Pros: Great atmosphere, great barbecue food and fine selection of beer. Cons : Wait time , iffy service. We went to millstone for a sunday dinner during a camp trip to hocking hills... party of six. The wait time was about 50 minutes, probably because it was a holiday weekend. We were immediately served corn muffins and they were really addictive. Had to consciously stop eating to save room. The service was a bit poor, we were unwittingly ignored by our server and were left waiting for refills for almost 15 minutes after which I couldn't take it and politely requested someone for service. The food, when it came was pretty amazing. I got a half rack of ribs with the spicy bbq sauce, their description of the meat slipping off the bone is accurate. The other folk in the party we're similarly impressed. Would recommend, just for the honestly gratifying food.

Millstone BBQ is a staple in the Hocking Hills area. The southern, almost "biker" atmosphere is great after a wild day of adventures in the state park. The wait staff is always pleasant and capable of handling large groups efficiently. There were no errors in my group of six. The food is also excellent. The sweet corn muffins brought out as a free appetizer are to die for! In the menu, they state they bring out three muffins per person and another dozen is $2, and a half dozen is $1. It's not that much money, but I believe the staff should be upfront about it. My group did not have any problems, but I could see how this could be an issue where the bread is free at most other restaurants. This time I ordered the BBQ pulled chicken sandwich and a sweet potato with butter and cinnamon sugar. The sandwich was good, but I was surprised to find it was dark meat. I much prefer white meat, and that's what I was expecting since the menu didn't state it. The sweet potato was delicious, but you have to butter and add the cinnamon sugar yourself which took some time. I didn't mind too much, but I can see where others may be frustrated. On the table are other BBQ sauces which are each great! It allows the diner to switch up his or her meal. Overall, I definitely suggest the Millstone BBQ if you're in the area and want a relaxing dinner of southern comfort food.

If bacon-wrapped burnt ends sounds like something you might enjoy, then this is place needs to be on your list! While that appetizer was good, the smoked wings with a good dry rub stole the show. Stopped here for lunch on a Wednesday, but was pleased to see a long lineup of live music for the next couple of months. More than a handful of taps, there seemed to be a lot of signs for Yuengling. The pulled pork was good, albeit a touch dry, but the sausage casing's snap and juicy interior. Two tomato-based sauces on the table, regular and hot, complimented the meat. My mac 'n cheese was run of the mill and the baked beans were not quite to my liking, but I don't worry about sides too much. The cornbread mini-muffins were sweet and tasty. Millstone isn't the best bbq place I've ever visited, but for a small town in central Ohio I was certainly impressed, especially with the sausage and wings. Certainly not a hole-in-the-wall, the menu has a bit more of chain feeling. Plenty of seating and high ceilings.

I visited this establishment for the first time. It is about an hour from where I live, but trust me... it was well worth the drive. The cornbread muffins were so good, I couldn't stop eating them. I ordered the baby back ribs which were delicious, the smoked turkey was very good, the baked beans were the bomb. I didn't care too much for the mac and cheese, it taste like the boxed velveeta mac and cheese (with extra cheese sauce), I wouldn't order the mac and cheese again. I haven't had any bbq this good in a very long time so I definitely will be back.

Menu items rate as adequate up to quite good. You get 3 mini corn muffins per person automatically, as other places would give you bread. IT IS SO GOOD. I was starving and they were tasty and lovely. If you want pulled pork but also sides, bypass the sandwich option and go for the entree. You get one baked beans automatically and one other of your choice; but you can substitute the baked beans. I got mashed potatoes (tasty) and mac and cheese (eh). The pulled pork was pretty good. Only sauces, sadly, were spicy and sweet. Only 2 sauces? Boo. The spicy was too hot and the sweet was a bit too sweet (but I preferred it). Service was pretty good but beware - we had to wait minutes. They don't do reservations and its in a tourist spot, so weekend nights are a nightmare. And they don't even have wifi to help you kill time :/

Nice rack. 1/2 rack that is. Absolutely delicious. Great place to stop after a day in lovely Logan. Spicy barbecue sauce perfect.

We were staying overnight at a cabin in Hocking Hills and decided to sample some local cuisine for lunch. Considering we were in the middle of nowhere there weren't a whole lot to choose from so we thought we'd try a place that had a buffet as we weren't interested in eating at a chain place. When we entered we notice that it was a pretty spacious and it also offered seating in and outside. I also noticed they had bands that played there frequently and they had a bike night. We opted to eat in and were seated in a spacious booth. It took our server about ten minutes to acknowledge us which was suspect because it wasn't busy yet. We ordered our drinks then asked her what was popular and what was freshly made. She seemed to know but to be sure I consulted my handy yelp app to see what people were saying. After reading the reviews my husband and I ordered the lunch brisket sandwich. I got mine with French fries and he ordered the potato salad that is made in house. While we were waiting they delivered little mini corn muffins and butter. I thought they weren't too bad and I'm glad we had them as it seemed like it took awhile for us to get our food. Once it arrived we were happy with our choice of brisket as they cook it for 18 hours low and slow and I really liked it as I paired it with the sweet and tangy bbq sauce which I thought was pretty decent. My French fries were the usual run of the mill frozen steak fries so nothing to write home about. My hubby enjoyed his potato salad but I like mine more mustard than mayo so it fell short in my opinion. I'd stop here again if I was in the mood for que but the reason I'm dinging them is the sub par service. Sorry Crystal but there's a thing called customer service and you need to go back and figure that out asap.

Seriously, this place is just not good. Baked beans taste like ketchup, pulled pork platter was bone dry meat slapped on a plate. Seriously dry... like thanksgiving turkey cooked uncovered for an hour too long breast side up dry. The wifes pulled pork sandwitch had a sauce on it that was so scorched it tasted horrible. One star for the little corn muffins, but if you think this place is at all good, you need to get out more. Uuuhhhhhh those bake beans are gross!

Following a hike at Hope Lake, we were famished and BBQ sounded deeelightful. So we headed up to Millstone where we were greeted and quickly ushered to a booth. The dinning room is decorated in a industrial rustic fashion which was nice, but I was most impressed by how clean this space and the bathroom were. I even paused to admire the old doors refashioned into stalls. Our server was sweet and took good care of us, her last customers before closing. My only note would be that no staff member requested the table of high schoolers (I am not the best at gleaning ages) throwing crayon boxes and wrappers to grow-up before those things bounced closer to other diners. As for the food, the complimentary corn muffins were warm and oh so delicious. And my entrée, the smothered chop steak with chosen sides of mashed potatoes and salad, was also delicious. I particularly liked the gravy and sweet onions as so many other places seem to find onions without flavor or they cook it out. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's pulled pork sandwich was ont the cold side, but he was too hungry to request another. Not a big fan of BBQ sauces myself, I took his opinion that the two sauces offered on the table were fairly good. Meanwhile both portions were of good size and we were happily stuffed. Would return.

