Los Guachos Taqueria Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

This place just has some really fantastic food. Everything is hand-made from scratch and is incredibly fresh. They make their own condiments including an onion/habanero salsa that will light your face on fire. The other standout condiment is a sweet green lime-avocado salsa that's perfect for cooling you down from the habanero. Try everything on the menu...it's all amazing and packed with flavor. Try the horchata or other interesting drinks they have here. They will all blow your socks off. And of course, try all the damn tacos. All of them. The al pastor tacos are amazing but every taco is uniquely awesome. I had the spicy shrimp tacos and they were a pleasing punch in the face. It strikes me that this home-made family-style joint stands in stark contrast to the shitty corporate frozen-in-a-box food you'll find next door at BW-3's. Seriously, check out Los Chachos.

This is the #1 taco place in Columbus (and the #9 in America according to MSN). I always try to find my way on here because it is 2.00 Gringas. This is some of the best al pastor in town and you pair it with some fresh cheese that sits just a second on the grill and you have an amazing dish. I took my work team here and everyone ordered something a little different and it was all good. If you want some quality mexican food this is your joint.

I'm sorry but it was the worst taco I ever had.the tortilla was dried up as well as the dried up pineapple .the meat was not tender.ordered a burrito good but I like cheese and no cheese.never had guacamole In my life even when in Mexico thst had Serrano and jalapeño peppers in it.sorry will never go back there.

Great food. It is an order at the counter and find a seat arrangement. No alcohol. Definitely going back.

  • Sharmeela S.

I loved the grilled Pastor Taco. The chorizo taco was too salty. The chicken quesadilla and fish taco were both good. When i go back ill probably stick to the grilled Pastor and the fish taco. The portions are small, so at least 2-3 items would be needed for lunch or dinner. The grilled pastor was 3.50 and quesadilla 4$, the regular tacos were 1.50 - 2$.

Went for the first time yesterday after reading so many reviews but I never took the time to try to find this hidden gem. It's located in a strip mall on Cherry Bottom and once u find it you will wish you had found it years ago. Let me begin by saying I have no clue what I was ordering because we Ohioans are so used to Taco Bell, so we all ordered at random. Our food came with bowls of sliced limes and this pepper onion relish stuff. Omg!!!! The relish is delish, but hot. We all got different tacos. We all agreed these were the best tacos any of us has ever eaten! We had steak, chicken, pork and fish tacos. Next time I go I will get the same thing but this time I won't share!!!! It's that good!!!!!

Stumbled upon this place randomly & it was a blessing. This place is amazing! Authentic, cheap Mexican food. I recommend the al pastor & fish tacos!!! I will be eating here again & often!!!

I really love the food at this place, however their website and the hours of operation listed on here are both incorrect. Nothing like a 15 minute drive to find out they are closed, especially when they have been open before. Get it together Los gauchos or you will not be getting my patronage.

  • Wayne C.

We both had burritos and they were excellent! Guacamole was very good. Very glad they are in the Easton/Gahanna area.

This place has the best tacos. BOGO on Monday for al pastor should not be missed. The shrimp tacos are spicy. Fish tacos also great. They serve Mexican Coke, which is way better than the Coke we normally get. Always courteous and fast. Call ahead is always a good idea if you are getting food to go.

I've been a huge fan of the bethel road location for a long time and am SO glad there is now one close to my work. Not your typical Mexican restaurant but very authentic. There are two things on the menu you MUST try if you've never been here before. The Al Pastor is really what this place is all about. Marinated Pork roasted on a spit gyro style with roasted pineapple. 3 of these tacos and a Soda is the best $6 lunch pretty much anywhere. Also, the Gringas (which you should also get with the al pastor marinated pork) is their own creation and is literally the best taco I've ever had in my life. Cheesy, grilled, sweet, spicy, smokey... You get the idea. Just get one and thank me later. Very quick service, an oddly decorated dining room, and crazy spicy habanero onion salsa at the tables make this my go to Mexican joint.

Met up with Gwen, Melissa and Lauren for dinner last night. It was a pleasant night out. Girls night out are so much fun when you leave the hubby at home! Just kidding! So onto Los Guachos I came on Monday for the BOGO pastor tacos like Gwen mentioned. I actually enjoyed my pastor tacos I got 4 of those and chowed them down quickly. It consisted of meat, onion, double taco shells, pineapple and fresh cilantro. With of course the cucumber on the side. It was quite the appetizing. I enjoyed my Mango Jarritos on the side. It was great to enjoy new eats and a great soccer game on the TV's there. I will not say which team I'm rooting for as well! Next time I hope to try the quesadillas here as I heard they were tasty. I'm a big quesadilla fan as well.

