On the road, and in need of some grub, we stopped in and were told: "ten minutes! It'll be quick." Cool! That's doable. We needed fuel for our 7 hour drive back to Buffalo, NY. Well, ten minutes turned into 25 minutes. Then once we were seated, we were given a magician as our waitress, because she magically kept disappearing. We figured eggs would be quick though, and ordered the very first time she came to the table. Well, we were once again sorely mistaken. I've been to other sit-down breakfast places, and they usually get those eggs out really quick. I don't know, I didn't think it was overly busy in there, but maybe there was an issue in the kitchen? The food was pretty good. Other people at the table who ordered potatoes said they came out a bit raw, but my thinly sliced hash browns were crispy and fully cooked. I would 100% recommend the country sausage and biscuit breakfast off the cheap "under $10" menu. It was $6 for a biscuit topped with a scrambled egg, sausage, shredded cheese, and then smothered in sausage gravy. On the side was a large portion of the hash browns. Perfect size for me, and for a great price. Their orange juice tastes like how you would expect the Simply Orange juice on those dramatic commercials to taste (an orange picked from a tree in a sunny meadow, and then immediately juiced, put in a cup, and given to you through the freezer section of your local grocery store). Good stuff. Okay, that's it. The food is decent, service sub-par, but if you need a speedy breakfast on the road, then this is your place.

If I could give negative stars it would be done. The waitress Renee was horrible in personality, hospitality, and especially in service. After over an hour waiting for food and several trips of my own to counter to get plates for rolls, rolls and refills....we went to manager. 1 hour and 15 minutes later our food arrived. Cold!! Not a little cold, out of the frig cold. The waitress spilt soda, bean soup on table. Did not clean it up. Once the manager took over the service did not improve much. To shorten this review up a bit (I could go on) 1 hour 45 minutes later we received the bill!!!! Can you believe it? They actually brought a bill. We are paying it now. They did adjust the bill at counter after complaining.

I travel yhis way twice a month to see my sister and we always do breakfast here. The food is always amazing and the customer service is always on point.

Food was very good and the price was quite reasonable. My primary complaint was the service speed. It was busy on a Friday at lunch, but it did not seem that there were enough servers for the crowd. After sitting down, it took over an hour to order, receive our food, and get the check. That was a little lengthy for lunch time.

When the manager is walking the floor to check on diners, it's either a great sign (things are peaceful!) or a bad sign (uh oh, what damage control is going on here). In our case, it was total damage control. The manager was quite personable, doing laps and checking in on meals. Our server was busting her butt, too. But she did miss a few things (forgot my drink order twice and had to re-ask). This was not enough to be a two-star-review problem. The problem was the kitchen. Something was not right back there. Servers were backed up, waiting for the kitchen to produce sub-par food. My salad had to be remade, and it took 20 minutes longer than my partner's breakfast. I encouraged him to go on eating because cold eggs and pancakes are pretty bad. His food was great, but mine...well. Besides taking 20 minutes and having to be remade at least once, my salad was chock-full of egg shells. Yum. I didn't have enough confidence in the kitchen to send it back for a second (third?) remake so I got some extra calcium with my salad. Crunch, crunch, yuck. The manager was on the ball with talking to people (because a number of other tables were having issues), but shouldn't things be flying along so the manager doesn't have to run around apologizing? I'm glad the manager was proactive in dealing with problems, but I wish the problems weren't there in the first place. I might try this location again, but a Saturday night shouldn't be a total cluster like this. OH! OH! We had to ask for an adjustment on the bill after all. It was not offered, but when we asked, our bill was adjusted a bit. Accessibility notes: no Braille menu or signage. Well-lit dining room. Can get loud at peak hours. Doors open out.

this Bob Evans is the worst I've ever been too. the service was disappointing and the food was as we'll!. will not be returning. it has left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I don't want to go to any other Bob Evans restaurant.

I could only wish that Bob Evans had local units. The closest one to me is hundreds of miles away, so whenever possible, if we plan a trip, we see if we can fit in a stop at one of their storefronts. Bob Evans, is, food wise, what Cracker Barrel should try to be. And, they, unlike Cracker Barrel are assured enough of their product, that they are not reluctant to publish the nutritional information. Never have I ever gotten a bad meal at Bob Evans. Recommended. Drive past Cracker Barrel to a Bob Evans. @Removeyourhat

It's a Bob Evans so you know going in what you will be getting. It is right across the street from the outlet mall and it gives you a bit more variety to eat than the fast food joints on the other side of the road. Frankly, I prefer BE's breakfast fare to their dinner or lunch although some salads passing by looked pretty decent. I had a seafood platter that consisted of fried fish and shrimp and it was very crunchy - more crunch than fish - and the rolls were just bland puffs of brown air. The cole slaw was pretty darn good and their chicken noodle soup wasn't too bad. If ever in this neck of the wood would I eat here again? Maybe, but only breakfast fare or maybe one of those big chef salads.