The only thing I loved about Logan, OH. We traveled here to visit the ever so touristy hocking hills, and this was by far my favorite part lol. Considering it was overcrowded for a reason! The food was amazing and my boyfriend and I ordered an appetizer each, with two entrees and the total was a whopping $50. UNREAL. My Sirloin was amazing, along with our appetizers.

Good was really good and service was friendly. We sampled a lot from the menu and everyone enjoyed their meal. Pulled pork was good, baked beans were delicious, BBQ chicken melt was a hit, BBQ chicken Alfredo was way better than we could have imagined. Smoked wings went over well too. All in all, this was a great little restaurant.

Got to Millstone about 1:30 pm.......they said it would be a 15-20 minute wait. This place had some decent reviews - I was spending the day hiking Hocking Hills with the family, so a little wait and rest time: no problem! The wait ended up being about 30 minutes....we really weren't sweating it. The service, once we got to our table, was pretty awful. Kids ordered some soda - the ole man ordered a beer and I had a Millstone tea. Kids got their drinks - we got our appetizer - no drinks. We had to flag the waitress down; we finally got the drinks with our meal. After this, the waitress overcompensated - it was awkward. She kissed my son on the head, made jokes and was awful touchy feely. The food was OK. Chicken Melt, Big Bad Wolf, Brisket Dinner and the Piglet Sandwich were our dinner picks. I was really wanting a rib plate with greens but alas, they had no greens on their menu. They did; however, have sweet potato fries....AND they were really good sweet tater fries!

I've been driving past this place on my way to and from Athens for a long time, and I'm glad I finally stopped to try it. The place was packed, but the staff here are real pros and we had fantastic service. Their beer selection was great, with regional treats from Columbus and Athens, and it went along with some very fine barbecue. I especially enjoyed the brisket and ribs, but my favorite might have been the baked sweet potato, which was well charred outside and creamy and delicious inside. It's a good find.

We stopped here on a recent trip to Hocking hills and found a pleasant and yummy lunch spot. It isn't by far the best BBQ or most authentic style but was tasty and reasonably priced. We both got sandwiches... Mine chicken and my boyfriend had brisket. The chicken was smokey and tender...very large portion...a side of coleslaw was a nice addition. His sandwich was good, as he inhaled it in about 3 minutes... Lol..he had fries for a side..they were the standard steak fries..tasted average. As a starter they give you corn bread muffins, which are very tasty and not a bit dry I would have liked to try more but it was lunch and we left the next day...it had a huge outdoor seating area and was fun for a quick stop passing by...def give a try if you like some well priced BBQ with good sized portions!

Great food and service. I visited on a Sunday evening with my boyfriend and his girls. It was packed! I had the pulled pork with french fries and salad. We started off with the jalapeno poppers and ended our dinner with the Andes mint pie. Yummy!! This was the second time I have been here and it will become a go to place for me...love the atmosphere, location, service and food. Great place in the hills!!

We've been here a number of times (we live close by) and we've had some great meals and some awful meals. Very little is consistent here- except for the corn bread muffins! The staff isn't always the friendliest either, but we keep going back because it's decent and close.

One of the best meals I've had in years! Corn muffins are excellent. Pulled pork, baked beans and mashed potatoes were also! They had a decent band outside and service was great.

This place reminds me of Famous Daves BBQ chain....but better. The cornbread muffins are very tasty, sweet, and complimentary. My husband had the chopped steak with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. I ordered the chicken tenders with fries. All of it was really good, and the ranch was fantastic; homemade, just like the butter that goes with the little cornbread muffins.

Delicious! A bit pricey but big portions and wonderful food! Service was a bit slow however the place was packed... even on a Wednesday! We come every trip to the Logan/Hocking Hills area!

My review was based on beef brisket, ribs, and their cornbread. All were amazing. Sweet butter for the cornbreads were a good touch. Brisket was tender and smoky. Ribs were great too.

We were here about a year ago and we've been craving the bacon wrapped burnt ends ever since. Awesome awesome appetizer!

  • John W.

The cornbread is awesome! Comes out hot and with a great whipped butter. The Big Bad Wolf sandwich is also great, good size and a filling beef brisket. I still threw some of their table sauces on which hit the spot... I've been here 2 times now and both times left happy. The parking lot stays mostly full yet they seat you right away and the service is good and the food comes in a reasonable time. We'll be back again!!

One of Logan's better places to eat... Beware of the corn muffins. You can't eat just one! The Big Pig Nachos are great too!

We stopped in for a quick bite today, and we were not disappointed. They actually had a breakfast buffet, which I had. It was excellent! It was absolutely better than most buffets I've had. There was your usual breakfast fare (sausage, eggs, bacon) plus made to order omelettes and pancakes. Priced at $8.99, this was a great value too! Jen ordered off the menu, and her food came lightning fast (couldn't have been more than 5 minutes). We were in and out of the Millstone in under an hour, which is perfect because we were on our way to Hocking Hills.

Good food and wonderful waitress but hostess staff very unfriendly and rude! Put our family of 5 at a very small table. Overall great experience but they need more experience at seating

Corn bread and bake beans where good. The brisket had a foul smell and taste. I'll be back for that corn bread though.

Absolutely delicious! Hubby had pulled pork and I had a ribeye. Both were much better than expected. The decor was perfect and the place was very clean. All the wait staff were walking around with smiles. You don't see that often. I for sure recommend it and we'll be back!

We stopped here on a Saturday evening and the place was packed, but we didn't have to wait long for a table. The decor is very pleasant, though the restaurant is somewhat loud. Our waitress was efficient and nice. The food was good. I had the meat sampler which included BBQ ribs, chicken, sausage, and brisket. For my sides, I had the baked beans, which were too sweet for me, and onion rings which were pretty good. The meat was all good with the exception of the brisket which was outstanding (and I'm not really a brisket guy.) There are two sauces on the table, mild and hot & sweet. I preferred the more spicy sauce, but that is just a personal preference. I probably would have given three stars if not for the very tender, very flavorful brisket. It is not in the upper tier of BBQ I've had, but I'd certainly go back and I'd recommend it to others.

We have seen this place from the highway for years and finally had the opportunity to stop and eat. Should have done it sooner. The ribs were outstanding even if a bit on the cool side. The sauce flavor was very well balanced and did not overwhelm the meat. There was plenty of meat on the rib bones as well. The side of baked beans was also very good with the beans not being mushy. It being a holiday weekend I will give them a pass on the slow service. However our waitress was extremely attentive when she was able to get around to us. Good place to eat.