Met a few Yelp friends here for an evening dinner. I figured this joint would be hopping, considering Mondays are BOGO pastor tacos; luckily, not the case. I wasted no time heading to the counter and ordering: Chicken Quesadilla and two pastor tacos. The Chicken Quesadilla, hands down. Super moist! The flour tortilla stayed together perfectly. Excellent seasoning, yet not too much to mask the meat. Squirted a thin glop of the green sauce I top of the triangles. Pure delight :D If I would have just went with the pastor tacos, my review would only be two starts. The pork didn't have much flavor. The pineapple topping was good, but I enjoy carnivorous flavors. Melissa suggested I try the Steak taco and Brisket one. Ok. Oh, wait a minute. I was full. So I got those two suckers to-go. Can't wait to see how these little beauties hold up in the fridge, come morning...

I remember the first time I ate here and I thought it was the best taco's in all of Columbus. Well, that went out the window after eating at Taqueria El Fogoncito. Now I'm spoiled and any time I order El Pastors anywhere else, it's not as good.

  • Doc M.

Asked my new landlord on a good neighborhood taqueria and he pointed me to a name that I was already familiar with from what will be my old part of town. And with that info in mind I headed over for a Taco Tuesday celebration. Being mid-afternoon I had the place to myself for the most part and my order was quickly prepared and delivered to my table. The star here being some of the best al pastor tacos in town, served simply, beautifully and paired with fresh house-made green and red sauces. Bonus are the chilled bowls of fresh cut limes and their own onion and hot pepper mix at each table. If you are looking for great affordable Tacos and more in a clean, friendly environment this place should be an easy choice. Being so close to my new home will make this my TT destination and maybe I'll finally try something more than just their tasty Tacos...

  • Angela H.

Do not get your food to go. Make the time to eat your food in the restaurant. Don't make my mistake! I'm giving this only 3 stars for now, but I plan to go back to try again. I got tacos al pastor, chicken, and steak to-go and they all just tasted dry. Sure the meat had flavor but the overall taco was bleh to eat. Tried putting on some of the sauces they provided in the bag but wasn't a fan of the taste.

  • Hua R.

Al Pastor taco is absolutely amazing with a fantastically unique flavor combination of pork & pineapple; then for only $1.50 per taco, I could eat these things all day! Asada and Pollo tacos are solid options as well. Love their rojo salsa, but watch out that stuff packs a punch!! Great taco stand to grab a quick bite.

  • Maxy F.

I use to have a previous work friend, who was Mexican, that took me to a taco truck somewhere in the hood and served these amazing tacos that were bomb-digity! The cow tongue they served made you know it was legit authentic taco stand. Well, I never went back to that taco stand and I'm sure its somewhere out there still! I Anyway, i saw some great yelp reviews and it was like my past met up with my present! Lol. Everything was amazing that we ordered! Tacos, burritos... We tried a little of everything. The chicken quesadilla was my favorite! Their salsa and hot sauces were Ah-mazing! ...and funny enough they stuffed a flyer in our bag that says they are being featured on the Food Network this upcoming July 13th. I definitely recommend trying this place out to everyone!

  • Divya R.

I just wanted to reiterate how much I love the food here. They have good gringas too which have become a staple order. And if they had a tub of those condiments, I'd buy them. Almost feels like a steal when you compare the prices to the amount of fresh ingredients on your plate. Good going and very consistent

    (4)
  • Chad P.

Good tacos, great price! I had the Al Pastor, steak, and fish taco. All were good but the Al Pastor was the best of the three. Will definitely go back.

    (4)
  • Austin H.

I love tacos. I love these tacos. Beef tongue, tripe, al pastor, all good. Piña Colada water, good. I hope this place doesn't fall into the abyss of "that place next to BW3's on cherry bottom." Keep this place open, go buy tacos, cause I love tacos.

  • Chris K.

