I'd have to say that this place is 2.5 stars. The food was just okay. It wasn't that special. The eggs weren't very good, and the sausages were undercooked. Their juices are a gimmick. Their food is probably a bit overpriced for breakfast. Also- gave the server a 50 dollar bill to pay for the breakfast for four, but that ginger thought it was his tip... Wtf!

First Watch is a real treat on early Sunday mornings (when you beat the church crowd)! Their menu offers many options, including vegetarian omelets and lighter breakfast and lunch options, which are clearly noted as such on the menu. I recommend the Cranberry Nut Oatmeal. It's served with a side of brown sugar and cream so that you can add as much or little as you please. The Joaquin Yahoo omelet is delicious, as well. My only complaint is their change in coffee--the former coffee was much better, in my opinion. The staff is friendly and attentive and I've never felt rushed during my working lunches.

Unbelievable food!! Perfect healthy portions! Had avocado, bacon, tomato hash. Just so impressed all around!!!

I came here and had their "The Works" omelet. It comes with greens or seasoned potatoes. I didn't care too much for the seasoned potatoes, but I'm not a potatoes person so I'm not rating the restaurant because of that. The eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, and mushrooms however were GREAT! I'd come back just for those. Looking over the menu, I'd probably order the Tri-fecta next time since it doesn't come with potatoes. That way it doesn't go to waste. *note to self* I also got their fresh squeezed orange juice but as I was leaving one of the customers told me that the Kale Tonic juice is where it's at. She seemed disappointed that what I had in my hand was just OJ. LOL. Also, this place has some kind of an App where you can put your name down on the waitlist ... I didn't pay too much attention to it but check it out next time you're there, or on your way there.

For breakfast, you can't beat this place! I have been here three times now and every meal I've had has been great (I've had an omelet twice ("Acapulco Express" and "The Works"), and a hash ("Parma Hash"). The service has always been good, even when they are completely full and there is a wait at the door. One of these days I might make it there for lunch, but if I don't thats okay since breakfast and brunch hits all the right spots in my tummy!

My waitress Tonya suggested the avocado toast which could not have been a better choice I can't remember tasting anything like it, thick cut whole wheat grain toast topped with fresh smashed avocado and extra-virgin olive oil, lemon and Maldon sea salt. It was served with two basted eggs. One word unbelievable!!! I didn't stop to blog or talk to the last bite. The service was so quick and friendly :) I washed it down with the Day-Glo fresh juice it contained carrots, oranges and lemons with a hint of organic ginger juice, what a refreshing flavor. I can't wait till tomorrow because I'm coming back!!

Decided on this after Dad was hoping for Waffle House. Perfect breakfast before the museum!

really amazing food for reasonable prices. Was traveling and found this place on yelp. Had the caps ETC. The pancakes are as big as your head so when you order one pancake know that it will come bigger than the plate. My husband had the fresh squeezed orange juice and said it was amazing. Definitely got our fill and then some. Coffee wasn't my forte but did the job.

I had the trifecta and a kale/Apple/cucumber/lemon juice. The waffle I was served was soft and stretchy. I'm sure this is personal preference- I like mine with a little structure. Juice was great. Service was good but our server was in a rush to take our plates.

I was in town for work from LA for a month. Ate here twice, once for brunch and once at lunch. Definitely the best food in the area. Healthy, varied, well proportioned dishes without compromising real flavors. As a vegetarian there were a lot of great options. The service is also extremely pleasant and cordial...and the place is kept nicely. I had the veggie grill sandwhich which was super tasty, and their special, the avocado toast with basted eggs..also pretty good. I find the price to be extremely fair given the quality of the food next to most lunch places around here. Wish there were more places like this in the area!

This is not my first time visiting First Watch. The service was great and the place was clean. I had the eggs benedict florentine. It was a little under seasoned today. The seasoned potatoes were cooked perfect today. One thing that was disappointing and annoying is although the place was clean the booths seats were torn and not just at my table I noticed around the rest of the place majority of the seats were torn. I would have rated it higher but that is just poor pride in your business if you can't upkeep the furniture. Invest a little money to repair or replace the booth seats.

We went in search for our breakfast place and decided to give it a try. It was later in the morning so it wasn't too busy, no waiting. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Tried the bacon, avocado hash, got a thumbs up! Oh, and the homemade jam was amazing! Must try! Def found our bfast spot.

Great place for breakfast. I had the trifecta. Eggs done right. Good bacon and the multigrain pancake with cranberries & nits was delicious. Good service, reasonable prices. Eat at First Watch around the country regularly when I travel. They have not let me down yet.