We were out on a quest for my husband and noticed this place from the road. We are huge BBQ fans and the place looked promising. It did not live up to expectations. We were seated right away and as most people have stated the little corn muffins were delightful. Not traditional southern cornbread but I like my cornbread sweet. My husband and son each ordered the pulled pork dinner and I decided to go for it and get the 1/4 chicken & brisket combo. I figured there would be enough so they could have a sample of mine so if we ever came back they would have knowledge of the meats. They enjoyed their pork but the sides not so much. The fries were limp and the coleslaw a little soft. For the price of 12.99 it just wasn't worth it. Even less of a value was the combo I ordered. I didn't receive a quarter of a chicken, it was an eighth--a breast was cut in half. I also got 2 and 1/3 slices of cold brisket. The baked potato was a little over-done but the pit beans were pretty good. Not a deal at 16.49. Our server was a little full of herself but sure didn't do much to live up to her own self worth. We had to wait for drink refills and we didn't get our "caddy" of sauces, salt and pepper, etc. without requesting it. The place wasn't especially busy so there was no reason for her inattention. We won't go back. We have way more satisfying experiences at little hole in the wall type places.

Nice job with my to go order. I like that my veggies were in a separate container from my sandwich, plenty of condiments, and they didn't forget the corn muffins! I'm not usually a corn bread fan, but those little muffins were so moist with just the right amount of sweetness. I got a brisket sandwich with potato salad, both very tasty and loved that the toasted my bread. The baked potato with all the fixings is another good side....comes with bacon! Minus one star for sandwiches being on the small side.

Pretty great BBQ, especially good considering not much else is around here. Food came out fast and fresh. Wait staff was super friendly, and seemed extremely personable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in the Hocking Hills area.

A fun group of hostesses and waitresses sat us out on the patio. Our server was simple pleasant to be around and she acted like she liked working there. That probably influenced our attitude toward the food, which in retrospect, was about average. I'd be scared of Yelp if I was a BBQ joint. You go to a french restaurant that is subpar and most people find something they liked and say they "might go back," But as a BBQ joint, if you serve one bad chicken wing, or one piece of dry brisket the critics are more akin to a mob of locals standing outside with pitch forks and an noose. That being said: We were satisfied. Cold beer. we had some chicken drumsticks with a dry rub on them. After looking at the amount of dry rub, I wasn't sure they would be edible, however I couldn't stop eating them. I would go back for those. We had some pork egg rolls that surprised us a little too. Anything else wasn't worth mentioning, it's just average bbq. I did NOT like their sauces at all and can't believe they were as poor as they were. If I were millstone I would re-evaluate the sauces as they effect most of the menu. (Stamping my pitchfork a little). Redeeming feature: They have corn hole out back. Every bbq...no every restaurant including every restaurant in NY city that charges $200 a plate....should have corn hole.

I ordered a chicken salad. I got steak. My party of six others finished their meals before they replaced my salad. The 12-year old looking manager was rude to my husband who asked to not be charged for the salad. She was pretty snotty. The waitress was fine. We traveled from South Dakota and went to this place as it was near the motorcycle shop we were at - we spent $4200 renting an RV to make this trip to Logan and if this woman is an example of how people treat people - NO THANK you. She was mouthing off about us to the man she was standing by. We spent about $200 and left a $30 tip. Will never waste my life, dimes or time at this place. We are in $20-35k Harley's making $68-110k a year each. This place was a total fail.

Great food and service. Missy was our bartender and server. She was so sweet! We recommend asking for her. Sitting at the bar, we had the chance to meet some locals, and get some great local tips. We ordered some tasty beverages and the platter with all of the BBQ meat choices. It was more than enough food to split with two people. We had a salad and sweet potato fries for sides. The fries were perfectly crispy.

Great BBQ for Ohio. Good by my standards. My service was good. My food was good. I found it strange there were no lunch specials or deals. I stopped in for lunch on a road trip. I would say it was a little pricy, but I couldn't eat it all and I'm a big boy. I'd go out of my way to eat here again.

Being a Texan, I was pretty skeptical of this place. I mean BBQ in the middle of Ohio? Okaaaayyyy... But surprisingly it was a pretty passable BBQ joint by the pickiest meat connoisseur. We were seated right away by the hostess and she took our drink orders. I had to try a YingLing since I was in the northeast. I ordered a meat plate (so I could sample all their meats), my husband got the soup/sandwich combo, the in-laws got a wrap and a rib/ turkey plate. Let's talk about the meat plate. I ordered it without the sides, so it was .25 lbs ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey, and sausage. The good: the ribs and pulled pork. The rib meat fell off the bones and the sauce didn't overwhelm. The pulled pork was flavorful and tender. I added a bit of sauce to add a little more interest. The mediocre: brisket, turkey, and sausage. The brisket was a bit dry and needed the sauce to make it better (good brisket doesn't need anything). A fattier cut with a nice rub would have made things better. I did notice the nice smoke ring on the meat. The turkey was entirely too salty, and had an odd smoothness that reminded me of lunch meat. The sausage was fine-juicy and flavorful, but nothing u couldn't do at home with store bought sausage. My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich with a bit of the sauce. He had the potato soup, that was entirely too cheesy. When he pulled the spoon out the bowl, it was all cheese. After the soup cooled, it took on a congealed texture. FIL had a turkey wrap that he thought was pretty good and some sweet potato fries that were pretty tasty. MIL's rib/turkey plate (see above) came with slaw that she said was nice and the mayo did not overwhelm. The waitresses were super attentive and brought us a basket of yummy corn bread muffins (reminded me of Boston Market's). There also have a sweet BBQ sauce and spicy BBQ sauce available on every table. Not bad for the middle of Ohio!

This is not the best BBQ in the area. Go to the Hocking Hills Dining Lodge for that. With that said, it was good. Corn muffin start was a nice - and tasty - touch. The service was lacking. We felt rushed, overheard our waitress explaining specials to other tables that weren't explained to us, and were paid very little attention. Our waitress would whisk by the table, quickly ask if everything was OK and be gone before I could finish chewing and answer. She missed a round of drinks that would have inflated her tip. The beer selection was great, but by the time she returned to our table (with bill in hand, and no concern whether we were finished or not), it seems like we mutually agreed it was time to go. We had two kids, she spoke to them with little patience. The BBQ was good - no doubt, and if you can handle service that seems uninterested in you, it's not a bad place to stop for lunch or a drink (the beer selection was excellent). Pros: + Good BBQ + Great beer selection Cons: - Service. Waitstaff, and some guy up front on a personal call swearing on the phone in front of my kids.