I've been going here for a few years(started when they were just open off Bethel Rd) they are the best Mexican I have had in Columbus and only rivaled by El Arepazo for Latin American generally. The comments about their Gringas aren't exaggerated. They are the best taco in the city and 2 for 1 on Mondays(you can get 8 and a bag of chips with guac for 9 bucks). They have a ton of great food- if you like spicy their red salsa is great and they have a pepper/onion/soy mix that is completely unique to them. Their green salsa is my favorite especially when combined with cucumbers. Don't sleep on Los Guachos. If you don't live close its completely worth a drive to check it out(used to drive from near Easton to off Bethel).

    (5)
  • Larry V.

So the tacos look small but the price is small as well. The burrito was about the same price as that big named tex mex burrito place. It was about the same size. If you want to split one with a friend and you like enchilada sauce then order that. It comes with a handful of chips. I enjoyed visit 2 as well as visit 1. Next time I want to try the fish tacos

    (4)
  • Marianne S.

Hubby and I stopped in for lunch..They were busy, always a good sign. So many choices to choose from. All the hype about the "Gringas" we had to try them. Let me tell you, all the reviews are right. The Gringas were delicious. Pork was tasty and with pineapple and all the flavors just mixed well together.. They bring you a bowl of limes and a bowl of some kind of onion soy salad to top your tacos. Beware the onion mixture is full of heat. Good heat maybe just a little much for me. Their green sauce was yummy too. If you are in the area try it out and if you're not, I think it's worth the drive.. Wednesdays are 2.00 Gringas :)

I've never gotten Anything, Ever, In My LIFE for 4.75$ that made me happier than the food I got at Los Guachos today. Here's my Story(Skippable): I hate my job. I'm a contractor with no benefits, working toward a position I don't really want in a field I don't particularly care for. I am forced by way of a cruel taskmaster style scheduling quirk to take lunches at 10:30 every day, driving me to eat Taco Bell or Wendy's Every day, alone. Lost in this sea of lonely beef swilling I turned to yelp. Surely there must have been light, if not in my life, then at least in those of others. Lo! A Glimmer! a highly rated Mexican place not even 500 feet from my cubicle. They even had buy 1 get 1 free tacos that day! I braved the Garbage Truck/Semi Trailer Traffic on distant eastern Morse Road in Gahanna and entered the Strip Mall where Los Guachos Resides. I had heard from friends who had visited the Godown Rd Location that the Pastor Tacos were good, so I went with that. What I was expecting and what was served to me were Good, and INCREDIBLE respectively. Blown away, I staggered into the parking lot and rolled back into work, unable to think of anything until I had told the cubicle monkey one spot over that our people were saved, and lunch on monday would Never. Suck. Again. The Habañero Onion slaw is great! The tortillas are fresh, authentic corn tortillas. The Pastor is served like Gyro Meat so it's kind of crispy but still tender... Perfect. The dress-up on the tacos features ingredients that at a 1.50$ Price point you'd be a fool to expect. We're talking Radish, Cucumber, Fresh slices of pineapple, Salsa Verde in a squeeze bottle on the table, a fresh sliced lime half to squeeze over the taco. Did I mention that on Mondays each taco is 75 CENTS! The furniture and decor is kind of retro Tex Mex Cool mixed with Chinese Restaurant quality Knick-Knack Mexican art. The Place is filled with the Hum of drink machines mixing Horchata and Piña Colada Bebidas. Overall I'd describe it as just crummy enough to be cool. The clientele has all the tell-tale signs of loyal fanaticism. First Name basis with the waitresses, busting in the door right at 11AM, and the lunching lady poring over her newspaper, knowing that the place is a well oiled machine perfectly integrated into her golden years. Just get there.

Wonderful fresh ingredients. The fish tacos are sublime. The tortes are awesome too. This is my go to carry out. Open late. I've never had anything that wasn't absolutely fabulous here, and it's cheap too!

  • Laura M.

The food was tasty but extremely oily. Kinda disappointed after seeing the amazing reviews. Everyone in our group got something different and the dishes with chicken were bland. I wasn't satisfied and the burrito made me feel weird and I couldn't eat all of it.

    (3)
  • Emily C.

We wanted so badly to like this place. We ordered the Gringas, chicken tacos and a chicken quesadilla. While the Gringas were delicious, the rest was so bland and disappointing. The chicken hadn't been seasoned and the sauces, while tasty, lacked any salt or real kick. Take out service was quick and easy, but the food was just underwhelming.

Every day of my life is a struggle. A struggle and war that I must fight. Every single day I must talk myself out of going to get tacos from Los Guachos. If you understand tacos. If you dream of real tacos. This place is for you. I can literally eat myself unconscious here. If friends or family are visiting Cbus for the first time, this is the first place I take them. The struggle is real.