This Bob Evans is in a prime location in Jeffersonville where the 35 meets I-71, which leads to Cincinnati. There is a very popular outlet shopping mall nearby (Prime Outlets) as well as several food options including Waffle House and Popeyes. Because of the outlet mall and the people making a pit spot before the drive to Cincinnati, this restaurant seems to always be busy. This Bob Evans is pretty big and features many tables as well as a counter for quick service. They have a little pseudo-general-store at the front that sells candy as well as souvenirs, toys and many Bob Evans products (salad dressing, BBQ sauce, pancake mix, etc.). As I have stated in a previous review, Bob Evans serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, but they are most known for breakfast, which is served all day. Bob Evans' breakfast menu features a lot of variety and it is pretty reasonably priced. Their breakfast options include waffles, pancakes, french toast, crepes, grits, oatmeal, omelets, breakfast skillets, breakfast burritos, ham, bacon, etc. Bob Evans is a sausage farm so their signature dishes include their sausage patties, sausage links and sausage gravy with biscuits. I had their Western omelet, which came with diced smoked ham, onions, green peppers, red peppers, and cheddar cheese. The omelet was average. The ingredients were not finely chopped; therefore, the chunks of peppers were way too big. While the omelet was not overcooked, I prefer an omelet that is less browned so that the outside of the omelet is evenly cooked and not dry (Joan's On Third in Los Angeles does a pretty good omelet; they cook the outside perfectly). For omelets, I also prefer American cheese to cheddar cheese. American cheese melts better in an omelet and provides a nice creaminess to the inside of the omelet. The omelet was served with home fries. I find that home fries and breakfast potatoes are often undercooked. The inside of the potato is not that tender while the outside is not crisp. I also find homes fries/breakfast potatoes to be bland more often than not. That was the case here as the home fries were slightly undercooked and bland. The omelet did come with two good buttermilk biscuits--nice and warm with a crunchy browned top. I added a cup of their signature sausage gravy. The sausage gravy was very savory and creamy. As I have stated in other Bob Evans reviews, a lot of breakfast specialty places serve that sawmill white gravy with biscuits and it is too bland. Other places' sausage gravy dishes are too oily and greasy. Bob Evans avoids both of those problems. The sausage gravy was good (creamy and flavorful) and this dish is pretty consistently good (no matter what Bob Evans you visit). Service was quick and attentive. The waitress was friendly. Prices were good. Waffle House is nearby, but I prefer Bob Evans to Waffle House when it comes to breakfast. Even though the omelet was not that good, their very good sausage gravy and biscuits made up for it. While some of their breakfast dishes are misses, Bob Evans is worth at least one visit if you have never tried them. The parking lot is very big and free.

This is your standard Bob Evans but with worse service. If it's 2pm in the afternoon and you aren't busy, you'd think you would have a better turn around time of drink refills and general "is everything alright?" No much thing as service with a smile here. They did offer us several baskets of rolls and biscuits when our order did not go through their machine and ages had past before anyone noticed. Okay, only 12 minutes (this is the standard food wait time at Bob Evans, fyi for next time!) but when you are hungry it seems longer! Food-wise, I prefer Bob's over Cracker Barrel in the taste department and because they do have some "healthier" options. I enjoyed the modern and updated decor and table seating arrangement here. Very conveniently located from the outlet mall.

OK I'm pretty sure this in Jeffersonville and not Milledgeville but who am I to say? It's located off the interstate between columbus and cincinatti, across the street from the outlet mall that we couldn't be bothered to check out. (flea market's more like). Anyway, I was prepared to laugh up my sleeve at this place, but in all honesty I can say that they offered a dining experience on a comic par with your average denny's. Sure, our waitress called us "hun" and the sign out front promoted their "Cinnamon Cream Pancakes"(this is a breakfast item, people) but the menu also had "healthy choices" and my two eggs/link sausage/home fries combo wasn't particularly unhealthy or enormous. The patrons were on the heavy side, but not grotesquely so. On the whole I would likely take another meal at Bob Evans if the choices were between that and a waffle house.

It's Bob Evans.. What can I say? You know what you are getting when you go in. Joanne was a great waitress and very attentive to our needs. We needed to get fueled up for a long day of cycling and that's what they delivered. Brioche French toast was worth the calories.
