Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Pizza Crossing is as small-town joint as you can get. You know that it's got to be good when most of the buildings on your way there are shuttered and empty. We came here around 7PM and the place was still packed and we barely found a place to sit. The only quirk I had about this place was that it had no lemon wedges for the god awful tasting water (I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to water, and I'm still not used to Ohio tap/softened well water). They did have lemon juice packets though, so ho hum no big deal. My fiance and I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza. I LOVE the way they slice the pizza. They slice the pizza into little strips which makes it so much convenient and makes you full faster--no overeating! The place is very reasonably priced, and our server was quick and friendly despite the rush. There's also an array of informational brochures about hocking hills near the entrance, so if you're not familiar with the area, you definitely want to stop by here. tl;dr good cheap pizza with legit portion sizes. Yum.

Ordered from here on a recent trip to Hocking Hills and it was delish! Right downtown Logan and they deliver. The pizza and breadsticks we ordered were not only ready very quickly but they were fantastic. We ordered from here based on recommendations from the locals and we were not disappointed!

Great pizza and quick take out service. We picked up 2 pizzas for lunch after kayaking and only had to wait 10 minutes. They offer gluten free crust which was a big bonus. Definitely worth the stop instead of ordering from a chain restaurant.

My favorite pizza on planet earth. I grew up eating this pizza every other week. It is still as good as the first time I had it. Try the pepperoni and onion!!

When I walked in, this LOOKS LIKE the place where you would get a really small side salad with your meal with one crouton. You know the salad, it has one pale colored tomato slice and comes with only Catalina dressing on the side. LOOKS can be deceiving. We had pizza naturally. It was better than 70% of the pizza in columbus. We also had wings which were not breaded and a little squishy, but the taste was ok. The server we had was nice, but was too preoccupied with smoking and disappearing for 15 minutes at a time to keep up with drinks and cash us out. I would go back here. THE ONLY complaint i have is when you pick up a piece of pizza and some of the toppings fall off every time. HATE it...really. This pizza did that a little. Splurge on a little more cheese to hold it together or something, but I wouldn't be so bold as to complain about it on the internet or anything....so I won't.

Our night started with our server coming over and saying, "What are you drinking?" in quite possibly the rudest voice I've ever heard. She was less than friendly, but the food was awesome and she was at least quick with the service. The pizza was great. My boyfriend and I had a medium pepperoni pizza and we had leftovers. We both started with a house salad, which had a bit too much cheese for our liking (it was like a big handful on a small salad) but it was a good way to start the meal. Our glasses of wine were just $3.50 each so I'm a fan. I'd be back for sure.

The pizza here is pretty great. I've had the pepperoni, supreme, and the Meat Supreme speciality and all were quite delicious. There is nothing flashy about the pizza here, there isn't some superficial quirk that sets it apart from other place, it's just a simple crust with a tasty sauce and a ton of toppings. I'm somewhat ashamed to admit I actually haven't tried Bob's Pizza here in Logan yet, so I can't compare the two, but why anyone would choose to eat at the big chain restaurants over this is beyond me. However, I do have some bad news. The non-pizza items I have tried haven't been the greatest. I've had the subs 3 times, and twice they were overbaked and incredibly hard. The cheese sticks are also nothing to get excited about. They are incredibly plain pieces of bread, totally lacking in seasoning or flavor, with a super thin layer of tasteless cheese in the middle that you can barely taste at all. The sauce also isn't right, though that might be a matter of opinion. They give you a thick, hearty, slightly-pungent marinara sauce, which I love with breaded and fried chunks of mozzarella, but because these are mostly sticks of bread I think a thinner, sweeter sauce would serve better. As they are, I can't say I would recommend them. Don't let that discourage you from the pizza though, it's pretty good stuff. I've also heard good things about the pasta, although I haven't tried any of it yet.

Recommended fave from the check in girl at Getaway Cabins. We really loved the pizza! They use big pieces of toppings. We had the gluten free crust deluxe and we were not bloated afterwards. The only knock is not a single craft beer in the house. The Killians draft was as funky as you can get.

  • Vu N.

The pizza was great but the server how ever wasn't the music sucked and was random and their server acted as if they were the sh*t and do what ever they want and I don't know who kept trying to sing but it was painful to the ear the place was dirty and stinky when you first walked in you're not sure weather you pick a table or wait for someone the table was dirty and the carpet stinks but when it came to the food it was delicious water refills good luck! ill definitely have to do take out if I ever decide to come back

Ordered takeout while staying in the Hills. Got a meat supreme pizza and tortellini with meat sauce. I'll start with the pizza: decent at best. Crust was chewy, like you had to tug to take a bite. I read someone describe it like a cracker; I'd say a chewy cracker. It's not a crunchy crust. Tasted better cold the morning after, when I just ripped off the toppings (would give their meat toppings a higher rating than the crust. Oy.) Tortellini: I'd recommend getting it with the Alfredo sauce, because the meat sauce just didn't "go." But this is the only pizza place we saw, so I can understand if locals view it more favorably than me, as I come from an area where there's pizza joints on every corner.

Pizza is very subjective and there are as many opinions as to what makes a great pizza as there are pizza eaters. That said, I think Pizza Crossing makes a fantastic "mid-western" pizza. The crust is thin and crispy and it is cut into squares, not slices. This is NOT gourmet pizza, it's just a really great no bells and whistles pizza.

Having had a really crappy meal in Logan our first night staying nearby, we thought we'd play it safe and go for pizza. Pizza Crossing is completely mediocre. The cracker crust is a little flavorless and cardboard-y, and they really scrimp on their toppings. We ordered pepperoni, bacon and onion, and you could hardly see or taste the last two. Our server was nice enough, but once she'd brought us the pizza, we never saw her again. There was also a lot of trash on the floor that the numerous servers just walked past and ignored. We left with out bellies full, but I can't recommend it to anyone that enjoys even semi-decent pizza.