  • Nick M.

They try and come pretty close to authentic Mexican Tacos but come up short. Better than most of the Tex Mex spots around Columbus that pass themselves off as Mexican (El Vaquero, On the Border etc) but still can't measure up to the fantastic authentic tacos found in Southern California. Meat here is too dry and for the most part flavorless.

I'm a big fan of Los Gauchos, but this is my only second time heading to this location. In my experience so far, it seems like the same friendly service as the Godown location but less crowded, so the service seems to be much quicker. All of the same options are there, and the food is just as authentic and delicious as ever. This time around I broke away from my usual tacos and Gringas and went with tacos and burrito. Look out now! By the way, if you order the Gringas or any quesadilla, don't expect the traditional quesadilla you're used to, because they leave it open face with the cheese melted on top. The pastor is clearly their best meat, but the steak was pretty delicious as well. My co-worker and I both agreed that the burritos were amazing. We were both surprised that we'd never tried them before. I also love that each table gets a bowl of cut limes and their special onion and hot pepper mixture, which adds some awesome flavor and spice to any dishes. The red sauce on the table is my favorite, but it can get pretty spicy so watch out. My buddy used to live across the street from the Godown location, but ever since he moved, I don't head up that way as much anymore. I'm glad this newer location is so close to my work, because it's nice to be reminded how great and authentic the Mexican food in Columbus can be.

  • Nicole B.

The tacos al pastor are the best tacos I've ever had in my life - anywhere. Combined with the BOGO deal on Monday, this place is my go-to Mexican place.

  • Cynthia N.

The food we all ordered was good it's kind of small but the quality is good food was hot and not pricy at all we tried tacos nachos burritos and I even had a piña.colada no alcohol it was good.

  • Derek M.

We really enjoy this place. The gringas are incredible. My wife also loves the fish tacos, but I can never bring myself to order anything but the gringas since I tried one. Staff is always super friendly as well. Just an all around great place for delicious tacos.

  • Dick L.

Great food, great price, great service. A no-frills place to eat with fantastic food. All the tacos are good, but I'm a fan of the lengua, al pastor, fish, and the Cabeza (when they offer it). They make some great salsas and sauces too. Never disappoints.

  • Taylor O.

Came here for a quick bite to eat. I've heard so much about this place and have had many friend rave about it, so I wanted to check this place out. I just had the Al Pastor tacos, which happened to be buy one get one the night I went. The taco was ok, nothing special like what everyone was telling me. Maybe it was just that night, but the pork just had no flavor whatsoever. Pork is usually very flavorful, but it was missing here. The fresh cilantro and the spicy toppings you can add were good. I can't complain too much because it only cost me like $4 with the special they had going. I do want to come back and try some other things off the menu, the sandwich someone ordered looked good. It was busy when we came here, service was pleasant and didn't take long to get what we ordered. Nice clean interior. PS: I just got back from Mexico, and I must say, these here are pretty authentic tasting, all they way down to the serving of limes and the onion mixture.

It's been a few months since I've been somewhere that has sparked my interest to review. Let me begin that if you are looking for Taco Bell, this is not the place for you. This is absolutely the most authentic taco place I've been in Ohio. Don't let poorly executed, out of context, reviews keep you from this place if you are a true foodie. Is the service "5" star? If you see it's clearly a food truck executed in a restaurant setting, it exceeds expectations of a traditional truck with more options and amenities. The food gives the place the 5 star rank. Skip the chips and focus on the food. Make sure to ask for the homemade tortillas. It's totally worth the up charge. I tried steak, chicken, and al pastor. Al pastor was my favorite. The habanero and sauces on the table are all fresh. The place is clearly set to fill the needs of authentic Mexican cuisine. Honestly don't go there if you are looking for a el vaquero experience. That's for the average gringo. If you want to get a little taste of how tacos should really be enjoyed...go here. Again remember to request the handmade tortillas. This has gone to the top of my list.

  • Tabytha A.

Yum! I'm so lucky to live near this place--buy one get one al pastor on Mondays? Don't mind if I do. Great service, a good menu with great options, and quality food. They give you two sauces, a giant bowl of limes, and a pepper/onion condiment, so you can dress your tacos up any way you want. I've had a gringo and al pastor, and of course, horchata to cool down my mouth. Hopefully I'll garner enough courage to try la lengua (tnogue tacos!), but the al pastor are great!