I'm a huge fan of the millstone. I've been there several times and it seems to have just gotten better with each visit. The sweet potato fries are amazing. I've never really liked sweet potato fries until I had them here. The pulled pork and brisket have always been great as are the muffins. It definitely makes for a good time on a warm evening sitting outside having some bbq, a beer and listening to one of their bands.

We had a great experience at Millstone! Our server was fun and prompt. He took our drink orders and they were delivered within about 3 minutes. Our food was also delivered quickly. I had the turkey and it was the most moist and tasty turkey I've ever had. My boyfriend had the Carolina pulled pork and he loved it. We ordered extra cornbread muffins to take home - yum! We'd definitely recommend it and we will be back!

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon expecting some really great food. My husband ordered the grilled shrimp and it looked like they barely warmed it on the grill. The side dishes were absolutely horrible. The mashed potatoes were not actually real mashed potatoes as the menu stated, they were baked and then mashed. If you like eating paste then you will probably enjoy them. We will never go there again. The food made me sick, literally, and was way overpriced. Extremely disappointed. Apparently some people will eat anything!!

we quit going a couple years ago after becoming loyal fans after they opened. BBQ began to get hit or miss, as seems common with BBQ joints.Same thing happened @ Glass City BBQ in Lancaster-started out w/great BBQ & a bar, became a bar with food.

This is a great BBQ joint. The service is genuinely friendly, and the food is delicious. I had the brisket, and she had the smoked turkey. Both were perfect. Brisket was falling apart, and had minimal fat. The turkey was a healthy serving of breast meat with a great smoke flavor and very juicy and tender. They have Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, which is an amazing pairing with the brisket. The outside seating is comfortable, and pet friendly. Dogs welcome! I would eat here again if I ever come through Ohio.

Can you say food coma...oh my gosh this place was good. We just finished eating and not only was the service fantastic but the food was worth the wait. Id say we waited about 20 minutes before being seated. The bbq sauce is at the table and there are two kinds..sweet and spicy..you can add as much or as little as you like. They serve fresh, hot cornbread with butter.. You can almost pop a whole one into your mouth at a time..yum.. We started with the potato skins and fried green beans..then a house salad..my hubby ordered the brisket...he cut it with a fork it was so tender..I had a cheeseburger..it was so full of flavor. We will definitely be back. THANK YOU.

This establishment is definitely a cut above the rest! Awesome service! Great food. Great prices! My husband and I cannot say enough about Millstone BBQ! We are visiting the caves down here from Hillsdale MI and we have NEVER been happier with any restaurant! The place was packed and they said 20-25 minute wait (we waited about 15 minutes). All employees were working their behinds off! Good job!

I hate to give out so many 5 star reviews, but I do hedge my bets by using Yelp and Urbanspoon to find the good restaurants and their good menu items. With that being said, I can't say one bad thing about the ribs I had, or the pulled pork, the brisket was just okay. But everything was smoked, cooked the right amount of time, sauces were great, I chose spicy, Service was good, the server dealt with my demand for water with limes quite well, and the corn muffins with butter are the icing on the cake...just skip dessert and eat those instead.

What a wonderful dive. This place is perfect after a full day of hiking in Hocking Hills. We could barely walk, and then we stuffed ourselves on turkey BBQ and my husband had a pound of meat in his burger. Chelsea was a great server, very attentive. The staff was super friendly and they took good care of us. Definitely have the BBQ!!!

Had to stop here because, well, barbecue! It was busy on Good Friday evening; an employee at a nearby shop told us we might wait 90 minutes, but it was more like 20. Service was decent; I would say a bit slow, but they were packed, and the waitress checked back often enough and was friendly. The food... was hit and miss. The ribs were good, not great: meaty, tender but not too soft. Flavorful, yes, but not really good smoke flavor. Oh well, I still liked 'em. The brisket was pretty darn good- much more flavor, texture was again tender but not to the point of disintegration. The outside was close to charred, but not enough to keep me from eating every part of it. The house sauces were good- we both liked the sweet and tangy; the hot one wasn't particularly hot (a bit of bite on the back of the tongue) and was less flavorful. Sweetie's sliders (brisket, pulled pork, cheeseburger) were, well, not quite as good. The same brisket, so that was a win. Pork: very, very bland. I brought it home doused in sauce, so maybe that will help. The burger- one bite was enough. For sides we had baked beans, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. The beans were a letdown. Way too saucy, and very little sign of the promised meat. Potatoes and mac and cheese were pretty darn good. Prices were a little high, but not outrageous for the amount of food. I'll polish off the leftovers. I'd go back if I couldn't find anything else interesting nearby. 15 years ago there was almost nothing; now I bet there are other options.

I read some of the reviews and was puzzled. Maybe it depends on where you're used to getting your bbq and what style you like. Personally, I found this to be the best ribs I've had in quite some time from Manchester, NH to Piitsburgh, PA to Dayton, OH and now to Logan, OH. I did grow up in KY so have come to expect my ribs to fall off the bone, be meaty and moist, and be cooked with the sauce (plenty of it) -- the sweet, red, sticky kind that sticks to the ribs. So, yeah, if that's not the kind you like, then maybe another joint would be better. But, I tell ya, after a 5 mile walk on the Buckeye Trail from Old Man's Cave to Cedar Falls and back, I ate every single morsel on my plate and those bones were clean; they were, they were. I think I was making audible moaning sounds while gnawing.

Had the Texas Trio (substituted the cheeseburger for smoked chicken). It was a great way to try 3 of their meats - pulled pork, brisket and the chicken. The chicken and the brisket were the best. I got baked beans as my side and they were fantastic as were the mini corn bread muffins that were brought to start us off. Friendly staff as well!

Well, for the better degree the service was ace! However, The food actually does leave a lot to be desired. Certain items such as the smoke turkey are excellent (even though there are small issues with it). However in the world of the newly budging Ohio barbecue scene, this does not use the traditional Ohio barbecue flavors, nor does it actually truly at the pizzazz that one would expect. The sauce is available at the table are A spicy sauce and a sweet sauce. The spicy seems a bit of a rip off of in Austin Texas barbecue sauce, where as the sweet sauce is almost a blend of Knoxville and Memphis barbecue sauce. The mac & cheese has a lot to be desired as well, mainly seems as if it's General Foods service quality. The appetizer combo however does show one of their stronger standings. In fact I daresay they have some of the best deep-fried pickles virtually in the country! A brilliant Version of that a lot of barbecue shacks inappropriately use either a corn meal based batter or a almost nonexistent batter, The ribs, need work. No visible smoke Ring into the rib meat, Let alone after eating then you can tell there is poor prep work done in the kitchen on them.