I think this place is pretty great for being a chain. The food is consistent as is the service. Everyone is very friendly even though they are usually very busy. Weekends you can expect to wait 15-20 min for a table. They do provide you with coffee while you wait which is a really nice touch. I really like that they have a "healthy"menu but be aware of hidden calories and fat. I can assure you that one of their giant muffins definitely is NOT low cal. Their granola has a massive amount of fat in it too. All are delicious nonetheless. This is a great place for a quick breakfast. Always good. Always friendly. Definitely a place we will return to.

The place overall was very cute. There was different types of food in the menu which made it unique from different breakfast restraunts. But I had the Tri-Facta ($7.99), it was two eggs (of your choice in how it's cooked), pancake or Belgium waffle, meat (thick bacon, sausages, or turkey sausages). I ordered the scrambled eggs, waffle with turkey sausages. I feel like we paid for the atmosphere. The food wasn't exceptional but they were just average. I feel like you can get this type of breakfast food anywhere like Bob Evans, Waffle House, and Ihop.

I am always excited when I find a true five star experience, anywhere, where I go to write a review and am almost giddy when I press that five star button and find myself eager to start raving! First Watch is crave worthy, unique, fresh and bright, suitable for any kind of dietary lifestyle one could dream up and oh so fabulous! They have such a wonderful and classy take on breakfast! I think I died and went to "Yuppy Heaven" on this one, it was truly my pleasure. Now with that said, the service on this fateful visit (my first) was honestly terrible! But my oh my, the food and atmosphere more than made up for it. Servers come and go! First Watch, I'll be back! We had the Sourdough French Toast, Bacon and Cheddar Pancakes, and a huge fruit bowl. Everything including the amply provided trimmings were mind-blowingly awesome. The homestyle potatoes were particularly intriguing, with such a rich flavor profile that absolutely danced on your taste buds! Get there early, seating is a mad house. Also, don't neglect to notice you can get free coffee while you wait right inside the hosting area past the podium! Such a classy joint.

Worth the wait,it's busy on this Saturday morning but when you get your food the drooling will stop and your stomach will thank you! Order the chorizo, and 3 stack pancakes! We met a number of different people while waiting and that was a great experience as well, as we are not from here and stick out like a sore thumb, people were giving us the heads up on what to order and we listened , this is the best breakfast place in Fairborn, and it looks like the kitchen is busy but honestly the turn around is pretty quick and they let u pre order( while your waiting to be seated, then put the order in as soon as you sit down) great atmosphere great service and of course the food.

I had breakfast with four generations of my family (five adults, two high chairs and a baby) on Sunday morning and we were seated almost immediately. We also were seated as a partial party which I really appreciated because I needed coffee. The coffee was good. Our service was quick and friendly, and the food was good. My only complaint is that the large groups tend to be at long tables, which can make conversation difficult (it seemed loud, but they were busy.) The table next to us (another large group) seemed very close to us, but I suppose there is only so much room. So, good for groups, good food, good service. That's hard to beat, especially after Church on Sunday.

This place is the first breakfast I've actually enjoyed in Ohio. Their fresh juice is to die for and the egg white wrap I ordered was amazing. It came with great salsa also! Great vegetarian options and good prices.

Oh, First Watch... you are almost perfect but not quite. We've eaten here a few times since moving to Dayton. The coffee is amazing and the food is certainly more inspired than breakfast chains. I find the prices to be somewhat high for the portions but I really enjoy breakfast there so I can deal with it. Unfortunately the service has always been "meh". They don't really seem to know just what they are doing. I went to First Watch with a group of family members who were visiting from out of town, we were staying at different places in the area so we met at First Watch for breakfast. It was busy, so there was no large table available and we really could not see the booths very well to know that our party of 6 could not fit comfortably in one. The manager/host/man whose title is unknown offered to split our party up across the restaurant, or have us squeeze into a one booth. My brother was the first one there and chose the latter. He quickly noticed that a large group of people sitting by the window appeared to be almost finished eating and asked the host about moving our group there before everyone arrived. The host told us that "those people haven't seen each other in years and will be here for another hour". They left about 7 minutes later. So we ate in cramped quarters. Not the end of the world. THEN the host came back over, looked at us and shook his finger in my brothers face and told him he "told us our group would be too big" for the booth. What was out other option? We wanted to dine together and were making due with our booth. I don't know why this guy needed to come over and act a little crazy to my brother. Recently we went to the Dayton Mall location for breakfast and had a fabulous time. The food is really good and everyone leaves happy, including our picky toddler. We will be back, but we will stick to the Dayton Mall location.

We didn't wait as long as the line looked. They were very friendly. I liked that you can order while you wait so your food comes to the table shortly after you are seated. The breakfast food was very good. The seasoned potatoes were tasty. The sausage and bacon were done perfect. I would recommend to my family and friends that it's worth a stop if you're in the area.