  • Elena J.

Great little place hole in the wall. The location of this place is fantastic. Their food and drinks were extemely cheap, can't complain there. Staff was extremely friendly and very informative. Their avocado and red pepper salsa is amazing. If u come back to town I'll definitely stop

  • Mark K.

Wow- I didn't even know this place was here, but when it came up on a Yelp search and the reviews were good I stopped in. Glad I did, and I'll be back. It's kinda like a sub shop experience: quick ordering, a few minutes wait for them to make it. Almost fast food; a helluva lot better tasting than fast food though. I had a pastor "patron" (large) burrito. It came with some chips, which were good. The burrito was excellent. The meat was very flavorful and tender, the veggies were fresh, the whole thing was fairly easy to handle and hit the spot. There are a couple of not-too-hot sauces on the table, and they bring a bowl of limes and one of their onions- pickled with hot peppers? I don't know, but there was a bit of heat and they really added some zing to the burrito. I had horchata with it, since I love it and don't see it often. No free refills, but I sprung for another glass. Very refreshing on a hot day. Good service, nice place, excellent food. I'll have to check out the other locations.

Holy S***! How have I not been to this place before, there is one near my home and one near my office!! All I can say is I must have had my head up my a** for not frequenting this spot for a while!! First - who doesn't like Mexican food and tacos in particular. There is a lot of good and bad Mexican food and a fair amount of taco trucks and fly-by-night Latino restaurants in town. Los Gauchos seems to have created a special niche for the taqueria and it is easy to see why. As a rule, I like any place that has a vertical spit of greasy odd colored meat dripping fat all over the place in plain view near the register. This is just a sign of good things to come. At Los Gauchos, that's the first thing you see, and THE PUT A PINEAPPLE ON TOP OF IT. This isn't a new trick in the meat world, but Los Gauchos has taken this image to heart and made it their logo and signature food - the el pastor! With the el pastor and the other meats on the regular menu (chicken, beef tongue(!), steak, some other stuff) you can get them in the usual standard Mexican Food Delivery Systems - taco, burrito, tostada, quesadilla. You probably can't go wrong, but I chose the taco - why - because it a fricking taqueria!! I got the el pastor and the tongue. First the tongue - if you don't order ir because "Ewwww, its tongue" - please stop reading go somewhere else. Beef Tongue is delicious, tender flavorful beef that is similar to tenderloin or filet mignon in consistency but tasty like ribeye or sirloin. Get this!!! Now the el pastor - delicious marinated porkiness!!! Can't go wrong here, tender, jucy, sweet pineapple juiciness on it - the perfect vehicle to shove into your piehole as much and as often as you can!!! Each table has a huge bowl of limes - like 50 or sixty gin and tonics worth and a huge bowl of something resembling onion cole slaw in a marinade. This stuff is a relish that tastes fabulous, but FAIR WARNING - IS HOT!!! A little is a must, but too much will make your eyes water and nose run and sweat on your brow!! I love this place, and will go back to this and the other location whenever I can. Viva Los Gauchos!!!!!!

Being a quick 15 minute drive from work, I hopped in the car to go get carryout. I ordered 2 fish tacos from the nice lady behind the counter, and only had a 5 minute wait. I got back to work, ate, and...unfortunately, I was not wow'd. I love fish tacos and I liked that these were lightly breaded, but they just weren't good enough for a return visit.

Los Guachos offers all of the deliciousness found in one of Columbus's authentic Mexican food trucks packaged in a common American plaza fast casual restaurant. This bridges a huge gap for those reluctant to stop into a pawn shop parking lot to try out a taco stand, but still want good the stuff not found at your local Tex Mex. The menu is also diverse enough to cater to those who don't prefer the authentic. You can't go wrong with Al Pastor in any form here. Today I went with the torta which was great; crispy toasted sub, good amount of meat, and all the other fixins to make for a messy sandwich. I also recommend fish tacos and gringas. While I do love offal, I don't recommend the tripa here. This along with no sign of buche or chicharron on the menu kept me from a 5 star. Tip: I think the hot pepper and onion mix is only available upon request for takeout orders, so if you want the additional heat remember to ask.

  • Ian M.

Al Pastor is fantastic, great chicken quesadillas... Service is a bit rough around the edges at times, but the food lets me look beyond that. I wish they'd fix those glass table tops, some have chipped edges (most do honestly), and it makes me nervous. All in all, suck it up, and eat good food. I do think the Bethel & Godown location's food is even better most times, but it could just be me...even when it's bad it's amazingly good.