So good! I had the brisket and my wife had a pulled pork burrito and we both enjoyed every bite. The service was adequate for how busy they were and the bill was less then we had expected to pay for how good the meal was.

5 stars. Pros; baby back ribs are amazing. Dry rub that galls off the bones. Beef brisket, sausage are all very good, but the ribs steal the show. They give a basket of cornbread mini muffins in the beginning that's tasty. The nachos appetizer with the pulled pork is huge and very good. Cons: my stomach loves it but my coronary arteries say never again.

I stopped at the Millstone on the way to Hocking Hills State Park, was seated immediately, and was quickly waited on by a server named Jean. She brought out some tasty little corn muffins to start. I had the pulled pork dinner with 2 sides and iced tea. Good food and good service. I don't usually give out 5 star ratings, but at least on this day they earned it.

This is by far the best BBQ joint in Ohio that I have tried thus far. We stopped in on our way home from the Hocking Hills. The place was packed and smelled great. Once seated we were served delicious corn bread muffins. The pulled pork and brisket were amazing and the accompanying sauces were delicious without overpowering the meat. Will definitely stop by here again in the future.

We came here after a 10 mile hike in Hocking Hills. This was a new age BBQ place and it had a very modern feel. Walking in, the hostess was very friendly and after sitting down, we were greeted with 6 amazing corn bread muffins. They were warm, butter melting, and delicious. Want more you say? $1.00 gets you 6 more of these succulent corn muffins. Yum. Beers were served promptly, although they were a bit pricy. 22oz = $7.00 for their craft special. Tiffany ordered the open face dinner with beef brisket. The meal came on top of texas toast, loaded cheddar cheese, mashed potatoes, and beef brisket covered with gravy. Tiffany felt they didn't need the extra cheese, but the dish was warm, filling, and just what she needed after a long hike. Jim ordered the brisket sandwich (brisket was recommended on Yelp - thank you fellow yelpians) and it came on a big bun with lettuce, cheese, and plenty of that BBQ sauce you will grow to love. The sauce was tangy and sweet. The restaurant offers additional bottles to hose down that heavenly meat. Yum! No room for dessert on this trip. Much recommended. Ask for extra napkins to wipe that delicious BBQ from your mouth. Enjoy Jim and Tiffany

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, it is just down the street. Open till 10:30pm at night, which is great, we spent majority of time hiking in the morning. We arrived around 8:40pm, place was packed. Took a while for the server to show up and took a while to get our food, but it is understandable. We ordered the beef brisket and pulled pork, both tendered, but had no flavor. Had to add salt, pepper, and BBQ sauce. sweet potato fries are great. Out the door, 2 adults 1 kid, less $30 (not counting the tip) Over all, great location, open late, and reasonable price

We went hiking in hocking hills with our mastiff Roxanne and we were starving but didn't want to leave her in the car while we ate...this place let her sit on the patio with us! The food was great too! Service was efficient but aloof not the friendliest but SO not the worst....the corn muffins they brought to the table were great!

Solid if unspectacular barbecue. I drove past millstone barbecue for a number of years, and always wanted to stop. For being out in the middle of nowhere it's actually not half bad. But when you compare to some of the offerings that you can find in larger cities like Columbus, it just doesn't stack up. The cornbread is pretty good, the ribs are so-so, and the pulled pork scrapes by. Our service was decent, nothing spectacular though. My water glass set unfilled for a few minutes, and when we were finally ready for our check it took a good five minutes for the server to realize that we were ready for it even though she walked past twice. Overall I would probably eat here again, but one of my largest complaints is that the prices don't seem to line up with the quality at you get. A lot of the meals are in the $15 and up range, and I don't feel like what you get is up to par with that kind of a price tag.

For all the trouble they put me through and how expensive it is, the food was lack-luster. The carry-out lady made me repeat my order, literally eight times. Then when I got it I was missing two of my three entrees and two sides. So I went back in and told the bartender; which where I had picked up and paid for my order. She goes and gets another girl, this girl brings out one side and one entree. Well the entree was wrong, so she went back to the kitchen. About 15 minutes later, she come back with the other side and one correct entree. When she comes back with my burger, its the wrong type of burger on the wrong bun with tomato on it. After that I just left, I was done. No apology, no manager came to talk to me and almost an hour after ordering my food it was cold and not correct. I will not be going back there for a while. Very unhappy with the price, food and customer service.

I've had the pleasure of eating here twice on my way back from doing obstacle races in Logan and Athens and all I can say is...WOW!!! The service was outstanding, the management was awesome, and the food was by far the best thing of all. The pulled pork was great and those corn bread muffins...are you kidding me? What is in those things that make them so freaking tasty! The only downfall is the place is an hour and a half away or I would go there every week. You have to give this place a chance!

I'll preface this by saying I'm from Georgia and I've lived in North Carolina and Alabama. I'm not a barbecue expert, but I know good barbecue and this is very far from it. I got a pulled pork and brisket combo. If the pulled pork was smoked, I can hardly believe it. There was absolutely no taste to the meat besides your basic pork taste. On top of the lack of flavor, the pork was painfully dry making me wonder if it was leftover and reheated. The brisket was basically the same. If I squinted, I could see the faintest smoke ring, but I definitely couldn't taste anything besides basic boring beef. My wife got ribs and I stole a couple. The ribs were the "highlight" of the meats but that isn't saying much. They at least had a faint hint of smokey flavor but they were also pretty dry which really canceled out any enjoyment. As for the sides, the mac and cheese was awful, mass-produced, velveeta-ish garbage. The baked beans also tasted like generic, massed produced garbage. The limited positives: the little cornbread muffins were warm, buttery, and delicious. The service was also attentive, quick, and all around good.

Fantastic food. App of Potato skins covered with pulled pork were wonderful. Big Bad wolf and Texas trio were wonderful as well. Big portions and I had to bring some home, this from someone who never has anything left on his plate.

