I finally had a chance to stop and pick up a latte from Saxby's! I was happy to see they have a drive thru, made it much more convenient to stop on my way to work! I liked all the choices for drinks they offer. The prices are on par with other shops around this area. Next time I want to stop in and see what the inside looks like! I tried the Snickerdoole iced latte and it was a little too sweet for me. Looking forward to trying another flavor soon!

This is a 3 star coffee shop. I'm giving 4 stars because of the location. Montgomery desperately needed a coffee shop. There's a Starbucks in Blue Ash about 1.5 miles away, but there's a lot of lights between here and there, so it's pretty inconvenient. Other than that, there aren't any coffee shops in the area. Saxby's fills a major void in the community, and so it's worthy of 4 stars just for being open. The cafe itself is nice. It's well decorated and quite spacious, with lots of seating. My favorite part is the "secret room" towards the back. There's TV, couch, and some more tables, and it's a bit quieter since it's secluded from the front where all the drinks are being made. Definitely a good place to read/work/study/talk. The coffee is average. I'd put it on par with Starbucks, maybe a bit better depending on what you order. The barista making my cappuccino seemed more knowledgeable that your average Starbucks barista, and they actually knew how to make my girlfriend's honey latte--which is just a latte with honey instead of flavored syrup, and some Starbucks do not know how to make it. My cappuccino was pretty good, and I think the area it lacks was in the beans themselves, not the preparation. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, so I'm definitely picky when it comes to the quality of the coffee. I prefer pour-over black coffee, or non-flavored espresso drinks where you can really taste the espresso. Saxby's is not bad at all, it's just average coffee (again, I consider Starbucks to be average). If you're looking for highly flavored drinks where the coffee itself isn't the main flavor, then you may find Saxby's to be far above average. Overall, the reason I give Saxby's 4 stars, and the reason I will certainly go again, is the location. Saxby's is great simply because it exists in an area with no good coffee. You're going to have to drive at least 15 minutes if you want to go to a really good coffee shop, making Saxby's the obvious choice if you are in the area and want some coffee. Compared to it's competitors in the area, Saxby's is fantastic. Compared to great coffee shops in general, Saxby's is just alright.

I don't want to give a bad rating because I didn't actually had the coffee. Actually there hours aren't right. Was there at 830pm on a Friday night and door was locked. So I would recommend changing the hours on here.

Higher end coffee shop. Plenty of seating. Clean. Friendly. Wifi. TVs. I always prefer local spots over chains.

A great addition to downtown Montgomery! This little shop has great coffee. The baristas are knowledgeable and it has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The room in the back is very cozy and is great for quiet conversation. All in all, a most inviting place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.

A beautifully designed coffee house. I love the feel and ambience of this restaurant. Don't miss the fireplace and home feel of the back room. Perfect place to work if you're a road warrior like me. Coffee is perfect. Sweet, rich and balanced. I had a triple breve latte, and it was made to perfection. Came back again today and had the same experience. Great internet speed, too. Oatmeal is absolutely the best....actual fresh berry choices, as well as nuts and other fruit. Montgomery now has the best coffeehouse in Cincinnati.

I grew up in this area, and a good coffee shop has been a long awaited treat. We ordered the caprice sandwich, a tuna salad sandwich on a croissant and an iced coffee. All were well made, but a bit overpriced. They also have fresh baked goods that looked quite tastes. The shop itself is great. Good location and nice setup inside. I really enjoyed their old fashioned furniture in the greeting area...which happens to be for sale! The front end of the store is well lit with high tables and chairs, perfect for a small gathering over coffee. I was there studying, but there were a few groups that came and went. Seems to be a hot spot for book club meetings, or meetings of any sort really. The back end of the store is cozy and has a "secret room" with more tables and a sofa and TV by the fireplace. The service was mediocre. Not terribly friendly but not bad either. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

So much better than Starbucks! Coffee is delicious. Nice outdoor patio and cute inside to sit and drink coffee by the fireplace.

My first visit ended with a bit of a disappointment, and today my second visit was consistent. Staff wasn't terribly friendly, tables were left dirty, and coffee was fair. Location is still good, but don't come with high expectations.

A drive-thru coffee house in Montgomery? With good coffee? Im in. You really can't beat the drive-thru option when you have kids in the car or just don't feel like parking and getting out- although the lot has plenty of parking if you choose to go inside. Definitely recommend trying this place, I just did the drive-thru and got a white chocolate mocha, but I got to peek inside as I was sitting there and it looks cool inside. Their menu looked good too. I will go again!

This is my second time at saxbys and I am so excited about it! My biggest complaints about cincinnati are the lack of good coffee shops and good used bookstores. This definitely helps with the first one because it has everything I am wanting in my coffee shops. It has off street free parking, it has long hours, a decent amount of both food and drink options, and most importantly to me enough space that I don't feel guilty sitting at a table for a while working or eating. I am hoping they decided to open more around the city.

I have had espresso three times which was great each time. On the other hand the soy latte was not great on the only occasion i had it. A cookie was great too. Great location, convenient to Montgomery and Indian Hill with plenty of parking. Ambience is nice, with big, open front seating area with lots of windows and then in the back another cozy area with fireplace and TV. Very clean. Friendly staff. Wireless with plenty of outlets. Overall great; it has become a regular stop for me.