Visited the new location of Los Gauchos for the first time today! Located right at the corner of Cherry Bottom and Morse Road(in the strip mall with BW3, UDF, etc), it's the perfect addition to the Gahanna area. I love how they have the same style and decor at this location. Part of what made me love Los Gauchos at Bethel originally was the big wooden tables and the big spit rotating that delicious al pastor right in front and that's all here at the new one! This location wasn't as busy, but I think it's still a hidden gem on this side of town. I expect it won't stay that way for long. Today, I had the gringas, the al pastor, and the fish taco. I really can't get enough of these babies. The ingredients are so fresh and the flavors of the tacos are so balanced, especially on the gringas. You have the spicy meat and sauce, the sweet pineapples, the zesty onions, fresh cilantro, and all wrapped up in a warm tortilla with cheese?! Nothing is more perfect, my friends. On one hand, I want this place to stay hidden so I can come get my taco fix in peace whenever I want. On the other, I wish everyone knew about it because they have made such a perfect product and they deserve as much business at this location as the Bethel location and Hilltop truck.

I was super hungover and heard about this place when I decided to try it. Seriously the best Al Pastor tacos I have ever had. The pineapple oddly mixed very well with the meat and cilantro. Only thing keeping this from being 5 star is that they don't have fountain drinks. Mexican food can get kinda hot and I need refills!

    (4)
  • Hung C.

I have been going to their location at the Bethel and Godown. I am impressed. Flavors and the standard in tacos maintain. They have 2 for 1 Al pastor when I visit on Monday. What a deal. I can inhale those tacos and I will go back for more 2 for 1 speacial!

VACO Columbus' fave! Any given day, one of our team will be there. Al Pastor and Chorizo and Brisket are legit! Douse in limes, green sauce and pepper mix and you will be set!

In case anyone was wondering, my daughter found her gold mine item, so we are a go with this being a good regular location for us to hit. I don't have the menu in front of me, but I believe it was a Juanos. It was like a quesadilla. She got the chicken.

  • Justin K.

Good tacos, El Pastor on Mondays are 2 for 1, but I noticed if you get them another day they are about twice as large. Grilled fish tacos for the win

  • Kaoru M.

Love the gringas here! The food here is top notch. Their east side location isn't as busy as their location off of Godown, so I'd call that a plus.

  • Kyle D.

We had some folks tell us that Guachos blew Yabos Tacos out of the water so we decided to eat dinner there the other night. I had tacos and the portions were incredibly small. The water that they serve is from a large container on the counter where you order, which is pretty off-putting to me. You also have to pay for chips and salsa which I thought was extremely odd as most mexican restaunts provide them pre-meal. I would probably give it another chance and order something other than tacos, but overall I wasn't thrilled.

A small strip center Mexican restaurant that kicks ass! Great prices on great, unique food. Atmosphere is bright but who cares. No liquor license!! Boo! No problem, go and drink next door at BW3s.

  • Myra W.

Second time here but still not very adventurous! So authentic . Tastes nothing like my beloved Chipotle! The tacos are cheap $1.50 but small . I got the beef brisket and this time I asked for the homemade corn tortilla . Well worth the extra cost. The taco was so flavorful. On the table is a bowl of fresh cut juicy limes as well as bowl with a spicy onion cilantro topping. Delish but spicy! The chips are crunchy and addicting. Note - there is a charge for them, the salsa had quite the kick so dip sparingly.

Simple Mexican food that doesn't come with a big price tag. Very good and a must try.

Never got around to reviewing the other location, but it's always been a 5 star place to me, and the Gahanna location is no different. It's really no different - same tables and chairs. I'd give it 6 stars if I could, just because it's super close to my house. I'm sure I'm not the only one that is happy to have more authentic tacos in the neighborhood. Some of the best al pastor I've had anywhere, and the fish taco is really filling and a great deal. Yay!

The fish tacos are amazing & I am in love with the horchata. Quickly becoming a regular stop

Before I even walked inside, I knew I'd love this place. Why? Because it's a Mexican restaurant...and it was full of Mexicans. That's when you know you're going to strike gold. They have a huge gyro-looking thing of meat that is absolutely delicious. Then they throw a slice of pineapple on it. The salsas are fantastic, be it green or red. And everyone is super friendly. This is officially my new favorite taco-joint.