Went there Saturday for the first time for lunch, and the place was stacked. Some larger parties were waiting for a table, but since we had two, were seated immediately. I asked if this was a typical saturday turn out, and our hostess confirmed that it was. Place is large, and seats over 125 with an outdoor space as well. It has a full service bar, and the decor is typical (country) BBQ. Spaces seemed clean, and even the bathroom was spotless. They also have many flat screen TVs throughout. Complimentary hot mini corn bread rolls are served with whipped butter with a hint of honey added. I normally don't like corn bread, but these were very good. We got the Burnt Ends (Brisket) wrapped in Bacon appetizer, which were good, but rather dry. Paired with their signature BBQ sauce made them more tasty, however, only two types of BBQ sauce are offered...their standard "Sweet and Tangy" which while very smokey, was too sweet for me, and their "Spicy" which appeared to be the same sauce, with cayenne added. No southern vinegar or mustard based sauces offered which was disappointing. We shared the sampler platter which was suggested by our server, Josh, who was very nice and helpful, however, too busy. Service was slow on all fronts, but I could tell he was hustling...management should have more servers working. The platter had pulled pork, brisket, ribs, turkey and sausage, and all were wonderful. All were moist and tender, and while the sausage is not made on site, it was some of the best Ive ever had. The turkey gets an addition nod for being the juiciest Ive ever had. I give the meats 5 stars. We also shared our sides...Cole slaw and mac-n-cheese. The Cole slaw was good...not bad, but not stellar either. The mac-n-cheese was rich and creamy, but rather bland. I would have liked a step up with it...maybe mixing some cheeses (Monterrey, Cheddar, Colby) some Paprika, or even some ham to give it some pizazz. Baking it would be a plus as well. No desert on this trip, but over all I am a fan, and wouldn't hesitate to return. Good eats.

Brisket was very tasty. To say the service was poor is being too kind. Our server was obviously in need of some sort of mood enhancing assistance and the manager on duty was less than helpful in the situation. She came out and barked at the server sending her into tears. This contributed to a poor overall experience. Back to the food now; the beans were devilishly good. Just the right amount of bite and heat they would be an awesome accompaniment to any BBQ dinner. They also served mini cornbread muffins that were simply awesome. They were perfect size to just pop in your mouth and we popped many that night. The coleslaw was straight from a cardboard carton was a disappointment especially sitting next to the beans. Have I mentioned I am a total bean freak? Now for something that I did not taste but looked amazing. The table next to us ordered the BBQ pulled pork nachos. Yes I am one of those people who check out what others are eating get over it LOL. That is the one thing that would make me return to the restaurant. It looked good enough for me to brave the poor service and marginal food to try that. I'm hopeful that maybe a return trip will cause me to rewrite this review. I'm confident that they can correct the poor service and I know the beans and brisket will be good. So next trip will be the nachos and a side of beans.

Sadly, this place was pretty mediocre for BBQ. It was pretty pricey as well. I had the BBQ chicken, which was not good at all. It had a funky weird taste and it was dry dry dry, even though it was dark meat. How can you mess up chicken???? They also serve corn bread muffins instead of bread rolls and those tasted like they poured an entire bag of sugar in the mix. Had to eat it with tons of butter to make it edible. I also had mac 'n cheese as one of my sides and it was terrible. It was cold and tasteless. The only good thing was the beer and sweet potato fries I ordered. But it's pretty much impossible to mess those up. Thankfully this is a one time thing as we were staying at some cabins for the weekend. Do not recommend.

Really great BBQ. The Carolina pulled pork and sweet sauce had a bit of spice and smoke flavor but not too much. I really like the subtlety. The open face dinner was also good. The bacon wrapped burnt ends were very good.

The food saved them from a completely bad review. The server was not very good like she was new or uncomfortable. They ran out of bread plates so they gave us salad bowls for muffins. Not a big deal until out lunch came and the guys that brought out our dinner didn't take all of these extra salad bowls. Just not a good experience at all. Luckily the food was quite good. Probably not worth the drive and headache however.

I stopped in with some friends on our way home to Columbus....we had heard pretty decent things, so we gave it a try. Food was good. I had beef brisket, mac and cheese, and a Caesar salad. Salad was good but typical, and the beef and pasta were pretty good. and I loved that there were BBQ sauces on the table. Really enjoyed the Sweet & Tangy! They also provided pretty yummy corn bread with lots and lots of butter. I really wanted to write a review on our amazing server...I believe her name was Jean, she was an older lady, and really just nice as can be. SO friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely go back just to say hi to her! And get some tasty BBQ as well, of course :)

I went here last night with my sister after our second day exploring Hocking Hills. When we pulled up the place looked packed. They have bike night every Tuesday with a live band playing outside. After waiting for about 15 minutes we were shown to our table. Our server was with us within a minute, and we ended up ordering the potato skins with the pulled pork on top. They were half off along with a couple other apps. They came out quickly, and were amazing. My only complaint is that they were a little greasy, but hey we ordered potato skins! We both ordered the burger, which was a half pound with pepper jack cheese, BBQ pulled pork and onion straws. It was probably the best burger I've had in a year. Also ordered the side salad, which was nothing fancy, but fresh and tasty. Mini cornbread muffins were good as well! Left feeling incredibly full and happy! Will definitely come back next time I'm in Hocking Hills!

Stopped in for lunch with my husband this past weekend while we were in the area for the Warrior Dash. We saw it as we drove past on the highway and decided to stop because there were so many cars in the parking lot at 3pm that we figured it must be good. The place is large and clean and seems fairly new. From the amount of money that it appears they spent on the facility and decor, I thought it must be some sort of chain, but the waitress told me it's just the single restaurant. They must be doing well. They had a large tent set up for shaded outdoor seating, but we sat inside. My husband is a sucker for any kind of apple dessert served with icecream, so I knew we'd be ordering the apple nachos (fried wontons with apples, cinnamon, sugar, and caramel sauce, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream). We decided to split the Millstone combo for lunch (choice of 2 meats from brisket, smoked turkey, chicken, and pulled pork, with baked beans and another side). We got the brisket and pulled pork with macaroni and cheese. From the moment we walked in we knew we'd be comparing everything to Old Carolina Barbeque, which is a northeast Ohio chain whose food we love. The first thing to come out was a large basket of warm cornbread muffins with whipped butter. We devoured them. The brisket and pulled pork were both good, well above "acceptable", but not as good as OCB, in our opinion. The baked beans were not very good. Too sweet and too soupy for my tastes - no better than opening a can of Bush's. The mac and cheese was good, but again, not as good as OCB. I enjoyed having the two bottles of bbq sauce at the table, and both my husband and I prefered the sweet and tangy over the hot and spicy. The dessert was a good idea, but could have been better. Not nearly enough apples. Overall we were glad we stopped, and I would not hesitate to eat here again if we are in the area. I also especially liked the mismatched antique doors they used to construct the bathroom stalls. What a cool idea!