I bring everyone I know to First Watch! My husband and I are in love with their menu, its fantastic. I've tried a different entree every time and have yet to be disappointed. The staff is wonderful and very sweet to my little boy. He's a hit with the waitresses.

So I think this place needs to invest in some more cute chic decoartions. They are located in a strip mall to start, so that kinda threw me off a bit, you know with the plastic light up sign to match all the other soccer mom stores. So then you get inside and you feel like you are right at home in your neighborhood Applesbees(or ClubBees for ...others). But you know I can deal, so we go in get seated right away and wait for our friends. Great service, all day long. I got the pesto quinoa bowl, the husband was a fatty and got like 4 pancakes. Then I tried the dish that I wanted him to get which was a chicken-kanga-something from our friends. The two things I wanted to try were awesome. My quinoa thing was tasty flavorful and different. I liked that this breakfast place catered to all, athletes, healthy athlete wannabes, 4 pancake fatties and just normal peeps who are hungover and want food. Like they had a protein packed egg white type dish, yeah so that's cool. So at first glance you might expect this place to suck but I was happily surprised and would go back If I was to live in this city.

This place has its stuff together. Not only is the food great but the service is as well. We went for mothers day brunch, understanding upfront that the wait would be longer than usual, and the waitress allowed us to put in a quick-order so that when we finally were seated our orders were already put into the kitchen. I had the banana granola pancakes and was impressed with how packed they made the batter. It was so full of flavor that I didn't even need syrup. A definite must if you are searching for a new spot for Sunday brunch.

First time here, staying at hotel across street for business. I can happily say that I will be back all week. #1 - coffee is great!! (Coming from a Portland, OR coffee "snob" :-P). #2 Food is made at a high quality level, fresh ingredients and presentation are great, compliments to the chefs! Looking forward to exploring your menu :)

The service was pretty awesome, GREAT COFFEE (and I'm somewhat of a coffee snob). I got the eggs Benedict and it probably wasn't the best choice. The mister had some berry pancake?...and it was delicious. Would go again and try something different. They got super busy around noon, glad we got there a little early.

The food is wonderful, most of the time. My girlfriend and I have been to this place so many times we lost count, but the reason we keep going back is the best server they have, TONYA! Most of the other servers are pleasant, but stay away from the small Hispanic girl who came to our table and said, "Whaddya want?" Totally off-putting and rude. She even saw us the next time we came in and said (within hearing distance), "I don't want them." Just want her to know we gave her that horrible tip because of her horrible mood and attitude towards us. Not to mention, she didn't stop by to see if we needed anything during the meal (we did). But I won't let her ruin the overall rating of this place because it's one of our favorites. I was so used to ordering the Beefeater sandwich, but the roast beef was touch and go, being rubbery/chewy on some occasions. Some other favorites: Bacado (omelette), Acapulco Express (omelette), Cobb salad, Pecan Dijon salad, Chick Palermo sandwich.

I saw a sign in St. Louis saying they had the breakfast, but haven't had a chance to try it since now. We walked in and everyone was super friendly. We were seated right away. Our good also came out quickly. The iced coffee was great, too much ice, but all places do that. I had the fruit crepes, a little dry, but I ordered it off the healthy conscious menu, so should have known. The lemon poppy seed muffin was fabulous though. My husband had the killer Cajun with avocado, it was super good. My little ones shared a chocolate chip pancake, so obviously no complaints there. The OJ wasn't impressive although it said fresh squeezed. Overall, great vibe and good food, I'll definitely be back, even if it's in St. Louis and way better than The Egg and I!

We waited for a table on a Sunday for 40ish minutes and weren't put out by the wait at all because the staff was so personable and happy. The food was great, service as well. Do yourself a favor and order the French Toast Monte Cristo and use the raspberry preserves!

This is a very good choice for breakfast or lunch. Great service. Nice menu choices. On a couple of occasions the wait time for a table was at least 20 minutes.

First impression: it's a chain in a strip mall so let's see what we get. This place has a weird menu, missing a lot of the breakfast staples. We ordered the "traditional breakfast" which in my opinion should either be dirt cheap or priced similarly on the menu, to other dishes but give you a hearty helping, this was neither, "2 scrambled eggs" looked like 1 scrambled egg when it came out and some home fries that were just enough to cover the surface of the plate in a single layer, and your choice of bacon, sausage, etc. nothing memorable for sure. My fiancée wanted OJ instead of coffee, I was very surprised when I saw a pint of OJ was more than my pot of coffee. A cup of fruit is $4, take that for whatever it's worth. At this point I don't even care how good the food is (it was slightly above average) Overall I feel almost ripped off by this experience, never again.

