop there and give it a try. We walked in, and they said it would be about a 15 minute wait, which was hard because we haven't eaten all day and were starving, but we waited. We were seated within 15 minutes, and had our waitress right away and bread and our drinks came to the table right away. I ordered a 1/2 pound cheeseburger and my dad ordered a philly cheese steak. The burger was pretty good, and kept me full all night, I was so full could barely drink anything for the rest of the night, and my dad said his was pretty good as well. I saw other tables with pizza and that looked pretty good too, considering it is a pizza place! Great prices too! My dad and I ate dinner there, and a diet coke for 17 bucks! Never eaten in Ohio before, but it was a good experience. Also when we were walking back to our car the waitress ran after me and yelled that I had left my phone on the table, I thanked her so much because it is a expensive phone (blackberry) and My dad tried to give her money, but she wouldn't accept. Very friendly service, and very friendly people!

Cute little italian eatery in Ravenna, Ohio and a local favorite, and definitely better than the average pizza shop. Their catering is also very, very good.

Guido's has excellent food, fresh, piping hot, and ready for your mouth. The restaurant itself is very clean and cozy and the staff are wonderful and nice people; afterall, this is a small town of Ravenna. And since I'm just visiting here for two weeks and considering coming from a big city like los angeles, this close knit friendly community seems so television and alien, not to say it's a bad thing. The pizza here is good. I ordered a small with pineapples and bacon. And a two piece dark meat chicken snack which comes with mojos battered in the same medium as their fried chicken which were really good. The batter recipe tastes identically to the Pizza Man in los angeles on south alvarado. I felt almost at home. My entire experience overall herewas highly satisfatory. If you're coming through, stop by. But if you're from way out of town, don't make plans revolving around coming to eat here.

Guido's has to be among the better restaurants I've been to. They have a rather large menu, very good, respectable staff, and of course very appetizing menu. It did take some time to get our order but the food is never the less amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Ravenna/Streetsboro area.

This is a small family owned restaurant. Food is always fresh and great. Great family food for an average price.

I don't understand some of these bad reviews. Maybe I'm biased bc I'm a Ravenna native. I think Guido's has awesome pizza and chicken. I recommend a white pizza with tomatoes, sausage and banana peppers. Every time I eat one I think to myself "this is my favorite meal". If you don't like sausage or banana peppers, at least get tomatoes, its a nice change from typical red sauce. In all fairness I don't usually dine-in so I don't know about service.

Great local pizza joint, and oh so much more. The tomato based sauce for their pizza has just a little bit of zip unlike the chain pizza places. They also do a great job with their fried chicken, and lasagna. The only drawback is lousy parking, and since this place is always packed, even picking up a pie to go can be quite a challenge, but with it!

The only thing I like about Guido's is their fried chicken and jojo's.

Great service, delivered to work area pizza was hot and the way I asked for it, good sauce but price was a little high.

We ordered a pizza with meat and veggies. The crust was crunchy, the cheese was hot and gooey, and the onions and peppers were all chopped and diced on top of the cheese which hides the meat topping under it. Flavor was good, and I'd probably return again, to try other dishes. Service was ok, they were not super responsive with the bill, and not once did they check if we needed anything, didn't bring water refills etc. After the bill did arrive we sat for another 10 minutes or more before they picked it back up.

I ordered the lasagna a while back. Actually it was a very small portion for the price. I decided to order a pizza from them since Id never tried it. My mistake might have been trying to specifically order a "crispy thin crust." They must have been pissed about my specifications, because it was the limpest most undercooked pizza I have ever seen. Impossible to even pick up a piece without it wilting over. I actually returned it, and they replaced it with another one. The replacement was still limp, and all the cheese on it was very burnt. Even aside from the crust problem, the sauce is bland, and it's the most expensive pizza place in Ravenna. They were also pretty rude when I went back to get the replacement. My bad. Shouldn't have been so picky I guess. Never going back.

I love this place for a good quick Italian meal. The portions are huge. Literally I usually get the half order of lasagna and leave feeling stuffed. The bread they bring out is delicious and always hot. It is a cute little local place in downtown Ravenna. Only drawback is that the inside is on the smaller side and fills up fast on most nights. Which I guess is testament to the quality of food and value. Yeah the prices are seriously cheap. Two people can eat and be stuffed for 20 bucks with a generous tip. It's priced like Carter is still in he White House.