I am actually amazed at all the great reviews this place has! Yesterday we stopped here while in the Hocking Hills area as it was one of the few places besides fast food for lunch. They bring a big basket of mini corn bread muffins. They are wet with something oily and the whipped butter is tasteless, kind of like whipped cream. Group of four, most of that stayed there. My daughter, who loves cornbread, refused to partake. Among the group were the 3 mini sliders plate, which was said that the buffalo sauce has too much vinegar. Most of those stayed at the restaurant as well. Pulled pork- you could see evidence of a smoke ring and the flavor was good if not a bit on the cold side. French fries were another story- they had an odd texture, as if they had been fried, gotten cold, then rewarmed in an oven. Beans were saucy and tangy with good flavor. Ribs were said to be good if not on the smallish side. Broccoli as a seasonal side was supposed to be seasoned and steamed- they were way overcooked with no seasoning. Having had the suspect rewarmed fries (who rewarms fries, anyway?) and possibly pork not at temp (it was a bit cold) and then being sick in the night (I can't say it *was* this place, but cannot exclude them) I will not return. If they didn't make me sick they probably would in the future if they are in fact serving rewarmed food and food that has been sitting around cooling its heels.

This is a nice little honey hole we found after a day of tromping around Hocking Hills. Now it's a place where I stop with my family when we're heading up or down the 33 trail. It's well-kept, neat and clean inside and out, loaded with TV's you can see from nearly every seat. Tons of good BBQ meals to choose from. OK, here's the deal. I only go there for the appetizers and beer. Couple reasons. First, the service is a bit laid back. I wouldn't call it inattentive, just laid back. They aren't going to smother you with refills and check backs. Second, the meals are a bit pricy. Third, they have some great appetizers. I think it might be called the Hog Stack Nachos. Sorry if I got it wrong, but it's pulled pork, nachos, jalapenos, cheese and all the other fixins that stick to your ribs with a few cold brewskis. Speaking of brewskis.....you automatically get 3 stars with me if you serve Yuengling. Plenty of beer, nice bar area and the folks are friendly. I look forward to stopping in there.

Amazing BBQ joint. Worth a bit of a drive just to enjoy the brisket. The service has always been great and the food is spectacular. The first time I went to Millstone my boyfriend and were coming back from a long cabin weekend. We slammed through a basket of the corn muffins and fought over the last one, eventually ordering another basket to go. We ordered brisket and ribs and they were both amazing plus huge portions. The sides are really good and the mac+cheese is worth the money. The second time I ended up at Millstone was during a girls weekend and we ended up slipping in the door just as they were about to close, they were still amazingly pleasant and we gobbled our food as fast as we could because it was so delicious! Good soup too! Would highly recommend, one of my fav bbq joints.

OK, so maybe we have been eating camp food for a few days, but Millstone impressed us. The service was excellent, and they let us sit on tne patio with our dogs. We ordered potato skins, pulled pork with beans and fries, brisket with salad and mac and cheese. We weren't expecting the large portions. The potato skins were full slices of baked potato loaded with cheese and crispy bacon pieces. Ths brisket was quite acceptable to this Texas BBQ aficionado. Pulled pork was very good, served sauce optional. Fries were outstanding. Salad was large. The only lesser star was the mac and cheese.

We stopped in while visiting Hocking Hills State Park. We actually found this place based on Yelp! reviews, we love Yelp! Hey, it's some pretty decent BBQ- my daughter put down over a half rack of ribs and my husband LOVED the smoked turkey. The sweet tea was WAY sugary, though, beware! The real reason for 4 star rating here was the extremely quick and friendly service we had form our young waiter. The place was hopping that evening, he was polite, funny, and went out of his way to make conversation. Everything tasted great, too!

Best ribs I've had in a long time! Great atmosphere and the service was wonderful. They do get busy especially during OSU football games but it is worth the wait! The corn muffins are perfect to hold you over until the meals comes out. We will back next time we visit Hocking Hills!

Why did I receive a little cup of brown sugar with my pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries? I know that BBQ is never a healthy choice, but good grief. Nevertheless, the food was good and satisfied even my grandparents--some of the pickiest geriatrics you'll ever meet. They were especially impressed by the mini cornbread muffins. Millstone BBQ was a perfectly nice place to stop for grub on our way down from Columbus to spend the afternoon in the Hocking Hills. It was a sunny day and sitting in the outdoor patio/stage area was great--I imagine that at night, when there is a live band, the place is hopping. The service, however, left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. The waitress seemed angry and never once smiled, yet called us all "hun" about a hundred times, which was fine (if a little weird) at first but soon became really annoying.

This place gets 5 stars for sure!!! There was 8 of us that went to this place and we all LOVED our meals! I ordered the Millstone combo; beef brisket/1/2 chicken side of mac n cheese and instead of baked beans I got a salad with an iced tea, while we all sat outside and ate our meals. It was probably the best BBQ place I've ever eaten at , highly recommend!!

Waited 25 minutes for our table, which was better than the 35-45 minutes we were told. Our server seemed pretty good at first but was busy, so we didn't see her much. A runner tried to bring us someone else's food, they ran out of plates and the guy bringing glasses from the kitchen had his dirty long hair hanging all over the cups. We were there over three hours and the food was not great. We sat near a server station and got to listen to the waiters complaining about the customers all night. When my wife got halfway through her meal she found a nice long hair in her food. Everything was so bad the manager didn't charge us and begged us to come back and give them another shot, giving us a gift card for the next visit. We decided to give it another shot. Other than our server constantly touching me and a couple small mistakes it wasn't bad, until they forgot to make one of our entrees. When our server told the manager (the same one who begged us to come back) she didn't even come over to the table. When we used the gift certificate (labeled "for bad experience") we weren't even asked how tonight's meal was. Worst restaurant I've ever been to.

good food for the area, but only 3 stars on the grand scheme of things -1 for a 30-minute wait on saturday afternoon at 2pm. +1 for lots of seating. +1 for friendly service. +0 for mediocre cornbread muffins. +1 for proportions. +0 for decent beef brisket. +1 for good BBQ sauce on the table. +1 for GREAT baked beans. +1 for letting me keep the extra food they accidentally brought out (extra order of bakes beans) recommended if you're in the area, perhaps at hocking hills. otherwise, don't go too far out of your way.

My friend and I stopped in our way back to Columbus from mountain biking at Lake Hope, looking pretty filthy I might add... We had always driven by this place when we attended Ohio University and wanted to give it a try. First off, the little corn bread muffins they bring when you sit down are amazing, I just wish they would have brought us more of them. I had the Carolina Smoked Pulled Pork dinner, delicious. I got the baked beans (comes with all dinners) and mac & cheese as my other side, it wasn't as good as I thought it would be but I think my hopes for it were too high. I recommend giving this place a try if you are ever driving by Logan on 33. The food is good/reasonably priced, the servers are friendly and the place has a clean, relaxing atmosphere.