I usually don't review chain restaurants, but I felt I should review First Watch. I went here for brunch one Sunday with my family. There was a long wait, but I live in Columbus and am used to waiting anywhere I go. We got sat in about fifteen minutes. I ordered the Burrito Vera Cruz. It was alright. The portions were surprisingly small. The "side" of potatoes was more like a few just scattered on the plate, almost like they ran out and didn't want to make more. The flavor was good, but it was lacking a little with the chorizo. I love chorizo so I was disappointed that there was hardly any. I like the idea of the "healthy breakfast" place, but the items that are supposed to be "healthy" really do not look appetizing. Someone I was with ordered the Athlete Omelet and it just looked dry. My boyfriend got a waffle which was decent. Overall, it was alright. I would go there again if someone wanted to, but it would not be my first pick for breakfast.

This place is popping on weekend mornings. I've never had to wait for a table, but I've never gone with a large group before. The service is a little slow, probably due to the crowds. I recall wanting more coffee and not being able to flag down the waitress. All this aside, the Bacado omelet is really good. In fact, it's delicious. The bacon is seasoned well, thick, and crisp; and the avocado in the omelet is a nice twist. I have no hard feelings with towards the wait-staff and think I've pretty much just talked myself into going there again soon.

My best friend and I had lunch here yesterday, and it was AMAZING! Our server (Ashley, I believe) was energetic and very funny. Our food came out quickly and piping hot!! I cannot wait to go back again. I have been in the past, but this time totally blew me out of the water. The food was delicious, service was amazing, and we left extremely happy!

I was staying in Red Roof Inn across the street from the mart where First Watch is located for a work trip. Red roof doesn't offer breakfast so I had to find a place nearby and Yelp made the choice easy. Boy, am I glad for that! I went there daily during my stay in Dayton. Food was the best breakfast I ever had, coffee was very good too and ambience and staff were all super pleasant. Highly recommended!

I went here with my parents for a morning breakfast. As always, I wanted it to be a top rating for all categories. SERVICE: Hostess was nice, but seemed not happy to be there. One of the most important jobs in any restaurant is the ability of the hostess to be welcoming, accommodating and cheerful. Our WAITRESS was fantastic... 5 stars for her. Personable, happy and ready to help. She hit the mark. FOOD: It was ok. Great variety, but my chief complaint which earned the stars above is the temperature factor... not spice...but temperature. The food arrived look warm at best, and it was odd that some of the potatoes were piping hot and others cold. Were they using a microwave? OVERALL: On the fence... will need to see.

This place is awesome! Fresh, cooked to order food, that always hits the spot. Their coffee is some of the best I have ever had, order it with every meal and could easily drink my own pot! Yes, that would equate to a large amount of caffeine. Pancakes are one of my favorites, always filling and great tasting. I wish I could dine here more than I get the opportunity to.

Whenever I visit my friends who live in Beavercreek, we end up at First Watch for breakfast or lunch. The menu is huge - plenty of meat eater & vegetarian friendly options. I had a Bacado omelette this last trip...tasty aside from the fact that the avocado wasn't quite ripe yet, so I had to fish it out and throw it to the side. It would have better with ripe avocado. I've also had the french toast and their omelette/crepe oddity. I think it's pretty decent for the price. Service is normally friendly & with a smile.

Blah. I think that First Watch sells itself as a 'fresh ingredient', 'smart choice', 'nutritious' diner or something. Not only is this place dreadfully drab. Not only does it and its employees possess no kind of real character, I think they make their food in the microwave. I had the breakfast burrito. It was cold in some spots and piping hot in others...kind of like a jimmy dean's breakfast sandwich. They complimented the 'nuked' burrito with a sad pile of scattered potatoes (also microwavable). The only saving grace here was their coffee. It was really darn good and it came in a carafe and was there for my pouring and refill pleasure. Stay away from this place. There are far better breakfasts and lunches out there! Look at these pictures for crime's sake!! Are those pancakes!! Does that look good to you!? The one on the left is either a half-pancake or is literally sitting mostly on the table. My wife's guess was that this is a picture of some elementary kid's hallway throw-up....after Mr. Janitor has come by with his bag of sawdust of course. Gross.

The family met up here this morning for brunch; still a wait for a table on Sundays, but 10 minutes or so wasn't too hateful. I had banana-strawberry crepes that come with a small cup of granola, strawberry yogurt and an enormous blueberry muffin that will be enjoyed tomorrow morning. Food was good, but $1.99 for a cup of coffee is a bit much, even with a table carafe.
