I'm a little surprised to see 2 star reviews. I don't know what people expect, but you can't get food of this quality for free. If you're looking for cheap ass food with no taste or nutritional value, take yourself to TGI Friday's or something. This is farm to table at its best. Fresh, grass fed meat from local farms, insanely delicious. Grass fed filet - best filet I ever had hands down! Literally melted in my mouth. The potatoes were perfect. My fiance had the lamb with orzo and loved it but he was so mad he didn't get the filet, lol! The staff was on top of it the entire time. Our waitress, Erin, was great. I love the little touches like the note at the end. The pinot grigio was good. The view of the lake is a bonus but even if it wasn't for that, we'd still continue going back. Can't wait to try more things from the menu.

I had the opportunity to dine at the Crosswinds Grill in late-August and posted the following review on "opentable.com"; "Good but with some caveats Crosswinds advertises "farm to table" and the food selections posted on a chalkboard and at the table appear to bear this out. Food was generally good but my pork chop was undercooked (raw) and had to be returned to the kitchen for finishing. The restaurant is relatively small and very popular so reservations are a must. Unfortunately, the wait staff seemed to be in hurried perpetual motion and careless at times." Crosswinds Grill elected not to post my OpenTable review, evidently because it was somewhat negative. I also didn't post the point about how a waitress carelessly spilled the liquid beef tallow from an adjacent table onto my wife's purse and gave us a brown paper bag and instructions to iron the tallow out (which didn't work). Caveat emptor when dealing with this establishment. Visited August 2015

We had a great meal! Despite having a reservation we still had to wait about 20 minutes for a table but the scallop appetizer was excellent! Our server was decent and brought us some lovely chocolate mints with the bill. Would return for the food although it was a bit expensive. Definitely recommend a reservation regardless because the dining room is small!

This place was great. Farm to table food. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. I ordered the Duck breast, my wife ordered the chicken breast. I never order chicken breast when we go out. My fear is that it will be overlooked and dry. As I can overlook chicken like the best of them I usually order something else. Crosswinds grille's chef made me wish I had ordered the chicken. My duck was perfectly cooked and may have been the best duck I have had. However my wife's chicken was amazing. It was seasoned expertly and cooked to perfection. It was served with a spring onion risotto. This risotto was unbelievable. It was creamy and delicious. If you can imagine the onion and gruyere flavors of French onion soup, then add them to a perfect creamy risotto, delicious. To too it off this restaurant has beautiful views of Lake Erie. We really enjoyed our meal. If you are in Geneva you should definitely check this place out.

Staying at The Lakehouse, we were in and out of Crosswinds all weekend. They have some delicious appetizers, a fantastic breakfast, and a diverse and unique drink menu. We had one bartender that was such a wonderful person and another one who was direct but ok. The wait staff is adequate and timely, but the staff we had for breakfast was very sweet and accommodating. My wife was more than a little disappointed that she couldn't sit during their wine tasting, which I can understand on both sides: we were there as patrons and had been walking around GOTL, but the place is pretty small; they probably want to be sure everyone can get to the bar. There was outdoor seating, but they didn't open it all weekend (late June, unseasonably cool), which disappointed us, and all of GOTL was overrun with what I think are mayflies. Crosswinds had to be the best homebase for GOTL, and we'll be sure to come back again.

Overall, pretty good. They have a small menu, but that's kind of nice. Their house salad was okay. I think the only dressing they have for it is a sweet balsamic vinaigrette (decent). I also got a pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, and banana peppers. The pizza was very good. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice (a little classier than other places in GOTL). One downside was that they didn't have the AC on, or any windows open (it was like 65 outside), it wasn't hot, but it was musty and humid from the kitchen. I'd go back.

This place was great! Nice atmosphere. Great food and love the wine! Nice view of the frozen lake! Waitress was very accommodating of our special requests. Highly recommended!

After the tanebaum trail my husband and friends are here. The service was very good. The good was over priced. I am on a limited diet right now so I ordered mashed potatoes. The served me a boiled potato with the skin mashed down a couple of times with a fork! No seasoning at all! My husband and friends stated the fish that they ordered was not reflective of the price!

We absolutely loved Crosswinds. Our server Emily was nothing but a delight and the food was delicious. The wine was fabulous with lots of choices. We had the grass fed beef burgers with fries, that were seasoned perfectly and served promptly. We would highly recommend this to any couple or small group and cannot wait to come back and enjoy Crosswinds during the summer!

This is a great place with really fresh farm to table good. Grass fed beef, etc. beef was excellent. A few service problems but the food is totally worth it.

Great early dinner here Sunday May 4. I had the Yellowfin Tuna special and friend had vegetarian dish with chick peas and side of roasted brussel sprouts. My fish was done perfectly as requested, with ramp aioli that was wonderful, too. Sprouts were fabulous! Their Chardonnay was a surprising pleasure as well. All in all, a wonderful meal in a very nice environment overlooking the lake.

Great food, amazing atmosphere and great service. Prices were fair for the quality. The wines are not my favorite in a great wine region, but I found one I didn't mind. Great for a date or slightly more upscale meal.

We came to this restaurant because we were staying in the Lakehouse Inn next door to the restaurant. The atmosphere was nice but the food was a little lacking. I ordered the chicken breast over some polenta like mash. There were no vegetables, no salad and it was hard going down due to no varieties in flavors. Waitress also got my order wrong so we had to wait another 10 minutes to get our food. Very pricey for what you get.