This review is based on the chicken wings. They were inconsistent some were fatty some were burned. Their dry rubs tasted good but I am suspect that they are smoked traditionally I think they just added smoked flavor. They had no microbrews or craft beers on tap.

My fiance and I first came here after hiking and unexpected 10 or so miles in the area - we weren't sure if we were just THAT hungry or if the food was THAT good. :-) A few tries later, we are satisfied that this is very good food! Plenty to eat and reasonable prices! The fiance has gotten the delmonico steak every single time and can't bring himself to order anything else - he loves that steak that much.

We have been to this restaurant several times since they have opened and have never been disappointed. We hosted a party of 25 there last night and they did a really great job with getting us all served and providing good quality food. My favorite is the beef brisket, potato salad, and baked beans. The corn muffins are a nice touch. We also had several appetizers. I wouldn't recommend the combo platter, but the single items were delish.

We stopped and ate here because it was just down the road from the Holiday Inn Express where we stayed. Nice place. Food was good and they were kind enough to give you a nice little discount if you were staying at the Holiday Inn. I am not a corn muffin fan but I have to say these we just delicious.

Gonna sound stupid but here goes, Waiter Jesse had to much going on, food was good, beer was cold, here is the real kicker, when I looked up my charges on my card statement I saw where I thought I was charged to much, called and talked to Phillip the kitchen manager and he said he would check into it. He called back a few hrs later and took off what I thought was an errant charge with the general manager Adam but as soon as they told me I remembered I bought a friends lunch, they had already taken it off my card, I offered to send a check and they told me not to worry about it. I apolagize to the BBQ for my error and I will be back to make it right. Thank you very much

I've eaten at Millstone BBQ twice within the past year. We only get the chance to go eat there on Sundays after church since my in-laws live down in Lancaster. I've had their pulled pork BBQ sandwich with fries and it was pretty good. The staff as very friendly and waited on us in a timely fashion. I kind of wished we didnt live so far from the restaurant.

I ordered the pulled-pork sandwich with sweet potato fries and while the sandwich was good it was perhaps the smallest portion in the history of BBQ, I actually had to lift the bun up to find the pork on the bun. Like I said the pork was good and the sauce was nice and not some store bought stuff, a decent kick. The sweet potato fries were cold and limp with not much flavor. I went on a Tuesday, which is advertised as "biker night" and the staff seemed much more interested in looking like "bikers" than actually doing any work. I was actually told by the bar person that they were too busy to process my take-out order even though it was only 5 o'clock and the bar was empty and only 1/4 of the table were full. But hey she was wearing a black Harley tee. I would look for other places to eat if in the area.

Went here after ziplining at Hocking Peaks Adventure Park, right down OH 224 with a few friends, and we had a blast. It was a busy Saturday, with a relatively long wait time, but the food was really good. Our server was not all there. She would ask one person at a time at our table if that person wanted a drink or anything, but she would then just walk off and not ask anyone else. She didn't ask us if we liked our meal or if we wanted dessert or, really, anything at all. So, I'd give her a single star for bringing us our food. However, I loved the T-Shirt designs this place had, and I picked one of them up for my girlfriend. The woman in the front of the store took my order, and she told me how it took her three weeks to design it. It's a biker-themed BBQ place, and there were all kinds of biker-themed elements on the shirt. I loved it, and I knew my girl would too. They didn't have any super small shirts, but this one works. She also made a drink or two for my friends, when the bartender was a little swamped. Our bartender gave us excellent service, as well, while we waited for our table. It was very busy, but she was still friendly and was quick with the pour. This place is definitely on my return trip list, and I think it has now become a tradition to visit this place after ziplining. The BBQ beef brisket and pork were both DEE-licious.

Went here with the family. They were able to accomodate 7 of us comfortably. The food was good but nothing special. Nice place.

Millstone BBQ is just what you need to satisfy your appetite after a day spent hiking in Hocking Hills! I have been here twice around dinnertime and both times there were tons of cars in the parking lot. It's a big place, though, so the wait time wasn't too bad. Most recently they told us the wait would be 30 minutes but we got seated in about 15. They bring you complimentary cornbread muffins. I'm not usually a huge fan of cornbread but these are awesome! Both times I ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. I absolutely love that the sweet potato fries come with a side of brown sugar because that is my favorite way to eat them. If you haven't tried them like that then you need to. Their BBQ sauce is good and they have two sauces on the table, one sweet and one spicy. The sweet one is my favorite but they are also good mixed. Their desserts look awesome too, but I am always full from the cornbread and my delicious meal. Maybe I'll have to get one to-go next time. Their mixed drink menu actually looked pretty decent with a few unique options, but I can't remember what the pricing looked like. I will definitely continue to eat here when I'm in the area and I would be here all the time if I lived closer!

This is my favorite place to get bbq by far! This is always my first choice when asked where I would like to go eat and we drive over an hour to get here. The corn muffins are very good and they will bring more if needed which we always seem to need more. We start with an appetizer of Carolina Pork rolls and even place an order of them to go. The pulled pork, brisket and turkey are super and the portions are very good for the price. The side dishes lack a little but the bbq itself makes up for that by far...I mean isn't the bbq what you would go for and not the sides? I have recommended this place to many friends and will continue to do so!

My husband and I went here for dinner. The mini corn bread muffins were delicious, but as another person said, we wanted more! I had the Texas Trio (mini sandwiches: pulled pork, beef brisket, and a cheeseburger). Wish I had skipped the pulled pork and cheeseburger and just had three beef brisket sandwiches. The pork was a little dry. Hubby had ribs and smoked turkey. Both fantastic, he couldn't finish his meal. For sides, we had mac and cheese, baked beans, and a baked sweet potato. Nothing spectacular, but good food.

My wife and I are BBQ fanatics, and after years and years, we've finally found the best BBQ place in Ohio! I got the baby back ribs, which were cooked perfectly while my wife got a fantastic beef brisket. The BBQ sauces were really good as well! The cornbread muffins were moist and sweet, which is how we prefer them. Most of all, probably the nicest and best server we've ever had! Everytime we make the trip to Hocking Hills from now on, we're going to make sure to have dinner here!

We stopped in while moving from Northwest Ohio to NC the end of December last year, and again yesterday while driving back down after a holiday visit. Both times we were in the middle of very long days, and happened to be in the area as the hunger pangs hit. The first visit was happenstance, the second intentional. Both times we had very good service, and plentiful, tasty food. Both times, I had the barbecue wrap with slaw and a side of sweet potato fries. I wish they were closer, so I could try some of the other menu items. If you are in the Hocking Hills area, this is a definite must. Kind of a sports bar meets serious barbecue roadhouse.

Had the Beef Brisket and it was very good. Nice place inside lots of big screens to catch up on sports.
