Way back in the day, when I was but a wee bacon bit, my mom worked at White City--when it was located on the corner of US 20 and County Road 11-2 and was a repurposed diner car. You know, like the ones for trains? Any way, that location burned down and it reopened in a different building down the road. Now that we have that trip down memory lane disclosed, on to the review. My dad is a regular here, and every time I'm back in Ohio we make it a goal to eat here at least once. The food is typical Midwestern grub, said with all sincerity. Because, I grew up eating this way and it makes me happy. The other customers are pleasant (we've had people come up and join our table in more than one occasion), the service is usually great and the food reminds me of times gone by. However, I must say that this past Sunday when Mom and Dad took me here, there was something lacking. Our server was flightly and Mom's and my over easy eggs were over hard: how do you expect us to sop of the yolk with our toast? Better luck next time.

I can't lie, as an Asian woman, I was a bit scared to go eat at an establishment called White City, lol. However, my boyfriend's aunt who grew up in this town said it was the best breakfast around. There was quite a long wait (about 15-20 min) for a pretty simple breakfast (eggs, meat, home fries, and toast). However, the breakfast was very good. Good quality ingredients and fresh. Wait staff was nice and their prices are very cheap. Would consider coming back when we are visiting family in town again.