Great food. Get the Gringas. The shrimp taco was the daily special and it was amazing.

To call this Mexican just does not do it justice. Truly unique take on Latin American food. Get ready for some real spice and a tasty unique accompanying add ons. The one thing they are missing is liquor license.

My husband and I absolutely love this place and come here at least once a week. The gringas are out of this world!! I like them so much I have yet to try too much else :) If you like good, cheap Mexican food, I highly recommend this place!

Real Mexican place, I generally meet friends there on Monday nite, after only 2-3 visits the gentleman behind the counter remembered my name. The chicken burrito and the tacos are outstanding.

Our friends suggested we go here for dinner. I had a bad feeling about this place because 1) their idea of good Mexican food is not mine and 2) I've never had luck with any restaurant with the word "taqueria" in it. Unfortunately this place was no exception. All of the portion sizes are basically appetizer size so when I got 2 tacos (steak and chicken) and a cheese enchilada expecting a nice filling dinner, I essentially got what would've equated to 6-8 bites of food if I'd eaten it all. The enchilada was tiny and the cheese was favorless. Sigh. The steak was dry and so was the chicken so one bite of each. I shouldn't have to cover it with sauces to give it flavor. So 4 bites of food total and I was done. I felt bad since our friends paid for dinner and usually I can fake it with food but I couldn't choke down the 2 bite tacos so I gave them to my husband. No sides, no chips and salsa, no return. This place won't suffer without my business, there were families there enjoying the place so I wouldn't steer someone away from it since obviously plenty of people like it.

One of the best Mexican brick and mortars in town. Only a few taco trucks are better. Just as good as the original location.

Mmm. Lamb torta.perfectly seasoned lamb on a crispy gotta roll. My wife had the chicken torta . This place is as authentic as a Mexican restaurant can be. It is clean, really nice decor, and very pleasant service. Do yourself a favor and if you are heading to BW3 skip it and go next door for a real treat

Very cheap, good tacos. I don't think the Al Pastor tacos were as good as some of the reviews say, but the fish taco was delicious and huge for the price. I want to try some of the other meats, as there are many to choose from.

We just ate here tonight for the first time. We got chips and salsa, the El Favorito Burrito with chicken, and two Kids Mini Quesaditas. The price was very reasonable and the portion sizes were good. The El Favorito Burrito was stuffed full of chicken. The Kids Mini Quesaditas had a good amount of cheese and chicken. The chips had a good flavor and the salsa was a little on the spicy side. The service was friendly and quick. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. We'll definitely be back, but next time we'll try their signature Al Pastor.

Have been to all of the locations and the food is always great. If you are looking for authentic tacos this is a place to try out. I typically get a variety of tacos, but the pastor is the best.

Very good authentic food when I think of taco's and burritos. I visit So Cal several times a year and this is the closest I can find to a true west coast burrito and the fish tacos are very good as well.

I am a fan of their location off of Bethel Rd. so I was happy when they opened a new location closer to home. If you like taco trucks, then you probably already know about this place. If you haven't tried taco trucks before then come here because this is an actual brick and mortar location and is a good first step. Roasted pork taco with the sliver of pineapple is my mainstay and haven't tried anything else. They have a good BOGO offer but I don't remember what day of the week it is on.

Authentic at great prices. After living in Mexico for years, this place is one of very few in the city that has authentic Mexican food. I noticed a comment about being put off by the large container on the counter and being charged for nachos. That's because in Mexico that's how it's done. Emphasize- if it's authenticity you're looking for, this is it!

Food is okay. A bit dry and pricey for being street taco-like food. They need more English speaking people taking orders. It was frustrating trying to communicate what I wanted to order. Don't eat the pepper mix on the table unless you enjoy the sensation of skin melting off your face. If you get tacos, make sure you split the taco in two (being it comes with two small corn tortillas) so you at least get double the tacos for your money. A run of the mill taco shop, but you'll probably have better luck eating tacos from a roach coach downtown.

Los Gauchos like so many places in Columbus is what it is- a casual, fast food restaurant. The portions are small but I thought very flavorful and fresh. I would suggest that they serve sides such as rice and beans. I have lived in Columbus for several months and in my opinion have yet to find authentic, quality Mexican food beyond traditional gringo dishes such as tacos, enchiladas, etc- El Vaquaro does come close but it too is a chain.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
